Welcome to a new chapter of this great sequel. As many can imagine, the beginning is quite calm and there is not so much tension. Remember that we are in a period of peace and tranquility. That it is possible that it will be disturbed little by little. Without wasting much time, let's get started with this chapter.

Bubble Guppies Adult Years

Chapter 2: Building Our New Path (Part 1)

Molly´s Part

The road to maturity is not easy. Well, to achieve it, it is necessary to make difficult decisions that will influence the path of the rest of our lives. And it's no surprise to us that a couple of young guppies are on this difficult journey. It's been a while since the commemoration day. During that time, things have not been as smooth as expected. In the days since, Molly and Gil have been planning and organizing the ceremony that would officially name them husband and wife. They have been thinking about the theme of the party, place, date, time, decoration, food, music, guests, among many other things. Add to that each one had responsibilities in their jobs. This would complicate wedding planning a lot. In turn, each handles the situation differently.

Today we will focus on Molly. She, now a young adult, had a job that she loved with her heart. She was now a teacher at BubbleTucky Middle School. Where she gives important lessons to her dear students. She temporarily moved back in with her parents and sister while the wedding was planned. A normal day for our beloved pink-haired protagonist. She arrived at the institute in a beautiful light blue sleeveless dress with pink flowers. In addition, she wore small glasses that she only used in readings or when she uses the computer. She went directly to her living room where she heard some noise. As she got closer, the sound was fading away until there was silence. The teacher couldn't help but giggle. Because she knew that her students could be noisy and when she arrived they would all pretend to be quiet. Something normal in children of those ages. Without giving it much thought, she entered the room, being greeted with several smiles from her students. Among them are the group of three kids we met earlier: Randall, Wyatt, and Tara.

"Good Morning, Miss Gentilella!" All the students greeted her happily. It was no surprise that she is the favorite teacher of most of the students.

"Well Good Morning, everyone!" Molly greeted them with a smile. It was evident that she learned from her old teacher.

"Miss Gentilella! Miss Gentilella!" Randall wanted to talk.

"Hi, Randall! You forgot an important rule: If you want to talk, raise your hand" Molly reminded him with a nice tone of voice.

"Oh! Hmmm Sorry" The blond boy said nervously before he raised his hand so he could speak.

"Very good! Now yes. What do you want to tell us?" The teacher asked kindly.

"Teacher Molly, actually I think several of us wanted to ask you something important days ago... but no one has had the courage to do it" Randall said.

"Oh really? Well tell me" Molly asked curiously.

"I…I…well…huhhhh….Wyatt, ask her" Randall said quickly.

"M..Me?! But you had the idea in the first place!" Wyatt defended himself.

"Boys, Silence!" Tara ordered them. Both boys listened. Their friend decided to be the voice of her friends "Ahem….What they were trying to ask was if you really were Molly Gentilella from the Bubble Guppies" Tara asked her. Molly giggled a bit. It had been a long time since she had been associated with the Bubble Guppies, Memorial Day being an exception to the rule.

"Yes, I am. I thought it was obvious. Although I don't blame you. When Bubble Guppies were at our peak, none of you were born. That or you were too young" Molly answered quietly.

"And why did you never tell us? Our teacher is literally a celebrity!" Randall asked in amazement.

"Hehehe Simple. You never asked me" She winked at them.

"Well... that's a good point" Wyatt commented.

"Oh Oh! Miss Molly!" A little girl raised her hand "Are you really getting married?"

"Oh my dear hehehe…Yes, I'm going to get married very soon. We still don't have an official date for the ceremony..." Molly answered with a smile.

"And you're going to marry Gil Gordon? Officer Gil himself!?" Randall asked shocked.

"Yes of course. He was my best friend for many years. Over time, we fell in love, we became a couple... and to this day we are engaged…. It is a beautiful experience that I would like you to experience when you grow up" Molly explained with a lovely tone of voice.

"Awwww It's so romantic. Also, the teacher has good taste. Gil is very handsome" Tara admitted with a happy tone.

"Yuck! Yuck! But how cheesy and cloying! I get nauseous!" Randall complained.

"Why does that bother you? Oh! I know! It's because you're in love with the teach…." Wyatt tried to finish his sentence until Randall closed his mouth.

"Wyatt!" The blonde boy shouted with a red face.

"Relax, kids. Do not be like that. The best thing will be that we start with the class. We started a bit late" Molly said with a smile. Obviously some of the children didn't like it but they kept quiet and the classes went on.

A few hours later, it was time for lunch. Just as the students eat, the teachers also have lunch at the same time. Molly decided to have lunch in the staff lounge, where many colleagues greeted her happily. Well, she was a beloved teacher even by her coworkers. She was chatting with another coworker who was a lobster woman in a black and white uniform with a purple vest.

"My students are doing great except for a small group of rowdy kids. God, if I only knew how to calm them down…." The lobster woman told her.

"The only thing that can be done in such cases is to be very patient. For example, in my case, Randall is a guy who likes to get into trouble. But at the end of the day, they act like what they are: Children. We can only guide them on the right path and set a good example" Molly gave good advice to her coworker.

"You're right Molly. Seriously you know what you're doing" Her friend said with a smile.

"In my personal experience, being strict and firm has worked well for me. After all, this is how education was handled years ago" A snail woman with pink glasses and long white hair decided to sit along with them.

"Oh! Hi, Mrs. Wilkinson! Enjoy your food!" The lobster woman said kindly. The snail just snorted a bit.

"Hello. Mrs. Wilkinson! I'm sorry to tell you this so late but I really appreciate you covering me with my group on the day of remembrance" Molly said with a smile. Well, she had asked the other teacher to take care of her students at the event while she prepared the concert. Request that the snail woman reluctantly accepted

"It was nothing, Molly" Mrs. Wilkinson answered seriously.

"Changing the subject, friend...So it's official. You will get married soon, won't you?" The lobster woman asked happily

"That's true. We will get married soon. I feel very happy about it" Molly commented about her recent feelings.

"It's very cute and all but...Do you really want to get married? Do you really want to give up your freedom?" Her coworker asked curiously.

"But what are you talking about?" The pink-haired guppy raised her eyebrow confusedly.

"I'm just saying that you're still too young to be tied to a man for life. Just look at me! I am older than you and I decided not to get married. Marriage is a prison" The lobster girl commented her point of view.

"It can't be as bad as you say" Molly denied.

"Of course it's that bad, girl! In marriage, the beautiful things of courtship die. It is as if man changed from one moment to the next. In courtship, he can be romantic, thoughtful and attentive. But in marriage, all that magic of love and illusion dies. This is told to you by a divorced woman who raises cats by herself. I don't care though" Mrs. Wilkinson explained with a grumpy tone.

"Well...you have a point. Not all marriages end well. However, I know my boyfriend. And I know my Gilly isn't that kind of man and he never will be" Molly said it with confidence.

"Well….I respect your decision" The lobster woman commented.

"Whatever" The snail old woman said.

The rest of the day passed normally. Molly gave lessons to her dear students with much devotion and enthusiasm. Finally, it was time to leave her working day. After organizing a few paperwork, she finally left the school to go home. There was no problem in her journey and she arrived at the house. Some time later, we can see the Gentilella family at a nice dinner. We can see Miriam and Robert who haven't changed much. And we see Mia, who has grown considerably. She was very similar to Molly when she was a teenager, but her hair was shorter and she had a small blue headband. As well as having a bit of a red tint to her hair. And we see that Lucky was no longer a puppy but a young dog that accompanied the family at their dinner.

"I had a good day at school. There is not much news but...I have to start looking for options for the university. After all, it's my last year" Mia commented on her situation.

"You won't have much trouble, dear. You have the best grades in school" Robert commented happily.

"You must think about it very well. It is one of the most important decisions of your life" Miriam advised her daughter.

"Just choose what makes you happy, sis" Molly said with a big smile.

"Of course! Thanks!" Mia answered very happily for all her family's support. Everyone seemed comfortable at dinner except Molly. She was checking her cell phone a lot and didn't touch her plate.

"Ahem….Molly, What is the rule regarding cell phones at mealtime?" Miriam looked at her older daughter.

"(sigh) I know..and I´m sorry. I just keep planning and organizing my wedding. There are a lot of logistics that we must take into account" Molly explained her concern.

"I see….I still have a hard time assimilating that my dear daughter is about to get married. It's very cute and emotional" Mrs. Gentilella said happily.

"Yeah…Very cute and emotional….Hey! And you're really going to marry...Gil Gordon. Is it serious? Think about it, dear. You still have time to change your mind" Mr. Gentilella asked. He wasn't convinced.

"Dad! We have already discussed it. Gilly is the boy I love and I want to spend the rest of my days with him. Also, I thought you already liked him since the day of the challenge" Molly answered.

"Molly, accepting him as your boyfriend is one thing. But accepting him as your husband is different. I don't know, I still don't trust him completely" Robert crossed his arms.

"Honey, I believe that Gil has earned the trust of our family all these years. He saved our daughter from a kidnapping. And I will never forget the fact that he took on that mobster for her. I consider him to be the best option for Molly. They have known each other since they were children" Miriam explained to him.

"I think the same...Gil is the most trustworthy person I know...but...Mom, do you think Gil will be the same even after we get married?" Molly decided to ask her mom about her main concern.

"I think so, dear. Gil has always been the same since you two met. I see no reason to doubt it" Miriam replied with a smile.

"You're right" Molly smiled a bit.

"(sigh) Well….I guess I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt. After all, I won't oppose you being happy" Robert replied.

"Thanks, daddy" The older sister said. In all that time, Mia didn't comment much. She finished eating and decided to get up from her chair.

"(yawn) Today was a tiring day for me. See you tomorrow" Mia said tiredly.

"Ooh, are you alright?" Her mom asked worriedly.

"I´m okay…I´m just tired…I´ll be in my bed….See ya" The younger member replied without many details. Saying that, she went to her room and closed the door. Molly knew her younger sister, and that was not a normal attitude. She wanted to talk to her sister, but the time was not right. Which is a shame, because both girls didn't see each other often due to their work and study schedules. Molly decided to continue talking to her parents about the subject of her wedding while on the other side of the door, Mia could only let out a sigh and fall into her bed.

Later, we will focus on the house of one of our favorite guppies. The girls had decided to have a meeting to help her with the wedding ideas, and in turn, have a fun time in a "girls time"

"The moment is near! Our best friend will be quite a beautiful wife!" Deema was very enthusiastic for the event.

"Yeah. I'm very happy too…But still there is a lot of work to do. For starters, I don't know if we should do a simple ceremony or something more sophisticated or extravagant. Or who should we invite? There are so many things I have to organize with Gilly" Molly explained.

"You two don't need to take all that load alone" Oona intervened.

"She's right. We can give you a hand" Zooli added.

"I appreciate it so much girls...I still have a hard time believing this is real (sigh) It's like a fairy tale come true" Molly expressed with a lovely tone of voice. Like she is in love.

"Like a fairy tale….come true?...That's it! I have a brilliant idea!" Deema said with her dramatic tone.

"What's on your mind, Deema?" Oona asked curiously.

"I just remembered that Molly is an honorary princess for the Glitter Games. And besides, we have always seen the two of them as princess and prince. That gave me an idea. What do you think...a Royalty-themed wedding?!" Deema expressed her great idea.

"A royalty-themed wedding?!" Molly, Oona and Zooli asked at the same time.

"You know! An elegant theme, royal gentlemen, Oh and right! A castle! Special place for the ceremony" The blonde guppy explained with excitement.

"That sounds a bit fanciful and outlandish... too much. For starters... a castle? Is it a joke?" Zooli asked with a disbelieving tone of voice.

"Actually, in BubbleTucky there is a castle. In that place, they named Nonny as Sir Nonny the Nice. I think we could try. After all, they are also our friends" Oona analyzed it.

"Then it's decided! We must speak to royalty!" Deema said excitedly.

"Huh?" Zooli was confused.

"Oh sure...It turns out that BubbleTucky also has a Representative Monarchy...More than anything it is something symbolic like in Spain and England" Oona answered her friend´s doubt. The other girls looked at her surprisedly. They didn't expect Oona to say such an elaborate and complex answer "(chuckle) That's what I get from spending so much time with Nonny" Oona said with her cheeks rosy from blushing.

"Hey, that sounds great. The idea is really good. But what does Molly think? It's her wedding after all" Zooli intervened a bit.

"Well...the truth...I love the idea. I feel like it's something that represents me...and Gil in a way. You should propose that idea to him. It is a very good idea" Molly accepted this proposal.

"YOHOO! Very good! It's a breakthrough! How about we go out together and do something like old times? Let's go to the mall!" The blonde guppy said.

"LET'S GO!" Molly and Oona shouted happily.

"Well of course. Let's have fun. I need it" Zooli agreed.

In this way, the guppy girls had a fun time with each other just like old times. Despite the fact that they all had busy schedules due to their jobs, they managed to find time to be together (sometimes with the boys too). Finally, good times were approaching for our protagonists. Very soon, the long-awaited ceremony is gradually approaching.

Another quiet chapter on the life of one of our most beloved guppies. I liked portraying an everyday day in the life of Molly Gentilella, now carrying out her work in her adult life. In addition to showing us some of her thoughts about her commitment to the boy she loves and things that must be worked on little by little.

To explain a bit about the lore. In this world, I have considered that BubbleTucky can have a Representative Monarchy because, before having a democracy, there was a monarchy many years ago. The King and Queen would appear in a couple of episodes of the original show. Its functions would be similar to those of the monarchy that exists in England and Spain. My idea came from the episodes "Sir Nonny the Nice" and "The Glitter Games" respectively.

You guys can leave your reviews like always and I'll be aware of them. To conclude this part, I will answer the reviews of the last chapter.

Zakirmatron: Hi there! Nice to see you again after a long time! I'm sure this will be a long but exciting journey once again. I always imagined guppies a few years older. Not surprisingly, Gil has a slightly deeper tone of voice hehe.

mermaidf: Oh yeah, mate! We're back on the road! For another exciting story!

PrimroseRaspberry: Finally this beautiful saga is back! I am very glad that you liked the details of the first chapter such as Molly's students, the song and the tribute to the victims. Just because Jane is out of action doesn't mean she's no longer a danger. Be aware of what can happen.

JayBird06: Good to see you again, friend! I'm glad you liked the song. And it is possible that those children will have more participation later. And I love hearing that it is motivating you to continue with your story. Which is great and I'm still waiting for the next chapter. I´m excited for it hehehe.

That's all for now. See you in the next chapter. Not before leaving you guys with an interesting little scene.

On a quiet afternoon at the famous BubbleTucky High School, we can see that two teenage guppies were talking together while eating something in a coffee shop. The couple seemed to be very good friends.

"Thanks for coming. I really need to talk to someone I trust and...you were the first person I thought of" It was a female voice.

"Don't worry, Mia. I've been your best friend since middle school. You know you can count on me" It was Dylan Wahler. The older of the twins. Deema's younger brother. The boy is now a teenager close to becoming a young adult.

"Thanks…." Mia was quiet for a few seconds.

"Is something wrong?" Dylan asked.

"I'm okay. I'm….I'm okay that…Molly will be married" She decided to tell him about her concern.

"Buuut…you aren't very happy about it. Don't you?" He knew his best friend's body language very well, so he deduced that there was something Mia didn't like about her older sister's wedding.

"That's how it is. I do not know what is happening to me. I want Molly to be happy. And in turn, I like Gil a lot. He is a great brother in law and he always makes everything more fun. I hold him in high esteem because he has made us very happy. But still...I don't know. I feel like if they get married...all of that will end...It means that everything Molly and I have wrought for years...will be ruined..." Mia expressed her thoughts with a sad tone.

"Yes, I see. You and Molly have always been very close. Mmmmm, do you want them not to get married?" Dylan asked confusedly

"I…I…I…I don´t know" She replied with doubts.

"Mmmmm maybe we can try something..." The teen guppy tried to propose an idea.

"Stop, Dylan. I don't want some crazy plan from you" She stopped him because she knew him. She knows he would plan something crazy with his twin brother like old times.

"I understand. Don't worry... I won't do anything you don't want me to do" He answered quietly. They both fell silent. Molly's younger sister seems to have an internal conflict that will soon break out.
