Chapter 4:
A month had passed since Peter ended of on Remnant and things were going as well as he can hope for. The lien head gained over the month was enough to get him some food, more film, and a place to rent for the time being, any extra lien he had he was saving for a new camera that he might be able to buy soon. Meanwhile when during his time as his alter ego, he would do what he has always done and be the neighborhood's friendly hero. While he never expected or ask for any praise, to his surprise, he was more appreciated here than he was back home. At the moment, Peter was watching T.V at in an apartment he had rented. While it wasn't the best place to live, it was the cheapest place he could afford at the moment. On the T.V, VNN had been presenting the latest news on the Web-head. Normally he expected for the news to be suspicious of the vigilante and brand him a menace, mostly due to due how much JJJ had slandered his name, but to his surprise, VNN and a majority of the people of Vale praised and thanked the web-head for the heroics he had done.
"I still can't believe that people don't see me as a menace here, I thought I would have been branded as a criminal by now. " Peter states.
"Give it time, these people will eventually root for your downfall eventually, it's just in human nature." Venom says, with it's head formed out from Peter's back, while consuming a box of chocolate, box and all.
"I hope not, then again after doing research on this planets history, you just might be right. Prejudice is a thing that exists everywhere unfortunately." Peter sadly agrees.
During his time reading all about the planet of Remnant and it's inhabitants, he had been disgusted this world's version of humanity and how badly they treated the Faunus. He wish he could say that he understood their pain, but in reality he couldn't. Back home, he was mostly branded as a menace for taking the law into his own hands and for wearing a mask so he didn't have to answer to any authority, not for what he was. The Faunus on the other hand were treated with prejudice and malice just because they had animal characteristics. Peter just hopes that life gets better for the Faunus eventually, wishing he could do something about it.
"So what is your plan for today Parker, I doubt you're going to spend it all cooped up in here" Venom asks.
"To be honest, I don't know. Maybe I could go to an arcade, or back to the library, or maybe eat out somewhere for lunch?" Peter responds.
"I would recommend that you eat, you haven't gotten enough sustenance lately, maybe eat a whole pizza to fuel yourself." Venom suggests.
"Eh, why not, a pizza should get me going for a few days at least. What about you, was the chocolate enough to satisfy you?" Peter replies.
"It has for now, but we will need more eventually." Venom replies.
"Ok then, time for me to eat I guess." Peter says while standing up and heading outside as the symbiote retracts back into his body.
" Think the pizza will be just as good as back home?" Peter wonders.
" I'll let you be the judge of that, just go eat so we can go on patrol later tonight." Venom responds.
"Technically I'm the one going on patrol, all you do is criticize everything I do." Peter mocks.
"That's because it's the only thing we can do so we don't get bored. We can't do anything else at the moment because you don't want us to draw attention to ourselves." Venom retorts.
"Ok jeez, calm down, I guess you can go in suit form later tonight, people could think you're a stealth suit. Does that sound good enough to you?" Peter asks
"It's better than nothing, but what about the photos? I doubt you can sell photos of us in that form, or any form for the matter." Venom states.
" We can just sell photos of us in action during the afternoon, switch into the black suit, and do what we do best. That way I meet my quota and you get to have some form of action. The only thing I'm worried about is the webs, how do we not risk leaving any evidence of you behind?" Peter wonders.
"Fortunately for you, we can just retract those web lines so we don't leave anything behind, but we would recommend having your original web shooters on hand if we have to tie people up at night." Venom suggests.
"Sounds like a plan, but first pizza. I wonder if I should get a regular or an extra large. Meh I'll just get regular to save money." Peter says as he arrives at a pizza joint.
"Heh heh, just don't let the way you eat it ruin other people's appetite." Venom mocks.
"Oh ha ha, just let me eat in peace for once." Peter replies.
"Nope." Venom answers bluntly.
Peter just eternally sighs, as he enters the pizza joint, ordering a pizza to eat for lunch. Hopefully his and the symbiote's plan doesn't have any hiccups on the way later tonight.

Later in the evening in another part of Vale, the heiress of the SDC Weiss Schnee had just finished her performance in front of a large crowd of people, who were clapping and cheering. Weiss had hoped that her sister would have been there to see her perform, but to her disappointment she wasn't here. Weiss assumed that she must be busy on a mission for the general. As she walks into the backstage, she is greeted by a man in a fancy suit and a red bowler cap.
"Hello Miss Schnee, are you ready to head back towards the hotel?" the man asks.
"Yes but first, who are you? You're not the same driver as the one from before." Weiss asks.
"You are correct, the previous driver had to leave for personal matters, I was sent here to pick you up for him " the man answers.
"Alright then lead the way." Weiss responds.
As she was being led towards the limousine, she thinks about how she would spend her time at Vale and prepare for Beacon Academy. She heard rumors of the academy having a system where students will be placed in teams so her plan was to team up with the most intelligent and most skilled individuals so she can climb the ranks and be one of the most successful students to ever attend Beacon. Weiss did her research and found out the Champion of Mistral, Pyrrha Nikos, would be attending Beacon as well. If she can get her on her team, then success is surely guaranteed.
Once she enters the limousine, the driver begins to exit the parking lot and make their way towards the hotel. A few moments later, they arrive at their destination, but to Weiss's confusion, they driver past it.
"Excuse me, but we just past the hotel, we are we going?" Weiss demands.
"Sorry Schnee, let me just say, sweet dreams." The driver says, as he takes off his hat revealing a pair of bear ears under it.
Before Weiss could say anything else, the back of the limousine is filled with gas, knocking her unconscious and scared for her own life.
An hour later, Weiss wakes up, chained to a pillar in the middle of the building she is in.
"W-where am I?!" Weiss yells in confusion.
"In the SDC building." A voice responds from the corner of the room.
When Weiss looks to her left, she sees the same man from before, now wearing white armor with a red claw and wolf logo on it, along with a Grimm mask on his face, with a couple other faunus wearing similar looking armor.
"You! You're with the white fang! What do you want with me!?" Weiss shouts.
"Isn't it obvious? Revenge. Revenge for not just your family, but against every human who has treated us like animals for years." The white fang goon rants.
"Revenge?! But I haven't done anything to you or your people!" Weiss retorts.
"That doesn't matter, all you Schnee's are the same, light it up." The White Fang goon orders, speaking into a transceiver.
A few moments later, the whole building is beginning to burst into flames, endangering the lives of many innocent people inside. Weiss could only watch as the fire spreads all around the room, and starts coughing as the room is filled with smoke.
"Hope you enjoy the house warming gift, now then I hope you burn along with the rest of these humans here." The goon states as him and his fellow White Fang members leave.
"You won't get away with this! Somebody help!" Weiss shouts in fear, wondering who could save her from this disaster.
/
Meanwhile a couple blocks away, Spider-Man, after getting a couple photos of himself in action and dropping off said photos at VNN, was now in the black suit that he promised the symbiote he would be in for the night.
"See, told you our plan for the day would work. Now you can get some form action tonight." Spider-man states.
" Finally, we were getting tired of looking at all of your memories for entertainment for one month straight. At least this is better than nothing." Venom responds.
" Yeah now you ca- wait what do you mean looking at "all of my memories" for entertainment? What memories did you look at?" Spider-Man asks, a bit nervous at what the symbiote could be implying.
"Just some of the most embarrassing moments of your life, they're quite entertaining, maybe one day I could show any future friends you may get if the opportunity ever arises." Venom chuckles.
"Hey, don't you dare think about ever doing that! Besides even if I do make new friends I doubt I could tell them the truth about what I am and what I'm stuck with." Spider-Man sadly replies.
"You may have a point, but who knows. If you're lucky, you might actually find some actual real friends, and not people that just ask things from you and never give back." Venom remarks.
"And what do you know about making friends? When was the last time YOU had a friend? And Eddie doesn't count by the way." Spider-Man asks.
"Enough to know that both parties should benefit and not just one, something like having an ally. And we don't remember when we last had a companion, I spent thousands apon thousands of years on a meteorite until I crashed on that human shuttle." Venom answers.
" Yeah, I forgot that's how you ended up on Earth. Come to think of it, what was space like? You know, since you were up there for that long." Spider-man asks.
Before the symbiote could answer, Spider-Man's spider-sense goes off, alerting him towards a building in the distance that has just got set on fire. With people screaming for help running out the building.
" Put a pin on that, something just happened." Spider-Man says as he begins to swing towards the building.
"Parker, I should warn you, we aren't exactly good with fire, specifically the heat, it destabilizes us. And before you can even think about saying everything is weak to fire don't deny it, it is extremely much more effective on us " Venom warns.
"You caught me, I was going to say that, but thanks for the heads, don't want to be reckless and get ourselves hurt." Spider-Man replies, now with the knowledge of another symbiote weakness. Even though he knows that fire is effective on pretty much everything so it should have been an obvious thing to know.
As Spider-Man was swinging closer towards the building, he notices White Fang goons enter white vans, and leaving the area. "They must have started the fire, crapbaskets I don't have time to chase them if I want to save these people." Spider-man thinks.
Spider-Man then sneaks inside the building, making sure he isn't caught on film in the black suit. As he enters the burning building, Spider-Man can hear the multiple cries of trapped civilians in the building. Spider-man runs towards the screams as quickly as he can, while trying to avoid getting burned in the process. After a couple of moments, he arrives in a room with a few civilians chained to the wall. Just then, the civilians notice the web-head in his black suit and began screaming, "What is that?! It's a grimm! Somebody help us!" panicking even more.
"Wait I'm not a grimm, it's just me you're friendly neighborhood Spider-man, I'm just wearing a different suit for today!" Spider-Man reassures the civilians.
"We swear if we find a way to annihilate those creatures permanently we're taking it." Venom promised.
Spider-Man just ignores the symbiote's rant while breaking off the chains and escorting the civilians out of the building.
"This way everyone, please make a single file line as we get out of the burning building." Spider-Man quips as he gets everyone to safety.
"Thank you so much you're a life saver!" one of the civilians say as they run out, with others thanking him as well.
Spider-Man repeats this process with multiple groups of civilians that were trapped inside until everyone gets to safety. As the last one gets out, he hears a faint cry of help coming from above.
" Guess there's still someone inside, better hurry then." Spider-man thinks.
" Please do, the heat is getting to be too much for us." Venom pleads.
Spider-Man climbs up from an elevator shaft all the way up to the top floor. As he climbs up, he dodges a couple of falling debris hurtle towards him. In a spit second, Spider-Man dodges out of the way of the falling debris, almost getting burned in the process.
"Man, almost become a barbecued spider, all that would be missing is some BBQ sauce." Spider-man quips.
"Can you focus! We would rather not get burned alive in here." Venom shouts.
"Hey, trying to cope here. Anyways, I can't pinpoint which floor this person is, let me see if they can tell more to get out attention." Spider-man thinks.
"Hey if anyone is up there let's play a quick game of marko polo! Marko!" Spider-Man shouts.
"You think this is a game! Who is there just get me out of here!" a young female voice shouts in frustration.
"Ok I think I know where she is now." Spider-Man points out.
"You are an idiot."
A few moments later, Spider-Man finds the floor the mystery girl was trapped in. Once he enters, he sees a girl with white hair, light blue eyes with a scar over the left one, wearing a white dress.
The girl notices Spider-Man, and screams " Ah! What are you!" but before she could continue screaming Spider-man says "Yeah, yeah I get it I look like a grimm, it's just a costume change, all be it just for the day."
The girl then just stares at him, still a bit suspicious, and asks "Who are you then? Are with the White Fang!" she yells out.
"No I'm not." Spiderman responds with a deadpanned expression. He then walks up to the girl, startling her a little, and breaks off the chains holding her down. "I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-man." The web-head says after breaking the chains.
"Now then hold on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!" Spider-man quips.
But before the girl could say anything, Spider-man puts an arm around her waist grabbing her, which surprised her and getting a slight blush on her face, and then jumping down the elevator shaft. The girl in white screams as Spider-Man dives down to the lower floors, then shooting a web line, slowing their decent, until they stop on the first floor.
"Hope you enjoyed your ride on air Spidey, now ple-"
"ARE YOU CRAZY! YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN US KILLED!" the girl yells right in Spider-Man face.
"LOUD, VIBRATIONS HURT!" Venom screeches internally, but does it's best to stay stable, managing to do so as to not raise suspicion.
"Ow, ow! Sorry just seemed like a quick way outta here." Spider-Man responds, with one hand on the side of his head.
"Well think before you act! I'm getting out of here." The girl scolds, running towards the exit.
As she is running, Spider-Man's spider-sense goes off, alerting him towards the ceiling above the girl. With his eyes widening he shouts "Look out above you!"
The girl just stops and looks up and stares in shock as the ceiling above her collapses and falls towards her. Thinking this could be it, she closes her eyes waiting for the inevitable, but it never came. Slightly confused she opens her eyes, to see Spider-Man holding up the scorching pieces of the ceiling preventing it from crushing her. The girl just stares at him in disbelief, surprised that he would be willing to sacrifice his own well being for someone like her.
"Scorching hot! Hurry it up Parker, I can't stay in this form for long!" Venom screeches.
" Ok I got it."
"Hey Ice queen, I can't hold this up for long, I suggest you run now!" Spider-man yells.
After getting her attention, the girl gets up and starts to run, but not before saying "Thank you." And gets out of the burning building.
Once she is out, Spider-Man tosses the debris in front of him blocking the way out. He then proceeds to get out through a window leading him to the side of the building.
" Phew, that was close, now to get somewhere discrete so you can retract back in." Spider-man tells the symbiote.
" About damn time."
/
Weiss had just ran out of the burning SDC building, thankful that she made it out alive. Just as she is taking a moment to catch her breath, a couple of police officers that were helping out some of the civilians came rushing towards her.
"Miss Schnee are you all right?" One of the officers ask the exhausted heiress.
"I'm alright, just taking a moment to breathe." She responds.
"Do you know what happened?" the other officer asks.
"Some White Fang goons kidnapped me and trapped me in the building as they set it on fire, I thought I wouldn't make it out." Weiss responds, as a fire fighter come by giving her some needed medical attention, as others put out the fire.
"Was Spider-Man there, others say he cam by getting everyone out." The first officer asks.
"Yes, although he was wearing a black suit than the red and blue suit the news has shown in the photos." Weiss answers, still both curious and slightly startled on why he was in a different suit that made him look like a grimm.
"That is the same description the others gave, alright thank you for the information, have a good evening Miss Schnee." The officer says.
Weiss just nods as both officers leave to handle the situation before them. As Weiss waits for a ride back to the hotel, she looks into the distance and notices Spider-man swinging away. She slightly smiles thankful for her rescue that night, despite how annoying he sounded with the small amount of jokes she heard from him.
/
Spider-Man was swinging as far as he could until he landed on a rooftop away from prying eyes, as he lands, he falls to one knee as the symbiote retracts, both exhausted from the heat of the fire.
As they both take time to recover a bit Spider-Man then says, "Heh, so how did you enjoy the action you wanted to have for some time now."
"We did not enjoy that time there, the fire was excruciating and the girls voice was extremely loud. We believe we are going to stick to watching and laughing at your embarrassing memories for now." Venom responds.
"Yeah I still don't approve of that, but I think it's for the best you remain in there, people thought we were some type of grimm." Spider-Man states.
" We find that extremely offensive, I will find a way to eradicate those knock offs and show everyone who they should fear more." Venom retorts.
"I don't approve of the latter, but I can agree with the knock off part of your statement. Let's just go home, man I'm exhausted." Spider-man says.
"Yes let's, you owe us more chocolate for putting us through that." Venom demands.
"I'll do that first thing tomorrow, for now rest." Spider-man responds, with the symbiote silently agreeing.
As Spider-man swings away, he doesn't notice a camera on the other side of the building, secretly recording what seemed to be a one sided communication.
/
Meanwhile at Beacon Academy, Ozpin was watching the footage one of his cameras had caught of Spider-Man conversing with someone after his black suit retracted, just like it first did from the first footage a month ago. Just then, he gets a call on his scroll, checking to see who it is he sees that it is Glynda calling him.
Ozpin answers the call and says "Hello Glynda, I assume this call is about Spider-Man's appearance tonight?"
"Yes Ozpin, just now some civilians, along with Jacque's daughter Weiss Schnee, were rescued by the strange vigilante from the burning SDC building." Glynda replies.
"And I'm guessing you're calling with some new information on the young vigilante." Ozpin asks.
"Yes, everyone that was rescued recall Spider-Man wearing a pure black suit with a with a white spider emblem reaching all the way to his back, and white lens on his masks. Some say they thought he was a type of grimm when they first spotted him." Glynda informs Ozpin on the news.
"Hmm, well I guess you should see what one of the cameras I have planted around Vale just picked up a few moments ago." Ozpin says as he sends the recording to her scroll so she can watch.
Glynda watches the footage Ozpin sent her, listening closely to the web-head seemingly speaking to someone. She gets a bit paranoid when Spider-Man mentions doing something tomorrow, what that action is up to her own interpretation.
A few moments later after she finished watching the footage, Glynda asks "What do you believe he is going to do tomorrow? Should we be worried?" a bit paranoid.
"I'm not sure, the best thing we can do is keep an eye out tomorrow, and wait to see what he does, whatever he chooses to do seems to be for whoever he was talking too." Ozpin answers.
"Do you think he is speaking to her, it could relate to that strange black suit of his." Glynda suggests.
"Possibly, but there doesn't seem to be enough evidence of it being her. And his actions of heroism doesn't add up if they are working together, if anything he has been making the citizens of Vale feel safe, humans and faunus alike." Ozpin replies.
"So what do you suggest we do now?" Glynda asks
"I suggest you keep an eye out tomorrow to see what he does tomorrow, if you can apprehend him I suggest you do so carefully." Ozpin instructs.
"Understood." Glynda responds.
/
The very next day, Glynda was carefully watching her surroundings in the city, looking for any signs of the arachnid hero. She was on high alert, paranoid on what Spider-Man was planning today.
Glynda spent the next few hours searching the city and looking and asking anyone if they have spotted the web-head anywhere in the city, but unfortunately no one has seen him since yesterday. Glynda would continue looking for Spider-Man the entire day, finding no sign of him.
After a couple more hors, she decided to quit searching and calls Ozpin to inform him of her failure.
"Hello Glynda have you found out anything?" Ozpin asks after he answered her call.
"Unfortunately not, there has been no sign of him today, either he decided to not do anything, or he could have known we watching him and decided to trick us with a wild goose chase." Glynda answers.
"Hmm, I don't think he could have realized we were watching him, he seemed to be in too much of an exhausted state after saving those people from the SDC building to notice the camera recording him." Ozpin deduced.
"Well one thing is certain, if he did do something today, we can only hope no one got hurt." Glynda responds.
"I can only imagine what he had planned today, hopefully nothing that could cause a panic." Ozpin states, wondering what exactly the vigilante said he would do.
/
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the staff of Beacon Academy, the hidden vigilante had actually taken the day off. Peter was just inside his apartment eating an entire pizza, with the symbiote eating two boxes of chocolate, box and all for some odd reason. They had actually spent the entire day watching the news and finding out more info on the White Fang they could learn. And when they finished learning all they could, Peter decided to just find some form of entertainment on the T.V while the symbiote had retracted back in it's human host, digesting the chocolate it had consumed.
After a few moments Peter than says "Hey Symbie, do you feel like something interesting was supposed to happened today?"
"Don't know don't care, all we care about is a day off, we deserve if after all we've done." Venom responds.
"Ok then, I guess it's just me then. So what should we do tomorrow then?" Peter asks.
"Knowing you, your gonna end up trying to take down the White Fang like you did with the Goblin Nation Osborn made before his death." Venom answers.
"Yeah you're right, I just hope it doesn't end in a disaster like before." Peter somberly responds, still feeling guilty for causing Norman's death.
"Here is some advice, try not to get obsessed like you did before when you were trying to find him. If you had took your time to investigate more than just take down goons with little to know rest, you could have been in better condition to take him down quickly, without almost getting yourself killed. That and you know, killing Osborn." Venom suggests.
"Says the alien goo that got so obsessed with revenge that it ended up working in my favor when your arrogance lead to you making mistakes." Peter states.
"Hey! For your information, we were extremely blinded by rage, don't act like you weren't going to do something similar before. Venom retorts.
"But I didn't go through with it." Peter defends.
" Only because you caused it." Venom spats out.
"And my uncle paid the price for it. I guess at least we, and I hope when I say we I mean the both of us, learned something from those experiences in our lives." Peter responds.
"We know, plus messing with you is the closest thing to revenge we have." Venom chuckles.
"Better than trying to kill me at least, I just hope things go smoothly from." Peter sighs.
"That's a joke right, things never go you're way." Venom responds.
"I wish." Peter just replies.
Deciding to go call it a night, Peter goes straight to bed, so he can wake up bright and early the next morning so he can be ready for whatever life throws his way.
/
Meanwhile outside the city of Vale, a small camp consisting of a few members of the White Fang was stationed in a forest. The leader of this small group, Adam Taurus, was listening in on the news and failure of the attempt to kill the heiress of Schnee Dust Company. Angered by this news, he turns towards one of his subordinates and asks, "Who is responsible for this failure, if you value your life you will tell me now."
"It was Vale's vigilante, Spider-Man sir. He saved everyone from the burning SDC building last night." The White Fang member answered nervously.
"Spider-man, if he is a faunus, then we have another traitor among our kind. Tell the others to kill him at any cost, if he gets in our way he will regret doing so." Adam demands.
"Yes sir." The WF member says, leaving to pass on Adam's message.
Adam then sits alone in the tent, filled with anger and spite, recently the girl he loved had betrayed him and left the White Fang, and now some hero wannabe was starting to get in the way of his plans. Soon he will have his revenge, and destroy the arachnid hero for daring to get in the White Fang's way.
/
On the rooftop of a building, under the light of the moon, a girl with black hair and amber eyes, wearing a bow hiding her faunus ears was looking in the distance, searching for someone.
Pulling out a her scroll, she looks at a picture of the web-head, looking at the picture for anything that could hint at his whereabouts, asking herself. "Where are you Spider-man?"
