Chapter 7 - visitors
Alucard had been confinded to his room for a few days after the ritual had happened. He starts to suspect that integra saw something within that ritual that riled her up or distressed her. Alucard asked Seras when she came to give him blood packs and continued training, but he got very vague information from her. Either Integra is very busy or she didn't know. Alucard couldn't even read his servants mind now that she has her guard up around him.
A slight smile crept upon Alucards face in thought.
The little Draculinas training was coming along quite well. He was becoming more intrigued by her eagerness to learn and how far she has progressed during his absence.
"Yez, zhe is quite a special lady." A familiar voice echoed in his mind. A little boy.
Alucard's eyes wideneded and he let's out a gasp of surprise. Quickly sitting up from his chair, the vampire scanned the room but found nothing.
"Whatz up, kat got your tongue?" The little boy giggles.
Alucard closes his eyes in annoyance.
"I suppose 30 years isn't enough to wipe everything out of myself, Schrodinger."
The cat boy grins within Alucard.
"Aww, don't be like that. I can be good company."
Alucard growls in annoyance.
"I'd rather shoot myself in the head 100x over then let you be any kind of company for me."
"Ah yez, your lovely ladies are all that you care about now. How was it you said to dear Walter..."
Shrodinger clears his throat, using Alucards voice the little boy quotes what Alucard said that night.
"They are mine, mine alone. My dearest master to whom I belong, my darling servant mine to mould."
Alucard rolls his eyes
"Yes, I stand by my statement. Anyway, what do you want from me? How did you survive?"
"I've been with you since that very night Alucard. You can't destroy my blood within you, my essence within you will last forever. I only just recently 'woke up'."
Alucard raised an eyebrow.
"Woke up?"
"Ja! It seems whatever happened with the magic integra used, it awoke my essence inside of you. So i suppose you can say I'm that little voice at the back of your mind,"
Alucard's eyes dangerously flared, he bares his teeth.
"No, I want you out, even if that means I have to do it myself."
"Vhat? You mean diztroy yourself? I think not"
Alucard let's out another growl.
"Why you little -"
A knock on his door broke the moment.
"Master?" Seras voice calls out.
"What is it Police girl!" He barks out in an annoyed tone,
Seras groans, she'd hoped her master would have stopped calling her that by now, but clearly not.
"Well, there's something i want to show you, but it's in my room."
Alucard looks at the door very confused.
"Integra specifically stated I was to remain here until further notice. Why can't you bring it here."
"Well...its just my room. She won't know you've come out, I promise not to say anything. Anyway, it's more of a surprise. Plus, you might like how I 'decorated' it."
Alucard did admit to himself he was incredibly bored waiting around for Integra to give him the green light.
A slight smirk crept on the older vampires lips,
"Very well, you have my attention. Let's go."
Integra slams the phone down, irritated that Seras wasn't picking up. That means she'd have to go all the way down to her room.
The Ai cameras turn to integra. The light bean strip that was connected to most of the manor lit up,
"Sir Integra would you like me to contact Seras Victoria for you?" Britania spoke.
Since the Britannia Ai was installed, Integra hated walking around the mansion. It was bad enough when Alucard spied on her out of boredom.
Integra sighs in defeat.
"Fine. Let her know i need her in my office to discuss some things."
The beam strip trails off. Within a few minutes Britania comes back.
"I am unable to get Miss Victorias attention. She's blocked me out of her. However, from the outside perspective, she is in conversation with Alucard."
Integra looks confused.
"Alucard...in Seras room? Mmmm...that's not right. I specifically gave him strict orders to stay in his room. Bloody vampires think they can disobey me!" She huffs and takes a cigar lighting it as she walks out of the office and slams the door behind her. Forgetting she left her computer on and exposed.
Integra storms down the stairs, taking big puffs of her cigar. Her icy blue eye were not amused by her vampires disobedience.
Integra arrives at Seras door, about to knock until she hears Seras and Alucard in conversation. Integra decided to listen in.
"Master, i must admit...umm... I'm a little nervous about showing you."
"Do not worry, just remember that Integra must not know i am here." His dark voice surprisingly calm.
"I understand master"
Sounds of cloth shifting were heard, and then a large pause.
Integra heard a gasp coming from Alucard.
"My my look at you! Seras, I must admit ... you've really outdone yourself."
"Thank you master, this is my first time doing this."
"Oh? You first time for me? I feel flattered." Alucards voice dances on his tongue.
Integras jaw dropped as she couldn't believe her ears on what was going on.
"To be honest master...i actually waited a very long time for this moment.
"That long huh? Well, this beauty before my eyes is truly exquisite."
Integra looked at the door in awe at Alucards out of character expression and then continued to listen in.
"Master!" Seras shouted out.
"Hush Seras, dont worry. Since this is your first time I want to examine it further."
"But ...um..." Seras sounded worried that got Integra concerned for her.
"What!" Alucard shouted out that made integras glare at the door by his rude behaviour. She didn't notice Pips shadow had formed out the wall opposite to her. His floating head slowly came over to inspect Integra to see why she was listening in.
"I just...worried about it not being good enough for you that's all. You've had so much experience with many others." Seras continues.
Integra eyes widened. How many were Seras talking about? Integra was still unclear of this situation.
"That's true. I have had many, but for my own servant to give something personal like this to me is truly an experience I've never had before."
Seras and Integra let out a small gasp at the same time, shocked by his words.
"Oh Master, that's so kind of you to say."
"Just keep this between us, I have a reputation to uphold. I can't let Integra think I've gone soft."
Integra rolls her eyes.
"Now..." He purrs, footsteps are heard. Pip gets closer to Interga nearly over her shoulder.
"This is going to be fun." He chuckles in delight. Integra jaw drops again, Pip raises an eyebrow.
"Vat are you doing integra?" Pips voice came through and gave integra a scare. She lost her balance and fell towards Seras door, which was unlocked that made integra full fall over inside Seras room.
"Integra?!" Seras shouted in alarm.
Alucard sighs.
"So much for not getting caught."
Integra looks up at her vampires both staring down at her.
Seras rushes over to help integra.
"Dont fuss Seras." Interga looked over seeing Alucard holding a new gun that made Integra easily add up what the two vampires where talking about. Integra sighed in relief, whatever Integra thought was going on certainly wasn't the case.
"Well, since I have both of you here, I might as well address the news properly. We are going to see the king tomorrow at sunset."
Seras face lights up, looking forward to the visit, followed by a grin from Alucard.
"What's the occasion, my master."
"Business. But don't get too excited, there's new rules the Priminister has put in place for both you vampires. Thanks to Seras' previous encounter with him."
Alucard raises an eyebrow and looks down at Seras, who looks away in disgust. Integra had word of the Priminister coming to the meeting as well. There would likely be tension due to both parties having a major dislike for eachother. It was best not to discuss Alucards' situation as it would cause the Priminister to make Integras life more difficult then it already was. Integra brushes the dust off her suit and begins to relight her cigar.
"I shall take my leave, you both may continue to do...whatever it was I interupted."
"You vas listening to zeras and Alucard talking!" Pips voice calls out in the hallway.
Integra darts her gaze immediately at Pip.
"I may have to get you sealed back into Seras if you don't stop yapping Mr Brenadette." Integra snaps.
Alucard let out a chuckle.
"You still got your firey spirit Integra after all these years."
There was an uncomfortable pause between integra and her servant after his statement.
Seras looks to Alucard and then back at Interga, remembering she didn't keep her promise.
"Integra, I am sorry, I know it's my fault I made master disobey your order."
"Not to worry, Seras, since the meeting is tomorrow, I will allow Alucard free rain of the manor again. However, there is one way you can make up for it."
"Oh? What's that, Sir?"
Integra grabs seras collar and shakes her like a rag doll.
"ANSWER THE BLOODY PHONE WHEN I RING YOU!"
"I FORGOT TO CHARGE IT!"
"THAT'S THE THIRD TIME YOU'VE USED THAT EXCUSE!"
"ITS THE TRUTH!"
"I'M NOT AN IDIOT SERAS!"
Alucard was too busy inspecting his new gun to care about the ladies' bickering.
"Master, are these really nessassary." Alucard looks down at Integra, putting a metal pair of cuffs on his wrists.
"I'm afraid so Alucard. The purpose of these is to suppress a vampires power. This law has been put in place for any vampire found in London. His majesty doesn't personally approve of all this. But, the Priminister Mr Airtrot has made sure this law stays."
"Mmm? Whatever happened to the royal family having more power?"
"Times have changed Alucard. Unfortunately, both the government and the public lack respect for the royal family despite them doing good for the people of this country." Integra hits a few buttons activating it.
Alucard already started to feel the changes to his power. His body also felt different, more grounded and normal, it disgusted him. A low growl leaves his lips.
Seras sighs as Integra comes over to put 1 cuff on Seras normal arm. In Seras condition her shadow arm dissappears and she feels Pip being suppressed inside her. It made her feel very vulnerable. Pips not even wrapped around the manor at this moment in time. Their only defence is Britannia.
"Time to go." Says Integra.
Once they arrived at Buckingham Palace, they were escorted to the audience room. Seras was told to wait outside while Integra and Alucard were allowed to enter. Seras smirked as she glanced at the pompous Priminister. He looked far too young to be given the role of Priminister, no older then 30. Arched eyebrows and sharp silver eyes. Along with a questionable broken nose.
Integra was first to enter the room. She looked over to see the King and Priminister close by together while the sofa across from them was for her and Alucard.
"Ah Integra welcome!" The king rises from the chair to shake Integra's hand. His gaze soon turns to Alucard.
"Wow my mother was right, you don't age at all Alucard."
Alucard smirks at the king and goes over to respectfully shake his hand and bow his head.
"You have my deepest condolences on her late Majesty's passing. She was truly a lady of heart and determination. I will never forget her." Alucard states in a clear, soft tone. His words surprised the King, his eyes softened at the grand vampire in front of him.
"Thank you. Your words are highly appreciated."
The primeminister stared at Interga and Alucard the entire time. Seeing the male vampire made his skin crawl.
Integra sat down with Alucard and immediately went for the whiskey already prepared for her on the table.
"Miss Integra i do apologise for this, im afraid our meeting circumstances have changed to what you previously wanted to discuss. Mr Airtrot, may you please fill in the main details to this meeting please." His majesty requested.
"Certainly. As we are all aware of our AI defence and general public AI assistant Britannia. We've recently gone into an investigation that some unknown network has snuck past her security and been trying to hack the police, army, and NHS information. Now, we don't want to assume immediately who the enemy is. But our suspect right now is the Russians from their previous attack on our NHS London Hospitals back in 2024 and the 111 service in 2022."
Interga was in thought for a moment.
"We've been getting increased vampire activity in London all confirmed to be Russian Vampires, maybe there's a possible connection?"
"Maybe. But if that's true they've developed something, could be another form of AI that's disabled Britannia just enough to get past her detection...whatever it is it can't be traced at all, its like a ghost. All we know is that our devices have all confirmed something was poking around."
Integra sighed, feeling this meeting was already a waste of time.
"With all due respect, Priminister, you know my organisation deals with supernatural threats. Not cyber ones."
"And with all due respect Integra, whatever this enermy could be, will likely 'attack' every important organisation in the UK, including Hellsing. Regardless of if you want to be invisible or not, we believe it will find you." His tone seemingly rather short fused which Alucard picks up on. The vampire slightly glares at the Priminister, not liking the attitude he gave to his Master. Mr Airtrot presented a similar vibe to what Father Maxwell was like. Wanting control. This could be a problem.
"This all seems rather amusing." Alucard jumped in, trying his best to keep himself nuteral.
The Priminister glares at the vampire and clenches his jaw to keep himself saying something he shouldn't infront of the king.
"Oh? What are your thoughts on this Alucard?" The King questions to the vampire.
"Simple. It sounds like a diversion."
Mr Airtrot laughs.
"Dont be so daft. Why then? What's the bigger plan vampire?"
"This vampire has a name Mr Airtrot, your English, so have some manners." Integra chipped in.
Alucard stands up with a grin.
"The bigger plan you ask? To have all of you scrambling in worry while the enemy has time to move forward to their main plan of action. This enemy could be anything or anyone. And you're right it's best not to assume the Russians right now, without concrete evidence"
The primeminister frowns at Alucard.
"You speak as if you know how military tactics work."
Alucard walks over to the Priminister, his tall stature towered over him. Alucards eyes danced in glee and kept his cheshirecat grin,
"Oh, but i do, very much so. Tell me Priminister, where did you get all your information from?" His demonic eyes looked deeply into Mr Airtrots fear filled ones.
"I shouldn't have to explain myself to you vampire!" He shouts out at the vampire with little effect.
The king sighs.
"Mr Airtrot could you give me a few moments with Sir Integra and Alucard alone?"
The Priminister looks at the king in surprise then nodded and turned to leave. Alucard returned to his seat but caught something at the corner of his eye. Something shiny on the door just before the Priminister left the room. He tries to contact Seras through their mindlink.
'Police girl, keep an eye on the Priminister, I think he's hiding something.'
Unfortunately, due to the cuffs both vampires were wearing, it was extremely hard for Seras to pick up what her master was saying. At the same time, Seras saw the Priminister walk out the room, his face red in anger, and he stormed off. They exchanged a glance.
"Pleased to see me again?" Seras teased him poking her nose.
"Vampire scum." He roughly muttered as he walks past Seras.
Seras couldn't help but giggle.
Back in the Audience room the King took a breath.
"Well now we have a bit of space for a few moments. There's some information I need to quickly share with you both."
Interga finishes her second glass of whiskey before leaning in to what the King has to share.
"I have a contact that might be able to help you. He was an ex ceo that was employed by Google. He also helped build the project of creating Britannia."
While Seras was outside the room she could hear a faint beeping, but since her vampire senses were dulled down it was hard for her to pinpoint it.
The king continued giving the information.
"...however he quit, he never said why but the staff said something spooked him during Britannias development process."
Integra gets an idea of what the King might be hinting towards.
"Your Majesty, do you think Britannia could be involved?"
"Its a possibility she- it can go rogue. Always be aware Integra. In regards to your increase in vampire attacks, it's best to keep tabs on it for now. Something is brewing, I agree with Alucard this all sounds like a diversion."
Interga looks over at Alucard who seems in thought.
"Alucard?"
"Something doesn't seem right." He muttered.
Seras gets closer to the door leading to the Audience room, the faint beeping continues, getting a slightly faster pace. With great concern, she knocks and opens the door. All three people look over to see Seras head poking through.
"Sorry to disturb you, but I could hear..." She stops and looks at the opposite side of the handle, seeing the source of the noise.
Within seconds, many things happened at once.
