Sketch 18:

The next day, at Defteen Records...

Britina and her backup dancers are rehearsing for a concert tour. They're wearing mostly white dresses and purple high heels.

There's a spotlight over Britina. The lights are otherwise off onstage.

Britina is singing, "the shadows had been closing in. I saw ahead a glimpse of them. And, they don't know I brought the light to fight the shadows."

This Britina song is called Fight the Shadows.

Lasers start dancing around her and her backup dancers. She and her backup dancers dance like the lasers aren't even there.

Britina keeps singing, "it's only me and my light... Never really alone. It's only me and my light... Hope in the mirror. It's only me and my light... And I'm going to shine through it all! Makes me that much stronger... Makes me work harder... Makes me that much happier... Thanks for making my light all the...brighter!"

Suddenly... Some of the backup dancers call out, "fire! ! Oh god! ! Put it out! ! Put it out! !"

A bodyguard uses a fire extinguisher to put out fires on some of the backup dancers's hair. Another bodyguard flips a few switches.

The lights come on.

And... It becomes clear this wasn't a typical rehearsal.

There are now turned off self activating lasers. Cheese sculptures of Rufus and of Britina are melting down from the laser fire.

A third bodyguard uses a fire extinguisher to quickly put out the fire starting to come from the melted cheese covering the dress Britina is wearing.

Her backup dancers have dresses with holes and cheese drips. They storm off the stage in frustration.

With mixed feelings... Britina remarks, "I'm sorry Rufus. But, I think this new dance routine of yours is too hot for you or me to touch."

Rufus is in a mostly dark blue little director's chair. He awkwardly murmurs uh-huh.

With a awkward smile... Britina tries to assure, "I still think you're cool. But... Maybe this job isn't a good fit for you. You know?"

On the first part? She lightly pets Rufus.

With a slight grin... Rufus more lightly goes, "yep."

And... Britina smiles some at that.
