Another Live Interview
After the group leave the Pokemon Center, they exit and start to make their way back to Heahea City.
"So now that you've completed all the island trials here on Akala Island, all you have left is the Grand Trial." said Mallow.
"Which means you'll have to battle Olivia." said Alola Lana.
"Do you think you can beat her, bro?" asked Lynn.
"Not a chance." said Chandler with a smug grin on his face.
"Wasn't asking you, chump!" said Lynn before she tackles Chandler to the ground and puts him in a Camel Clutch.
"I'm gonna try my absolute best." said Lincoln.
"When are you gonna take her on?" asked Shane.
"Maybe next weekend." said Lincoln. "Not sure if we'll get to where the Grand Trial is before it gets too dark, and we have school tomorrow."
"Yeah, you can wait a week." said Mallow.
Just then, Lincoln's Rotom Phone starts to ring; he answers it to see his family that were still in Royal Woods, along with Katherine Mulligan, in the Loud house's living room.
"Hi, everyone." said Lincoln.
"Lincoln! Katherine Mulligan here!" said the news reporter. "I have heard about more Pokemon sent to your house."
"I sent a few." said Lincoln. "Plus, my cousins are here, and they caught some of their own."
"I have just talked to some people here, and they all showed me some of the ones you sent over since our last interview." said Katherine.
"Like my cute little Igglybuff." said Lola as she holds up the pink Pokemon that Lincoln sent a while back.
"And the Archen you sent a few minutes ago." said Lisa as she points Lynn Sr's device at the revived fossil Pokemon.
"And I'm to understand that this particular Pokemon was brought back to life from a fossil?!" asked Katherine.
"Precisely!" said Lisa with excitement. "I never would've imagined that such a process was possible!"
"And I also sent a Tauros to my friend, Liam." said Lincoln.
"You mean the young man whose family is selling that delicious Miltank milk?" asked Katherine.
"Exactly." said Lincoln.
"And I also understand that another citizen of Royal Woods is in the Alola region." said Katherine; causing Chandler to shove Lincoln aside while grabbing his Rotom Phone and points it at himself. The others growl in response to that.
"Yes, Kathy; I'm Chandler McCann, soon to be the best Pokemon trainer in the Alola region." said Chandler.
"I see; so, Chandler, do you have any Pokemon?" asked Katherine.
"Sure do, Kat." replied Chandler. "Here, hold this, Larry."
"LINCOLN!" shouts everyone else. Chandler gives Lincoln his Rotom Phone back and tosses his pokeballs, releasing all his Pokemon.
"Do Katherine's audience a favor and don't show Chandler's face." said Lynn.
"Good idea." said Lincoln.
"So, what are your Pokemon called, Chandler?" asked Katherine.
"This rat-looking one is called Rattata." said Chandler, pointing at Rattata; he then points at Tentacool. "That blue one with the tentacles is a Tentacool." He then points at Arbok. "That snake one is called an Arbok; used to be an Ekans, but she evolved." He then points at Vullaby. "That bird one is a Vullaby." He then points at Jolteon. "That yellow one with the spiky fur is a Jolteon." He then points at Pinsir. "And that one there is a Pinsir."
"Interesting." said Katherine.
"Yeah, I'm having a blast here in Alola; although, I'm sure everyone in Royal Woods misses me." said Chandler. At several homes in Royal Woods, kids can be heard laughing.
"So, Lincoln; what are you up to now?" asked Katherine.
"Well, I passed another island trial, so I can now take on the Akala Island Grand Trial." replied Lincoln after pointing the Rotom Phone back at himself. "I'm gonna wait a week before I do that; got school to focus on."
"Have you gotten other new Pokemon for yourself?" asked Katherine.
"Yeah, some; also, my Torracat evolved." said Lincoln as he tosses his new Incineroar's pokeball, releasing him from it.
"He looks quite strong!" said Katherine.
"He's an Incineroar now." said Lincoln.
"And does your sister, Lynn, have any new Pokemon also?" asked Katherine Mulligan; Lincoln points the Rotom Phone at Lynn.
"You bet." said Lynn. She tosses her Hariyama, Fletchinder, and Remoraid's pokeballs and lets them out. "The bird one is called a Fletchinder, formerly a Fletchling; the big guy is called Hariyama, formerly my Makuhita, and the light blue one is called a Remoraid. I also have a Pokemon that was revived from a fossil called a Kabuto"
"I have one called a Tyrunt." said Lincoln.
"Amazing!" said Katherine. "And do your cousins have Pokemon?"
"They sure do." said Lincoln as he points his Rotom Phone at his cousins who just tossed their pokeballs, releasing the Pokemon within them.
"Alola, Katherine." said Shane. He points at Trumbeak. "This bird Pokemon is called a Trumbeak; used to be a Pikipek until he evolved." He then points at Mareanie. "This one is called a Mareanie." He points at his Jigglypuff. "This is Jigglypuff; used to be an Igglybuff until she evolved."
"So, Igglybuff evolves into that?" asked Lola.
"Yeah, cuz." replied Shane, making Lola squeal; Shane then points at Oranguru. "Anyway, this one is called an Oranguru." He then points at Lileep. "And this is another Pokemon that use to be a fossil; Lileep." Lincoln then points his Rotom Phone at Shelby and her Pokemon.
"Alola." said Shelby; she then points at her Meowth. "This cat-looking one is called a Meowth." She then points at Sudowoodo. "This one that looks like a tree is Sudowoodo; he used to be a Pokemon called Bonsly before he evolved." She points at her Smoochum. "This one is called a Smoochum." She then points at Seel. "The one that looks like a white seal is called a Seel; it's spelled S-E-E-L, not S-E-A-L." She then points at Espon. "This light purple one with the red gem on his forehead is called an Espeon; he used to be an Eevee before he evolved." She then points at Flaaffy. "And this is a Flaffyy; she used to be a Mareep. I also have a Pokemon that was revived from a fossil called a Cranidos" Lincoln then points his Rotom Phone at Shiloh and his Pokemon.
"Alola." said Shiloh; he points at his Rockruff. "This dog one is called a Rockruff; Lincoln's Lycanroc used to be one before he evolved." He then points at Snorlax. "This big one is called a Snorlax; he evolved from Munchlax." He then points at Mantyke who was floating on an ocean. "That one is called a Mantyke." He then points at Tirtouga. "And that one's Tirtouga; he was also revived from a fossil."
"My; you all have a lot of Pokemon." said Katherine.
"And I have something else to show you." said Lincoln as he opens his backpack and pulls out his Pokemon Egg.
"Is that an egg?" asked Katherine with amazement.
"Yeah, a Pokemon Egg to be exact." said Lincoln.
"What kind of Pokemon come from eggs?" asked Katherine.
"All of them." said Lincoln.
"Really?!" asked Katherine.
"So, I've been told." said Lincoln. Just then, his Pokemon Egg starts to shake while pulsing with light.
"What's wrong with your Pokemon egg, Lincoln?" asked Katherine.
"I don't know." said Lincoln.
"It's hatching!" said Sophocles, surprising Lincoln and Lynn.
"Really?!" Lincoln replied.
"Awesome!" said Shiloh. Everyone watches as Lincoln's egg starts to glow very brightly, making everyone shield their eyes; when the light fades, everyone uncovers their eyes to see, in Lincoln's arms, a blue, bipedal, canine Pokemon with black legs and long ears, and long, white bumps on its forearms.
"Fascinating!" said Lisa. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at his newly hatched Pokemon.
"Riolu, the Emanation Pokemon. It knows how people and Pokémon feel by looking at their auras. It doesn't approach dangerous opponents." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone.
"Ladies and gentlemen; we just witnessed a new Pokemon being born!" said Katherine. Lincoln looks up his Riolu's information.
"It says my Riolu's a boy, he's a fighting type Pokemon, he knows Foresight, Quick Attack, and Endure; he has the Steadfast ability which increases his speed every time he flinches during battle." said Lincoln; he kneels towards Riolu.
"Hi, Riolu; I'm Lincoln." Lincoln says to Riolu. "I hope you and I can become friends." Riolu continues to look at Lincoln before smiling and nods; Lincoln smiles before taking an empty pokeball out of his backpack and taps Riolu with it; he gets sucked into the pokeball and it wiggles around until it clicked.
"Well, this interview is becoming very interesting." said Katherine.
"And Shane just sent the footage of the trial that Lincoln just passed." said Lana.
"I'm certain that my audience would be interested in seeing it." said Katherine. Lana hooks up her device and plays the footage of Lincoln's Lush Jungle Trial on it; Lincoln and Mallow blush when it shows the part when the two were about to kiss until the Lurantis stops them.
"Darn that Pokemon!" said Lori.
"Anyway, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with me, Lincoln." said Katherine.
"You're welcome." said Lincoln. They end the call, and the group continues to make their way to Heahea City.
"So, what are you gonna do with your new Riolu?" asked Kiawe.
"He's still young, so I'll train him on Route 1 where the Pokemon there aren't so tough." said Lincoln. "Once he becomes stronger, I'll move him on to tougher areas."
