The Next Day,
The five Rangers were back at the spaceship not in the control room, but in another room. This room resembled a typical dojo with the ground being a blue mat, contrasting with the silver metallic walls. A small control panel was placed next to the automatic entrance doors of the room.
In the middle of the room, the five Rangers stood, de-morphed but without their helmets, across Akira and Kaiden. Static was standing next to the control panel.
"Yesterday, Hattori-san and Kudo-san used your secondary weapon; the Neo Striker.", Kaiden said nodding at the blaster in their pouches. Each Ranger pulled out the Neo Striker, especially those who didn't use it, to take a good look. The only difference between them was that each was the color of their Ranger.
"Using the moving button; the Neo Striker can change into two other modes; the Blade Mode which Hattori-san used and the Dagger Mode.", Kaiden said, "The Gun mode is the main form, and when you keep holding the trigger, instead of shooting, an energy rope will extend to be used as a grappling rope.".
"Yeah, they did have everything.", Shinichi commented.
"When they first formed the Neo Savages team, they only had the gun mode.", Static explained, "It was after many battles that more gadgets and improvements were added to be used.".
"The Neo Striker was used by the Rangers for defeating weak opponents, stronger ones will require your primary weapons.", Kaiden added.
Static then moved towards the Rangers. He pressed his left forearm, and the lid opened, revealing a small keyboard, with the lid being a small screen.
"Every team was given a choice to choose their weapons. At first, they had one form, but later, it was agreed that it would be better if a melee weapon could be changed into a ranged weapon.", Static explained as he typed something on the keyboard before he asked, "So now I need to know your weapon's preferences so I can use.".
The teenagers blinked at Static blankly.
"Uhhh... Ya do realize us knowin' how ta use weapons isn't normal here on Earth?", Heiji scratched his temple.
Static blinked before he sweat dropped. 'Oh yeah, Earth isn't like Dragonia.', He realized.
"But you and Kudo-san were using the blade and gun well.", Akira pointed out.
"My father taught me how to shoot in Hawaii.", Shinichi said making Ran give him a look, and he chuckled at her look. Well, he did use that sentence a lot as an explanation for anything strange he could do.
"And I'm a Kendo Champion back in Osaka.", Heiji said proudly, "And I do know how ta use a Samurai Katana.".
"Oh good! So, you guys' preferences are a pistol and a katana.", Static typed on his forearm, "I'll figure out the other two forms for you.".
Static looked at the other three. "Do you guys know how to use anything during fights?", Static changed his question.
Makoto shook his head. "I learned a few as a martial artist, but I don't have any preference.", He said.
"I'll find something suitable for the Geo Element.", Static said.
"I don't know about melee weapons, but I want my ranged weapon to be a sniper rifle.", Masumi said making the other teenagers with Static and Akira look at her bewildered, except Shinichi who raised an eyebrow.
"Where did dat come from?", Heiji asked.
"Nothing, I just know how to use a shotgun, a pistol, and a rifle.", Masumi shrugged, "But I prefer a sniper rifle.". She preferred not to give any explanation but then she noticed Shinichi's look towards her.
"Is there something on my face?", She asked challengingly. She knew quite well from Shinichi's look that he was suspicious of something about her, especially since she kept sticking to him a lot to get the antidote.
"Did you learn how to shoot that from an FBI agent?", Shinichi asked, straight to the point.
"You tell me.", Masumi replied with a smirk making Shinichi narrow his eyes a bit.
Kaiden looked back and forth between the two before focusing back on Shinichi. 'He still has that one thought inside his mind.', Kaiden thought.
"A Bo Staff won't be convenient in attacking robots, but that is my preference.", Ran said, interrupting the tension that came out of nowhere.
Static smiled as he typed on the keyboard, "We can just make it a double-bladed spear, and it will do the same job, maybe even better.". He then closed the lid as he said, "I'll start working on them as soon as possible.".
"Now that we are done with weapons, I need to ask you guys something, what sort of martial arts or sports do you know?", Akira asked.
"Karate mainly, but I know some other fighting styles.", Ran answered.
"Same as Ran-san.", Makoto said.
"Jeet Kune Do.", Masumi said.
"Kendo.", Heiji answered.
"I only played soccer, and I know how to evade some of Ran's kicks.", Shinichi joked making Ran side-eye him.
"Well, you did show some nice dodging out there.", Akira commented, "Anyways, you all will be receiving the same training, but also those who know how to fight will help Kaiden and I teach their style.".
"No.", Shinichi said so suddenly surprising everyone, but not Kaiden.
'Here it comes.', The Edenian thought.
"I don't want them to learn... I don't want them to be on the team... I don't need a team.", Shinichi said seriously, "I need to do this alone.".
A few moments of silence passed before Ran spoke up.
"Shinichi, I think yesterday, we decided for ourselves that we want to do this.", She pointed out.
"This is dangerous, even for you. And I don't want anyone to get hurt.", Shinichi said making Ran scoff.
"You know that I can defend myself way better than you? How many times have I saved you in your life?", Ran pointed out making Shinichi grit his teeth.
"See this is why I mainly didn't want you to know! Because you'll be getting involved and putting your life at risk!", Shinichi cried.
"So? I care about you, and I want to protect you! And you know very well that I can't sit around and just watch people getting hurt.", Ran pointed out again.
"Ran, this is no martial arts tournament, okay? And neither is my situation. I only told you, so you know, not so you start putting your life in danger.", Shinichi said, "You're practically useless here and there, you weren't able to prove me back then, and there is no need to have a crybaby on the team.".
"Oi Kudo! Knock it off!", Heiji said as he grabbed Shinichi's shoulder to stop him from talking.
"I've made it this far on my own, and I can still make it far on my own.", Shinichi insisted arrogantly.
Masumi snorted making Shinichi look at her.
"Yeah, that is why Ran had to risk her life for you. Because you're so good at protecting yourself.", Masumi mocked, "You arrogant liar.".
"You're one to talk Sera... I know I've seen you before, and I know very well that you haven't been to America.", Shinichi said angrily.
Masumi narrowed her eyes. "Oh? And what else do you know, Meitantei?", She challenged.
"Will ya two knock it off?!", Heiji cried before he looked at Shinichi, "Kudo, I get dat you're worried but dat is no way ta voice your concern.".
"You know very well how risky my situation is Hattori, and I didn't even want to get you involved, but now Ran wants to, and Sera keeps on sticking her nose in my business.", Shinichi said.
"Yeah, I noticed dat, ya didn' tell me anythin' new dat happened wid those men since Halloween.", Heiji snorted with an accusing look at Shinichi.
"I shouldn't have gotten you involved Hattori, I shouldn't have gotten anyone involved.", Shinichi shook his head.
Static and Akira looked at each other before they looked back at the bickering teenagers, with Static having a sad look on his face, while Akira was completely confused about the whole situation.
"Fine then.". A cold voice interrupted the three teenagers. The three looked at Ran who had the coldest look ever on her face.
"You don't want a stupid useless crybaby, whom you've been trying to gaslight for the past six months, working with you.", Ran said making Shinichi wince a bit. He was just realizing that he had gone too far with his words.
"Well, I don't want to work with an arrogant gaslighting manipulator who can't even throw a punch like you either.", Ran shot back before she walked silently out of the room.
Masumi glared at Shinichi for a second before she followed Ran.
Heiji let out a heavy sigh. "I'll go check on neechan.", He said as he followed the girls.
Makoto, the only teenager who didn't bicker, and was observing everything silently, looked at Shinichi with a sympathetic look.
Shinichi, still in his burst anger mode, looked at Makoto accusingly. "Got something to say too?", He asked.
Makoto shook his head, "I don't exactly know what situation you are in that the others seem to know.".
"But I do know this.", he said seriously, "Our abilities alone are limited but a team is unstoppable, and even if you were having worries and doubts, this wasn't the best way to voice them.".
Makoto then turned around and left the room leaving a torn Shinichi with the aliens.
Ran walked silently on the beach, tears forming in her eyes for the second time before she wiped them away as she cursed.
'I hate being sensitive... sometimes, I wish I was a cold person so no one can underestimate me or mock me ever again.', She thought bitterly, 'Damn it Shinichi, why did you have to hurt me again?'.
"Ran-kun! Wait up!", Masumi cried as she followed the karateka. But Ran was pissed, and she hated beating around the bush.
"What exactly do you want Sera?", She asked, her tone catching Masumi off guard.
"E-Eh?".
"Look, Shinichi is a forgetful Baka but I'm not. I remember you quite well, we met ten years ago on the beach, you, your brothers, and your mother.", Ran said, "And apparently, your mother resembles that kid I saw you talking to at the hotel.".
Masumi remained silent in surprise; well she never saw that coming.
"That is why you keep sticking to Sonoko and me, right? You just want that antidote from Shinichi to help your mother-", Ran said with a sad look making Masumi shake her hands.
"Woah woah don't go there, okay?!", She cried, interrupting Ran, "Yeah... I did figure out that the kid I met ten years ago, Shinichi, shrunk just like my mother, and that is the main reason I did come to Japan and meet you and Sonoko.".
"But that doesn't mean I'm using you or that you guys are means to an end to me. I mean, I spent more time around you two when Conan isn't around, and I brought you with him to the hotel.",
Masumi pointed out before she became sad, "Look, I'm sorry I lied. I didn't mean that. I thought it would just be something simple, but I ended up befriending you and Sonoko, and you guys are technically my best friends, my only friends.".
Ran stared intently at Masumi's eyes, checking for any lies, before she sighed, feeling guilty about making Masumi feel guilty and sad.
"Gomenasai, Sera-chan.", Ran sighed, "I'm still a bit pissed at Shinichi's words, which made me feel like I shouldn't have forgiven him yesterday, and then you came, and I remembered my thoughts and memories about you and your family, so I lashed out at you. I didn't want that conversation to go like that.".
"Hey, it's okay. We all can get cranky sometimes, especially us girls", Masumi joked making Ran giggle.
"Agreed.". Masumi turned around as Ran looked behind to see Makoto and Heiji approaching.
"Sometimes, Kazuha is good and nice, den all of da sudden she is crazy.", Heiji continued before he looked at Ran, "So he told ya yesterday den, neechan?".
Ran nodded before she smirked at Hattori, "Yeah, and I'd like you to know that one of my pieces of evidence happens to be you calling Conan-kun several times Kudo.".
Heiji blushed in embarrassment while Masumi snickered, and Makoto simply smiled.
Heiji grumbled before he said, "Well, sorry I didn' tell ya about him before neechan.".
"It's okay Hattori-kun, you did what any good friend would do.", Ran said before smiling friendly,
"Besides, you're the first person to tell him that I already know, and waiting for him to tell me, and that he should.".
"It doesn' need a genius ta notice dat.", Heiji said.
"Yeah, even I felt from Ran's interactions with Conan that she already knew.", Masumi nodded in agreement.
"It is still not something normal for anyone to guess easily.", Makoto pointed out making Ran and
Masumi looked at him surprised.
At their surprised looks, Makoto explained, "I went searching for you on the island to check on you, and there I met Hattori-kun. I asked him, and he told me everything.".
"I mean, everyone knows now so why keep him out?", Heiji shrugged. "Besides, a martial artist with an unbeatable record of winning 400 matches like Kyogoku here can benefit us a lot.", He pointed out.
"I don't think that record still stands.", Makoto rubbed the back of his neck, "I didn't attend the previous tournament to meet Sonoko-san's parents and face Kaitou Kid to prove to her parents that I'm good enough.".
"Take notes, Hattori, you might need them for Toyama.", Masumi said with a smirk making Heiji blush while Ran snickered, and Makoto covered his mouth not to prevent the snickering at Heiji's red blushing and angry face.
"I've no idea what da hell are ya talkin' about...", He grumbled, feeling mad about being so easily exposed.
"What you fixed yesterday in minutes with Mouri-san, you ruined today in seconds.", Static said.
"Don't you think you overreacted a bit?", Akira asked.
Shinichi shook his head. "You wouldn't understand.".
"The Black Organization.", Kaiden said making Shinichi look at him with wide eyes, "And your encounters with them, with the law enforcement, is what is making you worried.".
"How... how do you know that?", Shinichi asked confused, completely aware that he never mentioned the Organization at any moment since he arrived here.
"When the Medallions choose, they display to the Sage responsible of guarding them the qualities they represent by showing him or her scenes of the chosen ones, with such qualities.", Kaiden explained, "Like some sort of telepathy. I had seen all your encounters with those men in black, so I know everything.".
"Then you know that no one should be involved.", Shinichi said.
"Probably.", Kaiden shrugged. "You know, I also saw in a common scene between you and Mouri-san, her fighting an organization member. Sure, she would've been defeated eventually, but she held her own well.".
"And I've seen scenes of Hattori-san's cases, and the times he had to use a sword to fight and protect.".
"And I've seen the cases Sera-san used to solve in secret, and that one case that affected her the most and the training she received.".
"And I've seen Makoto's unbeatable strength, and how no criminal nor competitor was able to stand against him.".
"What do you exactly want to say?", Shinichi asked Kaiden a bit confused, but deep down, he guessed what might Kaiden say.
"Kudo-san. Years ago, when they first discovered the Neo Medallions, they were just one golden cylinder gem. When they wanted to use its powers, the gem divided itself into seven equal medallions.", Kaiden explained, "Do you know why?".
At Shinichi's silence, Kaiden answered, "One person couldn't handle that much power and even when one did, he was easily defeated by a team. But when they were divided, the users were practically unstoppable and required greater efforts to be stopped.".
Kaiden walked towards Shinichi and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It is okay to feel worried about losing your loved ones, but like they said, they've made their own choice. So, the best thing to do, instead of pushing them away, is you and they get stronger, so you all can protect yourselves and each other.".
"Remember Kudo-san, United We Stand, Divided We Fall.", Kaiden said.
At that moment, Shinichi felt like a jerk for his words, and an idiot for the way he voiced his worries to his love interest.
The alarm went off in the spaceship, and the monitor screen reappeared on the glass and displayed Gridnoids appearing once again in the city, but this time, they were led by a larger muscular six-armed Gridnoid.
"Looks like Genesis is running out of ideas.", Akira snorted once he saw the larger Gridnoid, "His lead robot monster is a Hexanoid? Really?'".
"Get me there, I will handle him.", Shinichi said.
"But what about-", Static was about to tell Shinichi to wait for his team, but he was interrupted by Kaiden moving towards the control panel and pressing a button to teleport Shinichi there.
"Akira, go find the other Rangers, by walking, not running nor flying nor instantly transmitting.", Kaiden ordered.
"But that may take some time and Kudo-", Akira objected only to be interrupted by Kaiden.
"Will learn his lesson practically until the team arrives.".
Beika City,
Shinichi appeared in a red light in an empty side alley. He activated his morpher form before performing the morphing sequence, "Savage Change!".
And in red light, he transformed into the Savage Red Ranger. He pulled out his Neo Striker and dashed onto the streets, shooting at the Gridnoids in their core just like he once did before, easily eliminating them all.
His triumph was cut short when he shot the Hexanoid's core, only to be surprised that not even a scratch was present on the core.
Suddenly, the Hexanoid dashed towards Shinichi and aimed for a punch. Shinichi dodged him and slammed the back of his gun into the core.
"N-nani?!", Shinichi cried once he saw the core unaffected. The Hexanoid used one of his arms to grab the hand Shinichi held the gun with, before twisting his arm.
Shinichi grimaced as he involuntary let go of the blaster and attempted to throw a punch at the Hexanoid. But he was slow compared to the robot, which is why his fist was caught by one of the Hexanoid's hands easily. Using the remaining hands, the Hexanoid landed several punches at once. Two of his hands were jabbing at Shinichi's face while the other two were striking his chest and stomach. Shinichi bit his tongue at the pain of the punches before letting out a loud cry at a heavy punch in the face, which caused his head to turn sideways.
'K-Kuso... Is that how Ran feels during any fight?!', He thought as he received another punch that caused his head to turn to the other side. Shinichi kicked the Hexanoid in the abdominal muscles, and it did work, as the Hexanoid let go of him from the pain of the kick. But the robot recovered quickly and kicked Shinichi in the abdominal muscles, causing him to fly several feet away. Shinichi cried in pain once he landed hard on his back.
"I need the guys right now...", Shinichi mumbled as he attempted to get up, all while groaning from the punches and the kick he had received.
Suddenly, he heard four voices cry from an alley, "Savage Change!", before the four other Rangers came out and dashed towards Shinichi.
"Guys!", Shinichi exclaimed gladly.
"Shinichi, are you okay?!", Ran cried worriedly, "Akira told us you went alone, and we saw you get beaten.".
"I think I'm now, now that you guys are here.", Shinichi said, "Look, I'm sorry about the way I voiced my concerns and worries. I never meant to hurt anyone. And I think Kaiden didn't teleport you right away so I can learn my lesson practically, and I did.", He said before becoming frustrated and disappointed in himself, "I can't crack that robot's core, it is much stronger, and I am not a fighter in any way like you guys, I am the useless one here.".
"No.", Ran said immediately, "You aren't useless. You can easily learn to fight so that is no problem. And you are the smartest one here, the best one to make plans and figure out solutions for the problem. We aren't the same, everyone excels at something, and this is where you excel. Do you know why no one objected to you being the leader? it is not because Kaiden said so, but because we all believe that you deserve it! So don't you dare be disappointed in yourself, Kudo Shinichi, you hear me?!".
"I don' think I could've voiced my thoughts better dan how neechan did.", Heiji nodded.
Shinichi, however, barely heard Heiji, because he was too busy staring at Ran with admiration and awe. The one person, even when he was Conan, who whenever he felt defeated or down, would be able to bring him back up and snap him out of it, just with a few words. Only she had that ability on him.
She, the girl he had been in love with since he saw her smile back in kindergarten.
"I hate to interrupt, but we have a Hexanoid on our hands to deal with.", Masumi spoke up pulling Shinichi out of his thoughts.
Shinichi looked at the Hexanoid to see him slowly approaching the Rangers as if it were calculating its moves.
"His core isn't as weak as the Gridnoids, so it will need some heavy hits from our Neo Strikers.", Shinichi said, "And he is much faster and stronger too, so we avoid his attacks.".
"His arms will be troublesome too.", Ran said making Shinichi nod.
"And this is what the plan is based on. We will work on pulling off all his arms before each of us takes a shot at the core. When Heiji cuts off the first right arm, Masumi will appear to tear off the left one. He'll turn to Masumi so Heiji will cut off the second right arm, I'll be the bait to make sure he falls into our trick. He might jump backward to evade any more attacks and use his core to strike. During Heiji and Masumi's assault, the rest of us will run from the alleys and appear behind him, so when he jumps backward, the three of us will strike him using the blade to cut off the remaining arms. Then all of us at once, start shooting at the core until it explodes.", Shinichi explained making the others nod at him before the five stood side by side.
The Hexanoid remained walking before it sprinted to the dash, and at that moment, Shinichi cried, "Now!".
Shinichi charged toward the Hexanoid, Ran, and Makoto ran into opposite alleys, while Heiji and Masumi pulled out their Neo Striker and changed them into their blade forms, then charged behind Shinichi.
The Hexanoid raised both his first fists to strike Shinichi, but the Red Ranger jumped and front-flipped above the Hexanoid, confusing the robot for a second. Heiji took the chance and moved his blade diagonally, cutting off the first arm.
"Now ya are a Pentanoid!", Heiji mocked as the robot turned towards him and raised his first left fist to strike, but Masumi moved her blade upwards, cutting off that arm.
"Make it Quadranoid!", She mocked.
Just as the robot looked at her, Heiji swung his sword again, and cut off the second left arm, "Now, he is a Trinoid!".
As Shinichi expected, the robot jumped backward a few feet before he raised his remaining arms sideways, and his red core started glowing more, as he was charging his blast. The Hexanoid's eyes widened once he felt three sharp blades cutting off his remaining arms. He turned around swiftly, to see Shinichi, Ran, and Makoto, with their Neo Striker Blades in hand.
"You forgot about us.", Makoto pointed out as he and the others changed their sidearms into their blaster modes.
"Let's finish him!", Shinichi cried as he and the Rangers started shooting at the Hexanoid in his core, front and back, before it exploded into several pieces.
"Now dat is what I call teamwork!", Heiji cheered before the ground beneath them started to shake, shocking them.
"Is that an earthquake?!", Masumi cried before she and the others noticed the pieces of the Hexanoids reassembled and grew into a large fifty-meter-tall robot monster.
The Neomatrix's communicator button glowed and the Rangers' pressed it.
"Rangers, it is time to meet your Zords.", Kaiden said through the communicator.
"The what?", Shinichi asked confused.
"Mecha robots, capable of growing into the same size as this monster, combine to form your Megazord.", Akira added.
"Press the vehicle button and cry Savage Zord Unleash, then when you pilot them, you will find a button on the panel with the image of a large robot, press it, and say Zords combine. You will then form the Savage King Megazord, Partial Formation.", Static added.
The Rangers pressed the green vehicle button and cried, "Savage Zord, Unleash!".
The button glowed for a few seconds before a white beam shot out of the watches, and a small colored robots came out of the watch before dashing into the sky in their colored lights. The lights then grew and changed shape into five different animals; a red Lion, a yellow Tiger, a blue Snake, a pink Eagle, and a black Bull. The lights disappeared, revealing the Savage Zords. The Savage Lion Zord resembled the Wild Force Lion Zord. The Savage Tiger Zord resembled the Jungle Fury Tiger Zord but with red eyes. The Savage Serpent Zord resembled a blue sea serpent with red eyes and sharp silver scales and fangs. The Savage Eagle Zord resembled the Wild Force Eagle Zord, but all pink with a gold beak and green eyes. The Savage Bison Zord resembled the Green Zeo Ranger's Zord but with red eyes, golden horns, and silver hooves.
The Rangers then teleported into their respective Zords cockpits, present inside the top of the Zord's head. From the outside, the cockpit was colored gold and may seem like an accessory of the Zord. The cockpit had silver walls and matte black ground, with the Rangers sitting in the middle on a silver chair, the chair hands each had an arm to control the Zord's movement. In front of them was a control panel with numerous buttons, except in the middle, where a large screen was present. The Rangers could perfectly see through the glass as if they were standing on the top of their Zords' head.
"Oh God, This is so cool!", Masumi cried as she piloted her flying Eagle Zord.
"As someone who used to watch Mazinger and Grendizer, this is epic!", Heiji cried. The cockpit had an automatic communicator installed between the Zords, so everyone could hear what was happening in each cockpit.
"Guys! Focus!", Makoto cried.
"Makoto is right, let us combine!", Shinichi said before he spotted a gold button next to the screen that had the image of a standing robot.
The Rangers pressed it before they all cried, "Zords combine!".
The Lion zord folded its arms, legs, and tails inside its body. The Tiger, Eagle (even with its wings), and Bison Zord did the same. The Bison zord and the Serpent zord (which required no folding), stood on the ground, with their heads acting as feet. The Lion zord attached to both ofthem, acting as the chest, with the Zord's head present on the top. The Tiger zord attached to the Lion's right, its head moving upwards, and a silver hand coming out of the body, forming the right arm. The Eagle zord attached to the Lion's left and performed the same sequence as the Tiger zord. Two larger Gold Neo Strikers, big enough for the Megazord, were attached to both the mecha's sides. The Lion Zord opened its mouth and a silver face with a mouthpiece and green eyes appeared.
The Rangers now sat inside the Lion's head, but the cockpit was much larger and oriented differently. It was the same style in design as before but now Shinichi sat in the middle, with his control panel. Behind him, a step above were Ran and Heiji in the same orientation but Ran on his right and Heiji on his left. In front of him a step-down, on his right, was Masumi in the orientation, and on his left, was Makoto in the same orientation. The control panels, instead of being colored silver like they were, were colored in their respective colors, and so was the seat. Only the walls were silver while the ground was matte black.
"Savage King Megazord Partial Formation! Ready!", the Rangers cried as the Megazord raised its arms in a boxing stance.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine myself in something like this.", Ran mumbled in awe.
"I love being a Power Ranger.", Masumi added.
"Let's kick some giant butt.", Shinichi smirked, feeling the adrenaline rush through his veins from the new experience.
The Hexanoid narrowed its eyes before it charged toward the Megazord with all his arms outstretched. The Megazord knelt, avoiding being grabbed by the Hexanoid before pushing the Hexanoid hard above and behind, throwing the Hexanoid behind the Megazord. The Megazord turned around and stood in the same stance, waiting for the groggy robot monster to get up.
"I think we made him mad.", Ran said as she noticed the robot getting up and charging his core to strike.
"Then let's make him madder.", Shinichi smirked as the Megazord grabbed both Neo Strikers.
The robot shot a laser beam from its chest toward the Megazord. The Megazord jumped sideways and raised its blasters, and shot several times at the Hexanoid, destroying its eyes. The Hexanoid stood confused as it grabbed its face, trying to understand why he couldn't see anymore.
The Megazord got up and changed the Strikers into sword mode before it ran towards the Hexanoid, swung both swords in several directions before it swung it one last time diagonally as it dashed forward, standing behind the Hexanoid.
A few moments later, the Hexanoid was destroyed into several pieces before they all exploded, as the Megazord posed in victory with its blades.
The Rangers cheered in their cockpits with Shinichi saying proudly, "Savage Rangers, victory is ours.".
The Spaceship,
The Rangers were back, de morphed, but now in the control room, and with some new guests.
Their Zords were now the size of their palms flying around them in excitement.
"I thought they could only grow big.", Makoto asked as he raised his palm, and the Bison zord stood on it.
Heiji was poking his Serpent zord only for it to fly on and poke him back on the head, making the Ranger glare at him, and the zord fake-glared back.
"When they were made, they were based on animals from Planet Elementia, capable of manipulating their elements, so yes, Planet Elementia had fire-breathing Lions and lightning Tigers. The Zords were made based on and with their memories and mindset stored in, the strongest of those animals back in the day. All were males but the Tiger and the Eagle, coincidentally.", Kaiden explained.
"They were provided with an artificial intelligence so you'll find them acting like pets but a bit smarter. They have several sizes, you saw the Zord mode, and this is their Store mode, as they are stored inside the Neomatrix, using Nanomechanics to be even smaller. And then there is the Partner mode, where they are the size of the average Human.", Static explained, "Oh, and whatever they say, you can understand because of the connection between you and them, caused by the Neo Matrix and the Medallions.".
Ran, who was petting the head of her Tiger zord, who was purring, asked Static in curiosity, "Can we name them?".
The three aliens looked confused while the Zords looked at their Rangers in surprise.
"Why?", Akira asked confused.
"I mean.", Masumi decided to answer as stared at the Eagle standing on her right shoulder, "You said they have artificial intelligence. So, they have their mind and feelings, so they deserve a name.". Ran nodded at Masumi with a smile because that is what she wanted to do.
"Yeah, some kids name their teddy bears and toys when they are nothing but plastic, but those aren't, so I think they should get their name.", Shinichi added as he looked at the Lion Zord floating in front of him.
Kaiden just smiled at the Rangers' idea before he shrugged, "Since they do have their mind, you have to ask them, not us.".
"I'll be callin' ya Azure, what do ya think?", Heiji started as he raised the fist bump. The Serpent Zord nodded before he bumped into Heiji's fist, agreeing to his new name.
"Suzaku sounds good, doesn't it?", Masumi asked her Zord on her shoulder. The Eagle nodded and flapped its wings in agreement.
"I think the name Leon fits you perfectly.", Shinichi said with the Lion Zord nodding in agreement.
"I'm not good at names.", Makoto rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. The Bison zord just moved his head slightly up, as if shrugging, not exactly in a rush to earn a name now.
Before Makoto remembered something and smiled at the Zord, "How about Taurus?". The Bison nodded in agreement.
"How about Raiga? Lightning Fang?", Ran asked the Tiger Zord with a smile making it nod in agreement.
"So, is there anything else we need to know before we leave?", Shinichi asked, suddenly in a hurry.
"When you press the vehicle button, the same light beam will appear, and the Zords will touch it, and then they will return to the Neomatrix.", Akira said, "Your weapons will be ready in a week. Until then, we will start working on your Martial Arts. When you get your weapons, we will start practicing your elements.".
"One last thing. The rules of being a Power Ranger; 1. Never use your power for personal gain. 2. Never escalate a battle unless you are forced to. 3. Keep your identities secret unless you have no other choice.", Kaiden added.
Masumi blinked a few moments before she shrugged. 'Let's see how long I'll be able to keep my secret from her.', she thought.
"Okay.", Shinichi said taking a deep breath before he spoke up, "I'm sorry about my outburst today. I voiced my concerns and worries in the most stupid way ever. Hattori, I'm sorry I kept you out when I've made it clear before that I'll tell you everything.".
"Ya damn right ya should.", Heiji said but with a friendly smile.
"Kyogoku-san, I assume Hattori told you since you seem to understand, but I'm sorry for the way I said I didn't want you on the team.", Shinichi said looking at Makoto.
"It's okay Kudo-kun, I understand everything, and I'm just glad you've learned your lesson.", Makoto smiled back friendly making Shinichi nod before he looked at a skeptical Masumi.
"Sera, I'm sorry about my doubts to you. It's just that you've been snooping around me, and it has gotten me worried. And I'm sorry about the way I lashed out at you and called you a liar.", He said.
Masumi just smiled, "Hey it's okay. The life we live has forced us to hide some stuff, and friends do have stupid fights. I mean, I wouldn't take a bullet for someone I hate or dislike, right?".
Shinichi just smiled widely at her, remembering that day she risked her life for him and took the bullet from the sniper. "So still friends, right?", He asked as he raised his hand.
Masumi shook his hand without a second thought as she smiled, showing her sharp tooth, "Definitely!".
Shinichi then focused solely on Ran. He looked even more guilty than before. "I'm sorry about everything, my lies, my way of voicing my worries, and what I called you. I never meant to hurt you by any means.", he said with a heavy voice before he said with a voice full of emotion.
"I love you. Always did. Always will.".
If someone dropped a pin, everyone would hear its sound from the silence. Everyone else, including the Zords, looked at Ran in interest, waiting for her response.
"I already told you I've forgiven you. And as for what happened today, I think you learned your lesson.", Ran added before she walked toward Shinichi.
And kissed him on the cheek.
"And I love you too. Always have, and always will.", she said with her face blushing.
Shinichi's face went completely red before he had the happiest smile on his face, "So we're together?".
"Yeah, we are.", Ran nodded, her blush deepening.
"YAHOO! NEECHAN AN KUDO ARE TOGETHER!", Heiji cheered, snapping Ran and Shinichi out of their romantic moment.
And that is when Shinichi realized that he didn't take Ran outside, but rather confessed in front of six other people, and five robots. Now his blush deepened but out of embarrassment.
"That was so much better than watching a romance movie.", Akira teased while Kaiden just smiled, remembering his teenage years, Static just sighed, moved by the scene in front of him. The Zords, however, just shrugged, since they didn't understand the big deal.
"That should've happened a long time ago.", Makoto chuckled.
"Took you long enough.", Masumi teased Ran as she lightly elbowed her.
"Sera-chan!".
Shinichi snapped out of his embarrassment as he noticed the honorific Ran used. "Wait, so we all here are friends, right? I think we should drop the honorific then.", He voiced his thoughts.
"Couldn't have said it better.", Masumi agreed.
"I'm still callin' ya Kudo, an da same goes wid Kyogoku, an maybe Sera sometimes.", Heiji pointed out.
"Good idea, Static-san sounds weird.", Static said.
"Call me Akira then, and don't use Sensei with me.", Akira added before he smirked at Shinichi, "I assume you should start figuring out nicknames for your girlfriend.".
Shinichi and Ran blushed at Akira's words but the other Rangers covered their mouths to prevent their snickering. Shinichi then glared at Akira, "Knock it off Akira.", He ordered.
"Or wha-OI!", Akira almost said but was interrupted by Raiga and Leon constantly poking him in the head. He tried to shoo them away, but they would evade his hand.
"Tell them to knock it off!", Akira said pissed off.
Static decided to answer, "Either you let them poke you 100 times, or I'll tell them about your Human girlfriend.".
Akira yelped while Shinichi smirked. "So, you have a girlfriend, eh?.", He asked.
"No, he's lying!", Akira answered immediately, his face blushing hard.
"Den why are ya blushing?", Heiji decided to join the teasing.
"Okay okay! The Zords can poke me 100 times!", Akira said making the teenagers laugh at him.
"All 5.", Static added. Akira almost objected until he saw the look on Static's face. He slumped and sat on the ground.
"Okay... do as you please.", he said in defeat as he accepted his fate while the teenagers and Static started laughing.
Kaiden just observed the scene with a warm smile on his face. It had been years since he had seen Static and Akira that happy with other people, other than him.
And he hoped that he would continue to see that happiness not just on their faces, but on the Rangers' too.

I always thought that since Zords can react or move like how in Samurai, then they should have names too..
Anyways, I just want to point out something, Aoyama-sensei focused more on random fillers and Shinichi only, when I honestly believe the fillers could've been used to show some stories about other characters.
Thus, I've written different storylines that fit with the character that weren't in canon, and some, if not all, are my headcanons.
