Battle with Ursaluna

As the Loud siblings headed back towards the Solaceon Ruins, Lincoln kept noticing that his sisters that were there with him were looking at him with big smiles on their faces.

"Look, I know that Clover and Irida were both fighting over me; but can we please just focus on getting the wall piece that Leni, Luna, Luan, and Lynn got back from the Miss Fortune Bandits to where it belongs?" asked Lincoln.

"Don't be so embarrassed, little bro." said Luna.

"We think it's great that you have girls who love you." said Leni.

"I think that's obvious." said Lincoln.

"Let's just keep going." said Luna before smiling at Lincoln again, making him groan in exasperation.

"What happened to your face, Luan?" Lincoln asked his older sister when he sees dirt on her face, and some mild bruising on her forehead.

"Clover did this to me." said Luan as she rubbed her bruise.

"Why would she do that?" asked Lincoln.

"We told her about that dream you had about her." said Lynn with a smirk on her face.

"What?!" asked Lincoln with a blush on his face.

"Yeah, and Clover attacked Luan when she found out that Luan woke you up before you kissed in the dream." said Luna.

"What else does she know about the dream?" asked Lincoln.

"That you were married and with a daughter." said Lynn with a grin.

"Lynn brought the paintings of that dream and showed her." said Luan.

"WHAT?!" asked Lincoln.

"Relax, bro; I'll give 'em back." said Lynn; as she reaches behind her and felt around on her back for the paintings, she couldn't find them. "Huh; I thought I had them."

"Maybe you left them where we battled the Miss Fortune Sisters." said Leni.

"Wonder if Clover found them after her sisters dragged her away." said Luan.

Meanwhile, back at the Miss Fortune Sisters' campsite, Clover got done washing herself in the river and was sitting around their relit campfire; as she looks around, she and the other two spot the painting cases that Lynn left there.

"It's that Lincoln boy's paintings." said Coin. Clover quickly runs over to them, picks them up off the ground, takes out the painting of herself and Lincoln as adults, along with their daughter in Lincoln's dream, Chiosa; and stares at it.

'Oh, I hope Lincoln's dream comes true.' Clover thinks to herself.

Meanwhile, the Loud siblings reach the Solaceon Ruins where they see Warden Calaba staring at the part of the wall the fragment was taken from.

"Hey, Warden!" Lynn calls out to Calaba.

"Oh, it's you kids; come to bother me again?" asked Warden Calaba.

"No, we got that piece of wall that was stolen right here." said Luna as she holds out the fragment, making Warden Calaba quickly turn around.

"You went and got the fragment back from the bandits?!" asked Warden Calaba with surprise.

"Yeah, it was no problem at all." said Lynn with a grin. Luna hands the wall fragment over to Warden Calaba.

"Why would you risk yourselves for a complete stranger like me?" asked Warden Calaba.

"It was the right thing to do." said Lincoln, getting Warden Calaba's attention who notices his Pokemon standing behind him.

"Do those Pokemon belong to you?" asked Warden Calaba.

"They're not possessions!" said Lincoln, surprising Warden Calaba. "They're my friends!"

"You must be Lincoln then." said Warden Calaba. "Irida is always going on and on about a handsome young Survey Corps member who keeps his Pokemon out of his pokeballs." Lincoln blushes while his sisters giggle.

"I'd probably put my friends into them if I had no other choice." said Lincoln.

"I see." said Warden Calaba.

"Anyway, we really want to calm Ursaluna before she ends up hurting others; people or Pokemon." said Lincoln.

"I'll admit that I never expected anyone else to truly care for Ursaluna." said Warden Calaba.

"We just really like Pokemon." said Lincoln. Warden Cabala turns to the wall that the fragment was taken from and puts it back in place.

"There we go. Good as new." said Warden Calaba.

"What are those symbols?" asked Lisa.

"Ancient text." said Warden Calaba.

"What does it say?" asked Lana.

"Allow me to read it to you." said Warden Calaba. "All lives touch other lives to create something new and alive."

"What does that mean?" asked Leni.

"I suppose it means people helping each other, like how you helped the fragment." said Warden Calaba. "I've read this passage many, many times. But this is the first time I've truly understood what it means. Maybe this is almighty Sinnoh's guidance?"

"Maybe." said Lincoln.

"Please, lend me your strength, Survey Corps, so that we may help Ursaluna." said Warden Calaba. "It's true that Ursaluna has become enraged, but he doesn't seem to be in an utter frenzy. I believe he will return to his normal state if we can just give him some medicine."

"We'll do what we can." said Lincoln.

"I could never bring myself to engage in battle." said Warden Calaba.

"We can do that." said Lynn.

"Thank you, children." said Warden Calaba. "Ursaluna prefers to stay on Sludge Mound."

"Sludge?" Lana replied with interest in her voice for reasons she didn't know.

"Yes; meet me there when you're ready." said Warden Calaba.

"Okay." said Luan.

The Loud siblings exit the temple and look at the map they have of the Crimson Mirelands to see where they have to go next.

"Looks like Sludge Mound wasn't that far from where Clover and Irida were fighting over Lincoln." said Lana, making her and the other Loud sisters smile at Lincoln while he blushes.

"Let's just go over and help out Ursaluna." said Lincoln.

The Loud siblings continue on towards their destination until they reached the spot where they were when Clover and Irida fought.

"Brings back memories; doesn't it, Lincoln?" Luan asked her brother with a grin, making Lincoln sigh with exasperation.

"Yeah, but not the ones we lost when we first arrived here in Hisui." said Lincoln.

"But at least we remember our parents now." said Luna.

"Hope we remember more during our trip here." said Lana.

Some movement from one of the mud ponds gets their attention; making them look to see a small, mostly tan, hippolike Pokemon with dark brown patches.

"I believe that is a male Hippopotas." said Lisa.

"You mean the Pokemon Anthe wants us to catch?" asked Leni.

"Yeah." replied Luan.

"I am totes going to catch this one." said Leni.

"Hippopotases are ground type, Leni; so, your Dewott or Budew should have the advantage." said Lisa. Leni nods before pulling out a pokeball.

"Budew, go!" said Leni, tossing Budew's pokeball and releasing her; Hippopotas notices her and faces her; he charges at Budew and rams her, knocking her back. "Budew, like, use Absorb!" Budew fires a red beam of energy from the top of her and it hits Hippopotas, draining most of his energy and healing Budew's wounds. Hippopotas runs at Budew and bites her.

"Budew, Absorb again!" said Leni. Budew fires another red beam of energy at Hippopotas and hits it, draining his remaining energy and he passes out.

"It's weak enough, Leni." said Lincoln. Leni nods before pulling out an empty pokeball and throwing it at Hippopotoas, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around until a firework shoots up.

"You did it, Leni!" said Lynn.

"Yay!" cheered Leni before running to Hippopotas' pokeball and picking it up.

"The Hippopotases here should know Tackle, Rest, Bite, and Mud Bomb." said Lisa.

"Now all you need a female Hippopotas." said Luan.

"What are they like?" asked Leni.

"Mostly dark brown with tan patches on them." said Lisa. Suddenly, a large glob of mud comes at the group, but they jumped out of the way, dodging it; they look at what appeared to be a Hippopotas, but different from the Hippopotas, Leni caught.

"Is that a female Hippopotas?" asked Lincoln.

"I believe so." replied Lisa; the Hippopotas glared at the group.

"What's her problem?" asked Lynn.

"Maybe the Hippopotas, Leni captured was a friend of hers." said Lisa.

"Or a girlfriend like what Clover or Irida will be to Lincoln someday." suggested Luan with a grin, making Lincoln blush and the other sisters giggle. Leni pulls out another pokeball.

"If that's true, then I don't want to seperate two Pokemon in love." said Leni. "Dewott, go!" She tosses Dewott's pokeball and releases her. "Dewott, Aqua Jet!" Water surrounds Dewott's body and she flies at Hippopotas, ramming her, and dealing super effective damage. The Hippopotas runs at Dewott and bites her, damaging her.

"Dewott, Water Pulse!" said Leni. Dewott forms a ball of blue water between her hands and launches it at Hippopotas, hitting her, and dealing super effective damage; she collapses.

"It's weak enough, Leni." said Lincoln. Leni throws an empty pokeball at Hippopotas, hitting her, and sucking her in; after it wiggled around, a firework shoots up.

"Way to go, Leni." said Lynn. Leni picks up the female Hippopotas' pokeball.

"Now I can complete Anthe's request." said Leni.

After that, the Loud siblings kept going until they reach a large platform made of hardened sludge where they are surprised to see Warden Calaba already there.

"Hello, Loud siblings." said Calaba.

"How did you get here before us?" asked Lynn with shock in her voice.

"I may be getting on in years, but I can still move as well as I did in my youth." said Warden Calaba.

"Anyway, where's this Ursaluna?" asked Lincoln. Warden Calaba reaches into the basket on her back and pulls out a Celestica Flute.

"So, you got one also?" asked Luna.

"Yes, and Ursaluna never fails to appear whenever I play it." said Warden Calaba. She turns around and plays a tune on the flute. The ground suddenly starts to shake and a large bearlike Pokemon with dark brown fur, along with a dark gray fur pelt on its back, paws, and round tail; on its head was a yellow circle that looked like a moon that had two cloudlike designs in front of it.

"Whoa!" said Lana.

"Fascinating." said Lisa.

"And it looks strong!" said Lynn.

"That is Ursaluna." said Warden Calaba. "Now show your mettle to him!"

"Who has 'mettle'?" asked Leni.

"She wants us to battle it, Leni." said Luan.

"Oh." said Leni.

"Who wants to do it?" asked Lincoln.

"Let me do it." said Lynn as she strolls past everyone. "My Machop would like to do some sparring." She takes out her Machop's pokeball and tosses it, letting him out.

"Be careful." said Warden Calaba.

"According to Professor Laventon's notes; Ursaluna is part normal and part ground types." said Lisa.

"Gotcha." said Lynn. "Machop, use Focus Energy!" Her Machop starts gathering his strength.

The Ursaluna runs at Machop and slashes him across his chest, knocking him back.

"Machop, use Rock Smash!" said Lynn. Machop runs at the Ursaluna and slams both of his fists onto its head, doing super effective damage; Ursaluna's body starts to sag.

"What's wrong with it?" asked Luan.

"Rock Smash has a chance of lowering the defense of the Pokemon it hits." said Lisa.

The Ursaluna charges at Machop and rams him, knocking him to the ground.

"Machop, don't take that! Use Rock Smash again!" said Lynn, making Machop slam his fists onto Ursaluna's head, dealing more super effective damage than before. Ursaluna leaps at Machop and starts clobbering him before sending him flying to a stop at Lynn's feet, unconscious.

"I warned you to be careful, young lady." said Warden Calaba. Lynn groans before she picks up Machop and sets him down near her siblings.

"Could you give Machop a Revive, Lana?" asked Lynn.

"No problem." said Lana as she takes a Revive from her satchel and uses it to wake Machop up. Lynn looks back at Ursaluna with a look of determination.

"You're not gonna get away with that you overgrown cub." growled Lynn. She takes out her Dartrix's pokeball and lets him out.

"Grass types should have an advantage against ground types." said Lisa.

"Dartrix, use Magical Leaf!" said Lynn. Dartrix unleashes a barrage of glowing green leaves that hit Ursaluna, dealing super effective damage; it responds by slashing him with his claws.

"Don't give up, Lynn!" said Lincoln.

"Dartrix, use Aerial Ace!" said Lynn. Dartrix flies in a loop and towards Ursaluna, slamming into its head, knocking him back to his back, unconscious.

"You did it, Lynn!" said Leni. The Ursaluna slowly gets back to his feet and starts walking slowly towards the Loud siblings and Calaba.

"Ursaluna, my poor darling." said Warden Calaba. "You must be exhausted from running around like that."

"What do you think's wrong with him?" asked Lincoln.

"I don't know." said Warden Calaba as she pulls out a small pouch.

"What's that?" asked Lana.

"A special medicine made by the Pearl Clan." said Warden Calaba. "It'll clear out any poison in a Pokemon's body. If poison's what's causing Ursaluna's rage, this is sure to calm him down. We call it... Toxi-Gone!"

"A unique name." said Lisa.

Warden Calaba then walks over to the Ursaluna and feeds him the contents of the pouch, to get a reaction that made it seem like he didn't like the taste of it.

"It's so potent that we can only use it on tough, resilient Pokemon, like Ursaluna." said Warden Calaba.

"You mean Pokemon who can handle the taste?" asked Luna.

"That too." said Warden Calaba. The group looks at the Ursaluna to see that he did appear to calm down.

"Looks like it did the trick." said Lana.

"It's very strange, though." said Warden Calaba.

"It wasn't glowing like Lord Kleavor did back at Grandtree Arena." said Lincoln.

"Indeed." said Warden Calaba. "When you all calmed the frenzied Lord Kleavor, I saw a strange light rising up to the sky all the way from here."

"Perhaps what caused Ursaluna to be enraged wasn't the same reason for Lord Kleavor's fury." suggested Lisa.

"Perhaps." said Warden Calaba. "No light emerged from Ursaluna after your sister defeated him."

"But at least Ursaluna's all better now." said Lincoln.

"Yes." said Warden Calaba. She then notices a strange powder on Ursaluna's body and pinches some of it off.

"What's that stuff?" asked Lynn.

"It seems like some kind of powder." replied Calaba. "That girl from the Diamond Clan, Arezu; now, why did she of all people find the need to come and tell me about Ursaluna, I wonder?"

"Beats me." replied Lynn.

"Oh, but I forgot something important." said Calaba. "Play the Celestica Flute for me, won't you?"

"You got it." said Luna; she takes out the Celestica Flute and began playing it; after she did, Ursaluna lets out a gentle roar. It then gives Luna a light brown tablet.

"It's another..." Lincoln started to say before he and his sisters felt intense pain going through their heads, bringing them to their knees.

"What's wrong?!" asked Calaba.

"This happened when we got the tablets from Lords Wyrdeer and Kleavor." said Lincoln. "We're getting some of our lost memories back." After a while, the pain subsides and the siblings stand back up.

"What do you all remember?" asked Luna.

"I... I remember some sort of building." said Lincoln.

"Me, too." said Leni.

"I think it's our home." said Luna.

"Yeah, I remember it now, also." said Lana.

"I really hope we find more tablets." said Luan.

"Me, too." said Leni.

"We will." said Lincoln.

The Louds have calmed Ursaluna and have recovered more of their memories. Will they recover the rest of them? Wait and find out.
