Penny was packing her bags and she, along with her co-workers, were invited to Caressway Island. The last time they went, it was fun going back in time and Ashley even let her mix science and magic together.
Luke woke up thinking of his half birthday, which was tomorrow as it was the 14th already.
"Ready to rock the socks off of Lansing tonight?" Shane asked Luke.
Luke nodded, although he just wanted his day already. He then realized they were on tour and a few siblings wouldn't be present. He was okay with this, although he missed a lot of his siblings terribly.
Emma was looking around, eating chips and trying to see if there were any bad guys around.
"No bad guys around." Emma says.
She walked around but sees a burning building and rushed to help, hoping her powers were enough.
She managed to save a mother and a child and coughed a bit.
Back to Luke, he was getting ready for his opening performance for Shane's show.
Shelby was spinning as she got an idea for Shane's half-birthday.
"What is it?" Kat asked her.
"We take him to a nice restaurant." she said.
"Sad story, we can't make it. We're going on vacation." Kat says.
"Yeah we got invited!" Ana says. "If you want, you can take Shane there. I bet he'd love an island-themed half-birthday."
"I doubt it." Shelby says, knowing it was in a different world. But Shane had always wanted a beachy half-birthday.
"Meet us on the 16th." Kat says.
"June or July?" Shelby asked.
"Isn't his half-birthday in 2 days?" Ana asked.
"Yeah." Shelby says. "I was only asking about the actual date."
Luke was soon ready as he put on his stage outfit.
"So is it the last night of the tour?" Luke asked as he received the news about Shane's half-birthday party going to be on an island.
"No." Shane says. "July 16th will be the final day. Before you go to cheer camp."
Soon, the show began as Luke began his performance of his newest song "Fake ID". Fans loved it.
Garrett tells everyone in the friend group that Shane's party will be in a different world.
"I thought Shane didn't really want to celebrate his half birthday this year because he'd be busy with his tour around Michigan? Plus, I thought it was in July." Lonnie says.
"I guess Kat and Ana weren't made aware of that." Garrett says.
Meanwhile, Kat and Ana were eating ice cream and watching Shane perform.
Ana coughed a bit. Shane jerked his head up to see what was going on.
Kat was also feeling sick as the twins fell from their hiding spots. Luke caught them and teleported them back to the manor, then he teleported back to Lansing.
Lisa checks them and gasps. They never got their immunization shots or any vaccines.
Lisa felt bad for them. Their father never gave them any medicine.
"l need to give you two a shot, then I'll take you to the hospital." Lisa says.
"What about Luke's half-birthday?" Kat coughed.
"I think you two should stay in bed right now." Lisa says, wearing a mask as Ana sneezes badly.
"I'll whip up a home remedy that works for Shelby, Shane, and Shiloh." Sharon says and dashes off to the kitchen. Kat and Ana clung on to each other, crying and scared.
Sharon later returned with a peppermint substance in a jar and two cups. Ana and Kat take it, fearing death. But to their surprise, their fevers had broken and they started to get well.
Ana cried, still. "We never had good parents!" She screamed. Sharon smiled at Ana.
"You'll get top-notch care here. Mrs. Charity and Mr. Forest will give you plenty of love and nurturing. Me and Lance will, too." Sharon reassures her and Kat. "For now, let the remedy do its thing. You two will be better in no time."
Luke and Shane finished as fans cheered. Shane was soon signing autographs with Luke.
"Tomorrow is my half-birthday." Luke says with a smile.
After the twins get their dessert, they sneak outside and see a group of people selling drugs and stuff.
They go into the shadows and toss smoke bombs before blindsiding the crooks and leave.
"Wait, we need to get evidence." Kat says, grabbing one of the bags and groaning as she didn't like the smell.
Ana was calling the police while Kat was tying them up.
"All good." Ana says as they leaped off.
Meanwhile, Oliver and his siblings were ready as fans screamed seeing them. They performed "Let's Get Ridiculous".
Fans cheered even more as they danced.
Luke was thinking of tomorrow as he sat in the hotel room with Shane. Would it be any different than years past? Probably not.
"Hey, I'm sure they'll remember." Shane says.
"I had love last year. Now I don't." Luke says. Shane holds him and pats his back.
"Wanna watch the High School Musical movies with me? I'm ordering DoorDash and I have some ice cream sundae stuff for after dinner that I picked up after the show..." Shane says.
Luke nods. "I do love those movies…and ice cream sundaes." He says as he sits with Shane. Shane then starts the first movie in the High School Musical trilogy.
"Lucy, you're coming to the party, right? Luke needs you." Lisa says.
"I suppose I should be there." Lucy says.
The next morning, Luke sat on the plush-lined windowsill, looking out the window of his and Shane's hotel room that overlooks the city of Lansing.
Lucy was making his breakfast. Luke mentally questioned how Lucy got there. She did have magic.
"Happy half-birthday, Luke." Lucy says, holding his half-birthday pancakes. Luke stares at the candle burning on top of the pancakes.
"What could this be for?" Luke asked.
"Make a wish, Luke." Lucy says. Luke thinks of the first wish he could make today.
"Come on, Luke, what do you want more than anything in the universe?" Shane asked.
Luke blew out the candle, wishing that his day would be amazing today. He then ate the blueberry pancakes.
With Luna and Sam, they were exploring Lansing as they were there for a show.
"We need to see Luke today." Luna says.
"I know this is his special day." Sam says.
They soon find him. He was posing for an album cover on the steps of a Lansing mansion with Shane.
Meanwhile, Penny was drinking soda on the island. She also thought of Shane.
She started listening to Shane's song, "Hang In There, Baby", and was somehow singing along to it.
"What's that song?" Mona asked, taking notice.
"Shane's new song…" Penny says, blushing.
"Ooooh!" Mona was interested. "Let me hear it, too!"
Soon, Wario sees all his crew listening to it and thinks.
"If I put the marketing on Shane, I'll be rich!" Wario says.
"Oh, next week, I'm going to the Inkwell Isles." Mona says.
"Are you going to go see Mugman?" Penny asked teasingly.
Mona blushed and nodded. Penny giggled.
"Are you two gonna make out on his bed while he roleplays as a sexy version of Mugbeard?" Penny asked.
"M-Maybe…" Mona says, blushing more.
With Luke, he sighed upon finishing the album cover photoshoot.
"Happy half-birthday to me…happy half-birthday to me…" Luke quietly sang to himself while walking off.
Luna took him to the mall. Luke said nothing, then he started to sing to himself again. Luke walked into a music store, hissing. Then he walked out of it.
He then sang to himself quietly at a bookstore.
Meanwhile, Ashley looks for Red as she couldn't find him.
"Red! Red!" Ashley says.
After a while, she sat near the pool where everyone was having fun.
She thinks of how Red would be splashing her. She always wanted more friends. Someone like Lucy, but had chosen not to approach Lucy, especially after Lynn's death.
"So, are you going to attend Shane's half-birthday?" Dribble asked.
"You bet!" Penny says.
"Hey, guys, check this out!" 9-Volt says as they all watch a past tennis tournament as it showed Mario and Luigi going against Angry Luigi and Alem tuber.
"I heard Wario got eliminated pretty fast." Mona says.
Luke just walked back to his hotel, shopping bags in hand. He laid on the bed, shedding tears.
"They never loved me…I have no friends, no love…just nothing!" Luke sobbed. He remembered them calling him bad luck.
Lynn may have started it, but he remembered Lola forcing him in the suit and Lori and Luan calling him bad luck, too. But he forgave a lot of the siblings for that as he knew Lynn had forced them to do so.
He started crying bitterly. He knew this wasn't a happy half-birthday at all.
Later, Shane came in, holding a blindfold.
"Hey, Luke, I have a surprise for you…" Shane said. He saw the tears pouring from Luke's eyes.
"Nobody loves Luke…everyone…hates Luke…" Luke says.
"Do you want to see your half-birthday surprise?" Shane asked. "It might cheer you up…and make this day a bit happier."
"Oh…okay, I guess…" Luke sniffed.
Shane took Luke to a lake house as colorful confetti fell on him.
"Happy half-birthday, Luke!" His friends and some of his siblings say. Luke covered his mouth in shock.
"You…you care about me…" Luke sniffed, surprised. "You remembered!"
"Yeah, of course we did!" Luna says as she hugged Luke. "We didn't forget!"
Luke was surprised to see blue decorations and stars everywhere. He loved it.
It began with dancing. Luke looked around awkwardly.
Luna feels bad for him. Luke teared up and danced by himself.
Lucy took his hands and danced with him just to make him happy. He could see beyond her bangs that she was reluctant. She was shaking.
Luke was done dancing as he just sat. Other guests still danced.
Lucy goes outside, watching people play basketball. It reminded her of the life she took from her big sister as she began to cry.
Soon, Leni gave Luke her gift. He stared at it, then opened it. It was a new blue shirt with his name on it.
Luna got him a new microphone as Luke liked it a lot.
Shelby got him some cool cheer shoes. Luke smiled at these and was excited to use them for cheer camp next month.
Shane gave his gift next. It was tickets to see Wicked on Broadway. Luke screamed with excitement and hugged Shane.
"Front row seats! Thanks, Shane!" Luke says.
"You're welcome. We're gonna have so much fun that day!" Shane says. Luke smiles.
After gifts, Luke sees Shane is annoyed.
"What?" Luke asked.
"My siblings always do this. They're always trying to schedule my half birthday celebration a month early!" Shane screamed. "They know it's in July!"
Luke thinks of what to do to plan it. He takes pity on Shane.
"I swear they do this every year!" Shane says.
With Shelby, she can feel Shane is mad at her. She goes to apologize.
"Shane, I'm sorry. When is your half birthday?" Shelby asked him.
"July 16th, the last day of my tour." Shane says.
"Kat and Ana got the date wrong." Shelby says.
Luke had fire in his eyes. "They have to pay!" Luke says. But Shane quickly diffused Luke and calmed him down.
"My day isn't about me anymore!" Luke screamed. He then picked up the cake.
He glares at Shane for complaining during his party and Shelby for upsetting Shane.
Sharon took Shelby and Shane aside as Luke held the knife above his cake and hissed at it.
Lucy reads him a poem to calm him down. Luke looked at her, trying to calm down.
"It's okay, it's okay…" Lucy says to Luke.
Soon they watched Luke's highlight reel of some of his greatest achievements and accomplishments.
Luke walked out of the lake house and went to the lake. He sat on the pier overlooking it and hissed at the sky.
"Oh, you wanna swim?" Lucy asked. Luke hissed at the water and jumped into Lake Lansing, fully clothed. Lucy froze as Luke swam with his clothes on.
"What is he doing?" Lonnie asked.
"He's doing that wetlook thing." Shane says. "It's actually a thing. I've seen it."
"I think he's mad…" Luna says.
Luke comes out, dripping wet and hissing as he storms back in.
Leni gave him a towel to dry off as Charity was concerned. Luke dried off and went to change his clothes.
Luke was upstairs, hissing as he changed clothes.
Lucy felt bad for him as he came down in dry clothes and grabbed the cake knife. Lucy then revealed the piñata. "Do you want your piñata, Luke?" She asked.
Luke looked at it, holding two baseball bats.
It was a big blue star pinata. Luke obliterates it with both bats as candy falls out. Luke gets his share of the candy, puts it away, and grabs the cake knife again. Luke hissed and stabbed the cupcakes on the dessert table.
"What's wrong?" Lucy asked with no emotion.
"His emotions are running high." Luna says as Luke walks out.
"I failed again." Lucy sighed.
"It's not your fault, sweetie." Charity told her. "Luke's emotions are all over the place."
Luke eats the freshly stabbed cupcakes as he sits by the lake.
"They'll do it again. They'll call me bad luck…" Luke sniffed.
Leni tries to comfort him.
"Need to kill all my bad siblings who will call me bad luck…" Luke hissed. He stepped back into the lake house, which went dark.
He looked around as the lights turned on. "Surprise!" Everyone says showing the cake and cupcake tower.
"Ooooh…" Luke says. Shane smiled, holding the cake. Soon, he lit the candles.
Everyone began to sing as Luke thought of a wish. He wished everyone would never call him bad luck. Luke blew out the candles.
As the dessert was being eaten, Shane smiled and sang his rendition of "Sixteen by Going On Seventeen" from The Sound Of Music.
Lucy sighed and went to call the police to tell them she killed Lynn. She felt she deserved to be punished.
Luke smiled at Shane's song.
"Can you sing that for me at my half-birthday party next month?" Shane asked Luke. He nods.
That night, Luke was planning Shane's half-birthday. It was going to be quite the beachy bash.
Luna came in to see Luke's plans.
"Remember that beach we went to? I want to have the party there." Luke says.
"Shane will love it!" Luna says.
