A DreamWorks version of Once Upon a Studio.
Inspired by the original short, as well as Once Upon a Studio: Pixar Edition by VickyT36, and Once Upon a Nickelodeon by MattCait2004 on YouTube.
Now like the original short, not every DreamWorks character from the films will speak. Use your imagination here, let it run wild like the original short did!

DreamWorks Studio:
Employees were leaving after a hard day's work.
"I just can't believe it's been 30 years since DreamWorks started making awesome stuff for us all to enjoy." a young female employee said.
"It's an impressive milestone for sure." an older male employee said. "We may not be Disney, but we still help make entertainment happen."
"It's what we all strive to do." the female employee smiled. "And it's fun!"
"Now come on, ya rapscallion, let's get outta here before they lock up." the male employee said.
And soon all the employees were gone. No sooner did the doors lock up, inside a picture, Shrek and Donkey moved their heads.
"Wait there Donkey." Shrek said, peering out of the picture. "PSSST! Hey! Is the coast clear?!" he whisper-shouted.
Four familiar penguins rolled up. "You bet your green skin it is, compadre!" Skipper replied.
"All employees have gone home and the cameras have been turned off." Kowalski added.
"So we're free to do the picture!" Private said happily.
Donkey gasped. "You hear that Shrek?! It's time!" he cheered.
Various characters in other pictures turned their heads, some jumping out,
"It's time?!" asked Po.
"It's time?!" gasped Melman.
"He just said it's time!" grinned Piranha.
"30th Anniversary photo!" cheered Poppy. "Come on, let's go take it!"
"Easy Poppy, we gotta be rational about this." said Branch.
"Who said anything about being rational?!" asked Marty.
"Come on, we're burning daylight!" said Link.
Various characters began to jump out of their pictures.
"Hey Skipper, go tell everyone upstairs to get ready!" said Alex.
"Alright men, time for Operation: Anniversary Photo!" Skipper told the penguins.
"Aye aye, Skipper!" Private saluted.
"Roger that!" said Kowalski.
"Alright!" Rico cheered.
The penguins rolled up the stairs.
"Come on everybody, it's picture time!" Skipper called. "No time for dilly dallying, let's get to it!"
More characters jumped out of their pictures.
Jack Frost rode a steam of ice out of his. "Alright, now were riding!" he cheered.
Hiccup rode Toothless down the hall. "Woo-hoo!" he cheered.
Orion rode on Dark, the latter being followed by Sweet Dreams, Sleep, Unexpected Noises, Insomnia, Quiet, and even Light.
"Don't let the sun go out just yet!" Dark joked to Light.
"Not planning on it for now!" Light joked back.
"Come on!" laughed Orion. "You both get to be in the same place for once!"
The Furious Five jumped down from a higher ledge and landed in Kung Fu poses.
"Wow! Those animals look so cool!" Hammy said giddily.
"He reminds me of Po." Monkey quipped to his pals.
"Yeah, but even Po's less chipper than him." said Viper.
"Most of the time." Tigress said, amused.
The Bad Guys then ran past them with money bags.
"Stop them!" shouted King Gristle as he skated after them. "They stole from the king!"
"Easy Grissy, they're just toying with you!" Bridget laughed as she skated behind him.
Susan/Ginormica carried many trolls in her hands.
"Thanks a lot for the lift, Giant Woman!" Guy Diamond sang.
"I'm always happy to help you little guys." Susan smiled.
"See? She's not a monster-monster." Poppy said to Viva.
"I suppose so." Viva said with a nervous smile at the giantess with white hair.
Tiny Diamond popped out of Guy Diamond's hair. "Question, Aunt Queen Poppy, are all the villains gonna be there?" he asked.
Case and point, Lord Farquaad, Tai Lung, The Toad, Le Frog, Titan, Pitch, and Francis E. Francis went past them.
"If they are, we'll keep an eye on them." Poppy replied.
"Evidently, the chances of them doing anything mischievous on this day are a million to one." Dr. Cockroach said, typing on a calculator as he walked by.
In another hall, Tip drove her flying car with her mom Lucy and cat Pig, alongside Penny, Paul, and Patty Peterson in the back who were hitching a ride.
"Man, wish I could fly that flying thing!" Thunk said in awe.
"Keep dreaming." Eep said, patting his shoulder.
In another hall, more characters jumped out of their photos to go down the hall.
"Come on, you all get movin'!" shouted Stella.
"Listen to her or your grandkids will stink!" teased Gloria.
"Coming through, one side, make way!" Barry shouted as he, his parents, and Adam buzzed past.
"AH! BEES!" Ginger squawked in fright, making her fellow chickens run around in fright.
"Least they have their heads on!" joked Tuffnut.
DuBois raised her saw, but Captain Underpants yanked it away, giving her a look.
Turbo raced past various other characters down the hall.
"Alright, picture time!" he cheered.
"Whoa, that snail is fast!" Lou and Penny said in unison.
"Slow and steady, wins the race!" Whiplash said as he, Chet, Smoove Move, Burn, Skidmark, White Shadow, and slithered slowly behind.
"Come on, there's no time to lose!" Kim-Ly yelled as she, Tito, Paz, Bobby, and Angelo picked them up to catch up with the others.
Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, and Perrito jumped down, the first two holding money bags.
"Nice of Ramses to let us 'borrow' his fortune." grinned Puss.
Zhen came up. "Say, mind if I get some of that loot?" she asked.
"Sorry, this is our haul." Kitty replied.
Zhen suddenly revealed their money began from behind her back. "That's ok, I'll just take this!" she laughed before bolting off.
The cats looked at their empty paws in surprise.
"Ooh, she's good!" Perrito beamed.
At a lounging area, Roxanne, Fairy Godmother, Humphrey Dumpty, Wallace, Stoick, Velvet, and Veneer were having noodle soup and various drinks as Mr. Ping served them up.
"I hope you're all enjoying the recipe!" Mr. Ping said as he squeezed some lemons into lemonade.
"Come on everyone, there's no time for refreshments right now!" Diane Foxington exclaimed.
"Oh that's right, the picture!" Roxanne gasped as they all got up and ran for the lobby.
The Bad Guys ran past Megamind and Minion.
"Stop those thieves!" shouted Gristle.
"I got this!" Megamind said as he used his dehydration gun and turned them all into ice cubes.
"You do know we have to unfreeze them, right?" Minion asked.
"Sure sure, right before the picture." Megamind replied, scooping them up.
Barb and the Rock n' Roll trolls rolled past the Gillman family.
"Going off the rails down to the lobby!" Barb sang.
"Wow! They're music is totally wicked!" Sam grinned, imitating playing a guitar.
"Gotta love his spirit!" commented Ruby.
Several were watching Ozzie and Heather perform on a mini-stage.
"Such lighteth brightens hence darkness and despair..." said Ozzie.
"Stray not from the path of lighteth. Walketh on ahead!" Heather said, raising a paw to the sky.
"They're so creative." Fiona said with a smile.
"And so dramatic." scoffed Velvet.
"You're one to talk." Veneer retorted.
Po suddenly burst in. "Hey come on, we gotta get our picture taken!" he yelled.
"Anniversary picture?! Forget the show!" Ozzie said as he and his daughter jumped off the stage and ran out the door past Po, everyone following.
In the men's room, Huy, Hotep, RJ, Joseph, Gobber the Belch, Peng, Rumplestiltskin, and Makunga were styling their hair and/or fur.
"We're playing with the big picture now…" said Huy.
"Freshening for the big picture now…" said Hotep.
"Oh yeah, I am making this work!" Peng grinned.
Donkey suddenly burst in.
"Hey all of you! Finish up obsessing over yourselves and get on downstairs!" he yelled before running out, almost trampling the ant colony.
"Hey, watch where you're running!" shouted Corporal Weaver.
More characters raced down the stairs.
"Giddy up girl!" Lucky said to Spirit as she rode her horse downstairs.
"It's almost time!" Tulio.
"Make way for the king!" Julien said as Maurice and Mort burst through carrying his throne.
"Watch out for fuzzy things!" yelp Oh, jumping out of the way.
"All hail King Julien!" Mort said happily.
"Sorry about this everyone!" Maurice apologized.
"More royalty, coming through!" Farquaad said as more royal members came past, including Harold, Lillian, King Peppy, Ramses, Gristle and Bridget - who had gotten their loot back - and Grandmamah Gillman via a wave.
"Now make way for the president!" President Hathaway shouted as he strutted past.
In a drawing room, Mr. Peabody was drawing as more characters passed by in the hall.
"Hey smart dog, get a move on!" said Guy.
"Yeah, or we'll have the picture without you, mutt!" said Mantis.
"I am a beagle, for your information." Mr. Peabody corrected as he drew. "And I always have time with the WABAC."
At that moment, the WABAC appeared out of thin air, blowing the papers away.
"Hi Mr. Peabody!" Sherman waved from the driver's seat.
"Right on time." the smart beagle said approvingly.
In an elevator, Wallace, Vitally, Pinktail, Jack Horner, and Narissa in her Chelsea form were having trouble getting downstairs.
"Why won't this stupid thing close and go down?!" Horner complained.
"I could punch the buttons!" Vitally suggested, cracking his knuckles.
"How about we don't destroy our transportation?" Pinktail suggested in a deadpan tone.
"Relax everyone, I brought someone to help." Gia said as she walked over with Tina.
The female boss baby jumped down and revealed a remote control. She pressed a button and electricity shot into the panel, charging up the elevator's power.
"And that's how it gets done." Tina boasted as she and Gia joined everyone in the elevator as it finally closed and went down.
Shrek, Po, and Alex walked together as they watched more characters come down to the lobby.
"I can't believe this is happening…" smiled Po.
"Yeah, all of us gathered for one big picture." said Alex.
"Why should those guys at Disney have all the fun?" added Shrek. "We may not be 100, but hey, an anniversary is an anniversary!"
"Then let's get ready for this!" said Po.
They joined the characters as more joined them.
Sinbad, Proteus, Marina, Kale, Rat, Luca, Jed, Jin, Li, Grum, and Chum swung down from ropes.
"Alright, perfect landing!" Sinbad boasted.
"Where did those ropes come from?" Adam wondered aloud.
"Coming down below!" Dave yelled as he splatted onto the floor.
"Watch it, octo-scientist!" yelped John Dory.
Monger and Classified approached Shrek. "Coast is clear, ogre friend." he said. "No one's outside those doors."
"We are clear for picture taking!" said Monger.
"You heard them, let's get outside!" said Shrek as he and Fiona opened the doors.
"Single file everyone, no pushing!" said Fiona added as everyone began to walk through.
"This is actually happening!" cheered Sam Gillman.
"We're minutes away!" cheered Tip.
"Come on, we're burning sunset!" said Yi.
Boom, Hype, Ablaze, and Trickee walked and whistled in unison.
"Wow, you guys are still in sync!" commented Astrid.
"Thanks!" the trolls said in unison.
Everest then pushed out a large tank filled with the sea characters.
"Hey, we could use some water here!" yelled Oscar.
"So dehydrated!" wheezed Lenny.
"Where's the kraken queen?!" wheezed Sykes. "We need water!"
"All the way upstairs!" Floyd exclaimed.
"Don't worry, we got someone who can help!" said Vanessa as Moses came up, wielding his staff.
"Behold… the power of god." said Moses.
Water suddenly rose up and filled the tank.
"Oh yes, finally!" Oscar said happily.
"That's the stuff!" Lenny said in relief.
"You, my friend, are a natural!" praised RJ.
Dragon, Toothless, and Light Fury flew down together, careful not to hit anyone as they landed.
Everyone was soon gathering together.
"Alright everyone, spread out!" said Fiona.
"Tallest and biggest in the back, smallest and shortest in the front, and everyone else in between!" said Poppy.
Everyone did what the princess and queen said. The biggest like Susan, Insectosaurus, Dragon, Eris, Everest, and Grandmama in the back, the smallest like Poppy, Branch, Z, Turbo, RJ, and Verne in the front, and everyone else in between. Barry, Janet, Martin, Mooseblood, Adam, Lou Lo Duca, Colonel Cutter, and Tooth Fairy flew in the air. The aquatic characters popped out behind the tank in the back so they could be seen.
"Watch the fur, Vincent!" said Hiccup.
"One side, for the smallest!" said Clay.
"It's easy to fly above you!" Barry buzzed.
Megamind hydrated the cubes that were the bad guys.
"Ugh, finally!" Snake hissed.
"I felt so… tiny…" said Shark.
"After you, little bug friends friends." Shrek said politely to the ants and their friends, who smiled in return. He then spotted a familiar boy with a fishing pole. "And you as well, little fishing boy."
The DreamWorks fishing boy smiled as he too took his spot, watching his fishing pole.
"That appears to be everyone here." Roz whirred.
"The robot's right! From the ants to the wild machines, we're all accounted for." nodded Kowalski.
"That means it's time!" Private said excitedly.
"Smile and wave everyone!" said Skipper.
"Alright, let's do this thing!" Ted said, rubbing his hands together in excitement as Tim held him.
"By the way, who is taking the picture?" asked Roddy.
A familiar laugh was heard as B.O.B. rolled by with a camera and carrying a ladder.
"You have got to be kidding me…" Tai Lung grunted.
"Oh boy…" Branch groaned.
"This oughta be something." quipped Kitty.
B.O.B. set down the ladder and began to climb up.
"Alright, I got the flash camera thing, let's do this!" he said.
"Something's gonna go wrong, I know it." said Wolf.
B.O.B. went up to the top.
"Okay, how do you work this weird thing…?" he murmured, fiddling with the camera.
"B.O.B., be careful with that!" warned Po.
"What's this, the flashy thing?" the indestructible gelatinous mass said as he turned the camera around.
"My tail is tingling…" warned Verne.
B.O.B. made the camera face him.
"B.O.B., not that way!" shouted
"Oh, here we go!" Snake grinned.
"In 5, 4, 3, 2…" Barb counted down.
"Does this thing-" B.O.B. was cut off when the camera went off with a bright flash. "AH MY EYE!" B.O.B. yelped, dropping the camera as he fell off the ladder.
The camera landed on the ground with a smash, the ladder smashing it further.
Everyone groaned in a mixture of sadness and annoyance.
"Oh for the love of Pete!" groaned Shrek.
"Not the camera!" groaned Marty.
"Well that's just great!" shouted Fink, facepawing.
"Who's idea was it to have B.O.B. take the picture again?" Gristle asked.
"Grissie!" Bridgett hissed.
"I'm okay!" B.O.B. said as he got up from being a puddle. "I'm o-"
He was cut off when the ladder tipped onto him.
"Well I guess this was all for nothing." Webs growled.
"Guess we have to wait another 30 years." muttered Crane.
"After all that planning…" Cooper said sadly, Prince D trying to comfort his brother.
"Everyone back inside…" sighed Agatha.
Everyone began to make their way back inside the studio.
"Wait, guys, come on don't go back in!" pleaded Po.
"We can still have this photo!" said Alex.
"How?! The camera is destroyed!" said Grandmama.
"The picture is ruined!" said Spruce.
"What's the point anymore?" Melman asked sulkily.
"What's the point? What's the point?!" Shrek growled in disbelief.
"Shrek, easy." Fiona warned.
"Calm yourself, Señor." warned Puss.
Shrek took a few deep breaths. "You're right, you're right." he said. "Come on everyone, we can't just give up like this!"
"Shrek's right!" said Alex. "So what if the camera's destroyed? We can always find a way!"
"Exactly! Disney did!" said Po. "We may not be Disney, but we are still awesome in our own ways!"
"We may not have been around for over 100 years, but we are still great!" Poppy said in agreement as she hopped onto Shrek's shoulder.
"Yousee? Even the wee little troll queen agrees! So why leave ourselves in the dumps?" said Shrek. "We're still great! Our stories, our adventures, they're what everyone loves!"
Poppy jumped off as Shrek held Fiona close before they both picked up Fergus, Farkle, and Felicia.
"Exactly! Why should we give up? No one ever gave up on us!" said Alex.
"We have all accomplished many things, more than just one picture!" said Po. "And if we can do all of that, then we can do this too!"
Every DreamWorks character looked at each other. One by one, smiles grew upon their faces.
"They're right! They are all right!" said Diane.
"Why should we give up now?" asked Jack Frost.
"It's only one picture!" said Li Shan.
"One of the best pictures in history!" corrected Arthur.
"Let's not go crazy now." said Mr. Peabody, thinking of his adventures through time.
"Wise words have never been spoken with such confidence and modesty." smiled Oogway.
"Well put, Master Oogway." said Shifu. "Come on, let's get this picture!"
Everyone cheered as they all gathered together once more.
"Wait, what about the camera?" asked Agatha.
"I know just the guy to help!" said Donkey, looking at someone in the crowd.
Merlin stepped forward.
"Allow me!" he said, waving his hands around and magic swirled around them.
"What a showoff." Spirit whispered to Gromitt who snickered.
The camera was immediately put back together.
"Ha ha! Success!" Merlin grinned as he used his magic to lift the camera up into the air. "Alright, let's try this again!"
"Smile, everyone! Smile!" said Donkey.
"Yes! Second time's the shot!" said Po.
"Let's do this!" said Alex.
"Together." Shrek said with a genuine smile as he held his wife close and they both held their triplets closer.
And every hero, villain, and more stood together with big smiles on their faces as the picture was taken, celebrating 30 years of DreamWorks.

Hope you all liked this! Took me a while to scour through all the DreamWorks films from Antz to The Wild Robot for the characters, but I hope it was good! I know it's not like the original, although nothing will top the original.
