A/N Sorry for the delay. I had to get my devices repaired and it took longer than expected. Now this chapter is a little shorter than usual but hopefully the wait is worth it. I apologize if you feel it's not. Anyways, enjoy!

Little Black Dresses.

Will was sitting in the living room of the Loud's House with Lincoln. He was alone with him after he just got off the phone with his sisters.

"They'll be here shortly." Lincoln said as he hung up the phone after talking to Lori.

This is it, I'm going to tell my story once the others arrive. To be honest I'm terrified to do so, but I can't back out now.

After a while there was a knock at the door. Lincoln opened it. On the other side is Ronnie Anne and Clyde.

"Hey Lincoln, hey Will." Ronnie Anne greeted. "I hope we're not too late." Will felt a little annoyed seeing extra people there.

"What's going on?" Will questioned his voice conveying his annoyance.

Ronnie Anne answered. "Lincoln said you were gonna tell your story about where you came from." Clyde nodded as he was obviously here for the same thing.

My God, I hope telling my story isn't going to turn into some kind of citywide event. Last thing I need is for this to be front page news.

Will pulled Lincoln aside and whispered to him in an irritated voice.

"Lincoln, how many people did you invite?" Will asked. "I thought this was going to be just your family, maybe Clyde and no one else."

"Well you did say get 'everyone' together, you didn't say my family only!" Lincoln argued.

"But this is-" Will stopped himself before this could escalate, today's not the day for that. "Ok, I'm not going to lose my temper, I must know. Who else besides Ronnie Anne and Clyde did you invite to this?" Ronnie Anne and Clyde looked at each other and shrugged. Did they do something wrong?

"Welllllll…." Lincoln said, trying to sound innocent. The doorbell rang this time and Lincoln dashed to it and opened the door and on the other side was Liam, Rusty, and Zach. Lincoln immediately gave them non verbal, 'No' gestures, to which the boys took seriously.

"I'll give you an abridged version when we meet up at school on Monday." Lincoln whispered to them. The three looked over Lincoln's shoulders and saw that Will was not happy to see them. The three boys nodded and turned around and left. Will had his hands on his hips giving Lincoln a questioning look. "That's all I swear." Lincoln sighed.

"Ok. I suppose two more is ok." Will sighed as his face relaxed. Mr and Mrs. Loud appeared in the Living room from the basement.

Will and Lincoln looked to the Loud parents and they stood side by side and gave sympathetic smiles to Will.

"Will, we just wanted to say how proud we are that you're opening up about your past." Mr. Loud said happily.

"We know it can't be easy for you." Mrs. Loud added. "Just know your dad respected your wishes and never said a single word to us." Will's mind raced for a moment but calmed. He smiled at the Loud parents as he knows he can trust his dad.

It is true that my Dad could easily just tell the story himself. However he said it's 'our story' and no one would tell it unless we were both ok with it. This is a small 'pact' we made when the Louds kept pestering us to tell them about where we came from after we first came here. Not soon after my bad attitude changed however, I still wasn't ready to tell the story. Dad said that I had his permission to tell it, for he was ready. I wasn't, so the 'pact' stayed in effect. Until now that is. In fact let me take you back to a few minutes ago when I actually briefly talked to dad about this.

(Flashback)

An hour and a half earlier Will was sitting at breakfast with Nicholas. Will just sat and stared at his plate of bacon and eggs. Nicholas already finished eating and simply sat across from Will drinking coffee and looking at the newspaper. He's clearly not noticing Will's somewhat troubled expression. Agnes was at the sink washing dishes. While Nicholas didn't notice Will's expression, Agnes did.

"Will, are you ok?" She asked in a gentle voice. "You haven't touched your breakfast." That signal caused Nicholas to look to his son and also showed concern for him. Will looked at the two and sighed.

"Dad….I called the Louds yesterday." Will said with his voice hesitating. "I decided it's time."

"Time for what?" Nicholas asked, tilting his head in curiosity. There was a long pause as Will couldn't spit out what he's doing. Will answered, again with slight hesitation.

"I'm going to tell them everything ...about us." There was a deafening silence in the air. Nicholas looked at Will with a blank look. Agnes joined in the silence despite only having a slight idea what's going on. If Nicholas hadn't had his coffee mug already on the table, if it was in his hand he would've instantly dropped it. Nicholas was the first to break the silence. He cleared his throat.

"Son, are you sure you want to do this?" He asked with concern. Agnes stayed quiet off to the side. However she was leaning in with intrigue on her face.

"Do you not want me to?" Will answered Nicholas's question with one of his own.

Nicholas answered. "I told you a long time ago I'm ready for the story to be told, you held onto it for a long time. Are you sure you're ready?"

Will nodded. "I think you and I held onto this long enough. I'm sorry if you wanted to talk about it for all this time and I kept you from doing so."

Agnes chimed in. "It kept our dates interesting." Nicholas chuckled softly and blushed a little. Will looked puzzled but understood one thing a little.

"Dad never told you anything when you two started seeing each other right?" Will questioned.

"Only a few bits and pieces." Agnes answered. "He told me about the agreement you two made. I think it's nice how you two made such a tight Father/Son agreement."

Nicholas explained further. "I didn't want her to be dating someone who never said anything about himself ever." Will paused but shrugged.

"Fair enough." He answered.

Old mean me would have lost my mind, thinking the pact had been broken. A little leeway won't hurt.

"It kept the dates interesting because it made your father so mysterious." Agnes giggled. Will gagged slightly at Nicholas and Agnes's affectionate giggling to each other.

(End Flashback)

Dad decided that I would do this since, one, it was my idea, two, I held onto the story longer than him. He said 'It would be good for me to get it out.' The more I thought about it, I realized how right he is.

"So you guys gonna stay and listen to me tell the story?" Will asked. The Loud parents shook their heads 'no' at the same time.

"We're going to your house." Mr. Loud said.

"Your dad's gonna tell it to us instead." Mrs. Loud said. "You should tell it to your friends, and we'll hear it from our's."

"Your dad said there's some 'extra' details that we should hear." Mr. Loud said. The Loud parents waved goodbye to Will and walked out the door.

I suppose he's going to tell them about the days before me, when he and my mom met. Makes sense that's not my story to tell. I mean, I actually don't know it very well.

"Lori is going around picking everyone up." Lincoln explained. Earlier, Lincoln asked Ronnie Anne and Clyde to help set up the living room. They moved the coffee table, then got a tall chair from the dining room and set it in the coffee table's place in the living room. The table is for Will to sit in while everyone else is going to sit in the chairs and sofa.

Will sighed and had a sad look on his face. He reached into his pocket and took out a small piece of paper. It was a photograph. In fact the same photograph Will was getting emotional at the past few nights before this day.

"Hey, what's that?" Lincoln asked. He gave Will a sympathetic look as he went to Will and looked over his shoulder at the photograph. Will didn't answer, but it wasn't hard to figure out why as he looked at the picture. It didn't take long for Ronnie Anne and Clyde to go to Will's other side and also took a look at the photograph.

The next day, Jennifer, woke up as her alarm clock rang and woke her up.

"I'm not messing up this time. I need to wake up properly before work." Jennifer said with a determined look on her face. She climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom to shower. It took a long while for her to open the door after she shut the water off to the shower. A cloud of steam flowed out the door of the bathroom once she opened it. She looked gorgeous and professional as she's very much ready for work today compared to the day before. She also looked completely dry with no sign that she washed up at all, but still looked completely fresh in her work uniform.

"Time to take this day by the horns." Jennifer said in a strong tone with a bold smile. She walked out of her apartment and locked the door with her key. She left the complex and walked the path to the massive parking garage. She got into her car and drove calmly towards her destination.

She stopped at a coffee and breakfast shop. To pick up a cup of coffee with milk, sugar and cream. Along with a breakfast, egg cheese, and sausage in a gluten free sandwich. This is a shop Jennifer the clerk serving her was new. The clerk blushed when he saw her and along with her order. He handed her a free non fat, blueberry muffin.

Jennifer sighed in annoyance when this happened. "You're kind, thanks but don't even think about it." She said in a polite, but warning tone. The clerk felt humbled as a coworker who serviced Jennifer multiple times before, pulled him aside and for a small chat.

"I've dealt with this since high school. It was ok at first, but now it's annoying." Jennifer grumbled to herself as she piled her breakfast into the car. Clearly this isn't the first time someone gave her something for taking their breath away.

She arrived at her job as she finished her breakfast. She tossed the garbage in a nearby trash can. Once she walked inside Octavia was there to greet her.

"Hello Jennifer!" Octavia said. "You look rested." Jennifer laughed as they learned she was on time for work, compared to the day before.

The two walked into the back and into a design room as they looked over a set of black tuxedos and ocean blue dresses. They were about half complete and sat on plastic torsos of headless and legless mannequins.

"At least you're doing a smaller job." Octavia said. The bride and groom already have their outfits, you're just working on the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

"I suppose so." Jennifer sighed. "Now that I'm focused more, Octavia, if you please." Jennifer said as she closed her eyes. Octavia walked out of the room and Jennifer seemed to be in a pseudo meditative state. Her eyes flashed open and she immediately gripped her materials and went to work.

It was lunch time as Octavia and Jennifer were sitting in the employee lounge eating food.

"How's it going?" Octavia asked.

"The bridesmaids' dresses are finished." Jennifer asked. The tuxedos need some more work however.

"That sounds great." The voice of a middle aged gentleman. The two work friends looked at the front door to see a well dressed and well groomed middle aged man. He had wide glasses and he had a coffee mug in hand. He wore black suit pants held over his shoulders with black suspenders. His shirt was a normal white buttoned down shirt with a black tie.

"Hey Bernard." Octavia said.

"Good afternoon ladies." Bernard said. His voice was smooth but it did sound like there was a kind sleaziness to his talking. He turned his attention to Jennifer. "I heard you're almost finished with the wedding order right?"

"Correct." Jennifer replied.

Bernard had to break some bad news. "Ok well, I hate to do this but we just got a second order and so far with only you and Octavia here, to get it all done we may be able to hire more hands." Octavia and Jennifer hung their heads as they started to feel overworked.

"What's the job?" Octavia asked in a defeated tone.

"There's an American celebratory festival next month around memorial day." Bernard answered. "They need you to make one Red White and Blue suit for the master of ceremonies for the festival and fifteen Star Spangled lady dresses for the dancers on stage."

"A month!?" Jennifer gasped in shock. "You accepted this?"

"Yeah, we need the money to stay afloat." Bernard answered, his voice not changing in tone.

"To complete the wedding job and this job is gonna take weeks!" Octavia complained.

"I know so If you guys could please come in on Saturdays and Sundays too, that would be terrific. M'kay?" He just turned around and walked out of the lounge.

"He's a piece of work." Jennifer growled. "He handles the orders and controls the finances, we do all the work."

"Agreed." Octavia sighed. "We just gotta pray that not a whole lot of customers bother us for stuff." Jennifer got hit with a reminder. "What is it?" Octavia asked.

"I got a date with Travis this weekend!" Jennifer answered. Octavia's mouth hung open as she remembered this fact too. Octavia simply walked to Jennifer and placed her hand on Jennifer's shoulder.

"Hun, I will stay later on Saturday." Octavia said. "I can't deprive you of time with your man. In fact you should tell that stud to take more time." Octavia teased her. The two laughed as Jennifer blushed.

"You'd really do that?" Jennifer asked kindly.

Octavia laughed. "Absolutely. You know I'm a sucker for this thing. I mean you know I love romance novels."

"Thanks." Jennifer said as she gave Octavia a wide smile. "When you get someone I'll be sure to do the same for you!"

"You know I'm gonna hold you to that." Octavia swore. "The two shared another laugh."

The day continued as Jennifer worked on the Tuxedos. The work day came to an end as Jennifer and Octavia walked out of the store, said goodnight to each other and got into their cars and returned home.

Jennifer unlocked the door to her apartment and as she stepped inside she kicked off her shoes. She breathed a sigh of relief as she felt her body relax. She moved to her kitchen and took out some fresh fruit and some tea from her refrigerator and sat in front of her TV and turned on Netflix. She turned on the animated Castlevania series. She smiled as she watched the action scenes and witty dialogue although it's laced with profanity.

"I will get us a cupboard wagon and horses. You two try not to kill each other while I'm gone."

"Please We're not children."

"Eat {)&* and die."

"Yes, $% # you."

The two characters on the show shared a laugh. Jennifer found herself laughing with the show. Her focus left the screen as she began to think about something.

"He loved those video games. I think he'd love this too." Jennifer thought to herself.

Her smile began to fade. It then turned sad as she felt a tear run down her cheek.

That night she let her hair down and was wearing her white pajama set. She crawled into bed and set her alarm and drifted off to sleep.

Two days have passed. It was Saturday. It was time for her date. She just got out of the shower and she was wrapped in a bathrobe and her head was wrapped in a towel as she just got out of the shower. She was talking to Octavia on the phone.

We finished the wedding order. Jennifer said. "The customers were happy with what they got?"

"Yep." Octavia answered. "Luckily Bernard did the right thing and made sure the customer knows we did the work."

"I guess he's not completely heartless." Jennifer sighed.

"Perhaps but don't forget, you're supposed to be here tonight." Octavia teased.

"I know, thank you again for covering for me." Jennifer giggled.

"Thank you for checking in on me." Octavia replied.

"I suppose we'll figure out how this will work when I see you tomorrow." Jennifer sighed. "See you then."

"Have a great time!" Octavia laughed as they hung up the phone. Jennifer was about to move when she paused, something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She looked at a picture frame on her bedside table. The picture inside filled her with emotions. Many, negative ones.

"I think Travis better know. If he wants to go further." Jennifer said to herself.

Jennifer went into the bathroom and closed the door. At least an hour later she stepped out. She was an absolute vision of beauty. Her hair was fluffed out as she wore an aqua dress that was pure silk. It tied into a nice elegant looking bun on her back. Her high heels matched the dress and sparkled with glitter. Her face had purple eyeliner and rose red mascara. Her lips had a ruby red lipstick.

She heard a knock at her door and she walked towards it. She looked out the door's peephole and there was her date. She took a deep breath and opened the door slowly. She leaned her hand on the doorframe and did a pose for Travis. Travis blushed deeply as he saw how stunningly beautiful she was.

Travis on the other hand wore a maroon colored button shirt with beige colored khaki pants and polished dress shoes.

"Oh man. You look…..like an angel." Travis said weakly as he blushed. Jennifer blushed at his praise. It wasn't the first time she's been called that. However it means something more hearing it come from him.

"Thanks." Jennifer said with a light giggle in her throat. "You look very nice yourself."

"I got a nice night planned for dinner and dancing." Travis said. He offered Jennifer his hand which she stepped forward to try and take. Unfortunately she slipped forward and fell on her face.

"Oof!" Jennifer groaned as she tried to pick herself up. Travis assisted her back on her feet. Her face had some dirt on it and her perfect hair was now a little messy, however that didn't stop her from still looking like a positive vision of beauty.

"Sorry." Jennifer laughed. "I actually don't wear high heels very much. They're very uncomfortable."

"My mother always said the same thing." Travis laughed with her. They both left the apartment complex hand in hand. The two went to Travis's pickup truck which was a four door blue Ford. Travis opened the door for Jennifer and helped her step up inside since the frame of the vehicle stood quite a few feet off the ground. You'd need long enough legs to step onto the metal step bar. Then step into the seat. Once they were both inside the truck, the couple drove off and arrived at a large building called. 'The Gold Room.'

"I've never been here, never even heard of it." Jennifer said as she looked at the huge building in awe.

"To be honest I haven't either." Travis replied. "I actually started Googling places for us to go once you agreed to this evening. This is the place that seems the most promising because it has everything."

Travis explained that The Gold Room is a restaurant/club. It's not a 'club' as most people understand it. Such as with lots of noise, lights and debauchery.

The two stepped out of the truck and walked inside the place. This place actually has a dance floor that resembles a modern ballroom. No one dressed like a person from the seventeenth century. Everyone dressed as if it was prom night.

A chandelier was hanging over the dance floor with twinkling light bulbs that resemble snowflakes. The floor of the dance floor was polished cement painted with elegant patterns. The rest of the place was carpeted. The place has a nice atmosphere with calming piano music in the area of the place over speakers of the restaurant and bar area. The dance floor has a small local band in the corner. The instruments they're playing, cancels out the music over the P.A.

"Wow." Jennifer said, obviously impressed with what she's looking at.

"Yeah, glamorous isn't it?" Travis answered, also impressed. Travis walked in front of Jennifer and bowed to her. He extended his hand like a gentleman. "May I have this dance?"

Jennifer blushed as she accepted Travis's hand. They walked to the dance floor, along the way most of the guys looked at how lovely Jennifer is. Ones that had dates got smacked in the head for looking at a different lady. Everyone knew better not to approach her because Travis is a pretty strong looking guy. Once they arrived at the dance floor, they didn't step onto it until the song the band was playing finished and they started another song. Once they stepped onto the floor, the song that started to play was a romantic tango song. Travis wrapped one arm around Jennifer's waist, Jennifer put one hand on Travis's shoulder. The two joined their other hands together and they moved across the dance floor. The two seemed to dance in sync with everyone else on the dance floor.

"You dance wonderfully!" Travis praised.

Jennifer answered. "Thank y-"

"OUCH!" Travis yelped as Jennifer stepped on Travis's foot. Their dancing came to a halt which caused the other couples to bump into them.

"Sorry!" Jennifer shrieked. "I normally dance fine! It's just, like I said earlier. High heels."

"It's ok." Travis said wincing, yet still giving Jennifer a smile. The couple continued to dance. The moves actually remained nice and smooth. Unfortunately…

"OW!" Travis winced again as Jennifer once more stepped on his foot again.

"Sorry!" Jennifer shouted as the other couples bumped into them again.

"Hey move it!" One guy aggressively ordered them after bumping them. Jennifer and Travis decided to ignore them.

"Hey, how about we go eat?" Travis offered since dancing is clearly not working out.

"I suppose that would be a better idea." Jennifer sighed, feeling embarrassed.

The two left the dance floor, Jennifer repeated that she can dance just not in high heels. Travis tried his hardest to let her know it's ok, but the embarrassment was overwhelming. Eventually she did let it go. The two sat at a table in the restaurant area and decided to have dinner.

"Hey I'm having a great time anyways." Travis said, still smiling.

"Thank you." Jennifer said with a bashful face. She's grateful to know that she's not ruining the date that Travis set up. The two looked over the menus to find a nice dinner. Travis eventually ordered a salmon dinner while Jennifer ordered a chicken parmesan pasta. The two decided to talk and reminisce about old times.

"What are the odds we'd bump into each other again after highschool." Travis said smiling.

"I know, right?" Jennifer laughed. "It's been what, a little over ten years?" Travis agreed after thinking about it for a little bit.

"sixteen to be exact." Travis answered. The two just had some casual chit chat.

"So you said you're starting a band when did this happen?" Jennifer asked.

Travis sighed and explained. "Two months ago. We mostly had to spend time gathering the necessary members, then acquiring the right instruments. We did, now we need to learn to play them, then start writing songs."

Jennifer playfully giggled. "Well, when you get your first gig, make sure I get a front row seat and a backstage pass." Travis chuckled with her. Jennifer continued. "How about your basketball team?"

Travis replied. "Like I said, the last game of the round is next weekend. Wanna come watch us beat our opponent and enter the next round? Unfortunately it's still quite a ways from the championship."

"I think I'd like that." Jennifer said softly, accepting Travis's invitation. Her eyes fluttered at him, causing Travis to blush and chuckled warmly. He decided to bring up a little more personal memories between them.

"You remember when we first met?" Travis asked. "It was back in second grade, when you designed the outfits for the school play for Cinderella."

"Yeah, I remember that." Jennifer said blushing. "How little we were. I had to try on the Cinderella dress, despite not actually being in the play."

Travis started to blush again as he remembered a very special moment at that specific time. While Jennifer doesn't really know it, that was the exact moment his feelings for Jennifer emerged.

"I saw you in that blue dress." Travis said softly, his eyes not looking Jennifer in hers. "I've never seen someone so beautiful." Jennifer and Travis both blushed. Their meals arrived and the two started eating. Travis got some garlic sauce on his chin but kept eating Jennifer saw this and blushed.

"Travis…you got some…right here." Jennifer said as she motioned with her thumb where the mess was. Travis tried wiping it off but kept missing. Jennifer took her own napkin and wiped Travis's chin clean. The two froze and looked into each other's eyes.

"Jennifer." Travis said softly, there was something almost 'enchanting,' in how Travis said her name but something happened before anything more could build. Unfortunately something caught Jennifer's attention out of the corner of her eye. It was a cute couple just walking into the place. A young looking couple, quite a young couple, looking as if it was their first date. Memories flooded in her mind of someone else. Jennifer's heart sank when she saw this. She looked away from Travis and felt overwhelmed with shame.

"Travis, I'm sorry. I gotta go. You're nice and everything, but I'm not ready." Jennifer said in a weak voice. Before he could say anything Jennifer stood up. "It's not you, it's me. I really mean that too!" Jennifer said as she rushed out the door leaving Travis shocked and confused. Although now he was starting to feel quite embarrassed for having his date walk out on him, some of the other people would look and whisper at him. For what reason, who knows.

Jennifer took a cab home and sat on her bed feeling sad. She looked at a photo on her nightstand and took it. She looked at it closely as she sniffed. Tears welled in her eyes as she started to softly cry.

The next day Jennifer came in to work. Her hair was a little messy but she was still quite lovely looking. Octavia was working already and noticed how down she was looking. She set down her tools and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, did things not go well last night?" Octavia asked. Her voice is soft with concern. Jennifer in a grogging voice told Octavia how she just up and left Travis in the middle of dinner.

"I shouldn't be going out on dates." Jennifer grumbled. "It's not fair to him."

"Fair to who?" Octavia asked.

Jennifer sighed. "I never speak of it, but seeing as I just ended my loving date with my school sweetheart. I guess there's no hiding it now."

"What?" Octavia asked. Jennifer sighed.

Jennifer sighed and uttered. "In the years after highschool and today. There was someone else. We met at college."

Octavia shrugged. "So you dated around? So what? Lots of people do that when they're young and just starting out in the open world."

"It was more than just some summer romance!" Jennifer said with tears in her eyes. "He was a good guy, and we…we married."

Octavia's eyes widened as she started to understand.

"We….we….." Jennifer sniffed as she closed her eyes and wiped the tears out of her eyes. "We had a child together."

Octavia's mouth hung open. "You're a mother?" She asked. Jennifer only nodded. Octavia understood things better now. "I guess I can see you still wanting things to stay fair to your kid. You never mentioned them until now, are you still in touch with him?"

"No….I'm horrible for cutting him out of my life." Jennifer sniffed, feeling guilt choke up in her neck. "I haven't seen or talked to him or my ex since we separated."

Octavia understood now that it's a son that she has. She felt pity for Jennifer as it's obvious that Jennifer made a huge mistake, yet still very much cares about her child.

"Are you gonna tell Travis about this? He doesn't know, does he?" Octavia inquired. Jennifer sighed as she understands that Travis does deserve some kind of explanation for why she just got up and left him during their nice date. Although how would she explain to her school sweetheart that she was involved with someone else and that she's a mother now?

A/N Now that's it for this chapter, the next one will start to bridge what's going on the Louds and with Jennifer. I'm going to get to work on it immediately so hopefully it won't take too long to publish. In the meantime. Did you guys see the Sonic 3 movie trailer? Did you guys see Deadpool and Wolverine? How about Beetlejuice? What did you think of those? Or this chapter? Whatever you feel let me know in a review or a PM! See you next time!
