Summary:Ever wondered how Captain Hayvna Vevva lost her left arm? Well, this is the story of the last stand of the USS Star Chaser, an exploration-type ship that was returning home after a long 6-month journey before being attacked by 3 Klingon Warbirds.
Young Ensign Hayvna Vevva is excited to get back to Earth to tell her best friend T'lirri and even her own mentor all about what she'd been up to on the ship. Unfortunately, the Crew of the USS Star Chaser runs into trouble and the thoughts of going home start to vanish. A desperate call for help is answered by the infamous USS Enterprise, but will the Federation's Flagship make it in time to save the USS Star Chaser Crew? Will Hayvna ever see her best friend again or will she die among the stars before she ever sees home?

My only spin on this is that in this AU World, Admiral Pike did not die in INTO DARKNESS. That's the only thing different.
