Chapter 48-Jaha's decision

One day before the dropship falls

Kane's P.O.V

Kane stood with Lexa, Clarke, Jake, Octavia, Raven Luna, Murphy, Wells, and Anya. "Jaha will fall either tonight or tomorrow morning. Kane I know you've been working on a plan," Lexa says to the man. "We all know why Jaha is coming down here, to kill Jake and I. He wants revenge for what happened on the Ark. We don't know what he is coming down with. We can assume some guards. He'll probably use the prisoners to his advantage as well," Kane says. "We might have a couple of the prisoners on our side," Murphy says. "Hopefully Charlotte has made some friends while she was in the Dropbox."

"Jaha could also use the dropship to his advantage," Raven says. "They could lock themselves inside and if they have someone smart with them. They could create a ring of fire with the ship," Raven tells them. "So what do we have?" Lexa asks. "Bows and a lot more men," Jake says from where he sat. "Not if Jaha convinces the rest of the Ark to fight with him," Clarke says. "We all know he'll have a radio, you add the rest of the Ark to his army, we'll lose a lot and any chance of defeating Mount Weather."

"What if I could convince my Dad to stand down?" Wells asks.

"Standing down would require him to give up his power," Kane says. "He might, but we don't how these last couple months have affected him, we have to be careful. Right now, we need to wait, see where he drops and send scouts out there."

"What about Finn?" Octavia says while looking at Raven.

"Who's Finn?" Lexa asks. "My ex-boyfriend," Raven answers. "What about him?"

"We know he had friends in the skybox. If we could convince him to work with us, we might have more of the prisoners on our side. You might be able to convince him." "Might," Raven says. "What am I supposed to say to him? Good to see you Finn, in the year since we've seen each I've killed more than a dozen people, and have slept with two women, one of them I'm dating."

"When you say it like that it sounds bad," Octavia mutters.

"If I could talk to him, I might be able to convince him," Raven says.

"We have a plan," Lexa says. "Now we wait for Jaha."

Jaha's P.O.V

Jaha stood in the skybox. "Why are you here, sir?" A guard asks. "I need to see a prisoner," Jaha says. "Bring me, Finn Collins,"

The guard nods as Jaha goes into a interrogation room and waits. The door opens and Finn walks in. "It's not a secret about what about to happen to us," Finn says. "The guards talk. We're going to the ground tomorrow." "It was never meant to be a secret," Jaha says as he motions for Finn to sit down. Jaha sits down and Finn sits down across him. "Not after Kane fell, tomorrow marks a new beginning for our people, Finn. A better one." "Once you get revenge," Finn says. "Kane and Jake have to die." "They have caused the death of dozens of our people. They have to answer for those crimes. Aurora Blake has to die for breaking the law as does Octavia and Bellamy Blake. But what to do about Raven Reyes," Jaha says. "Do I kill her, do I pardon her, that is the question." "She's a genius, you'll want her. You'll need her," Finn says. "I have the same thought," Jaha says. "But she won't listen to me." "You think she'll listen to me?" Finn asks. "I know she will. You help me and I help you, Finn."

"What's in it for me?" Finn asks. "The bring Raven Reyes to our side, I'll give you a seat on the council," Jaha says. "You both will be pardoned for your crimes. I will also need you to make sure your friends in the skybox remain loyal."

Finn stays silent. "Raven won't be harmed?" Finn asks. "Not a scratch," Jaha says. "I give my word." "Then you have yourself a deal," Finn says and Jaha nods with a smirk. "Come get him," Jaha says and the guards comes in. "I am excited for our partnership Mr. Collins," Jaha says as Finn is taken out. A couple of minutes later the guard returns. "I'll be back an hour before we fall, make sure the girl Charlotte is in here," Jaha says and the guards nods as Jaha leaves.

Raven's P.O.V

Raven walked into her workshop and locked the door. She walked to the back of her workshop and moved a crate before pulling a piece of the floor up. She pulls out a bag and pulls a gun out of it. She stares at the weapon for a moment. "Raven," Octavia says as she knocks on the door. "I'm coming," Raven says as she hides the guns and opens the door. "Why was the door locked?" Octavia asks. "Don't worry about it. What's up?" Raven asks as she walks to her desk.

"I just wanted to check on you," Octavia says as she shuts the door. "I'm fine," Raven says. "I never thought about seeing Finn again. I love Luna, that won't change. But Finn was there for me my entire life, I don't want to hurt him," Raven tells her as she sits down. "I think he'll just be happy that you are alive," Octavia says. "I do think you should try and talk to him." "I will," Raven says. "Hopefully everything goes according to plan."

"Hopefully."

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy swung his sword at Ontari who dodges the swing. "You're getting faster." "My speed isn't going to stop their bullets," Murphy says. "You think we should use guns?" Ontari asks Murphy who nods as he puts his sword away.

"I get it, why you guys don't want to use them but, if the people from the Ark used them we could save lives, Jaha's guns are going to tear through our soilders." "Lexa and Clarke have prepared for that, that's why we've been making shields and metal breastplates. Hopefully they'll help slow down the bullets," Ontari says. "We can beat Jaha without them." "We can, but Jaha isn't the real threat, Mount Weather is, we need every man we can get if we hope to beat Mount Weather," Murphy tells her. "We haven't lost yet, Murphy. We're not going to lose to Jaha or Mount Weather. Now come on," Ontari says and Murphy nods as he withdraws his sword.

Kane's P.O.V

Kane sat the table in his house staring at the wall. "That wall giving you ideas?" Jake asks as he walks into the house. "Doors were made for a reason, Jake," Kane says. "I'm just thinking." "About?" Jake says. "What else he could do," Kane says. "Jaha is smart, he can also be cruel and he'll want us to suffer before he kills us."

"He'll kill our children," Jake says. "If he gets his hands on Clarke, Octavia, or Bellamy. They'll die, in his eyes you took Wells away from him. He'll want to see you suffer for that." "We're going to have to kill him aren't we?" Kane asks. "Yeah, we are," Jake says. "There is no way around it, don't worry when the time comes. I'll swing the sword. He was my best friend before all of this. I'll deal with him after."

Kane nods as the two sit in silence.

Charles's P.O.V

Charles stood in the control room when two guards walks in and grabbed him. "What the hell are you doing?" Charles asks. "The chancellor wants to see you," One of them says. "Do not resist us, Charles. It will not end well for you." Charles walks through the Ark until he reaches the skybox. He goes into an interrgation room and sees Jaha standing. In front of him sat Charlotte, who was handcuffed to the table and her mouth was taped shut. Jaha had a gun pressed to the back of her head. "What are you doing?" Charles asks. "It's time you and I had a chat," Jaha says. "You lie to me, I will kill her."

"Sir, she is a child," Charles says. "One you had been talking to. I want to trust you Charles, truly I do, but I cannot," Jaha says. "Tell me your plans."

"I have none," Charles says. "I swear it to you sir."

"I'll give you one more chance before I put a bullet into this girls head, should she die for you sins?" Jaha asks. "Three...Two..." "We need Jake," Charles says. "Sir, I have a plan to save all of our people, but Jake may be the only person who can tell us how to do it. I planned to save him." "By killing me?" Jaha asks. "No, I would have you detained," Charles says. "Sir, we fall in less than an hour. Please do not do this, we can still save our people." "Who are you working with?" Jaha asks. "Names, Charles!"

Charles sighs as he starts to say the names of the guards. After Jaha puts the gun away. "Those men will be floated, I will have new guards taken, I do not imagine there will be many problems here," Jaha says as he walks up to Charles. "Will I join them?" Charles asks. "No, my friend, you will not," Jaha says before Charles feels something sharp pierce his stomach. The door opens and two guards walk in as Charlotte tries to get up. "Put her in the dropship, keep her mouth shut," The guards nod as they knock Charlotte out as Charles feels his legs give out and he falls to his knees. Jaha falls with him, still holding the knife in Charles stomach. "All I want is to kill Jake Griffin and Marcus Kane for taking my son from me, after I will save our people, but until they are dead, I do not care how many people die, as long as Jake and Marcus are two of them.""They're going to kill you," Charles says. "I'll give them your regards, before I kill them," Jaha says before he removes the knife from Charles stomach and stabs it into his heart. He lets out a gasp as he falls to his back. His lifeless eyes staring up at the celling.

No one's P.O.V

Jaha stood in the control room. "The last of the prisoners are being loaded up," Diana tells Jaha who nods as he begins to speak. "People of the Ark, today is a day that will be remembered as the day our people went home. People have died for this to happen, but with their sacrifices, and all of your help, united we have made this day happen," Jaha says. On the other side of the Ark a door to the floating chamber shut. Fifteen guards stood inside the chamber. "I made this promise to you now, our people will know peace," Jaha says as the button is pushed and fifteen men fly in the darkness of space, their lives ended in less than a second. "Today is the day the human race returns home." Cheering could be hear all around the Ark, in the skybox in the dark interrgation room Charles Pike's lifeless eyes stared up at celling.

Thanks for reading, yes Pike is dead, he was never going to make it to the ground, I had no plans of him making it. I loved writing Pike in this story but the truth is, that he isn't needed on the ground for what is coming. Next chapter Jaha falls to the ground, Murphy and Wells talk with Raven and scouts are sent out. As always suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
