A/N: Finally, we have the next chapter of this story up and posted.
One Piece: Adventures of the East Blue Sea
Chapter 13: Famous Diva!; Uta Performing at the Sea Restaurant"
Act I
One day, the Straw Hats were going about their business. Atreyu was at the wheel while Nami was reading and Usopp was rubbing his slingshot clean while Zoro was sleeping. As for Salvia, she was standing guard in front of the fridge in the kitchen.
"Well, it seems like I got it covered, but knowing Luffy, he'd still try to stretch his arms around me and open the fridge anyway...", Salvia groaned.
Fortunately, she had a few apples with her on hand, quite literally.
"It's a good thing Luffy's more mindful about which food is mine, though."
So, she ate a few. When she did, she did grow bigger and larger, but just enough to act as a wall guarding the fridge, especially without putting too much pressure on the ship, at that.
"There. Now, nobody's gonna steal anything from this fridge with me around.", Salvia smirked.
Meanwhile, Kaya was in her quarters reviewing medical practices, techniques, and medicine.
"A pirate and a doctor... Who knew it was possible to become both?", Kaya asked to herself in wonder.
Meanwhile, Luffy was carrying a sort of heavy crate and set it down, catching both Usopp and Nami by surprise.
"Sucker's heavy...!", Luffy sighed in relief.
"What the heck is that?", Nami asked.
"Found it in the storeroom.", Luffy replied.
Nami inspected the crate and found what was inside.
"It's a crate full of cannonballs.", Nami realized.
"I figured since we have our own cannon now, we could get in some target practice.", Luffy explained simply.
Usopp chuckled.
"Just leave the cannoning to me.", Usopp offered. "I harken back to the time I was 3 years old and jumped on a passing cannonball riding it halfway around the world..."
"So, how do you work this thing?", Luffy puzzled.
Usopp was quite annoyed that Luffy wasn't paying attention.
"HEY, LISTEN!"
Curious, he turned to Zoro and shouted.
"Zoro! You know how to shoot this?", Luffy asked.
But Zoro was still asleep.
"Uh, Luffy? Zoro's asleep.", Atreyu said, maintaining his grip on the wheel.
"The guy sleeps constantly.", Nami added.
"He's no fun...", Luffy commented.
"You know, just to the south of here is a reef that would make for some excellent target practice.", Nami stated.
"Then, let's go! For real, guys! What are we standing around here for? That sounds awesome!", Luffy spoke excitedly.
Atreyu grinned as Luffy and Usopp spoke excitedly over each other.
"You're not gonna go piloting the cannon without me! You know what people used to call me? They used to call me 'Cannon Master Usopp'!", Usopp boasted proudly with laughter of gusto.
Moments later, Luffy and Usopp were manning the cannon and firing it as one cannonball was fired, waking Zoro up and missing a nearby island at the same time, Kaya's wolf ears wiggled from the sound.
"What was that?", Kaya puzzled.
Curious, the hybrid she-wolf peeped from the door and saw Luffy and Usopp just as Zoro saw turned and looked down toward them.
"That was way off the mark!", Luffy commented.
"Hey, what's so loud down there?", Zoro asked.
"Cannon firing practice. But it's not going very well.", Luffy said sadly.
"Like I said, let the expert aim the thing.", Usopp said.
He then aimed the cannon at a certain direction as he spoke.
"Judging from the flying distance of the last one, this should do it. FIRE!", Usopp shouted before the cannon fired and this time, hit a rock island, splitting hit in half in a horizontal manner.
"Awesome! You hit that thing on the first try!", Luffy shouted.
"Whoa! Our cannonballs do that much damage against an island?!", Atreyu shouted in surprise.
"Wow, I did... What you think? I'm pretty magnificent when it comes to aiming. So, are you impressed yet?", Usopp asked.
"Yeah, you better believe it! So, it's all settled. You'll be our sniper.", Luffy grinned.
"Wait, I don't get to be captain?", Usopp asked.
"No, I'm still the captain!", Luffy replied, the she-wolf giggling from what she was both seeing and hearing.
Moments later, Luffy, Usopp, Nami, and Salvia were in the kitchen with Zoro close by inside, just sitting down on his laps.
"Whatever. I'll humor you for now. But the second you do something cowardly, I'm taking your post.", Usopp said.
"I can live with that. But, you know, guys, I was thinking. There's one other position we have to fill before we can head out for the grand line.", Luffy responded.
"You're right. The kitchen is really nice on this ship. Just... pay me and I'll do it.", Nami agreed.
But Salvia gave her a deadpan look.
"Yeah, that's not what Luffy's thinking... Still, the kitchen IS nice.", Salvia agreed.
"Suppose it is vital for long trips.", Zoro concurred.
"No decent pirate ship should be without one: a musician.", Luffy stated.
Naturally, this earned scolds from everyone except Salvia, who saw it coming.
"Ugh, are you an idiot?!", Zoro spoke distastefully.
"What do you think we're doing out here?", Nami asked.
"Just when I thought you were gonna say something smart...", Usopp sighed.
"But we're pirates! And pirates sing a lot, didn't you know?", Luffy asked as meanwhile, Atreyu noticed someone climbing up the ship and becoming a bit puzzled, if not worried.
"Speaking of musician, I wonder how Uta's doing right now.", Salvia said.
"Salvia, for the last time: Uta. Hates. Pirates. Why would she join our crew?", Nami asked.
"Depends. Do you know why I was so attached to my friendship necklace back on that island where we fought Captain Buggy?", Salvia asked, making Nami gasp as she remembered.
"Monster...! No one damages my lucky hat and walks away from it alive...!", Luffy threatened.
"The same goes for my bracelet, too! A friend gave that to me a long time ago with a vow to join either one's crew if we meet again someday!", Salvia tensed, puzzling Buggy.
"THEY'RE OUR ONLY TREASURE! AND ANYONE WHO LAYS SO MUCH AS A FINGER ON THEM ARE GONNA PAY!", Luffy and Salvia threatened in unison.
Then, it went back to the present.
"Oh, yeah. I've been meaning to ask, but I didn't want to come off as heartless."
"Well, now you can ask away.", Salvia grinned.
"Why is it that you went berserk after Buggy tore up your bracelet?", NAMI asked.
"Because, it's a reminder of the promise Uta and I made.", Salvia responded, looking toward her now stitched and repaired friendship bracelet.
Then, it flashed back to said promise.
"Oh, that's right! There was something I wanted to give you before I go.", Uta said.
"What is it?", Salvia asked before giving her a white bracelet.
"A bracelet?", Salvia asked.
"Not just any bracelet. It's the symbol of our vow! If either one of us isn't in our own crew, then one of us will join that crew.", Uta vowed.
Salvia grinned before then giving doing a pinky swear with her.
"It's a vow!", Salvia grinned.
Back to the present...
"Okay... But, still, that promise was made a long time ago. And people change when you least expect it.", Nami warned.
"Uta wouldn't; we were the best of friends growing up.", Salvia retorted.
"I still stand by what I said.", Nami responded, making Salvia growl with a grumble.
Suddenly, someone stomped onto the deck and kicked away at one of the barrels.
"Get out here, you blasted pirates!", a man shouted, puzzling everyone who heard the noise.
Puzzled, the Straw Hats looked out the window. At the same time, Atreyu went over to the man who called out the straw hats.
"Hey! You mind taking it easy with those barrels? What are you even doing here?", Atreyu asked.
"Shut up! What I'm doing here means nothing, except that I'm here to take your head, you ya stinkin' pirate!", the man shouted before moving in to attack only for Atreyu to dodge and duck the sword headed for him.
"Hey, guys. How many are there?", Zoro asked.
"Uh..., one.", Nami replied.
"Huh? What could be going on there?", Salvia puzzled.
"I wanna see, too.", Luffy said, trying to squeeze his way through to see what's up.
"Okay, what's your deal here?", Atreyu asked.
"Over the years, I've lost count of all the pirate heads we've taken, and now, you guys think you can kill my partner?!", the man only snapped before attacking, and missing, again, damaging the ship in the process.
Of course, having heard the voice, Zoro was a bit surprised.
"That voice...", Zoro said.
Meanwhile, Atreyu stared at the man with almost beastly red eyes, spooking him before he grabbed the man.
"This is my sister's ship! I don't know why you decided to come after me, but I'm not about to let you wreck it!", Atreyu shouted before tossing the man toward a wall, just enough for him to hit the wall and then droop down on the ground.
Only afterwards, though, Atreyu noticed his claws sticking out and retracted them.
"Let's hope he didn't notice these...", Atreyu said to himself.
At that point, Zoro went out the door and saw the man himself.
"Johnny? Tell me that isn't you.", Zoro said in surprise.
Johnny looked up and saw Zoro's silhouette just above the wooden rails.
"Huh? Who's sayin' my name like they think they know me or somethin'?", Johnny asked.
But the moment Johnny took a closer look, he shot up in shock.
"Big bro Zoro!", Johnny shouted just as Kaya, in wolf hybrid form, though slowly turning human, stepped out and saw what was going on.
"It seems like that man knows Zoro. What kind of history do these two have?", Kaya puzzled.
Meanwhile, in a marine ship, a lightly tanned man with light lavender hair was pouring a glass of wine for a blonde-haired woman.
"So..., dearest. Fess up, where are you taking me?"
"Darling, this place is great. Trust me, okay?", the man assured.
"So mysterious. Well, it's not a restaurant in the middle of the ocean, is it?", the woman asked.
The man simply chuckled with the two doing a toast.
"Here's to your beauty."
As they clinked their glasses, the man was revealed to have a metallic knuckle bracer with four screws driven down, one for each knuckle.
"Just wait until you see this place."
Meanwhile, Zoro was quite surprised by the unexpected reunion with Johnny just as perturbed.
"Johnny! It IS you."
"What are YOU doin' here, big bro? Why are you on a pirate ship? What's goin' on around here?", Johnny asked.
"Hey, relax. Is everything okay? Where's Yosaku? Isn't he with you?", Zoro asked.
"Well...", Johnny began.
As Johnny explained, Luffy, Nami, and the others seemed a bit surprised.
"Hey, look. Zoro knows that guy.", Usopp said.
"Yeah, like best friends.", Salvia added.
"What's going on here?", Nami asked.
"What's going on? Do these guys know each other or somethin'?", Luffy puzzled.
Meanwhile, Kaya overheard what Johnny was saying as her ears shook a bit and gasped.
"Oh, no...!", Kaya spoke in worry.
It turns out that Yosaku was laying down on a boat, sickly pale and with an open wound bandaged together.
"H-He's been sick...!", Johnny spoke in worry before whimpering as Zoro put his hand on Johnny's hand, offering his condolences.
Later, the sick Yosaku was brought to the ship, breathing raspily as the straw hats gathered around him.
"What is it?", Zoro asked.
"Up until a few days ago, he was healthy and full of life. And now? He keeps fainting and getting really pale! I have no idea what's causing it!", Johnny explained as Kaya cautiously left the room, morphing back into full human form. "His teeth have been falling out and his own wound opened up and started bleeding! He just got worse and worse; I didn't know what to do!"
"That's awful...!", Salvia spoke in worry.
"It's that bad?", Atreyu asked.
"Uh-huh! So, I thought, 'Maybe we just rest on a little island, but then...!", Johnny began.
It then went to a flashback on when they went to said island. But the island was suddenly felled by a cannonball.
"A cannonball came flying from this ship!"
It turned out that Luffy and Usopp inadvertently put Johnny and Yosaku in danger and gasped in horrible realization. At that point, Nami walked over to the others as did Kaya, the two girls catching up to the others.
"We're very sorry!", the two pirates apologized.
"Sorry isn't good enough...", Johnny said, making the two blanch in horror.
"Isn't that right..., partner...?!", Johnny sniffled before he turned to Zoro.
"Big Bro... Give it to me straight... Is he gonna die...?", Johnny asked sadly.
Zoro could only tense in worry. But then Kaya spoke up as she and Nami stepped forward.
"Excuse me.", Kaya spoke up, prompting everyone to turn to see her and Nami nearby.

"Can we help you?", Kaya asked.
"Please, anything!", Johnny pleaded.
A moment afterward, Kaya carefully inspected Yosaku for a moment.
"It's just as I thought. Luffy, Usopp, I need you two to hurry over to the storage room and grab all the limes you can, stat!", Kaya urged.
In a panic, the two rushed over to the storage room together, but got stuck, fighting over who goes in first until they both wound up crashing inside. Even later, Kaya was gently crushing the limes enough to allow its juices to enter inside Yosaku's mouth.
"I'm afraid Yosaku has scurvy.", Kaya sadly diagnosed.
"Scurvy?", Johnny puzzled.
"If we weren't too late, he would've been just fine in a few days. But now? It'll take even longer for him to fully get better.", Kaya explained.
"But he'll get better right?", Johnny asked.
"Hopefully, he will. Thing is, scurvy used to be a hopeless disease that plagued sailors everywhere. Now, we know how to deal with it. It's actually caused by a deficiency of plant-derived nutrients, like Vitamin C. Back then, they couldn't carry fresh fruits or vegetables because they couldn't store them. Like I said before, we know better.", Kaya replied.
"So, that's what scurvy's like, huh?", Luffy asked.
"Well, it's a good thing we had those limes with us when we did. Of course, they were in storage, but still.", Usopp began.
Kaya nodded in agreement.

But Suddenly, Yosaku spat out the limes and sat up, covered in lime juice, surprising everyone, even Kaya.
"Hurray, hurray! Hurray, hurray! Hurray, hurray! Hurray, hurray!", Johnny and Yosaku chanted excitedly as they danced around, holding each other by one arm.
"The nutrients cured me!", Yosaku spoke excitedly.
"Now, you're all better!", Johnny added excitedly.
"You can't heal that quickly!", Salvia spoke, annoyedly, if not worriedly.
"I'm glad you're excited, but please take it easy! You should be resting!", Kaya urged in worry before the two pirate hunters stopped dancing and then faced the crew.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves.", the two spoke in unison.
"My name is Johnny.", Johnny introduced.
"And I'm Yosaku.", Yosaku added.
"Together, we're the baddest pirate bounty-hunting duo in the world.", the two said together.
"Really? You guys are pirate hunters?", Salvia asked.
"Big Bro Zoro, there, used to be one of us.", Johnny explained.
"Glad to make your acquaintance.", Yosaku said.
"Small world. Never thought I'd see you guys again.", Zoro admitted, walking over to his two friends.
"Well, if you think you're surprised...", Johnny began.
"We never imagined that the pirate hunter Zoro became a pirate himself.", Yosaku added.
"Tell me about it.", Zoro grinned, holding out his hand.
"Big bro.", Johnny said, grabbing Zoro's hand.
However, when Yosaku attempted to join in, he suddenly stopped and then collapsed forward, worrying both Zoro and Johnny.
"Hey! Partner?", Johnny asked in worry.
"I did tell you that you need some rest...", Kaya sighed.
"It's gonna take a while...", Atreyu sighed.
Later, at night, Yosaku was being treated again. But this time, he was at least well enough to see and talk.
"I've been meaning to ask. How did you guys get Alvida to join you?", Yosaku asked.
"Huh? Alvida?", Kaya puzzled.
"Yeah, that big plump girl, over there.", Yosaku replied.
Kaya saw where he was pointing and saw Salvia.
"I think you might be mistaking her for someone else. She's actually Salvia.", Kaya replied.
"Really? You're not pulling my leg over her not being Alvida, are you?", Yosaku asked.
"No. I don't think Alvida would be wearing a special bracelet around her wrist.", Kaya replied, pointing it out toward said bracelet around Salvia's wrist, recently stitched back together ever since the Orange Town incident. "She says a special friend gave it to her."
"Huh... Never noticed that or heard that about her before...", Yosaku admitted.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group were in the kitchen, the ship anchored to the sea.
"Let this be a lesson to you.", Nami advised.
"Yeah, this is the kind of trouble you run into when choose a life on the sea...", Zoro agreed.
"Which means when we're at sea, we really gotta think about how we can get the right amount of nutrients with very little food.", Usopp concurred.
"It's absolutely necessary that someone on the ship knows how to do that.", Nami stated.
Luffy was eating from some bread as he listened in.
"It's necessary?", Luffy asked.
"Ah, of course, it is, Luffy!", Salvia groaned.
Fortunately, Luffy realized something as he swallowed.
"Right! The ship needs a cook! Let's go find us a cook.", Luffy advised.
"I'm in. Good idea. We'll have yummy food even while we're out at sea.", Usopp agreed as Kaya and Nami grinned, as did Salvia.
"That's right; you got it!", Luffy beamed before chuckling.
"A cook? I know just the place. And both the food and the show is gonna blow your mind.", Johnny stated.
"Really?", Salvia asked.
"All right! Let's go! Where to?', Luffy asked.
"Consider yourselves warned. This place is close to the Grand Line. And I've heard a lot of rumors lately. That a certain lost family member is currently hiding there with her family in hot pursuit searching for her, so I advise you to be careful.", Johnny warned.
"Uh..., not sure why you needed to warn us about that, but thanks.", Atreyu thanked.
"What's more, someone is rumored to put on a show consistently at this place. Always keepin' em at ease with her singing. They say her songs always fill them with peace and joy.", Johnny said.
"Huh? Wait. Don't tell me that...!", Salvia gasped in realization.
"That's right. She goes by the name of Princess Uta.", Johnny replied.
Hearing that was an excitement for Salvia, who gasped elatedly.
"Set a course. North Northeast!", Johnny shouted, pointing the way.
"Yes!", Nami thought.
"Awesome!", Usopp thought.
Luffy just chuckled.
"No way! She actually goes there?! I've always wondered how she was doing!", Salvia thought with a grin.
"Look out, Princess Uta! Monkey D. Luffy and Salvia are coming for you!", Salvia shouted.
The next day, the ship sailed until a sea restaurant was finally in plain sight.
"Our destination is... the Sea Restaurant... BARATIE!", Johnny shouted, astonishing the crew. "So..., what do you think?"
The crew gave happy reactions as Yosaku opened the door and peeped out, looking quite eager himself.
"Wow, it's a big fish!", Luffy shouted excitedly.
"How lovely.", Nami beamed.
"It looks so beautiful!", Kaya added.
"You kidding? Beautiful doesn't begin to cover it!", Atreyu added.
"I'm already so hungry it feels like my belly is a bottomless pit...!", Salvia added.
"This is the coolest place ever!", Usopp shouted.
"Just like I told ya, right?", Johnny asked.
Just then, a voice rang out.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the Baratie, welcome, we thank you for coming, please give a warm and happy welcome to the Princess of Music herself, PRINCESS UTA!", the manager shouted as the stage happened to arrive near the Baratie as well.
As the stage drew closer, Salvia spotted Uta's bracelet around her wrist.
"That IS her!", Salvia beamed.
As Uta sang, everyone who heard her singing was instantly enthralled, excited, and/or just happy in general (which was the case with the head honcho of the restaurant named Red-Foot Zeff, not to mention the tanned man and his date.

"Well, I'll say one thing. That Uta knows how to put on a good show.", the tanned man said.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Salvia were all the more excited.
"Mm-hmm. That's Uta, all right!", Salvia beamed excitedly before Luffy jumped up towards the stage, surprising his crewmates.
"Luffy...!", Usopp spoke.
"Hey, wait for me!", Salvia exclaimed, following after Luffy.
"Come on, you, too?", Zoro asked.
It was then that both Luffy and Salvia appeared in front of Uta.
"Aha! So, it is you!", Luffy grinned, puzzling Uta.
"Uta, been a while, huh? Come on, look! It's us!", Luffy shouted.
"You even gave me this white bracelet when we saw each other last.", Salvia added.
"I don't...", Uta began before gasping as the two rings of her hair went up like rabbit ears in surprise.
"It can't be... Salvia?! Luffy?!", Uta exclaimed.
"There ya go. Good to see ya.", Luffy grinned.
"Salvia! Luffy!", Uta shouted before hugging the two friends with a giggle.
Of course, seeing this interaction from the ship was a surprise for Johnny and Yosaku, but given what she told Salvia earlier, Nami was the most surprised as she exclaimed, her hands pressed against her face. before Uta, Salvia, and Luffy moved away, laughing together as the straw hat floated down with Luffy catching it with his head.
"How have you been, Uta?", Salvia asked.
"What the heck! That's not fair! At least introduce us! Since when were you so chummy with Princess Uta, anyway?!", Johnny shouted.
"Yeah, tell us!", Yosaku added.
"Since forever. Uta is Shanks' daughter.", Luffy replied.
This left Johnny and Yosaku thrown for a loop as they both exclaimed in shock.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!"
But suddenly, an alarm bell and a ship horn sounded at the same time, catching the crew by surprise, Johnny and Yosaku most of all; although, Kaya and Atreyu covered their ears and tensed until the sounds went silent as the marine ship floated near the Going Merry, in which case, the stage was quite surprised as well.
"AH! What the?!", Yosaku exclaimed.
"Well, now! That's news to me.", the man spoke up in admitted shock before thinking to himself.
"I may have to report this to HQ when I finish my date.", Fullbody thought.
"Huh? A marine ship?", Salvia asked.
"All the way out here?", Kaya added.
"Hey, Luffy. They're not gonna start firing at us, are they?", Usopp asked.
Zoro was not pleased.
"It's just my luck. Of course the Marines would show up.", Zoro growled.
"But... how did that ship...?", Nami began as Johnny started to sneak away back to Yosaku.
It was then that the tanned man from earlier stepped forward and saw the crew of the adjacent Going Merry Ship near him.
"I've never seen that pirate flag.", the man said.
"Wait. I don't think they're here to attack us. It's just him and two marines.", Salvia said just as Johnny snuck over to Yosaku.
"So..., do you think he knows you and I aren't a couple of pirates?", Johnny asked quietly.
With that, the man placed his right hand on the rails of his ship.
"I am Iron Fist Fullbody! But you can just call me 'sir'. You there! Who's the captain?! Identify yourself!", Fullbody called.
"My name is Luffy!", Luffy shouted.
"My name is Usopp! Got it?!", Usopp added, earning a bit of an embarrassed look from Luffy for a moment before he looked back at Fullbody.
"We only made our flag the day before yesterday!", Luffy added.
"That's right, Marine! And I drew it!", Usopp shouted, peeving Luffy, who growled.
"Heh, you did? Is that so?", Fullbody asked.
Then, he turned and saw Johnny and Yosaku.
"Hey, you two! Right there. I've seen you before. You're that bounty hunter duo that goes after the small fish, right?", Fullbody asked.
"Uh, well, we...", Johnny began.
"So, you've finally been caught by pirates.", Fullbody smirked, already beginning to peeve Salvia, who growled.
"Well, actually, we...", Johnny began only for Fullbody to chuckle.
"Now, that's a laugh.", Fullbody chuckled.
Then, the woman pressed her hand on Fullbody's shoulder.
"Hey, come on, baby, let's get going.", the woman said.
"Sure.", Fullbody agreed.
But Johnny wasn't willing to take that lightly, even starting to get out several wanted posters from his jacket.
"Hey, wait a minute! You think small-time bounty hunters would go after THESE GUYS?!", Johnny shouted, tossing them out up front.
But Full Body didn't even turn around to see them fall down. But both Nami noticed.
"Arlong...", Salvia said to herself.
"He ignored us...!", Johnny spoke in shock, if not in disbelief.
"Next time we see him, he better have a little more respect for us.", Yosaku added.
Curious, Nami went toward the wanted posters and picked one of them up, specifically one belonging to Arlong.
"What are these things?", Nami asked.
"Well, those are all wanted pirates.", Johnny replied.
"Wanted pirates?", Salvia asked, over hearing the conversation.
"If we defeat them, we get the reward money.", Johnny explained.
"Pretty lucrative business, huh?", Yosaku asked.
But for Salvia, it hits too close to home, especially more so for Nami, who crumpled up the wanted poster of Arlong and tensed.
"Nami...", Salvia said softly.
"Now..., let's go to that restaurant.", Fullbody suggested.
But then, he turned back to the two guards nearby and signaled a thumbs-up at first only to give a thumbs-down as he spoke next, not knowing that both Kaya and Atreyu's ears perked up into wolf ears and overheard his words as if they were receiving a signal like radios.
"They're an eyesore. Sink 'em.", Fullbody ordered.
"Sir!", the two guards shouted.
Kaya and Atreyu's wolf ears had wiggled from hearing this before they shouted as their ears went back to normal.
"They're about to sink us!", the two siblings shouted together before the marine ship manned the cannons.
"Wait a minute! They're about to shoot a cannonball at the Going Merry!", Salvia shouted.
True to her word, the Marines fired a cannonball toward the going merry.
"Leave it to me!", Luffy shouted before stretching his arms to both the post and the mast of the Going Merry.
"Now, GUM-GUM...!", Luffy began before the cannonball hit Luffy, only managing to stretch him further away.
"SLINGSHOT!", Luffy shouted.
Everyone else was a bit surprised, but Salvia grinned to him. That is, until one of Luffy's arms slipped on one of the mast's horns, or more accurately, a piece of it broke off, making Salvia gasp. Luffy began to swerve a bit away before the cannonball was launched toward the restaurant.
"I'll be right back, Uta! You leave this to me!", Salvia shouted.
Hurriedly, she leapt off the stage and onto the roof of the restaurant, causing it to shake, much to everyone's befuddlement. Of course, at the time, the head honcho of the restaurant, named Red-Foot Zeff, saw, much to his surprise, Salvia standing on the roof and was surprised, if not shocked.
"Here comes a home run!", Salvia shouted before stopping it with her belly.
She grunted and strained as she braced the impact before yelling out as she bounced it away from the restaurant, much to Zeff's flummoxed surprise.
"There we go!", Salvia grinned.
But suddenly, as it flew away, Salvia noticed where it was seemingly headed: toward the stage, much to her horror.
"AAH! UH, UTA?! THERE'S A CANNONBALL COMING! YOU BETTER WATCH OUT!", Salvia shouted.
Uta reacted in surprise and shock as the cannonball hurdled toward the stage! But fortunately, the cannonball barely zoomed past the stage and hit the water instead, making a big splash as it exploded. Uta blinked her eyes in a bit of surprise as Salvia sighed in relief.
"It missed...", Salvia sighed in relief.
"Phew...! That was a close one, sis.", Luffy admitted as Zeff was in awe of how she was able to save the restaurant, though, not without nearly sinking the stage.
Act II
Meanwhile, Fullbody was already leaving by rowboat as the manager rushed outside to Uta.
"Princess Uta, are you all right?", the manager asked.
"Yeah. I'm fine, Kiroki. That cannonball nearly got us, though.", Uta replied.
"That what?!", Kiroki exclaimed.
"I wonder what that was. I hope our reservation is okay.", Fullbody spoke.
Suddenly, he overheard a voice shouting at him.
"You, there! What was a cannonball like that doing out here?! It nearly sunk the stage!", the manager shouted.
A bit surprised as he is, Fullbody smirked.
"I got this one.", Fullbody said before standing up.
"It was those blasted pirates, sir! They were stirring up trouble!", Fullbody fibbed.
This was a shock; a surprise, at least, to the Straw Hats as the manager then turned to them.
"Is all this true?", Kiroki asked.
"No, sir!", the straw hats shouted.
"We actually just came here to eat.", Luffy added.
Just then, Zeff, having witnessed the debacle in which Salvia repelled the cannonball away from the restaurant, burst out from the door to chime in, surprising his staff.
"They're telling the truth! The Marines fired a cannonball at them and it nearly crashed onto my restaurant! But then, this big girl saved it by deflecting it away!", Zeff shouted, pointing to Salvia, who became a bit puzzled.
Now, it was Fullbody's turn to get shocked. Even the woman was a bit worried, at least for Fullbody.
"Fullbody?", the woman asked before Fullbody laughed sheepishly.
"Oh, yes. Of course! It was an honest mistake. I'm sorry, everyone. Especially, you, Princess Uta! It won't happen again.", Fullbody assured.
"Heh. It better not.", Zeff responded.
Still, though, Fullbody growled as he thought to himself.
"Do they really think they can make a fool out of me...?! I'll be sure to make them pay for this...!", Fullbody thought.
But Salvia read into his face and growled uneasily before jumping off the roof of the restaurant and back onto the Going Merry just as Johnny and Yosaku were repairing the rails of the ship.
"Tap tap. tap.", Johnny said as the rails were finished.
With that work done, the two danced around again.
"Hurray, hurray! Hurray, hurray! Hurray, hurray!", the two shouted happily.
"You two seem really good at repairing the rails.", Kaya said.
"Have you two considered doing carpentry?", Atreyu asked.
"You know? I honestly thought we were gonna get roped in by that liar.", Usopp said.
"Speaking of lying, I may not be a mind-reader, but I don't know if I'm buying what Fullbody is selling..."
Uta could tell that it was a tense moment, so she tried to break the ice.
"Anyway..., let's all go in and have lunch on me! My treat!", Uta offered.
Luckily, everyone's bellies growled, leaving them a bit bashful.
"Well, I guess we are getting hungry anyway.", Salvia blushed.
"All right!", Luffy shouted.
Meanwhile, Fullbody was the first to enter the restaurant with his date, smirking for a moment before he invited his date in first, just following after her. Sometime after, a man in a black suit with blonde hair carried a bottle of wine towards the two and then poured some wine into each of their glasses. As the two drank, some customers noticed Fullbody.
"Oh, wow. That guy sitting over there is Lieutenant Fullbody. Well, what do you know?", one customer said.
"Hey, look, kids. A big shot from HQ.", another added as a girl and boy peeped out in surprise.
"Oh, wow. He's so elegant.", another added.
"You're famous. Everybody in here's looking at you.", the woman said.
"No, you're wrong. They're all admiring you.", Fullbody responded before they both clinked their glasses and then drank.
After a moment, Fullbody smiled to his drink.
"So good.", Fullbody began before holding up his two fingers on his right hand.
"This... flavor."
He then sniffed the drink gently.
"And yes..., the aroma. It is the unmistakable scent from the soil of Miko of the North land. Bitter with plenty of body and just a tad sour.", Fullbody said. "This wine must be... the famous Iturutz Burger Stein!"
Annoyed, the man set the wine bottle down.
"Tell me, waiter! Am I right?", Fullbody asked.
The man moved his hand away from the bottle, taking the napkin with it.
"Uh-uh. Not even close..., sir.", the man responded, spooking Fullbody as he took his hand by the wrist.
Fortunately, the man gave him a spoon for the soup and firmly closed his fingers around it.
"Eat up. This dish is best when hot.", the man advised before walking away, leaving him stumped before the man stopped and turned.
"And sir, my name is Sanji. I'm the sous-chef. All the waiters ran off as of yesterday.", Sanji said before he continued walking away.
Frankly, Fullbody's date giggled at this. And she wasn't the only one as he set the spoon down on the soup, annoyed.
"We really shouldn't be laughing.", one customer warned.
"I can't help it. He looked so confident.", another added.
"Do you know a lot?", the woman asked. "About wine?"
But he found no will to answer, at least not right away. He was too focused on the laughter toward his short-coming. It only took a few seconds before he responded.
"Yes. I thought... but it seems my sense of taste isn't working today."
The woman giggled again. In truth, Fullbody was quite terrified.
"What's going on...? I'm certain I requested that the owner serve that particular wine when I made this reservation!", Fullbody thought.
That thought lingered with him until... he spotted a silverfish-like bug crushed it, leaving it barely alive. Getting an idea, he snuck the bug into his soup, not knowing that Uta was leading the others inside.
"Well, here we are, everyone! Welcome to the Baratie!", Uta grinned.
"Oh, wow... It looks so nice in here.", Salvia grinned.
"Yeah, talk about location.", Atreyu added.
"I never thought it'd look so nice in here.", Kaya grinned.
Of course, the customers became a bit surprised, as well as understandably nervous and shocked, upon seeing Salvia. In fact, they got so nervous that they murmured.
"Hey, wait. You don't think that's Alvida, do you?", one customer asked.
"I hope not...", another added.
"Uh..., are they talking about me?", Salvia asked.
"Well, you and Alvida do kinda look alike.", Luffy replied, peeving her as she grumbled.
Suddenly, Fullbody shouted, attracting the strawhats' attention, unbeknownst to him as he was mainly calling Sanji.
"WAITER, HEY! Get over here!", Fullbody spoke up, puzzling Sanji, who turned around and walked back over to him.
"It's him again...", Salvia tensed.
"I believe I already told you. I'm not a waiter.", Sanji reminded.
Then, he turned to Fullbody's date.
"What an irresistable beauty you are.", Sanji said before holding the woman's hand.
"My lady, would you care to join me elsewhere for a glass of wine?", Sanji asked.
But Fullbody, annoyed, demanded his attention as he bashed his right hand against the table, thought it was mainly a palm strike.
"Hey, what is this? Is bug soup on the menu today? Or did you make it just for me?", Fullbody asked.
"Bug soup?", Sanji puzzled.
"That's right. What's this bug doing there, waiter?", Fullbody asked before smirking.
"This is gonna ruin the restaurant's reputation.", Fullbody smirked.
Reading into his face, Salvia tensed and growled.
"Why..., you little...!", Salvia growled.
"Sorry, sir. Don't know, really. Looks like floating.", Sanji replied, making Fullbody tense and Salvia become puzzled.
"Then, again, it kinda looks like he's drowning, but it's hard to say for sure.", Sanji replied.
The woman laughed again. Sure enough, the laughter repeated and once again, Fullbody was bombarded with what he considered mockery.
"Well, he's not wrong.", Salvia giggled slightly.
Frankly, Fullbody was livid! And he was about to lose it.
"DON'T YOU MESS WITH ME! WAITER!", Fullbody shouted, smashing the table with his fist, breaking it apart and spilling the soup in the process.
This was a shock for everyone.
"Oh, he shouldn't have done that.", Uta spoke in worry.
"What makes you say that, Uta?", Salvia asked.
"The sous-chef who works here? He prides himself in making the tastiest food possible.", Uta replied.
"Wait, you said he's a sous-chef. So, that means he's a cook?", Salvia asked.
"Exactly. And being the best sous-chef? He doesn't take kindly to food getting wasted.", Uta responded.
Uta was right, for when Sanji knelt down to where the soup was spilled...
"You could've eaten it if you had just taken the bug out. It would've been wonderful. It took 3 full days of hard cooking to prepare that soup and you've wasted it.", Sanji said.
Of course, Fullbody stepped on his hand, not even earning a reaction from Sanji.
"Can't you see that you're biting off more than you can chew? I'M THE CUSTOMER, HERE! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?! I'M PAYING YOU!", Fullbody shouted.
"Stop it, Fullbody!", the date shouted in panic.
But he wasn't in the mood.
"SHUT UP!", Fullbody shouted, tossing her aside before she fell to the floor.
"No..., Fullbody, no...!", the woman spoke fearfully.
"How could he do that to her?!", Salvia exclaimed angrily, about to step in and pound him.
"Hold on, Salvia. Remember what I said about how he doesn't take kindly to food getting wasted?", Uta asked.
"Uh, yeah. Why?"
"You're about to find out why.", Uta responded.
"Can your money... truly satisfy your hunger?", Sanji asked.
"What do you mean?", Fullbody asked.
"I'm asking...", Sanji began before looking up at him with a glare.

"Can it satisfy your hunger?"
Suddenly, Sanji began to spin his feet around, already laying some serious hurt on Fullbody in the with his feet against his jaw. The impact sent him to the wall, surprising everyone.
"So, that's it. A fight.", Zoro said.
Then, Sanji picked Fullbody up by the broken jaw, Fullbody's blood dripping into the spilled soup and lifted him up as everyone else looked in shock, especially the staff rushing downstairs.
"Fullbody...!", the woman whimpered.
"Oooh...! That's gonna hurt...", Atreyu winced.
"I think I feel bad for that lady who went with him...", Kaya added.
"It's-it's Sanji.", one of the staff said.
"What's going on here?", another asked.
"Don't ever... waste food around me ever again...! At sea, if you ever provoke your cook, you're singing your own death warrant. Remember that.", Sanji warned.
"And that's why it's not a good idea to waste food.", Uta said.
"A cook who fights as well as he cooks? I can't... believe it...!", Salvia said in surprise at what has unfolded.
"Yeah... That was awesome...!", Luffy agreed, just as awestruck.

A/N: And this is how the crew met not only Sanji, but also Uta. In fact, my friend has some words he'd like to share with you.
"Hey, everyone, so be honest with me. Aside from Sanji's recruitment and Zoro and Mihawk's fight, did anyone really care about the Baratie Arc? If not, then neither did us, so I decided that for this Arc, it's just going to be short. Not a lot of stuff will happen, some things will change, and of course, new characters will be added to help spice up this short arc a little bit. So, you're welcome to those who hoped that this arc would go by quick."
