ONE'S JUSTICE
CHAPTER FOUR
Chapter 4: Ken Vs. Mirko
Flashback…
He had never been one to be afraid of anything.
Not of his mum.
Not of the villains he beat down.
Not of that creepy ass thing they called a Nomu.
No matter what he faces he always felt he'd be confident enough to face it head on.
But for the first time in his life, he was experiencing fear.
AFO chuckled as he flew above everyone like they were ants to him. He looked down at the destruction he had so easily caused. At the heroes that were knocked all over the place.
Ken stood his ground as he looked up at the villain, trying his best to muster a glare but it didn't work due to the fear he was feeling.
He could sense Izuki, Momo, Shoto, Kirishima and Iida not too far away and, he could sense their fear. He was wondering what the fuck they were doing here but right now he had to make sure this villain didn't notice them.
"O-oi!" He yelled out at the villain gaining the man's attention.
"Ah…there's still one of you." The masked villain said as he faced him landing on the ground. "And it's you. It's finally nice to meet you, Ken Nagato."
'How did this guy know my name?'
"Alas, I have no interest in you now." He said pointing his palm out at him just as the L.O.V. appeared through some kind of sludge like portals. "I'll come for you soon enough."
The next thing he knew, he was sent flying by a massive blast of pressurized air, knocking him unconscious.
Flashback Over…
Osaka, Japan
"You know this could be a trap right?" Nagant said with frown as she stared at the other two people with her.
"Of course he knows that." Curious was the one to answer her, the blue skinned smiling before looking at the boy with her. "You know that right?"
Ken sighed. "Of course I know that. I'm not an idiot." He had used the sensory ability his quirk to see if there anyone in the building and apparently there wasn't. Still he wouldn't underestimate AFO or Shigaraki to have some kind of trap planned for him.
"Si what's the plan boss?" Curious asked with a smile. Nagant frowned as she once again wondered how this guy had managed to convince a former member of the now destroyed Meta Liberation Army to join him and his little group.
"The two of you will stay on the look out, if you see any heroes or anything suspicious, alert me immediately." Ken said looking at the large mansion not too far from him. "I'll be heading in alone."
"Alone?" Nagant asked. "This is obviously a trap and you want to go in there alone? What if you'll need help?"
"I won't ."
"But…"
"You heard the boss Kaina…" The way Curious said her name caused her to growl lowly.
"If anything happens to me, I need you two to get out of here. Got that?" The two women nod. With that the three separated, Ken blasting off towards the mansion.
Steeling his nerves, he opened the door, coming face to face with nothing but utter darkness and an empty room. Before he could do anything else, the room suddenly lit up causing him to ready himself.
"Why am I not surprised?" He said to himself in a sarcastic tone before looking around noticing that the room was completely empty, save for a large TV at the wall by the end
"Alright then." He said walking towards the TV watching as it suddenly turned on and a familiar face appeared on the TV screen. Although it was not the one he expected.
"Finally, you came Kenny-kun!!"
"Toga?" the Now that surprised him.
"You remembered me. I'm so happy "
"Where's Shigaraki?" Ken asked the blonde psycho who just scoffed before looking another direction.
"We haven't seen each other in so long and the first thing you ask is about Shiggy." She said with a pout which suddenly turned to a grin noticing the vigilante was getting annoyed. "Shiggy's busy so he asked me to talk to you, I'm so happy he did. How've you been?"
"Busy with what?" He couldn't help but ask.
"Can't tell you that."
Ken sighed. "Anyway, Shiggy told me to send you his regards." Ken noticed her grin growing wider making her look like a mad cat.
He was about to say something before TV went dark. Gritting his teeth he smashed the TV screen, growling out in frustration.
"Dammit…" He grunted out before signing. This was a dead end. What a waste of time. At least this place didn't blow up like the last one.
BOOM!!
Minutes Later…
"Hey boss, still alive down there?" Curious asked through the communicator. He grunted as he lifted a rubble off of him. Of course the place had to just fucking explode.
"Yeah yeah." He answered with an annoyed sigh as he looked at the flaming remains of the mansion.
"What the heck happened in there?" Nagant asked. Ken was about to answer when he suddenly sensed something that caused his eyes to widen in shock.
"Shit! Nagant, Curious, get outta here now!"
"Eh?!" Both women responded confused by the order.
"Leave now you two." He said turning towards a random direction. "Can't have you two get caught up in this."
"In what…" Ken cut her off by turning off the communicator. "Dammit! Of all the people. You've got to be kidding me!"
The universe was certainly not kidding with him because suddenly from high above someone came slamming down at him with a powerful axe kick that was aimed at his head but he raised his right arm, forming an energy shield to block the devastating kick. He knees buckled from the force as he stood his ground feeling the earth beneath him crumble and crater. The force from the kick rattled his limb as a crater formed underneath him.
'Mirko.'
"Finally found you!" The rabbit hero shouted out as she flipped backwards, landing on her feet as she flared at him. "Ya damn brat!"
Flashback…
"I didn't need your help." Mirko said with a loud grunt glaring at the boy as he sent whips of pure energy wrapping around the now knocked out thugs.
"They're not worth your time so I took them down for you." Ken said with a grin as he faced his superior. "Besides they were wasting our time, we still haven't had our match yet."
"You seem pretty confident little man." Mirko said with a large smirk. "You don't think you can really take me one can you?"
"Oh I know I can…" He mirrored her smirk. "What? Don't tell me the great Mirko is afraid of a brawl."
"Damn brat! Alright then, you asked for it!"
Flashback Over…
'Why did it have to be Mirko? Damn you Tomura!'
She didn't seem angry. He was sure that if looks could kill he'd be disintegrated by now.
"So you thought you could just run around doing all this crazy shit you've been doing!" Mirko shouted at him. "You have a lot to answer for and I'm gonna make sure you do right after a serious beat down!e finished crouching down.
"Who tipped you off?" Ken asked with a deadpanned tone. A tone that seemed to piss to woman off as her glare intensified.
Instead of answering him, she lunged at him, delivering a powerful kick to his head. A kick that he had caught rather easily.
Blazing red eyes met cold blue eyes as the two stared at each other. Ken threw her away from him but she landed and quickly blasted towards him again
Blazing red eyes met cold blue eyes as the two stared at each other. Ken threw her away from him but she landed and quickly blasted towards him again throwing punches and jabs at him.
Ken dodged every one of them, countering a few before ducking under a kick, delivering an uppercut at the woman's abdomen, sending her skidding backwards.
"Run along Mirko." Ken said in a dismissive tone that further angered her. "I don't wish to fight you."
"Well then…" She cracked her knuckles. "…you don't really have a choice." She finished lunging at him again.
A jab, a hook and an uppercut.
All three dodged. Ken swayed passed all three not caring much as they merely passed him by. As she threw her attacks, she was also observing him.
He had gotten better, way better than he was when she last saw him. He didn't have any fighting stance but she knew he was no amateur.
"Guh!" She exclaimed, doubling over with a grunt as she held her stomach. She coughed up a few droplets of blood. Her eyes widened in shock. One hit. One hit that was faster than she could follow.
She looked up to glare at the vigilante only to receive an explosive kick to her chin sending her flying to the heavens.
Still airborne, she managed to raise her fists to block a flaming fist to the face that sent her crashing violently against the ground like a vengeful god.
"D-dammit…" She growled as she rubbed off the blood from her busted lips facing the man as he landed in front of her.
"Is that all you got? I expected more from the great Mirko."
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!"
He didn't bother trying to dodge the incoming fist to his face. He just stood there and took the powerful punch like it was nothing. His head moving slightly to the side. Mirko's eyes widened as he turned his head back to face her.
He grabbed her arm and once again sent her flying with a powerful punch to the face that had her seeing stars. Slamming harshly into a mountain, she spat out a tooth and she struggled to get out of the Mirko shaped crater she had formed.
He didn't let her though.
She gasped in pain once again and they flew through the mountain, his fist smashed onto her stomach with more powerful force than before. She tumbled and rolled across the dirty ground before forcing herself to her feet, panting and glaring at him.
"Just stop Mirko. You can't beat me…"
Mirko didn't give him time to continue as she once again lunged at him and sent a kick his way. He caught it, raised her up above him and smashed her hard again the ground, cratering it.
Rock and stone burst from her lunging again as she slammed a fist to his chest, he skidded back slightly caught off guard by the punch.
"Hmph, I remember when that used to hurt."
Bastard.
She thought angrily as she whaled on him, everything around her dissolving into a friendlies blur.
'Tch…enough of this.' He thought as he decided to meet one of her blows with his own.
Fists, both gloved, for the first time collided harshly against each other knuckle to knuckle.
And then she felt it. The bones in her right arm buckled violently before breaking apart, rendering the arm useless.
"Ah shit…" She hissed as the limb drooped down at her side. It was not the first time she had broken a limb before but it didn't make it any less painful.
She growled as she saw the expression on his face.
That same cold stare.
That deadpan expression as he looked down at her.
'The hell is with that face?!'
She remembered back in the day, he was an idiotic kid full of life but now…
…it was like looking at another person entirely.
"Gah, oww!!" She groaned out as his left fist thundered towards her face, breaking her nose. "That hurt you brat!"
"It was supposed to." He said simply as she fixed her nose. Growling loudly at the attitude, she swung her remaining good arm at him, throwing attacks that he either dodged or blocked with ease.
No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't land a hit on him and before she knew she couldn't even throw a punch anymore as he broke her other arm.
'Dammit, he's got me…' She thought as a flaming fist thundered towards her chest, breaking some of her ribs. 'I can't even throw a punch and he's not giving me any time to think or use my feet.' A kick caught her on the chin sending her upwards before she crashed, once again in the broken ground.
He walked up to her, his fist coated with blue energy as he raised his fist, seemingly prepared to deliver an attack.
She tensed as she prepared for the hit.
A bit that never came.
"That's enough Mirko-san." He said cancelling the attack and drawing back his fist. "You've lost."
That was all he said as he turned his back on her and began to walk away.
No.
"W-wait…" She groaned weakly as she slowly and painfully got on her feet. "T-this isn't over…"
"It is..."
"W-why?"
"Hmm?" Ken looked towards her wondering what she was asking.
"Why are you doing all this?" She asked wanting to know what had caused her only student to turn out this way. Ken sighed as he sent one last look her way before turning his back on her and said.
"Just following my instincts."
With that said, he blasted off leaving the beaten and broken hero alone.
HPSC HQ
"So let me get this straight." She said as she stared at the two people in front of her, both injured and bandaged up. "You couldn't capture him?"
Samui did her best to hold a yawn as she and Hiro stood in front of the HPSC. She hated these meetings as they were both boring and at times unnecessary.
'Boring.' Hiro thought with a sigh.
"No." She answered simply. "He was too powerful for us."
"Kicked both our asses."
"Damn it all." One of the old farts exclaimed loudly. "I knew I should have sent one of the top ranking heroes instead of those two."
"A sound idea." The President said as she turned towards him. "But you know how they all feel about that brat, they wouldn't have gotten the job done."
"And now he knows we sent them. This could backfire on us."
The two of them sighed as they stared at the old farts bickering at each other as they always did when things weren't going their way.
"He also asked me to send you a message." Samui said gaining their attention. "He said 'Come after me again, and he'll break you.'" She finished.
"Was that a threat?" A woman asked her and she shrugged. Not like she knew.
Eventually, after they were dismissed, the two walked down one of the many hallways in the HQ thinking amongst themselves.
"What do you think?" Hiro asks.
"They're just a bunch of old fools." Samui said. "We've done our part, now we'll just wait for him."
Several HoursLater, Yokohama Hospital…
"Mirko, what the hell happened?!" Endeavor asked as he barged into the room that the bandaged up bunny hero rested.
She looked up at him with an angry expression on her face. "I got my ass beat, that's what!" She huffed while crossing her arms. "Quite easily too."
Endeavor his his surprise when she said that. "How did this happen?!"
"Found the brat at the mountain side of the city and fought him of course." She growled. "He's now one tough bastard I tell ya!"
"How did you even find him?!" They had been trying to find him for almost a year now but he always evaded them.
Mirko gained a thoughtful expression on her face. "Oh yeah. Some weird guy dropped an anonymous tip, no idea who it was."
That alarmed him.
Someone tipped her off.
"Can I see this message?" He asked in a firm tone and she nodded. He turned to head out before stopping right in front of the door. "D-did you notice anything about him?"
Mirko sat comfortably on the bed silent for a few moments.
"I don't know what's going through that head of his, but he's not the same kid as before."
Endeavor growled lowly, accepting the answer before walking out the door.
Flashback…
BAM!
Endeavor hit the ground hard and he held onto the bruise that had formed on his cheek. He hadn't expected that hit at all from the kid.
Looking up at said kid he was met with a harsh glare from those electric blue eyes of his.
"So you just plan on walking away. Is that it?"
Endeavor wanted to answer but Ken didn't let him. "I don't want to hear anymore of that crap. If there's one thing I don't like, it's a coward." He said as he walked up to the man and lifted him up by the scruff if his shirt. "You messed up and I'm happy you've realized that but you don't just walk away now. You be a Man and face the consequences of your actions."
"You werenta father before, be one now before it's too late."
Flashback Over…
'I owe him a lot.' He thought as he walked out of the hospital. 'I refuse to give up on him.'
Shibuya, Japan.
Ken grinned.
It wasn't a normal one.
It was a very malicious one.
One you'd see mostly one the face of a villain.
His grin widened as he stared down at the hidden mansion below him Finally, he had found them. It has taken a while but he finally found them.
And he wasn't gonna let any of them escape.
Anyway, that's anothr done. Hooe you enjoyed it. Next focuses back on Eri.
Till then, Read and Review.
And you do, share the story with others.
Peace.
