There is something very unusual about Mizuno Ami.

These were words that Ami herself had heard people say, and, for a time, this was indeed the case in regard to her impressive academic record.

An excellent scholar, and formidable student and... a loner. It would be wrong to say that Ami hated her past self, but ever since she became Sailor Mercury a lot of things changed and she felt like she discovered a new world thanks to it all. Not only she found purpose in doing the right thing and being quite the clever young woman, but she also made a lot of friends that were there to cheer her on whenever she needed it.

And then there was Shingo.

Usagi's little brother, a clever boy himself with his own friends and, for some unexplainable reason, also the source of Ami's many questions about romance and lust.

It felt very wrong to learn she was into the boy since he was a few years younger than her, but she was glad to know it was just him. And it was still bad nonetheless. Ami wanted to feel bad since she felt her brain was hardwired into that sort of business. It was, after all, the first time ever she felt so attracted to someone, and she could tell, painfully so, it was an one-sided situation.

Not the finest, not the prettiest of situations, but it was there. And it made her act up weird around him. He was so tiny that she wanted to hug him tightly, cuddle up with him and do a few more unspeakable things to him. Well with him to be fair.

There was no way she would force herself onto him. Some wet dreams created those scenarios, but she was smart enough to know when a thought was feasible and when it was utterly wrong.

...

Ah yes, there were a few other issues with that. Starting with the least concerning being the other fellow scouts. Rei and Makoto. More Rei and less Makoto. The former was not that subtle in her efforts, sometimes trying to have Shingo around by her shrine to 'help clean around' and then mentioning how 'enpowering' it felt to have him around while having just her fundoshi under her miko outfit.

What an outrageous woman! It didn't help that her grandpa said something about her mother having been older than her father, which left Sailor Mars wondering if this was destiny or not.

In regard to Makoto, the situation was a bit more dubious in nature. Was she trying to get hooked up with Shingo too? Ami couldn't tell, but the brunette sure spent a lot of time at the Tsukino household to use their bathroom after each training sessions with Usagi.

All in all, nothing about this detail may sound weird - Usagi and Makoto were keen to go out for some exercises by the blonde's own request, but there was a detail that Usagi whined a lot about in regard to 'Makoto and her forgeftulness'. She would never close the bathroom door, and thus leaving it open for someone to step inside and find her in the shower.

Usagi had been the only victim of this 'mistake', but Ami was a smart girl and could tell that something else was going on. She didn't need to ask- she could notice the sheepish look that Makoto had those times this was brought up. She was doing it on purpose, and Usagi wasn't the intended target. She doubted Makoto was a homewrecker, so it had to be Shingo.

Once again, Ami's situation was getting precarious - and that's excluding the biggest hurdle: Usagi herself.

There was something oddly romantic of a big sister loving her little brother. But there was also something very possessive involving the way Usagi eyed Shingo.

That being said, Usagi was not a pervert in those interactions. She was, instead, more leaning on a 'romantic' perspective. She loved to praise her brother, remark how he was her 'biggest cheerleader' at times, and even got in a bit of a clash with Minako when she mentioned 'stealing him from her'. Nothing serious, but it highlighted how much caring and loving Usagi was of her brother.

And today wasn't any different as she finished tutoring Usagi and was about to leave for home.

Spending time with Usagi had gotten more easy to manage. She had been quite a klutz as she had prefaced her personality back when they started, but the blonde had the drive and dedication to grow out of that phase. She was still average at times, but she had her moments of peak intelligence whenever she was handling any of her favorite subjects.

But today was not that 'good' day as Usagi had utterly collapsed on her desk, the God of Naps stealing her mind for a few hours as Ami retreated from her room with a tired look herself.

Before she could make it to the door, she paused near the living room as she noticed a pleasant scent coming from there. Curiosity made her check, and she saw Shingo hum happily as he put down a plate with some... cookies. He had an apron on, some gloves and-

"Oh, hi Ami."

She got caught!

"S-Shingo-kun. Did you... make cookies?"

He beamed, "Yup, I tried to cook on my own after being taught by mom and... this is the result. Want some?"

Nodding, Ami approached and stared at the plate. One was enough and it looked like a perfect choco-cookie.

"You know, you're the first person to try them so... I wouldn't mind some criticism."

It sounded like a fair request and she nodded at the boy. Bringing it to her lips, Ami took just a bite. A tiny bite, a tiny polite bite.

And yet...

It felt like her clothes exploded away from her body.

The intense jolt of pleasure that suddenly struck her was enough to make her almost drop the cookie, her eyes wide open while Shingo gave her a worried look at her sudden twitching and spasming.

"...A-Are you alright, Ami-san?"

"N-Never better~," Ami replied quietly, feeling her voice would only release moans if she spoke too loudly. "Good Cookie~. I-I have to go."

"Sure...?"

Ami marched away, the cookie still in her hands as she walked out of the house and... took another bite. She decided against taking a third one as she felt like she needed to change her panties the moment the next jolt hit her body and mind. Definitely ruined the pairs she was wearing, and the walk back home was very awkward to entertain.

Not only was she lusting after a cute and smart boy, but the girl may now feel invested some more due to his insane cooking skills...

AN

Poor Ami is not geared up to get stuff happening and... next time Shingo goes on an adventure with his friends from school. Minasaki is... 'trying to help Lilim and Co. getting somewhere further with Shingo'.

Also, I am doing a bit of a 'slow-down' in this 'Inter-Arc' section so that I can flesh out the Scouts, the other girls, and prepare for Chibi-Usa's arrival, so understand that right now the 'main story' plot will not escalate anytime soon, but there will be some troubles that Moon Knight will have to solve.
