The Writing Sauce: "Good Chapter! I like your backstory for Bambietta. It's kind of similar to how I wrote her in prince of light. I also love your world building as well. I cant wait for Bambietta to meet Uryu!"
Thank you. I'm actually a pretty big fan of your stories, and the Prince of Light was one my main inspirations for making this story, so it does mean a lot to me. And in regard to Uryu, I have some pretty major plans for his dynamic with Bambietta since their ideologies conflict with one anothers in an interesting way.

Oh they will each have a massive influence on one another. Can't wait for y'all to see how their dynamics develop throughout the story (especially in the Fullbringer arc and TYBW when I reach it)
The bell rang which indicated the end of the final period. Bambietta sighed in relief before going towards Tatsuki's room to meet up with her. She got their and waited for Tatsuki to come out since her class was being held up for some reason. Eventually though the door opened up which release a stream of students into the hall way.
"Took you long enough. What kept you guys held up for so long?" Bambietta asked once Tatsuki met up with her.
"Some boys were being dumbasses and the entire class was held up because of them." Tatsuki replied in annoyance.
"I think you should have literally knocked some sense into them one way or another." Bambietta said jokingly.
"I wish I could, but unfortunately I doubt my teachers would approve." Tatsuki said in a disappointed tone. Bambietta genuinely couldn't tell whether or not her disappointment was real, but it'd be funnier if Tatsuki genuinely did want to knock some sense into a few fools so she chose to believe that her disappointment was genuine.
They talked as they strolled through the halls. "What are you gonna do for Ichigos birthday?" Tatsuki asked.
"I plan on getting a birthday cake later, but other than that maybe we all can go out to that arcade that's opening later this weekend." Bambietta said. "Oh and do you know if he's doing anything with his family?" Bambietta asked her.
"I talked to him about it earlier and apparently he's planning on spending it with his family." Mizuiro said before Tatsuki could respond as he approached them from down the hall.
"How do you know that when we don't?" Bambietta questioned.
"By directly asking him what he's doing for his birthday. I don't know why neither of you thought of doing that yourselves." Mizuiro teased. Bambietta wanted to clap back at him with a snarky response, but she couldn't since Mizuiro was technically in the right in this situation.
"Whatever." Bambietta said.
"In which case maybe we can drop off some gifts for him." Tatsuki said.
"I already got him one." Mizuiro interjected.
"I got him some shonen jump issues and a few pretty cool toys. Can you two drop them off for me? I can't make it to his house on Friday since my family planned a vacation as soon as school ends." Mizuiro asked as he took out his bag.
"School only ends like a day before his birthday. Can't you just give it to him then?" Bambietta asked.
"Probably but I think it'd be more impactful if he got it on his birthday." Mizuiro explained to them. Bambietta didn't really see agree with his reasoning since she thinks it'd be better for him to do it face to face, but no the less she agreed to help him out anyways.
"Yeah, sure." She said as she took Mizuiros gifts and put them in her bag.
"Thanks. See you guys later." Mizuiro said as he left them.
"What do you think we should get?" Bambietta asked Tatsuki as they continued walking towards the main entrance of the school.
"Hmm. I don't really know anything that Ichigos real interested in. If Mizuiro already got him some toys then maybe we can get him some clothes. You can't go wrong with that. I'll pick up the clothes and you'll get the cake that you were talking. Tatsuki explained.
"Sounds fine to me." Bambietta replied as they walked out the building were Ichigo was waiting.
Ichigo waved at them as they approached him. "How are you guys?" Ichigo asked when they reached him. "My day was pretty much fine, but I got held up in my class during the last period because of some morons." Tatsuki said annoyance was evidently still irritated by those few kids who held her up. Bambiettas belief that she genuinely did want to beat sense into them became more and more likely with each minute.
"I got my last test of the year graded, but that's it really. Every class is basically a free period now." Bambietta answered boredly. Bambietta questioned why she even bothered to show up this week since she knew they wouldn't be doing anything for the last handful of days.
"Lucky you. I still had a test today. I don't even know how she plans on grading all of our tests within two days, or why we even had a test since grading closed already." Ichigo responded.
"I mean since grading closed does it even matter what you get on the test?" Said Tatsuki.
"Now that you mention it I'm pretty sure that I didn't do well on the test, so I guess I'm lucky that grading closed already. Right after Ichigo said this a car pulled of the school entrance.
"Well, got to go. Bye guys." Tatsuki said before going over to the car. Ichigo and Bambietta left the school ground right after
They walked alongside each other since Ichigo's home is en route to Bambiettas apartment.
"My final test was on Monday, and it actually was graded, so I guess you were the lucky one after all." Bambietta replied smugly.
"As if tests are an issue to you." Ichigo replied scoffingly.
"That last one sure as hell was." Bambietta said in irritation. She was getting aggravated just by getting reminded of it.
"God, that test was so annoying. I mean how the hell am I supposed to know what innovations the Yayoi brought to Japan? I'm pretty sure we didn't even go over that." Bambietta complained.
"Didn't you still like a 97 on the final test in that class? I mean that's what you told me yesterday." Ichigo persisted.
"Yeah? And?"
"You might be the only person in existence to get an A and then still complain about it." Ichigo claimed as he looked in the opposite direction from Bambietta while she snickered in response to Ichigo's words. Ichigo realized that he'd incite Bambiettas wrath if he pushed his luck any further especially since she was already irritated as is from bringing up that shitty test. He suspected that the main reason she hadn't actually done anything about Ichigos remark was because Ichigo acknowledged her academic success as well. Genuinely though he has no idea why she was getting so worked up over one test that she still nearly aced. Bambietta spent their entire walk home complaining about it the day prior, and it still annoyed her?
"What I'm trying to say is I don't see why it's this serious. Even if that test was bullshit, you still nearly got the best score in the class" Ichigo elaborated.
Bambietta sighed in response. "Whatever" she said in disappointment.
"Oh, by the way did you hear that they're opening a new arcade downtown in a few hours?" Ichigo said.
Bambietta raised an eyebrow and looked over at him. "It opened already? I could have sworn it wasn't opening until later this week."
"They pushed up the date of the opening according to Mizuiro. He said Keigo and him plan on going to the opening."
"Maybe we can check it out some other time. It's already gonna be chaotic enough since it's the opening day and Keigos going too? Yeah I'll pass for now." Bambietta said in a deadpan tone.
Ichigo chuckled in response.
"What's so funny?" Bambietta asked in a combination of annoyance and genuine confusion.
"It's just ironic because you get even more hyper than Keigo does when you're excited?" Ichigo explained
"Huh?! No I don't!" Bambietta pouted as she stopped in her tracks.
"Ok, ok I take it back." Ichigo said defensively.
"You better." Bambietta said in a demanding tone which didn't at all fit her small stature, but Ichigo knew not to say this out loud since her small stature becomes a lot less amusing when she's genuinely mad. Getting Bambietta pissed off might be the single most risky thing anyone can do. Bambietta continued to follow behind Ichigo until they eventually made it back to his house. Ichigo waved goodbye to her and Bambietta acknowledged him with a nod before leaving.
Instead of making her way home like she usually does she headed downtown instead. She walked to a bakery that she was familiar with and ordered a chocolate cake with white frosting. Even though Ichigo didn't visibly display it to anyone anymore Bambietta knew that his mothers death was still weighing on him, so she's been trying for the past few months to alleviate it however she can for the sake of her mission. Once she paid for the cake she carefully headed back home trying not to run the risk of any accidents happening. She made it home without any interruptions and entered the silent apartment.
Quilge wasn't here; he was waiting for her to show up to the Verborhen Feld. After Bambietta put the cake in the fridge she quickly went into the room and switched into her Quincy garb. She already had on her Voll Stern Dich necklace and Quincy cross which she always kept on, so she didn't have to go out of her way to put that on. Bambietta took her traditional Quincy shoes out of the closet and put them on. It still felt weird to her even though she's trained with Quilge in them several times by this point. She still massively preferred the boots which came with her Sternritter uniform. After she finished tying them Bambietta flashed out of the house with hirenkyaku and quickly arrived at the warehouse which contained the Verborhen Feld. This time she leaked no reiatsu whatsoever due to her massively improved reishi control. Since that one training session which allowed Bambietta to fully control her reiatsu she had been training with Quilge to hone her Quincy reishi subjugation skills. Quilge said that proper reishi subjugation was a prerequisite for using the Voll Stern Dich which he said she would be starting to learn today since he considered her reishi subjugation, blut and reiatsu control skills adequate.
Since it's been a while since they last trained she was expecting for Quilge to 'evaluate' her again which Bambietta certainly wasn't looking forward to. She wasn't surprised to see that the Verborhen Feld was unsealed. Quilge was already there when she entered the Verborhen Feld for who knows how long.
"Ah, Basterbine. I've been expecting you." Quilge said ominously as he pushed up his glasses.
"Today marks your most important advancement as a Sternritter because you will begin your training to unlock and properly utilize the Voll Stern Dich, the pinnacle of Quincy power and innovation!" Quilge said proudly. Quilge was one of the leading engineers for the Voll Stern Dich, so the technique was a source of pride for him.
"But first you must warm up. You can choose to either open your blut vene throughout your entire body at A-1 proficiency for three sets of thirty seconds or you can use it at B-2 proficiency for five minutes straight. Quilge was speaking in terms of the recently revised blut ranking system which had multiple grades with three echelons each. 1 was the top echelon of a grade, 2 was the middle echelon and 3 was the bottom echelon. The recently updated grades ranged from S grade to F grade.
S Grade was the schutzstaffel grade. Only the strongest of all Quincies can use blut for extended periods of time at this level. Not even Quilge can use S-3 blut for longer than a minute at max.
A grade was the high Sternritter grade. The upper echelon of regular Sternritters were proficient at using blut at these levels for extended periods of time such as Quilge and Bazz B for instance. Quilge once told Bambietta that he intends for her to become fully proficient at using A-1 blut for extended periods of time like he does himself before his Majesty regains his strength.
B grade was the regular Sternritter grade. Most Sternritters are proficient at using blut on this level, and Bambietta herself had recently mastered using B-1 blut for several minutes on end.
C grade was the elite Soldat grade used by the best soldiers and Sternritter prospects. Being proficient at Blut on this level is required to become a Sternritter.
All the lower grades are irrelevant to Bambietta with the only things worth noting is that E grade is the level of proficiency that all Echt Quincy or naturally born with, and that his Majesty is an exception to the system and his blut scales well above it. There's also the plus grades like A which was made solely because of the boost provided by the Voll Stern Dich which necessitated the creation of the plus grades.
"I'll do the blut training at A-1 level." Bambietta said. This was the same level that Quilge used. She didn't choose to use blut at B-2 even though it would be much less strenuous since the A-1 warm up would end much quicker, and Bambietta was admittedly excited by the prospect of learning Voll Stern Dich. Quilge grinned at her choice "You begin and end when I say. With that being said you may start now."
Bambietta activated her blut at A-1 proficiency. It was difficult for her to use the high amount of reishi required to utilize blut at A-1 level and simultaneously keep her powers under control as well, but she had enough power and skill to get through the first set easily enough. Bambietta had enough time to catch her breath and recuperate before Quilge told her to activate her blut again. It was difficult but Bambietta managed it again, and she made it though the third set without any issues as well which pleased Quilge.
"Now then. Onto your reshi subjugation warm up." Quilge said condescendingly. Similar to the blut system there was a reishi subjugation grading system which worked nearly identically to it's blut counterpart. Quilge himself was at the top level of the highest grade due to having some of the best reishi subjugation capabilities within the Wandenreich.
"A short reminder that while blut is circulating your own Reishi throughout your body, reishi subjugation is pulling the surrounding reishi towards yourself. Envision reishi subjugation as the gravitational pull of an immensely dense object. A Quincy can naturally pull reishi towards themselves in a similar manner, and generally the more powerful a Quincy the better they are at Reishi subjugation although there are techniques which enhance one's reishi subjugation skills even further as I do. I've already taught you the core three techniques. Can you reiterate them to me?" Quilge asked.
"The exchange method. This method is the most popular and the simplest. It works by exerting our reshi in order to increase our natural reishi attraction capabilities which is why it's an exchange. We give up energy to gain energy. The way to make the most out of this method is to find the best ratio of attracted reishi to emitted reishi to maximize its efficiency. The main strength of the technique is that it increases in effectiveness overtime. As we build up more energy we can continuously raise the output of our emissions and thus the strength of our subjugation as well. This can persist as long as the environment allows it." Bambietta explained plainly. Quilge was glad to hear that Bambietta had fully picked up and understood what he had been teaching her. This is the technique that's usually used to instantly manifest reishi constructs with the assistance of the Quincy cross.
"The next technique is reishi resonation and it works in tandem with the exchange technique. The main skill with this technique is the absorptive capability of our reishi. The exchange technique is impractical if our emitted reishi can't properly attract the surrounding reishi which is why this technique works in tandem with it. This technique involves selectively altering the composition and properties of our own Reishi so that it will 'resonate' with the external environment which would increase the natural attraction capability of the emitted reishi. Similarly to blut this is a skill that has multiple tiers of effectiveness based how much the emitted reishi resonates with the environment. This skill also requires that the Quincy identifies and adapts to the surrounding environment since the reishi composition of an area isn't always the same. The ability to modify our own reishi is directly tied to our reiatsu control capability as well which makes proper reiatsu control a prerequisite to effective reishi resonation and thus the exchange method as well."
"The third technique is the field manipulation technique. The way this technique works is by channeling our spiritual power either deeper inward or outward from its natural state. This can either make the natural subjugation field larger but less powerful or smaller and more powerful. It's up to the individual Quincy to decide which version is better to use in any given scenario. All three techniques put together allow us to far exceed our natural biological absorption that comes naturally to us." Quilge nodded in approval.
"So you remember everything that I've taught you. Good. For this exercise I will test all three of these skills. Your objective is simple. Absorb the required amount of reishi each round. Put this on. It will record how much reishi you absorb and its composition, so I'll know if you cheat." Bambietta put on the glove-like device before Quilge continued.
"I'll emit my own reishi and you'll simply absorb it. Meet the required amount for the round before the timer runs out then you win. However, I'll progressively manipulate my own reishi to make this task more difficult for you. You may start when your glove beeps." Bambietta nodded to him.
Soon after her glove beeped which indicated for her to start. She started emitting her own reishi to absorb his and she was quickly able to make her own reishi resonate with Quilges which caused them to be more intensely attracted toward her, and then Bambietta narrowed her pull range as well which made her Reishi subjugation more powerful. She was quickly able to meet the demand that the glove displayed and win the round. Bambietta smugly grinned in response and suddenly the glove beeped again.
This time Quilges Reishi was modified to be much more difficult for Bambietta to resonate with and it was spread out more to reduce the effectiveness of her pull. Bambietta had decided to expanded the range of her pull before emitting much higher amounts of reishi than last time, but noticed that the gloves screen was going into the negatives. Quilge never said that she couldn't enter a deficit to win the round? Bambietta redirected her efforts into resonating with his Reishi with some success. Due to her increased range she was able to encapsulate all of his reishi, and as soon as she did she started to narrow her range. This caused the reishi to be pulled towards her and she had resonated enough to absorb his reishi at a decent rate which allowed her to just barely complete the warm up on time.
"This is the final round." Quilge said.
Bambiettas glove beeped. Their was no set time limit. Quilge once again emitted his reishi, but this time it was exceedingly difficult to resonate with it, and she knew she couldn't just expend more energy to exchange it either since she would be at a deficit if she did. Bambietta tried to think more abstractly and ultimately decided to rewrite her reishi entirely as well while also narrowing her range. Her plan was to rush him down and absorb his reishi as he emitted it. She used all 3 techniques and activated blut vene to close the distance. Quilge appeared to have been expecting this since he quickly pulled out a previously unseen sword and rushed towards her as well to Bambiettas surprise. She threw a bomb at the ground to force him away from her as she quick stepped back.
"I thought you were planning on coming closer?" Quilge teased. She enhanced the strength of her blut and formed a reshi balls in both of her hands and rushed him down. She intended to use her reishi balls as hand to hand weapons that she can toss at him if need be. Since they were both using A-1 blut Bambietta was able to keep up with him, but Quilge was still faster than her due to being overall physically stronger than her without blut. Bambietta noticed that Quilge left a trail of reishi behind wherever he went, so she had the idea of funneling him into one area, so that he can leak an extensive amount of reishi in one spot. She'll then narrow her range and absorb it all at once. Bambietta threw her bombs at him and then threw one in the direction he was attempting to flee, but Quilge just wouldn't funnel to the location she wanted him to. She switched to blut arterie and tossed her bombs around him again. This time it seemed like he would get trapped by her explosions, but much to Bambiettas surprise Quilge sprinted out of her explosion and flashed up to her with hirenkyaku. Bambietta had just barely been able to switch to S-2 blut vene for a split second in her stomach, but even then his punch still sent her flying across the rooms.
"Concentrating your blut in one spot was a wise choice young Basterbine. That was a quick burst of S-1 blut arterie. If you had used anything lower than S grade blut vene I might have punched a hole straight through you." Bambietta responded by sending multiple blut arterie amped bombs towards him as she staggered towards him. Her senses were dwindling but along with that would come diminishing control of her reiatsu and thus her reishi subjugation capability. She activated blut vene again and rushed back towards him. Quilge easily out maneuvered her. Running out of options, Bambietta formed a dozen reishi balls around her, and she activated blut arterie at the highest level she can muster beflre blasting them in all directions. Quilge avoid the bombs, but they still left an immense amount of smoke and dust behind. Bambietta was suppressing her reiatsu to a point that not even Quilge could notice due to all the residual reishi floating around, and he detect her with his regular five senses due to the smoke. Suddenly a blue light emitted through the smoke from the left and Quilge quickly noticed and easily dodged the bomb however Bambietta suddenly appeared directly in front of him.
"Got you!" Bambietta yelled out confidently. She got a glimpse of Quilges smug grin as she used blut vene at the Schutzstaffel level for one, brief moment to throw a reishi ball towards him at top speed. The bomb managed to directly hit Quilge, and to Bambiettas surprise Quilge was wounded. Severely at that. His right shoulder was torn apart by the direct impact of her bomb. Part of his uniform was destroyed and splattered with his own flesh and blood. The blood from his injury trailed down his decimated arm. Bambietta started involuntarily trembling out of fear for what he'd do to her. Especially when Quilge started laughing maniacally
"Damn it!" Quilge yelled as he laughed. "I suppose I have no one to blame but myself for this." Quilge claimed before sighing and calming down from whatever unhinged and ecstatic state he was in before. Bambietta just watched in a combination of concern, fear and bewilderment. "You're bombs should have needed blut arterie at a high level to deal this much damage to me while I used blut vene at the level of the Schutzstaffel. Judging by the prior explosiveness of your bombs, I thought that my blut would have been strong enough to easily withstand a direct hit from your bombs when you weren't even using blut arterie, yet here I am now. It's such a strange phenomenon and an utterly abnormal occurrence. By all means I should have easily withstood your bomb, but this event isn't unexplainable. Your schrift has more depth and complexity than I could have known. Your reishi bombs aren't just bombs, rather anything your reishi makes contact with is physically transformed into a bomb before it detonates which makes it undodgeable and undeflectable. It's because of this unique property that you negated my blut entirely."
Bambietta quickly took this opportunity to absorb all the surrounding reishi and win. "So this is the true power of 'The Explode'." Bambietta said to herself. She was going to test this out further another time, but for now she decided to use this opportunity to absorb all the reishi now that Quilge was unfocused and leaking even more reishi. Bambietta quickly subjugated enough reishi to complete the exercise.
Quilge groaned as he recuperated. His blut quickly forced his wounds clot which stopped his bleeding.
"Well then, let us continue onto the Voll Stern Dich." Quilge said in his usual tone despite his severe injury which astonished Bambietta.
"Is he seriously still going to continue the training when half of his shoulder got blown off?" Bambietta thought to herself. Despite his injured and weakened state Bambietta currently found Quilge more terrifying than ever before. A part of Bambietta would have preferred if he did lose his composure and try to retaliate against her since then she'd at least understand why he was behaving that way, but Quilge was completely unreadable right now which was even scarier to Bambietta.
Quilge continued as if his right arm wasn't being connected to the rest of his body by a few tendons and destroyed muscles.
"As you know the Voll Stern Dich is the pinnacle of the Quincy arts and innovation. It has been in development for centuries, and has finally now been rendered operable by his Majesty."
"Even though the Voll Stern Dich grants similar abilities to Letz Stil the mechanisms it uses to do so is entirely different and far superior."
"Letz Stil is merely the absolute peak of reishi subjugation tied to a catalyst which was typically a leiden hant. By activating Letz Stil the leiden hant temporarily unlocks this immense reishi subjugation ability. So much so that the leiden hant draws out all the locked inner power contained within one's very soul all at once which temporarily allows the user to reach their full potential. However after the leiden hant deactivates all of the users spiritual powers are lost due to all of the spiritual power within their soul being drained entirely. The instability of the reishi subjugation and the heavy cost of the activation caused Letz Stil to fall into obscurity centuries ago, however the Voll Stern Dich took a different path to increase our power and address the flaws of Letz Stil." Quilge explained.
"The Voll Stern Dich, rather than drawing out our inner power like Letz Stil does, simply amplifies it which massively increases the Quincies current power. The Voll Stern Dich catalyst is only able to do this thanks to his Majesty. His Majesty has the power to distribute his soul to his subjects which grants him access to their soul. This is how his Majesty is capable of carving letters onto our soul and unlocking our schrifts. The Voll Stern Dich is fueled by his Majesty's power, and so it has the ability to access our souls like he does. The Voll Stern Dich then uses his Majesty's power to access and amplify the strength of our souls thus granting us immense power. However even though we need a catalyst for this transformation it is also a technique as well. The stability of the Voll Stern Dich is reliant on how well our own power resonates with his Majestys which is why I had you master reiatsu control and reishi subjugation first since those skills are essential to effectively using the Voll Stern Dich. Otherwise our Voll Stern Dich form may manifest malformed and imperfect rather than taking on the complete form that it's supposed to."
Bambietta understood his lecture, and she awaited further instruction from Quilge.
"Your Voll Stern Dich catalyst is currently inactive." Quilge claimed as Bambietta held the cross that acted as her Voll Stern Dich catalyst. "The activation condition is simple. If the Voll Stern Dich receives enough external reishi to fuel the transformation it'll become active at which point it'll access your soul and grant the begin the transformation. To do this you can either emit your own power to fuel the activation or you can subjugate reishi and use that gathered energy to activate the catalyst. This is other reason why reishi manipulation is so important for the Voll Stern Dich. If the catalyst receives enough reishi it'll automatically activate regardless of the users will which is why proper reishi control is needed to prevent the risk of that occurring. Although this is a bigger issue in locations that have more dense reishi concentrations like the Soul Society. With all that beinf said you may now attempt to activate your Voll Stern Dich."
Bambietta nodded and focused on gathering the reishi around her and channeling it toward her necklace while also emitting her own power which was intaken by the necklace as well. She physically felt the power of the necklace increasing, and eventually it started glowing a shade of red until it released it's intaken power which caused a red light to emit from the necklace. Bambietta suddenly felt overwhelmed and pained.
"Ah yes, I see that the Voll Stern Dich has torn open and gained access to your soul." Quilge said.
Bambietta buckled over in pain as she tried to control her power. She gasped for breath as she recalled what Quilge said about resonating with his Majesty's power. She tried to properly focus, but the main was making it exceedingly difficult to. Quilge frowned as he watched, realizing that the transformation was destabilizing.
Bambietta was struggling to both analyze his majesty's reiatsu and use resonate with it's immense power. All the while the Voll Stern Dich continuously gouged into her soul which disrupted her power and focus along with causing an undulating and indescribable sensation of pain from her soul being overwhelmed. This was far more difficult than controlling her blut or subjugating reshi ever was even while she was being shocked by Quilges contraption. Bambietta began gagging on the air as she struggled to breath and control her reishi.
"Your Voll Stern Dich and your soul is currently combatting each other which is currently tearing apart your soul. Unless you deactivate your Voll Stern Dich or stabilize the transformation soon… You will end up dying." Quilge said coldly.
Bambietta began to panic upon hearing that. She wanted to ask how to deactivate it, but she couldn't speak and she couldn't even tear off her catalyst either due to her being in too much pain to properly move. She redirected all of her effort to analyzing his Majesty's power while she allowed her reishi to go haywire. This put her into even more agony. She could hardly think, but she was still functional enough to continue her task of observing his majesty's power. The catalyst only amped her with power which she couldn't even control causing her to leak massive amounts of residual reishi that glowed red due to the Voll Stern Dich. Due to her schrift all of her leaking reishi began to explode the surrounding environment which became a significant threat to the integrity of the Verborhen Feld.
Despite everything Bambietta was experiencing, she realized the pattern of his reishi, and instantly shifted her efforts to resonating with it. Her body was naturally and instinctively opposing this process and tried to reject the power that was seeping into her soul, so Bambietta had to fight against her own body and its biological reflexes in order to make her own reishi and reiatsu resonate with the intruding power. Bambietta was able to resonate with his majesty's power enough to counterbalance the weight of the power that was continuously being given to her, but this didn't make her suffering lessen to any extent, it just prevented it from getting any worse.
Despite her lack of clarity she continued her task and began to better resonate with his majesty's power. In response to this Bambiettas previously haywire reishi emissions concentrated into roughly wing shaped protrusions from her back. Quilge watched the process with interest. Although she was no longer a hazard to the Verborhen Feld her form was still far from perfect. Her reshi wings were unconcentrated, uncontrolled and sporadic. Her wings were falling to solidify into the refined reishi wings of the completed Voll Stern Dich, and her Heiligenschein didn't properly manifest.
Bambietta continued to resonate with her Voll Stern Dich. Her constantly improving resonation her Voll Stern Dich reduced the pain of her soul being teared into, and she felt that the power being provided by the Voll Stern Dich was waning until it eventually stopped entirely. Since the transformation ended and her soul wasn't being tampered with anymore the pain Bambietta was experiencing mostly disappeared. Bambietta still hadn't properly resonated with the power that she was granted by the Voll Stern Dich, so her form was still deformed and unstable even though the slow and agonizing transformation had concluded.
"Your Voll Stern Dich is flawed." Quilge stated after her transformation ended.
"Well no fucking shit! I can see that for myself." Bambietta thought, getting increasingly frustrated with what was transpiring.
"Even though you had been given power by his majesty and had a letter engraved on your soul you still couldn't resonate with the Voll Stern Dich." Bambietta was getting even more infuriated by his words which caused her wings reishi to flare up.
"But that's to be expected. The first time using Voll Stern Dich is always the most difficult due to being unfamiliar with his majesty's power." Quilge said, which just turned Bambietta's fury into confusion.
"I thought that your transformation at the dining hall was your first use of your Voll Stern Dich?" Bambietta said.
"It was." Quilge responded which really put into perspective the gap between her and Quilges skill. She had barely been able to muster a flawed transformation, yet Quilge mastered utilizing his Voll Stern Dich instantly on his first try. It also insinuated that Quilge had been training on his own without her knowing.
"Oh and to deactivate Voll Stern Dich you can either wait for the transformation to fade on it's own or you can forcibly end it early by dissipating your wings and releasing all your additional power back into the environment, but considering the nature of your schrift that wouldn't be the best idea." Quilge elaborated.
"Are there any other alternatives?" Bambietta asked impatiently.
"Hypothetically speaking, by cutting off your catalyst's connection to your soul the transformation would be forcibly ended without the risk of releasing all your explosive reishi into the environment."
Bambietta thought of a way to do this, and she concluded that if her connection to her Voll Stern Dich dissonated rather than resonated the transformation would fall apart.
Bambietta braced herself and prepared to use this hypothetical method to deactivate her Voll Stern Dich. She was easily able to dissonate with her Voll Stern Dich since she was biologically hardwired to reject any intrusions to her soul, and she fought against her Voll Stern Dich even more which brought back the pain she was feeling before however she was able to quickly dissonate with her Voll Stern Dich enough for her soul to reject the Voll Stern Dich resulting in her transformation forcibly falling apart without any risk of her schrift becoming an issue.
Quilge was pleased by her resourcefulness and cleverness.
"That'll be enough for today. I estimate that you should be able to refine your transformation the next time you attempt it if you keep your experiences from today in mind. Again the first attempt is the most difficult due to the fact that you're unfamiliar with his majesty's immense power." Bambietta nodded in understanding before she left the Verborhen Feld. Bambietta jumped onto the building and to her surprise she noticed another Quincies reiatsu flare in the distance. It was extremely weak though.
"It would appear that Soken has finally allowed Uryu to go on hollow hunts." Quilge unexpectedly said. Bambietta immediately flicked her head to stare at him having no idea when he got behind her or for how long.
"Does that mean I can start hunting hollows?" Bambietta asked.
"Not just yet, but you will in due time." Quilge answered which left Bambietta feeling pretty disappointed even though she didn't say anything. They both silently used hirenkyaku to return home, and Bambietta immediately switched out of her Quincy garbs as soon as she could. Being drained by the immense physical labor of her training she simply wanted to sink into her uncomfortable bed and sleep.
Despite her drowsiness she still lifted up her Quincy cross and stared at it, reminiscing on what it meant to be a Quincy, to be a Sternritter and what Bambietta had been doing during the past few months. Bambietta had been going against what she knew for the sake of her mission, and she didn't know how to feel about it. She questioned what the Ishidas taught Uryu. She wondered what it means to be a Quincy to him, a Quincy who never grew up within the Wandenreich. She closed her fist and concealed her cross. Everything would be answered eventually she convinced herself before turning to go to sleep.
Was it necessary to go that in depth with how their powers work? Probably not, but I just couldn't help myself from nerding out and writing those long ass exposition dumps.
The concept for their Reishi Subjugation is based off of dialogue from Askins fight where he specifically says that a Soul Reaper shouldn't be able to change theirspiritual pressure which insinuates that Quincies actually cando that, and I took off with that. (I hope this doesn't conflict with some random info or light novel lore that I missed because then the whole thing falls apart.)
The Volstandig/Voll Stern Dich explanation concept aimed to explain various unexplained phenomenon regarding them in the main series. Also somethings about it that I didn't mention in Quilges dialogue. Yhwach is capable of activating a Sternritters catalyst himself which is what happens in the second invasion. Only individuals with Schrifts can properly use Volstandigsince Yhwachs reiatsu is so powerful and unique that only individuals who've been granted power by him can resonate with it.
