DANGANRONPA : SECOND CHANCE

PROLOGUE: A FAMILIAR SETTING

Makoto: My name is Makoto Naegi, and I have been invited at Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Lucky Student. You may be thinking "Oh, wow! Congrats!", but you would be wrong. This place isn't a place filled with hope... But despair.

You may be wondering what I mean. Well, let me just explain a few things. First things first, the reason I'm talking to myself is because I gained this bad habit and I can't seem to get rid of it.

Second things second, the reason I know this place will lead me to a killing game is because i already played it. I already participated in this killing game and died, but I was gifted a second chance... Somehow. All I know is that I get to try again and that I am obligated to attend Hope's Peak, otherwise I'll shatter the time-line. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. I already survived it but ended up getting framed and died unrightfully. This time, it will be different. Oh, and, do you remember when I said I was the Ultimate Lucky Student? Yeah, I lied. My real talent will be announced soon enough

Said and done. I entered Hope's Peak and got knocked out. Next thing I know I was in a classroom, so I went to the main hall and got ready to see them again.

The door to the main hall opens and I walk in

???: "And with that, 15 of us in total"

???: "Tch, what's so important that you announce it, Huh?"

???: "That's, like, so weird! Why are there 15 of us... Where ever we are?"

Makoto: "Sorry for interrupting, but we got fucking kidnapped, there's no time for idle chatter. We have to figure out where, who, why, what and how"

???: "I agree*

???: "Before we do anything, I propose we introduce ourselves"

???: "Oh! That's a great idea! I'll start!"

And so, everyone Introduced themselves.

Sayaka Mayzono, Junko Enoshime, Leon Kuwata, Chihiro Fujisaki, Mondo Owata, Kiyotaka Ishimaru, Hifumi Yamada, Celeste, Sakura Ogami, Toko Fukawa, Byakuya Togami, Aoi Asahina, Yasuhiro Hagakure, Kyoko Kirigiri and...

Makoto: "My name is Makoto Naegi and... That's it"

Junko: "What? Not you too! Why aren't you and violet hair over there telling us your ultimate abilities?"

Kyoko: "We aren't obligated to"

Aoi: "But Naegi was the one who proposed we introduce ourselves, why wouldn't he tell us his ultimate ability?"

Makoto: "I prefer to keep that private, if you don't mind. I'm willing to bet my ability will get revealed sooner or late. Anyways, I'm going to the gym"

Sayaka: "Why are you goi-"

Mayzono didn't have enough time to finish her sentance before a TV screen turned on with something or someone telling us to go to the gym, so everyone followed Naegi

Leon: "Naegi, how did you know we were supposed to go to the gym?" Asks Kuwata while on the way to the gym

Makoto: "Know what? Fuck it. I knew because I'm the Ultimate Psychic"

Hifumi: "Ultimate Psychic?"

Makoto: "Mhm... No, I don't really have a limit"

Hifumi: "Wha-"

Makoto: "And, no, I can't control it. That is what you were thinking, right?"

Hifumi: "Well... Yeah"

Makoto: "Then that proves it, I'm the Ultimate Psychic"

Liar. You aren't the Ultimate Psychic. Granted, you didn't lie, but that isn't your ultimate ability. If you're wondering how I can do this, I somehow gained this ability after I was granted my second chance, so why not say I'm the Ultimate Psychic?

After a little walk to the gym, we met Monokuma, who told us about our "Communal School Life", but that enraged Owata, and he decided to attack Monokuma. After a few seconds, it started beeping

Mondo: "Hey, why is this shit beeping?"

Makoto: OK, it's time to change the time-line a bit more "Throw it, you idiot!"

Mondo: "The hell di-"

Owata was cut off by me running and chucking Monokuma out of his hands, and... Nothing

Mondo: "Hey! The hell wa-"

BOOM

Monokuma exploded, leaving nothing but a giant explosion behind

Mondo: "What... What the..."

Makoto: "If something in your hands starts beeping, you don't just stand there like an idiot! You throw it, dumbass!"

Mondo: "The fuck'd you call me?"

Makoto: "The fucking truth! You were about to be blown to bits if it weren't for me!"

Mondo: "... Tch... Thanks for that"

I smile a bit after hearing that

Makoto: "Just don't let something blow up in your face, k?"

Aoi: "Are you guys okay?!?!"

Chihiro: "What happened?!?!"

Junko: "How the fuck did you know that would happen, Naegi?!?!"

Makoto: "Yes, he exploded and I thought that I already told you I'm the Ultimate Psychic"

Junko: "Well, yeah, but aren't psychics supposed to read minds, or something like that?"

Makoto: "That isn't actually true. Psychics don't read minds, they forsee the future"

Celeste: "Forsee the future?"

Makoto: "Yes. Psychics know what people will say because they forsee the future of them saying that. If you were to be thinking something, but not say it, I won't be able to know what you're thinking. Plus, this way, I get to know what people will react, do, say or anything else, not just what they will say"

Sayaka: "So-"

Makoto: "Yes, I can answer questions for people before they answer. Also, I know about you great Intuition, Mayzono"

Sayaka: "Wow..."

Byakuya: "I believe a talking robot bear just exploded in front of our eyes, did it not?"

Hifumi: "If he exploded, can we leave?"

Monokuma: "Of course no-"

Makoto: "No, Monokuma has dozens of clones in case he breaks or self distructs. Plus, he knows stuff normal people don't. For example, no one besides all 14 of you know I'm a psychic. I only told you since I knew we would be stuck in here for some time"

Monokuma: "... Why don't you reveal my entire plan, Huh?"

Makoto: "I can, if you'd like. I already know what we need to do to leave"

Monokuma: "Then go ahead! Tell everyone! There's no way you kno-"

Makoto: "The one and only way to leave this place is to become a Blackened and not become targeted. The way you become a blackened is murdering another student and not getting the most votes in a class trial. A class trial happens a little while after 3 people, besides the blackened, discover a body. The time before the trial is used however anyone wants, but it's reccomended to investigate the crime. "

Naegi says that while glaring daggers at Monokuma

Monokuma: "... How the fuck...? "

Makoto: " I told you, I'm psychic"

Monokuma: "..."

Monokuma just gave everyone a tablet and left, expecting Naegi to explain everything about the E-Handbook

Sayaka: "What is this?

Makoto: A E-Handbook, a device that allows us to see the school regulations, map, student list and… LiListen to music?

Everyone looked at me with a few different emotions. Shock, amazement and confusion

Kiyotaka: "Why did you act like you didn't know that? You're the Ultimate Psychic"

Makoto: "Like I said, I can't control it. Sometimes I will get to know the ending of a movie I was planning to watch 2 weeks early, other times I will only know half of what someone will say. I can't control when it happens, the amount I get to know or how far I can forsee"

Junko: "Oh! So you don't know EVERYthing, you still are clueless on a few things! "

Makoto: "Yeah, I guess you're right"

Makoto smiles for a bit before suddenly falling on his back and hiperventilating with wide eyes

Sayaka: "Naegi!"

Mondo: "Oi! You ok?"

Celeste: "Are you feeling well, Naegi?"

Makoto: "Yeah, I just… saw the future"

Kyoko: "Was it that bad?"

Makoto: "... Need I remind you we're in a killing game?"

Leon: "No… Don't tell me"

Makoto: "I… Need a moment… and a glass of water"

Gotta say, Naegi, you're a great actor. Anyway, everyone walked Naegi to the diner and gave him a glass of water

Byakuya: "So? Who died?"

Makoto: "... In 2 weeks, more or less… Mayzono will… die… "

Sayaka: "W-what…?

Makoto: "I… I would like to go to sleep"

Junko: "... C'mon, I'll take you there"

Makoto: "Thank you, Enoshima"

Sayaka: "Could… Could I come too? "

Makoto: "Sure"

Junko: "C'mon you two"

And so, Naegi, Enoshima and Mayzono walked out of the diner and towards the dorm rooms

Junko: "So, uh… You two ok? "

Sayaka: "I was just told I was going to die in 2 weeks"

Makoto: "And I saw the aftermath. Sorry Mayzono, but… I don't think I'll be able to look at your face for a while. It reminds me of… "

Sayaka: "It's alright, I understand"

Junko: "Naegi"

Makoto: "Yeah? "

Junko: "If you ever need help… You can talk to me. I was told I give good advice"

Makoto: "Thank you, Enoshima" Where is my damn Oscar?! Since when was I such a good actor?! Holy shit!

Then, after a bit of talking and walking, the three arrive at the dorms

Makoto: "Thank you, Enoshima"

Sayaka: "Yeah, thanks"

Junko: "No problem, if we're gonna have to be stuck in here, it's good to atleast have friends, right? "

Makoto: "Friends, Huh? I like the sound of that"

Sayaka: "Same. It's nice to have friends in a place like this"

Makoto: "Well, anyways, I'm going to bed"

Sayaka: "Me too. See you two tomorrow!"

Makoto: "See ya' tomorrow!"

Junko: "Good night!"

And, with that, the three go to their dorm rooms or go back to the diner. Let's go to Naegi in his room after washing up

Makoto: I can't believe I'm gonna do this, but… "Monokuma!"

As if on que, Monokuma appeared seamingly out of nowhere

Monokuma: "Yes, psychic boy?"

Makoto: "Where is Mukuro Ikusaba?"

Monokuma: "... What?"

Makoto: "Don't play dumb! I know Ikusaba exists, so where is she?"

Monokuma: "... How do yo-"

Makoto: "I'm a fucking psychic, dumbass! So, tell me, where. Is. Ikusaba?"

Monokuma: "..."

The bear just fled seamingly into nothing without saying anything

Makoto: "Hey! Answer my question!"

But, it was in vain. Naegi didn't get a response from the living monochrome tanuki suit

Makoto: "Tch… Why didn't he tell me?"
