Kuroto watched the cast he had over his left arm, scowling at one of the many signs his body bore of the ludicrous beatdown he received.
It shouldn't have gone like this. He shouldn't have been humiliated the way he did. Part of him wanted for this to be a bad dream considering that he, at least, got some good news from that horrendous defeat- his target was strong, thus he could become an even stronger monster once he found a way to claim him.
Yet, his return back home had put a big block to his expectation of healing up and then trying to catch Moon Knight again, this time to fight him off at maximum capacity and with various tricks his mind had conjured out of shame and anger.
The block itself was mustered by his parents. His father, he could handle. Edwin would just scoff at him for losing to a human, but he wasn't too strict over the idea that this human was close to the Taimanin- enough to make his unusual strength 'expected'. He didn't veto Kuroto from trying again, but refused to give him any aid in this endeavor.
His mother was, however, another story entirely. Shinganji Kaede, former heiress to the Shinganji Clan, was known by many as 'Mrs. Black'. While it was common knowledge that she was indeed married with Edwin Black, and was regarded as one of NOMAD's founders together with Edwin and her brother, Sakyo, no one knew the full extent of the relationship between the vampire and the former taimanin.
Some thought that Edwin had broken her mind and turned her into 'his sow'. Yet, this theory was easily debunked by the fact that Edwin was known to dislike that sort of conversation. Any insult on Kaede was perceived as an insult against him. So... the truth was messy.
Even Kuroto was happily ignorant about details, but he knew one thing: if there was to be an 'aggressor' responsible for their love, it was his mother. Despite her soft and kind mannerism, Kaede was not a saint. Not with the fact she was constantly trying to mellow her husband into giving her 'more children'. Ironically, the demon that was Edwin Black wasn't that into having a large family.
It was considered 'miraculous' even by his most trusted officers that he allowed for three children to be born from him, but there was also the fact that Kaede's fertility had to be 'sealed away' so 'Edwin could please her without any new responsibility'. It pissed Kuroto's mother to no end, but her desire for a massive family waned entirely.
At this point, she was the kind of woman that over-worried over her two youngest children since her eldest daughter had been claimed away by Gosha during a raid. Kuroto hated that form of attention as it made him feel weaker than he was supposed to be- even more now that she had put him into 24/7 Guarded Monitoring.
The one acting as his minder? None other than his older sister.
Felicia Black was, by all definitions, a brat. She loved being spoiled rotten by her mother, she loved less to be sent away in missions by their father but... he also loved to tease the ever-living shit out of her 'little otouto'.
"Aww, you got bruised and beaten by a boy wearing a costume? I bet that hurts where it matters~."
"Shut it!"
Her red mirthful eyes were haunting. While he would normally not be irked by her antics considering how 'resilient' he got at those in the last few years, Kuroto knew that his sister was, without any reasonable doubt, a fucking bitch. The pink-haired imp was also extremely aware that the source of his defeat was the 'conversation of the month'.
Many had learned of what happened, but many had not expected for the 'newest hero in Tokyo' to be strong enough to create problems to the son of Edwin Black. And while this should have warranted a punishment from Edwin himself towards his son for this sort of 'bad PR campaign', the vampire had masterfully weaved a different story through 'reports he considered reliable enough'.
"Moon Knight is being trained by a Taimanin that is working in Tokyo."
This destroyed the previous narrative that Kuroto was weak. In truth, while he wasn't at the same level as his father, it made sense that some abnormal kid with combat experience and some interesting odd power could outpace someone as inexperienced as Kuroto.
The 'punishment' that he thus got was acceptable: intense training under the Hell Knight Ingrid. Ingrid was strong and was meritably capable as a teacher. Yet, he was still stuck in recovering. Edwin had called this as a 'learning experience for going out to look for trouble' as Kuroto could have been healed at a faster pace but... he had to 'learn his place'.
Thus, he was stuck in bed, moaning inwardly over the fact he found what he was looking for and got his shit promptly kicked by the very knight he wanted to claim.
"Are you still thinking of that lil' Knight?" The purring noise coming from the chair beside his medical bed stirred a growl from within the vampire hybrid.
"Felicia-"
The girl was finishing reading a book, her gaze back at him as Kuroto glared viciously at her.
"Still hurts~?"
"How about you stick a wooden stake on your whorish ho-"
Before he was done uttering those vitriolic words, the door opened suddenly and brought him out of his furious mood. After all the angry red-and-green eyes of one Shinganji Kaede had him terrified as he realized she heard what he was about to say.
The beautiful woman had blonde hair kept mostly short as two thin twin-tails fluttered to the side as they were 'wrapped' by two green ribbons. Her kimono was impeccable, but it hardly did the effort of keeping eyes away from her motherly curves.
"Mom-"
"Not a word, my child. You should focus on healing rather than insulting your sister."
"Ah-" The pinkette squeaked victoriously, but she was cut short by their mother.
"And you, young lady, should be out for that mission your father send you to deal with."
"But it's booooring!" The girl whined childishly, yet closed her book and smiled. "But since it's mom asking, then I will do it."
This kind of boot-licking was just infuriating. Especially when Felicia was just fine being babied by their mother without ever feeling embarrassed about it.
Soon, it was just him and his mother. Kuroto wasn't looking forward to this, not when the strange smile on the woman's face just promised a new round of embarrassing topics to endure under her delight.
"Now, my beloved son, how about you tell me how do you feel?"
"Like cra- poop."
The brief 'facial inclination' towards disapproval had the boy correct his phrasing, the end result mustering a relieved smile.
"At least you will be off to be back to work by tomorrow. That means being a responsible young man-"
"I am responsible!"
"Responsible doesn't mean just rushing into a case of 'trouble' that got you beaten down quite badly, Kuro-chan."
His jaw hit the floor at that comeback, and he pouted over that circumstance.
"H-he was lucky-"
"Your father would say if he was your age," Kaede interjected smootly, "But he knows better than being an arrogant fool when he knows there are entities that are stronger than him."
"...Doesn't father chase after that Igawa girl?"
A dark scowl appeared on his mother's face. "Yes, and he does get reminded from time to time that I am his wife and that I have access to a pair of scissors while he slumbers. He knows better than just plotting to obtain her powers, which, truth be told, would help our cause immensely."
Kuroto looked away, pondering over his father's recent obsession with Igawa Asagi and her peculiar 'dimension cutter ability'. It was indeed strong but... he made it weird about 'being one with a young woman' considering that he was already with wife and with kids.
Demons were known to 'take', but it felt wrong to apply that to his father considering he 'already took' and he 'did not want more responsibilities'. But while he was contemplating this, his mother retrieved a document she was soon reading.
"Also, in this regard, I think I need to tell you this, so, beloved son, listen."
Kuroto turned to stare at her, frowning at the paper and then the serious look his mother was mustering.
"Now, I know you are at the ripe age where puberty is soon to unfolds, and while I am your mother and should lead you in a path of goodness, I also have to tell you that your choice matters a lot. Hence why, in the case you want to 'become one' with your new cute rival, then we will support you as your parents. Your happiness is very important to us."
...
"Mom, I am not gay-"
"But you want to still hunt this Moon Knight and 'claim him' right?"
"Well, yeah-"
"More than going for women like your father did with Ingrid."
His mouth opened in shock. "T-That surely is not why father did it."
"Sonny, why do you think your dad took in a strong and reliable woman to be his guard and not a bulky muscular man?"
Kuroto wanted to say that wasn't the reason, but then he realized how his father cared a lot about appearances beyond quality. And... and he realized that this choice of his may appear as if he was moving to claim a 'man' rather than a guard.
"I-I chose him because he was good- I mean, a good fighter."
Kaede giggled. "It's alright, you don't need to rush it. Just think about it but know that we still support you."
And she left with that message. Poor Kuroto had a rather tense silent time with himself.
And some of his dilemmas left him extremely confused on what the fuck he was supposed to do with his desire to claim the Moon Knight as his own Knight.
Tsukino Usagi was... training. Sorta.
Luna had mentioned she had to do something to improve her mobility. In truth, that was perhaps the one thing the blonde could admit she needed to work on. She was a girl that didn't like to do physical stuff, that was more of a behavioral circumstance, but one that was bad for her for many reasons.
Usagi knew she had the 'power' to wreck her foes, but she lacked the precision and speed needed to avoid attacks. She was, by all definitions, a glass cannon. Just like Ami and Rei. Ami could be justified as she was more of a 'defensive support' kind of fighter, while Rei was a 'defensive frontline' fighter. Makoto was instead a medium-ranged 'heavy hitter'.
Not only was the brunette good at cooking, but she was also geared into what sort of exercises Usagi needed to accomplish. And... she was just as ruthless as Usagi had been worried about.
"Come on, Usagi-chan. You need to burn those carbs you consumed."
Instead of training with her, Makoto was actually coaching her. Wearing green jacket over a black shirt and a pair of jeans that made training currently unavailable for the brunette, Makoto had decided that, instead of 'showing off' to her new friend, she would show her the 'way' by coercing her into various forms of stuff to swell her physical prowess.
First, a intense run around the district, then some breathing exercises to cool off her body, and then a 'resistance challenge' to get her stamina improved too. Makoto had been more than reasonable with the kind of goals Usagi should aspire for: not only she needed mobility, she needed to work on her pace which means she had to get her Stamina bolstered too.
Her means to keep up for a prolonged amount of combat was also something the blonde agreed was problematic, thus she hurled herself into the exercises, 'bleed' and sweated for it (plus whined for mercy from the tenth minute onward) and finally was released from this nightmare of a third day of training so she could get a much needed shower.
She was reeking, her body was tired, and she needed to be comforted by warm soapy bubbles for a while. So, Usagi zig-zagged back home, yawning and glaring around like a grumpy cat and then finally marched for the bathroom once she got back home and greeted her mother by the kitchen.
What she didn't know but caught her off-guard almost instantly, was that her brother had just finished cleaning up and was using a towel to rinse his hair. He was wearing fresh clothes, appeared to be particularly distracted- and didn't notice his big sister ogling at the lean and slightly muscular frame he got as of recently through his white half-sleeved shirt.
Blue eyes were wide open in wonder if this was a sign. After all, she saw those 'rough' bits to be quite tasty to the gaze and... and maybe that made some sense that she could get some on herself too. After all, she found Makoto's muscles to be yummy too so-
That was a new goal to add to her bucket list.
First muscles, then... well, then get to see if she can get some eyes on her. Not necessarily her brother's but... she wasn't going to say no to some ogling from her lil' bro.

Next time, some gaming stuff as Shingo and Mika end up paired for a class project which may... develop into something for Mika as I have really slacked off in regard to her development and I need to pick that one up really fast. I have an idea on how to develop Momoko, but it will take a while for that one as it may involve a xover and... I understand that I first have to 'wrap up' some of those before going for more, kay?
