Chapter 18-A former friend

Luna's P.O.V

Luna opens the door to Costia's room and looks at her former friend as she turns to look at her. "Luna, I should have figured you'd be here as soon as Lexa found out," Costia says as she stands up. "I imagine Lexa has filled you in on everything so why are you here?"

"I wanted to see you," Luna says. "Or I wanted to see who you are now."

"I'm not who you remember," Costia says. "That girl died a long time ago."

"I think she's still alive in there somewhere."

"You'd be wrong, Nia spend years killing every part of her."

"Now Nia will die," Luna says.

"Lexa's going to attack, Azgeda? It would be easier for her to kill me."

"She doesn't want too. Clarke doesn't want her too so we're going to get rid of the problem. We're going to kill Nia and put a new ruler on that throne."

"What are you going to do about Ontari?" Costia asks. "Are you going to kill one of your own?"

"What are you—" Luna eyes widen as she realizes what Costia was saying. "Ontari is a nightblood?"

"Yes, who did you think Nia was going to put on that throne once she had killed Lexa. She killed Ontari's parents and took her and hid her away in that castle."

"Why would you tell me this? I thought you were loyal to Nia."

"Not loyal, scared of, you should be too. I would love it if you killed her and brought me her head. I'm telling you this because I care about Ontari. She is the only friend I had inside that castle. Don't kill her, she's a good person," Costia says and Luna nods. "You guys should probably go plan your war," Luna nods as she leaves the room.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa sat on her throne as the ambassadors filled the room. Anya was on her life and Gustus was on her right. "Why have you called this meeting, Heda?" The Shadow valley clan ambassador asks.

"I have decided that we are going to war with Azgeda. As you can see the Azgeda ambassador is not here, he is in a cell and tonight, he will die."

"You are risking the coalition, why Heda?" The Rock line ambassador asks.

"The assassin who killed Titus and the desert clan ambassador, they belong to Nia," Lexa says.

"How do you know?" The Glowing Forest ambassador asks.

"Roan Kom Azgeda brought them to me. The assassin is Costia," Lexa says to the surprise of the ambassadors.

"Costia was killed by Nia during the war," The Lake people ambassador says.

"I believed that as well but it is not true, She is alive and is currently being guarded in a room. Titus helped Nia take her during the war and Luna has also gotten some new information," Lexa says as she looks at the Boat people leader.

"Nia's personal guard, Ontari. She is a nightblood. Nia killed her parents and took her, she hid her from Flamekeepers, and the Coalition," Luna says.

"Where did you get this information?" The Blue Cliff ambassador asks.

"From Costia, she has no reason to lie, she wants Nia dead. But we have decided to ask another," Lexa says as she nods to the guard who leaves the room. He comes back a couple of minutes later with Roan. Roan stood in front of Lexa as the Commander looked into his eyes. "Is Ontari a nightblood?"

"Yes, she is. My mother wants a Azgeda Commander, her plan is to someday kill the Commander and make sure that Ontari wins the Conclave. Just like Costia and I, she hates my mother," Roan says.

"I will not make you fight in this war, but Nia has gone unpunished for too long, it is time for her to die, if you wish to fight with me please stand," Lexa says. Clarke, Luna and the Trikru ambassador stand. Quickly followed by the Lake people ambassador. Slowly the rest of the ambassador start to stand. "Good, send riders to your leaders, tell them to send their warriors to Polis. That is all for now."

"Heda," The Blue Cliff ambassador says. "What about Costia? Will she answer for her crimes?"

"No, Nia will," Lexa says. "Is there a problem with that?"

"She killed the Flamekeeper. I understand that you have a past with her, that you love her but you must die, this will be seen as weakness," Lexa stands up and walks up to him.

"Do you think I am weak?"

"If you let her live, yes I do," He growls back. Gustus moves towards the man but Lexa holds her hand up.

"My personal feelings for Costia do not cloud my judgement. She is just a puppet, Nia is the master, she must die," Lexa says.

"Either you will kill her or I will," Lexa removes her dagger and stabs it into the ambassdor's chest. He gasps in pain as he falls back into the chair and dies. "Does anybody else wish to question me?" The other ambassadors shake their head and Lexa nods as she leaves the room.

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy swings at Octavia who easily hit the sword away. He turns around and swings again. Octavia side steps his swing and punches him in the face before grabbing him by his hair and throwing him to the ground as Lincoln kicks Kane in the chest and knocks him on his back. "Was grabbing my hair needed?" Murphy asks her.

"During a fight, you're going to get your enemy down in anyway you can. You'll rarely get a chance to grab them by their hair but you left yourself open," Octavia tells him. "Fighting is all about patience, trying to predict your enemy's next move before they make it. If you can't do that, you'll be dead in minutes."

"Good to know," Murphy says as he pulls himself up. "I need a break."

"You're next, Bell," Octavia as she looks at her brother who smirks as he takes the sword from Murphy and walks into the ring. Murphy stands by Wells who looks at him with a smirk.

"I'm going to laugh at you when she knocks you on your ass," Murphy says as Kane stands up.

"Any tips for me?" Kane asks Lincoln.

"You're using to much strength, you're putting all of your strength into your swings and it is tiring you out quickly and it makes it easier to knock you down and after kill you," Lincoln tells Kane who nods as he grips the sword and they begin again.

Jaha's P.O.V

Jaha sat in his office. He looked at the door as there was a knock. "Come in," Jaha says and Diana Syndey walks into his office.

"You asked for me," Diana says as she sits down.

"I did," Jaha says as he leans back in his chair. "I need your help Diana."

"With?"

"Saving our people. As I said, I am going to go to the ground with the prisoners. I have named Charles as the Vice Chancellor put I would like you to join the council. I will be taking a radio and if they ground is survivable. You and Charles will need to bring them down."

"How? The exodus ships won't bring everybody on the Ark down," Diana says.

"We will need to figure that out during the upcoming months. I know some of your people have skills as engineers and mechanics, but they do not get paid well. I am willing to pay them more to take over the positions of Sinclair, Wick, and Jake. Sinclair and Jake kept notes, they will need to learn them to learn everything those two knew about our home."

"I will talk to them, and I accept your offer Chancellor," Diana says and Jaha nods as she leaves the room.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke walks into Costia's room. "You really are pretty," Costia says. "So why are you here? To ask me to stay away from Lexa?"

"No I'm here to talk to you, maybe threaten you?"

"Bold, you wouldn't be saying that if I had a sword in my hand," Costia says. "I've been hearing stories about you for months, the sky girl turned warrior, beat a warrior in single combat who had years of experience on her. The Commander's second."

"I'm glad I'm getting a reputation," Clarke says as she walks closer to her. "I can't imagine what you've been through the last few years. What Nia has done to you. I didn't know you before but I have heard stories and you are not the girl from those stories. I don't know if she is gone. What I do know is that the one I'm looking at hurt Lexa, killed someone she cared about. It would be smarter for us to kill you but I want to give you a second chance but I want to make this clear, If you hurt anybody else. I will kill you."

"You'll try to kill me," Costia says.

"No, I will. You were trained by Azgeda soldiers. I was trained by the Commander. I may die during that fight, but you'll die with me."

"Then let's hope it doesn't come to that," Costia says as she stands face to face with the blond.

"Let's hope," Clarke says before she turns and walks towards the door.

"Clarke," Costia says making Clarke look at her. "She'll break your heart in the end."

Clarke doesn't say anything as she pulls the door open and leaves the room.

Lexa's P.O.V

The sun set In the sky as Lexa stood on a stage in the city. The Azgeda ambassador tied up behind her. "Azgeda has betrayed us once again," Lexa says loud enough for everybody to hear. "Their assassin killed Titus, killed the Desert Clan ambassador. Nia has kept a nightblood from us, kept them captive in her castle. For these crimes, Nia Kom Azgeda will die!" Lexa shouts and the people cheer. "But first her ambassador will, this man has betrayed us. He let the assassin in to kill Titus and for that, blood must have blood. He will die a death of a thousand cuts," Lexa says as she walks up Wes and tears his shirt off. She then cuts into his chest. He grunts in pain as Lexa backs up and people start to walk up to him and cut into him. Lexa walks to the bottom of the stage and stands beside Clark. "Where have you been?"

"I was talking to Costia," Clarke tells her and Lexa looks at her. "I was just giving her a warning."

"Clarke, you should not speak to her, she is not in the right mind space," Lexa tells her girlfriend.

"I don't think any of us are in the right mind space anymore. I want this to work, Lexa. I want to give her a chance to prove herself, but we have to be careful."

"I know, Clarke. Don't worry, if she tries something, she will be dealt with," Lexa tells her as she lays her hand on Clarke's shoulder. "But for right now, let's worry about the war to come."

Clarke nods. An hour later Lexa walked up the stage and looked at Wes. His breathing was labored but he slowly raised his head and looked at Lexa. He spit on her boot and she smirks as she removes her sword and presses it against his chest. "Yu gonplei ste odon," Lexa says before she pushes the sword into his heart. He lets out a shaky breath before his head falls and he dies. Lexa then turns to the people. "Next Nia answers for her crimes!"
