TW: Mention of miscarriage!

It's been about a week since Harvey and Donna have spoken. He heard from Mike that she and Tanner are back together and planning to return to Seattle. It hurts, more than anything else ever has, but he knows he can't change it. But would he, if he could? She hurt him deeply, not just once. She lied to him, hid her marriage, then begged him to forgive her. Just when he was ready, she took it all back and returned to her ex-husband.

Yes, if he's honest, he still would to fight for her. He understands why she wants her baby to grow up with its father, but she can't go back to a man she doesn't love just because of the baby. Or does she? He's her husband... and Harvey... Harvey's just a man she had fun with for a few weeks. Why would she choose him over her husband, the father of her long-wanted baby?

'Am I being selfish?' he wonders 'Do I have the right to fight for her?'' Mike says yes, but Mike's his friend and just wants him to be happy. Even though he's not sure if Mike truly believes he should fight after everything that's happened, he knows Mike wants the best for him and he's not sure it is Donna.

He has those thoughts at times but then he remembers everything agian and the disappointment and anger returns. That's why doesn't want to talk to her, doesnt want to see her or listen to her excuses, he's had enough.

"Mike," Donna calls after him as he and Rachel head home. Rachel stops, but Mike keeps walking.

"Mike, please," she repeats, louder this time.

"What?" he shouts, turning around. "What do you want? Can't you just pack your damn things and go to Seattle with your damn husband, leaving New York forever?"

"Please, lis—"

"No!" he yells, raising his voice.

"Mike, sshhh," Rachel reminds him with a hand on his shoulder—they're on the street.

"You lied to him for weeks. You hurt him. Then you begged him to forgive you, and just when he was ready to, you ran back to your ex?!" Mike snaps. "God, I'm such an idiot. I actually believed you and told him to go for it!"

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah, me too... sorry he ever met you in the first place," Mike says coldly. Donna swallows hard. "You're the worst thing that could've happened to him."

"Mike!" Rachel tries to intervene, but fails, now ding full well how much Donna's hurt too. She tried to explain it to MIke, to tell her their story but he didn't care, it doesn't justify anything.

"What? It's the truth. After everything with Scottie, he thought he'd finally found someone he could trust, someone it could actually work with- and it turns out you're worse than her. At least she genuinely cared about him," he says bitterly.

"I care too," Donna insists.

"Don't you dare say that ever again," he snaps. "Your actions show how much you care. Do us all a favor and disappear—there's still a flight to Seattle tonight." He turns to leave.

"Are you coming?" he asks Rachel, who glances at Donna, then at Mike, and nods. "Yeah," she replies.

Rachel understands Mike's anger. She's mad at Donna too, but after hearing Donna's side of the story, she understands why she's choosing Travis. Donna wants to try again, even though it means leaving the love of her life. Harvey will never know how much it hurts Donna too.

After her confrontation with Mike, Donna sits crying on her brother's couch. She understands why Mike is upset, why Harvey won't talk to her, won't let her explain—and it makes leaving even harder. She knows she needs to try one last time, to tell him she never lied about her feelings.

They've only known each other for a couple of weeks, but she knew instantly that he was special. She needs to tell him she isn't choosing Travis because she loves him more than Harvey, but because of her pregnancy. She would've never chosen Travis if it were just her. But now, she has to think of her baby. And the best thing for a child is to have both parents together.

She and Travis tried for years to make it work, and it never did—until now. After they lost their first pregnancy, they gave up hope. He supported her through everything, despite betraying her twice. She knows he always loved her.

But with Harvey, it was different. She loved Travis, she would've done anything for him—he's a good man despite everything—but the way she felt with Harvey was something she had never experienced before.

"Donna, what's wrong?" her brother asks, worried as he sees her almost deserted on his couch.

"Oh my god is… is the baby okay?" he asks scared. He knows how much she's been through and how painful it was for her when she miscarriaged. He must have called her several times before she noticed him.

"No... baby's okay" she sobs "it- it's… Harvey" Donna breaks down, unable to speak, so her brother sits beside her and pulls her into a hug.

"He hates me," she sobs, and he tightens his embrace.

"He's hurt, but he doesn't hate you. He loves you," Ian reassures her, kissing her head.

"I hurt him so much."

"He'll understand why you had to do this, eventually."

Donna shakes her head. "He won't. How could he? I begged him for another chance, and when he was ready, I... Why now, Ian? We tried for years. Why now?"

"Sometimes things happen unexpectedly, and it's up to us to decide how to handle them." Ian pulls her back slightly.

"Donna, are you really sure you want this? There are plenty of people raising children who aren't theirs."

Donna nods. "I know... but I have to. He was so happy when we got the news. You should've seen him."

"What about you? are you happy?" Ian presses. "Because you don't look happy at all."

"I never wanted to be apart from Harvey ever again and now..."

"Then don't. He loves you. And you obviously love him"

"I know, I do... and that's what makes it even harder, almost unbearable" she says, hiding her face in his chest.

"Travis will hurt you again," Ian warns.

"He won't," Donna insists. "This time, he got it."

"I hope so" he tells her, his voice unconvinced, "because next time, I swear I'll kill him," he lets out, making her chuckle through her tears.

"You never liked him."

"No, because he never valued you," Ian says, noticing her disagreeing look. "I know, you think differently, but we've never agreed on that." He adds.

"You're team Harvey," she states.

"I am," he confirms, "Look, I just want you to be sure about this and to me it doesn't look like you're deciding it with your heart but just what you think it's best. Don't go back to Travis just for the child. If you're not happy, the child won't be either."

Donna nods. "I am sure. I was happy with Travis before, and I will be again. This," she places a hand on her stomach, "is what we've waited for, and our baby will make it work. We'll be a happy family," she says, trying to convince both her brother and herself. But even as she says it, the thought of never seeing Harvey again makes her feel sick.

Harvey stands frozen for a moment when he sees Donna at his door.

"Harvey," she says quietly.

"What are you doing here?"

"Can I come in?" He hesitates. Why should he? There's nothing left to say.

"Please?" she adds, and he eventually agrees.

"What do you want, Donna? There's nothing left to say."

"I... I just wanted to see you... say goodbye," she says, her voice trembling.

"Goodbye" he repeats sadly. "So, you're really leaving?, just like that?" He already knows, but part of him was hoping she'd change her mind.

"I have to," she explains.

"No, you don't."

"Harvey, please don't make this harder than it already is. If it were just me, I would've never chosen him over you," she says, her voice full of emotion.

"Then why are you?" he asks, his desperation clear. Why should she chose someone she doesn't love?

"You know why. I'm pregnant— We-"

"So what?" he cuts her off. "you've been through so much? I already know that Donna. And I am really sorry You about that, this must've been hell. It's just... You wouldn't be the first person to raise a child with someone other than the biological father. I already told you I'd love the baby as my own."

"I know that, I really do... but I can't." Tears stream down her face. "We tried for so long, and now... I just... have to." Harvey nods, lost for words.

"Then I hope you'll be happy with him," he says, swallowing hard. "But I'm telling you, you'll regret this. And when you do, it'll be too late." Beneath his sadness, there's a trace of anger he can't, and doesn't want to hide.

"Harvey, please," she pleads, stepping closer, but he pulls away.

"Just leave, Donna. You made your decision, now go."

"I don't want us to end like this," she sobs.

"I don't want us to end at all. This is on you. You wanna go, so go," he says firmly. With no other choice, she nods and heads for the door.

As she reaches it, a sharp pain shoots through her stomach. She groans softly, instinctively clutching her belly and bracing herself against the door.

"Donna?" Harvey calls out, turning towards her, seeing her in distress.

"I... uhm..." She tries to reassure him, but the pain returns, much stronger this time, forcing her to her knees as she clutches her stomach, groaning in pain.

"Donna!" he shouts rushing to her side.
