Upon entering Helheim, Freya immediately wrapped her arms around herself, trying to hold in as much heat to her chest as possible. 'How could anyone have survived this… There's no way Issei made it...' Freya thought to herself bitterly. 'But I have to try.' Thought another part of her. She started to move from her spot, a single step becoming troublesome as she started to feel her blood thicken from the cold. 'I can see where he stepped from here… he was dragging his feet.' Freya said, as her eyes looked down at the Icy-stone, seeing the small indents for his right foot while she could see the scrapes from his left. She thanked the Allfather that she could find these tracks, for it brought a sense of hope to her. 'He didn't outright just die...' Another wind chill sent a shiver down her spine. 'Hold on Issei… I'll find you.' The Valkyrie swore, her right hand clenching at her heart.

Issei had ran out of food. The Hel's Bramble that had grown near him had been eaten away by the lad. 'I could have sworn I wasn't eating so much… just how long have I been here?' He asked himself as he walked down the stone bridge again. 'So many bridges… just how large is this realm?' Issei took a left turn, deciding that going straight was getting boring. He turned left onto another bridge, which he found led to a dead end. Well, it led to a circular platform against a large iceberg. 'Why is there a platform there… with nothing around?' He questioned. His curiosity defeated his need to survive, for he figured there must be something there that could help him survive!

Issei walked onto the platform and looked at the iceberg, only for his eyes to widen! There was a large crevice hidden in the Iceberg that unless you were on the platform, at the right angle, you wouldn't see it! As he went to the crevice, he started to shimmy inside, only to find that it widened up into a large hallway! 'Someones been here… someones survived!' He cheered, a grin spreading across his worn out face. He wiggled further into the crevice and entered the hallway, slowly walking down the somehow lit ice cave. The cave curved to the left out of sight, which meant he couldn't see the end just yet. When he got around the corner, he stopped for a moment as at the end was just a solid wall of ice. He scratched his head. 'This can't be the end...' He cried out in his head, walking up to the wall, raising both hands and slamming them down hard on the ice… if it wasn't for the fact that his hands went straight through. 'Illusion magic...' He thought as he walked through the fake wall.

On the other side of the illusion was another wall, but this time there was something else added onto it. There was a large square-shaped blue crystal. On the sides of the square were intricate designs that reminded him of Asgard. He got closer and looked at the designs before smiling. 'Odin! He's been here before and put this here! I wonder what he did here?!' He thought excitedly, turning his attention to the crystal, only to freeze. The crystal was like a mirror, showing off Issei's reflection. As soon as his mind was able to comprehend just what was going on with his body, it was like a war going off. His nerves suddenly switched on and he collapsed under the sheer weight of the agony that the pain receptors was doing to him. Hunger, thirst, need for nutrition, the amount of physical exercise that strained his non existent muscles, lack of sleep, let alone whatever he was putting into his body was doing to him. Upon hitting the floor, his mind immediately shut off and knocked him out, just to avoid the pain.

As if that wasn't enough, the black sludge in his body, that was coating his organs seemed to have increased in it's thickness, starting to slowly cut off his airways now and blood flow. Due to the lack of blood flow, the warmth that was once provided to his body was removed and the cold started to seep into the humans bones. He, was dying.

Freya pushed herself further and further into the wasteland. The snow had started to come down even harder a few minutes into her journey, and the winds came with more fury. 'It's like it knows that I'm coming for Issei and doesn't want to give him up… damn this realm.' The Goddess continued to follow Issei's tracks the best she could, but the snow coming down was starting to coat the ground, meaning her trail was going to go cold. Pun intended. 'I need to hurry up before I lose him.' Freya thought, forcing her body to go a little bit faster, straining her already deteriorating strength. She crawled into the first little home that Issei had rested in, noticing the signs of where he curled up here for a period of time. 'Hold on Issei. I'm coming.' She thought with a little strength, coming out on the other side and forcing her body to continue its trek. Coming out from the other side, Freya was battered with another gust of wind, this time feeling as if it was a punch to the gut. She froze for a few seconds but once more continued onward, this time going even faster as the trail was already barely visible. 'Issei!'

Odin and his wife Frigg teleported from the palace to where the gateway to Yggdrasil was after having gathered some loyal warriors. Thor was among them, despite the resentment coming from his parents. It's not that they hated him, but, his actions have caused so much strife that they can't help but put some partial blame on Issei's current situation on him. So despite the fact they put some blame on him, when Thor offered, which they took as sincere, to find his little brother, they allowed him to come. His power might allow him to brave the cold of Helheim just enough to rescue Issei. Upon arriving from the mass teleportation magic, Heimdallr moved in their path blocking the door.

"Heimdallr! What is the meaning of this?!" Frigg demanded, glaring at the stoic guardian. Odin placed his right hand on his wife's shoulder to try and stem her anger.

"My wife and I are trying to rescue our son, so why do you stand in our way?" Odin asked calmly, but it didn't betray the anger hidden beneath. He was angry, but he was also a calm leader most of the time.

"I cannot allow for you or your wife to risk your lives to rescue the human, even if he is your son. Your duty is to Asgard and the nine realms. If either of you were to fall to that wasteland, then Ragnarök is sure to come." Heimdallr said calmly, though he knew very well that if Odin or Thor wanted to, they could easily get past him.

"I respect that opinion of yours Heimdallr, but this our son. Don't you dare expect us to sit back and do nothing!" Frigg said with a cold motherly voice.

"I'm not for there is already someone in Helheim looking for your son." He replied with a shake of his head. "That being said, even if she fails, I cannot allow any of you to enter Helheim and risk your lives as well as the lives of everyone in the Nine Realms just for a single person. You wouldn't do this for Thor, so do not expect me to allow this." He said calmly.

"That's because Thor can protect himself! Issei can't protect himself like he can!" Frigg said, glaring even more towards the guardian of the gateway.

"That is your fault for bringing a human into the world of Gods and monsters." Heimdallr said cruelly. He didn't want to be cruel to his Queen, but he had to make sure that Asgard was kept safe as was his job. Frigg was about to pull away from her husband and attack the guardian God, but Odin's sigh and next words stopped her.

"Very well. You've made your point Heimdallr-"

"What do you mean?! That's our son in there!" Frigg turned to stare accusingly at her husband. "Do you not love him?!"

"Of course I love him!" Odin replied, his voice booming. "Don't you dare assume that I do not care for our boy! But our duty is to the Nine Realms! We've been preparing ourselves for Ragnarök and if we perish, it will come and annihilate everyone!" Odin would take a deep breath and calm himself. "Our son cannot be our first priority, or we are no longer fit to rule Asgard or keep the Nine Realms safe." He said, staring at his wife. Frigg could see that this pained him as much as it did her.

"I just want our boy back..." Frigg said, placing her head into her husbands chest in which he wrapped his arms around her lovingly. Odin looked up and stared at Heimdallr.

"Who went after our boy?" He asked the guardian.

"Freya offered to go and I did not stop her. She's been in there for an hour now. I told her she had two days time to find him or I will close the portal behind her. I will not allow harm to come to Asgard." Heimdallr said, glancing behind him at the portal.

Frigg sniffled, and looked up at Odin. "If it's Freya..."

"Then I'm sure our son will be returned to us." Odin said with a smile.

'She's found someone to rely on.' The two of them thought together.

Freya shivered once again as another chilly wind battered her body, seeping into her clothes. She looked around, her eyes widening. The trail was gone. 'No! I was so close! Damnit!' She cursed, looking around frantically, but the sudden movements had forced her to trip and fall on the cursed ice, falling onto the ice and snow. She let out a loud cry of pain, trying to get back up but her hands slipped on the ice beneath the snow. She clenched her fists and slowly started to get back up this time which she finally did, but her legs were shaking from the strain and the cold. She looked around once more, not trying to overdo herself until she trips, when she spots the split in the bridge up ahead. She started to stumble forward, wrapping her arms around herself even tighter as tears threatened to fall from her face.

'Why… why do I even do this? He's just a human… He's already dead. I should just turn back now.'

'You like him. He has so much potential. You've felt your heart beat neat his. That's why'

'Do you wish to turn back and face the Allfather? What about Frigg? Think you could face her and tell her that you gave up because he's a human?'

'Find your human and keep him safe. Find out just how much you care for him.'

Freya stood at place where there was a break in the bridge. A bridge to the left as well as going forward. She looked around, trying to figure out where Issei would go. She bit her lip and decided to go left, hoping that Issei would think like herself. After five minutes of walking a mere hundred feet, she found herself at an iceberg with a crevice. She peered inside and decided that this would be a good place to recuperate. It's sure to be warmer. She entered the crevice and was relieved that she was right. The cave inside was warmer than it was outside and there was no wind to batter her body. She slumped to the ground nearby and started to take deep breaths, rubbing her hands, legs and feet trying to get some warmth back in them so she could go back out soon to find Issei.

"Damnit Issei… where are you?" She asked out loud this time, finding the energy in her to get her voice going. As if there was a shred of kindness life in Helheim, Freya heard a moan of anguish. Her eyes widened and she scrambled up, quickly moving towards the sound. She had her sword drawn just in case, but when she rounded the curve of the long hallway, she immediately stopped. She looked confused for a moment, seeing that there was nothing there but a solid ice wall. A few seconds later, her powers started to flow back to her and she sensed that the faint presence of magic. Familiar magic. She walked forward to the wall and the magic got stronger. 'An illusion.' She quickly entered through the fake ice wall, only to drop her sword.

Lying, curled up on the floor, was a body. Covered in warm clothes, she couldn't tell who it was, but from the deterioration of the skin on his face, she could tell that it was a human. "Issei..."
