Luke saw the jedi temple come into view as the shuttle descended towards the surface of Coruscant or what was supposed to be the surface. It was strange not to see stormtroopers, star destroyers, and tie fighters here. Luke had never been to this planet before. When the shuttle landed on the hanger deck Luke walked down the ramp. He had never seen so many Jedi before. As he walked through the temple, he saw them training younglings with lightsabers.

Luke took the trials and passed them. Anakin waited in the main hall when Luke approached him. "I am worried about my mother. 'Anakin said. "What planet is she on? "Luke asked. "Tatooine. I was a slave for nine years like her in Mos Espa" Anakin explained. "I am from Tatooine. I lived on a moisture farm on the Dune Sea for 19 years. "Luke replied. Obi-Wan ran up to them. "Anakin we are needed at Palpatine's office. Someone tried to kill Senator Amidala by putting a bomb in her ship. One of her handmaidens was killed. "Obi-Wan said. "Can I come as well? "Luke asked. "Yes, Luke and you can finally meet Chancellor Palpatine. "Obi-Wan said.
Later they stood in Palpatine's office. Luke started shivering. "What's wrong Luke? "Anakin asked. "It's him. "Luke spoke softly. Luke sensed the darkness coming from Palpatine. They stood in the middle of the council chambers. "Anakin you will take the senator back to Naboo. Use nonregistered commercial transport. "Mace Windu said. "Palpatine is a sith lord. I sensed the darkness in him. "Luke said. "He is surrounded by darkness. Anyone in his inner circle could be a sith. "Mace said. "We don't believe it. "Mace said. "How can you say that? They got off the elevator and entered the main lobby of the temple. "Luke I am worried about my mother. "Anakin said as he waited for Obi-Wan. "What is her name? "Luke asked. "Shmi. "Anakin said. "I know that name. There was a grave at the homestead I lived on for 19 years with the name Shmi on it. "Luke replied. "I had visions of her dying. "Anakin said. "Don't act on impulse. Don't act on them. I will go to Tatooine and check on her. You take Padme to Naboo. Okay? "Luke asked. "Okay Luke. "Anakin replied.
Luke boarded a shuttle and took off headed to Tatooine.
