Chapter 5: Demons From Another World

Moments later, after the shocking event, Tim is now lying down on Blitz's bed, still passed out from the shock. Out of the room, Blitz along with his relative are sitting inside the space area that looks like the living room to try to have a casual conversation. However, no one is saying a single word at the large table. Blitz and his relatives are sitting on one side while Moxxie, Millie, Drew, and Berry are sitting on the other side. And still, no one says a sound.

"So uh, Blitzo," Moxxie replies.

But remembers, "Uh, do you want to go by Blitzo or Blitz?"

"You can call me Blitz if you like," Blitz replies.

"Of course," Moxxie says with a nod.

Then Millie says, "Uh, let's introduce ourselves. I'm Millie."

"And I'm her husband, Moxxie," Moxxie replies.

Then Berry says, "I'm Berry."

"And I'm her twin brother, Drew," Drew replies.

"It's nice to meet you. As I told you, my name is Blitzo, but you can call me Blitz," Blitz replies.

Then introduces to the relatives, "This is my Uncle Matt, my Aunt Lily, the twins: Andy and Candy. And the one who's still unconscious is Tim."

"It's nice to meet you," Moxxie says.

"Um yes, it's a pleasure to meet you too," Matt replies.

"Of course," Lily replies with a nod.

Mimmy then meows in reply as she climbs up and sits on Blitz's lap.

"So who's the cute little kitten?" Berry asks.

"This is my little kitten, Mimmy. She's usually a sweet little kitten, except when she's hungry and wants our attention. She can be a bit mischievous," Blitz says.

"She looks mighty adorable and so tiny," Millie says.

Then Drew says, "So uh, I have to suspect that you have a lot of questions."

"Yes. A lot of questions. What exactly are you? Well, Moxxie and Millie look a lot like me," Blitz asks, curious.

"Oh, that's easy, we're demons. Moxxie and I are Imps, while Drew is an Incubus and Berry is Succubus," Millie says.

"Uh, demons? Really?" Andy asks, dumbfounded.

"I was not expecting this," Candy replies, who is in shock.

"Yeah. We're demons. Although, we're really not supposed to be seen by humans," Berry says.

"But it didn't go so well because you guys saw us without our human disguises," Drew adds.

"I guess my family kind of surprised you when they decided to come in," Blitz says with a sheepish smile.

"Yeah. We were very surprised. And it's surprising to see that you look like our nephew," Matt says, looking at Moxxie and Millie.

"So then if you guys are demons, then that means Blitz is a demon as well? Is that what I'm getting?" Candy asks.

"He sure is. He's an Imp to be exact," Millie says.

Candy smiles and says, "That's actually cool. I like watching shows and anime involving demi-humans and demons. Although, you look kind of different than what I've seen on shows, including in some books they say about demons."

"You're uh, taking this a lot calmer than I thought," Drew says, skeptic.

"Believe us, we were all in shock, but we're trying to remain calm about it," Matt says.

"It was difficult to process on what's happening. I'm still shocked," Lily says.

"Yeah. Sorry about that," Berry replies.

"So, you mind telling us what is going on," The group turns to see Tim who is up.

Then asks, "Why are you here?"

"Hey Tim, finally woke up huh," Blitz says.

"Yeah yeah. I was a bit shocked, but I calmed down. Sort of," Tim says.

Then turns to the demons, "So, you mind tell us why you're here at the circus?

"Oh right, it's a bit complicated," Moxxie says.

"How so?" Candy asks.

The four demons look at each other with concern and skeptic looks on their faces.

Drew turns to Moxxie, "Uh Moxxie, you're better at explaining this than we are."

"Right," Moxxie replies with a nod.

Moxxie then explains, "This is going to sound hard for you to believe, especially for your human family. We're demons who lived in Hell, and yes, there are more demons of different shapes and sizes, and different classes of demons. Uh Imps like Millie and I are one of the lowest class of demons, Drew and Berry are a bit of a higher class than us. Of course, Berry is a Succubus and Drew is an Incubus. Either way, we're all born and raised in Hell.``

"Hell? Like Hell, Hell? The underworld," Tim asks, confused.

"Yes. However, Hell is actually not like how Humans visualize it. In truth, Hell is actually not so different from the living world, which is the world you live in, while also having distinct differences. In fact, Hell is also a home filled with different cities, towns for many different kinds of demons," Moxxie says.

"Sounds interesting," Blitz says.

Then Candy says, "Makes me wonder if Heaven's the same way."

"I suppose it is, but you humans might learn it once you end up there," Drew says.

"Like when we die?" Andy asks, arching his eyebrow.

"Exactly, it depends on what you do on earth, doing either good or bad things. And when you die, you automatically end up either at Heaven or Hell," Millie says.

"Sounds a little simple. It's also like you have a second life. Well, kind of," Blitz replies.

Then asks, "So is there anything else you can tell us about Hell?"

"Well, Hell may be a big world per say, but it also has other places within that big world. Kind of like how the earth has continents, Hell has different Rings of Hell with its own cities, towns, civilizations and all that," Berry says.

"All four of us currently live in Imp City which resides in the Pride Ring, but we were also born and raised in different places at the time. Me and my husband Moxxie were born and raised in the Wrath Ring. Berry and Drew were born and lived in the Lust Ring," Millie adds.

"Still, one of the differences is that crime is more frequent in Hell almost like earth. You'll be lucky trying to get away from oxygen than dealing with all the murderers, serial killers, drug addicts, perverts, rapist," Drew says.

Then Berry chuckles, "And don't get us started with Pentagram City."

"Pentagram City?" Blitz says, confused.

"It's another city in the Pride Ring, and it's actually where the human souls who have committed sins go to after they die, So, there are a lot more of those kinds, including Overlords, which are in a way, which are human souls with powerful abilities," Moxxie says.

"It's also good for having Turf Wars, drug deals, and other stuff. Along with a large pentagram in the sky. You can't miss it," Drew says.

"Sounds like a never ending war and survival," Tim replies.

"You have no idea," Berry says, rolling her eyes.

Then Millie chuckles, "But enough about that, what about you, Blitz?"

"What about me?" Blitz asks.

"How long have you been in the human world?" Moxxie asks.

Blitz thinks for a bit and says, "I would have to say my entire life."

"Really? You lived here like your entire life?" Berry asks, surprised.

"Um yes. My adopted mother, Lucy, found me in the woods during winter when I was just a baby. After she found me, my family decided to adopt me. When around a toddler or a child, my father Charles and my Uncle Matt started their circus. I travel with the circus along with my family, my brother and sister, and my cousins for a long time." Blitz says.

"That would explain the pictures we found in your room," Drew says.

Then Millie asks, "By the way, where are your parents? And your brother and sister?"

"Yeah. We sure like to meet them. I'm sure they'll want to hear this," Berry says.

Blitz then lowers his head, with deep sadness.

He then sighs and says, "I'm afraid that my family has long passed away. There was this incident and my father, brother, and sister died from it. A few years later, my mother passed away due to an illness and was injured during the incident."

Hearing this makes the demon saddle to see the sadness. Matt and his family feel the same.

"I'm so sorry to hear that," Millie sadly says.

"It's okay, it happened a long time ago. It's been thirteen years, but I was able to get over it. Well, there are still some sad moments, but my family and I were able to get through it," Blitz replies.

"Glad to hear that you're strong about it," Drew says.

"Thank you. Sorry to bring up the mood about it," Blitz replies.

But Moxxie quickly says, "But it's still impossible, an Imp that's been living in the human world, and has never been brought up to the demon royals and elite." and still shocked.

"But why is me living in the human world a big deal? For what everyone knows, I'm probably someone with a well, a freakish appearance, or just wearing make-up or a costume," Blitz replies.

"Well Blitz, the truth is, demons aren't supposed to be in Hell like at all, especially without a human disguise. You can get yourself into huge trouble," Drew says.

"So then, how did you get to the humane world if Demons can't?" Candy asks.

"We were given permission. Normal demons can't go to the human world without a disguise, or to have permission to be here. Still, a human disguise is necessary so we won't draw any attention," Millie says.

"So without those scenarios Blitz shouldn't be able to be in the human world, especially as long as he has," Matt says.

"And it's actually a miracle that no demon has ever seen Blitz. Because we're a traveling circus, we don't stay at one place for very long," Candy says.

"That sounds about right," Berry replies.

Then Lily asks, "Are there any special cases on when the demon could have ended up in the human world? Maybe by accident, or try to go into hiding, or even get separated from the group, or possibly exiled?"

"Well, demons can't be exiled to the human world," Moxxie says.

"And the bosses in charge always make sure their employees return to Hell," Millie says.

"And unless they're granted permission or if they haven't been notified, demons can't go to the human world to hide," Berry says.

Drew calmly crosses his arms and says, "Hmmm… however, there is one possibility, but the possibility is very slim."

"What's that?" Blitz asks.

"Decades ago, there was a terrible incident called the Cascade Gateway Disaster that happened during an early Extermination," Drew replies.

"Cascade Gateway Disaster?" Tim says, confused.

"Extermination?" Matt says, confused.

"Well, it's a long story, but short. The Extermination is when Angels from Heaven known as Exorcist come down to Hell once a year, and kill any demon to take care of the overpopulation Hell has to deal with for years," Drew says.

"Really? That's hard to believe," Candy replies.

"I know, but that's just the way Hell is. As long as you keep yourselves in your homes and border up, you'll be fine," Drew says.

"But what about that incident you were mentioning?" Matt replies.

"Oh right. The incident happened when the Extermination happened early, and it caught everyone off guard. Suddenly, portals to Hell begin to open in very places throughout Hell. Humans end up in Hell while Demons end up in the living world. It was utter chaos," Berry says.

"Was it that bad?" Andy asks.

"I remember that incident. It was so bad that they had to send in King Lucifer's soldiers to return the humans to the living world while they try to retrieve demons and bring them back to Hell," Millie says.

But Drew adds, "But apparently some of the Exterminators were able to get to the living world as well to chase down the demons they try to exterminate. Some of them did get killed, unfortunately. But the soldiers sent to the human world were able to retrieve the Exterminators, or they returned through the portal on their own so they don't bring any harm to humans."

"Sounds like Hell has its own laws and morals," Candy says.

"I must say. Hell is a lot different than what you read in books," Lily says.

"But what does this have to do with Blitz?" Andy asks.

Then Moxxie says. "Hmm, I think it has to do with a rumor, but no one really knows if it's true or not. However, seeing you here, that possibility may be slim, but it is possible."

Then explains to the others, "You see, there's been rumors that after the extermination and the incident, there was still one demon missing in the human world and never found. No one was even sure what kind of demon it was, or any surviving families."

"That or it was kept from the public on purpose. Of course, no one in Hell even knows if this is true or not," Berry says.

"So then seeing Blitz here, it's possible that he's the demon that has been sent here and never found," Moxxie adds.

"Is that possible?" Blitz asks.

"Like we said, we don't know for sure. And yet, that would explain why there hasn't been much reports about a demon in this world for so many years. Not to mention why the soldiers could't find you. You and the circus were moving around so much that it must have made it impossible for them to find you" Drew says.

"That would explain it. We do travel a lot," Matt says.

"And we usually work, have fun, and I suppose since we were with Blitz for so long, we didn't think there were problems," Tim says.

"Yes. Which also raises another problem," Drew says.

"What's that?" Candy asks.

"I don't see what's the problem with letting Blitz stay here. I mean, Blitz and his family were doing good so far. So there shouldn't be any problem," Millie says, and shrugs her shoulders.

"But Millie, we can't just keep this a secret. We already had to hide this from our boss and the others. We're lucky that Berry was able to convince him to let us because of something important," Moxxie says.

"And if Prince Stolas or even the Princes of Hell and Goetias find out about this. This could get Blitz into so much trouble," Berry adds.

"And let's not forget if any demon-crazed humans might find out about Blitz being a demon, and might think everyone in the circus might be demons," Drew says.

"Uh guys, I don't think you're helping them with this situation," Millie says,

The three turn to see Blitz and his family's faces are starting to go a little pale.

"Oh uh, we're sorry about that," Moxxie apologizes.

"We didn't want to upset you, but it's true," Berry says.

Deeply concerned, Blitz says, "I… I didn't realize how serious this is."

"It's not your fault Blitz. You had no idea about us demons, or the kind of laws we live by. My sister, colleagues, and I were given access to the human world, so do other demons. I'm surprised you've not been spotted by any of them yet," Drew says.

Blitz nervously chuckles as he rubs the back of his head, "I guess I'm just lucky… I guess."

"Out of curiosity, how did you get permission to be here?" Andy asks.

Drew, Berry, and Moxxie look a bit uneasy about pressing the subject.

But Millie says, "That's easy, we have a company that deals with the human world. Our company is I.M.P or Immediate Murder Professionals. It's a hitman company that helps clients deal with their unfinished business with human targets. Mainly the ones we dealt with are either drug dealers, psychos, and all that."

"Is it bad to have a hitman company out in the open?" Blitz asks.

"Not really. Hell don't really care about these kinds of things," Moxxie says.

"I guess you're right. You probably have mercenaries and assassins all over Hell anyway," Blitz replies, shrugging his shoulders.

"So are you like grim reapers?" Candy asks, curious.

Millie giggles and says, "Not really,"

"Of course, sometimes we accept requests in Hell and other stuff. Of course, the prince who gave us the book does assign us some important tasks related to the human world from time to time," Drew says.
"You mentioned that before. So Hell has royalty as well," Blitz replies.

"Exactly, there are a few demon royals, elites and such. However, you all can suspect which demon is the supreme ruler down there," Berry says.

"My guess is the Devil himself. So wait, does he call himself the Devil or something else?" Tim replies.

"Is the ruler of Hell King Lucifer, I remember you mentioned him before?" Blitz asks.

"That's right. Each Ring does have its own ruler, but Lucifer is the head ruler of Hell," Millie says.

Then Moxxie says, "Maybe we should get back to the latest issue."

Then turn to Blitz, "Blitzo, uh, Blitz. I understand that you have a life here with your family in the circus, and I respect that. And of course, we can trust your family to keep all of this a secret."

Charles and the others nod their heads, letting them know that they agree to keep the encounter and Blitz's demon existence to themselves.

Then Moxxie says, "However, although we promise to keep this a low profile, it might not stop any demon hunters or other demons with access to the human world to find out you are an Imp and living among humans. You'll either be put in danger or get yourself in trouble or find yourself in danger."

"So then, is there anything we can do? I don't want my nephew to get in trouble with something that isn't his fault," Lily asks.

"I agree. I don't think Blitz will be in too much trouble if he's the demon who was never found. And you have proof that Blitz has been here since he was a baby. They might overlook the situation since you have no knowledge of Hell and demons," Drew says.

"But what would be the best solution?" Berry asks, confused.

Just then, Millie turns to Blitz and happily says, "Hey Blitz, maybe you can come with us?"

"Uh, come with you?" Blitz says, confused.

"Yeah. We're all demons from Hell and you're a demon. You don't have to worry about crazy humans chasing you, or the demon royals know you're in the human world. Also, you'll have a chance to learn more about us demons, since you are one," Millie says.

"Yeah. You should come with us. I can show you the best places to go shopping," Berry says.

"And some of the great bars and nightclubs to go to," Drew says.

"And we can teach you all kinds of stuff," Millie says.

"I… I don't know… I mean, I've been with my family for so long. I guess I never thought about being anywhere else," Blitz says, petting Mimmy.

Mimmy meows in reply.

"Well, maybe this could be an opportunity to go out and see the world, well Hell anyway," Millie says.

"But where will I stay?" Blitz asks.

"You can stay with Moxxie and me," Millie says.

"Wait… what?" Moxxie says, confused.

Then Millie turns to Moxxie, "Yeah. We have a spare bedroom for him."

"Are you sure? I don't want to feel like a burden to you two," Blitz says.

Then Moxxie says, "Um I don't mind. As long as you do your share."

Millie chuckles, "Oh Moxxie…" and kisses Moxxie on the cheek.

"But still, I don't know…" Blitz says, unsure.

Uncle Matt places his hand on Blitz's shoulder, "But what do you want, Blitz?"

"What do you mean?" Blitz asks, confused.

Then Lily says, "We'd like to know if you wanted to go with them. If you do, we'll do our best to support you."

"But Aunt Lily…" Blitz says, concern.

Then sighs, "If I do go with them to this place uh, Hell… would I have to give up my life here forever…?"

"Oh Blitz, I don't think you can give us or any of this up," Lily says.

"Your Aunt's right, Blitzo. Living here in the human world and this circus is a part of who you are, no matter where you go in the world. Even if you want to," Matt says.

"And I'm sure your parents would want you to be able to continue to grow, even if it means leaving us," Lily says.

Then Tim says, "You should go for it Blitz."

"Yeah. You might like it there. Even though it sounds, well, dangerous, it sounds like it will be an adventure," Andy says.

"We're with you all the way," Candy says.

Blitz smiles and sees that he has his family's support.

Blitz then turns to the others and says, "Um guys, I think I'm going to take you up on your offer. That is, if you all don't mind me staying with you guys.

"We don't mind at all," Millie says.

She then gently scratches under Mimmy's chin, "You can even bring this little cutie if you like."

"As long as you keep an eye on her and don't break something," Moxie says.

"Don't worry, he's usually tamed," Blitz says.

Then Drew says, "Don't worry Blitz, we'll do our best to help you, and show you the ropes."

Then Berry takes Blitz's hand, "Come on Blitz, we can start helping you pack." Then drags Blitz to his bedroom.

"I'll go help," Drew says, and follows them.

Moxxie sighs as he rolls his eyes, "I'll call the boss and uh, explain to him about the situation."

Moxxie brings out his phone and begins to make the call.

He then answers, "Hello sir, it's Moxxie. We're ready to go back, and we're going to have someone coming with us. It's going to be very difficult to explain about our new guests..."
