Chapter 12

Author Notes: Time to continue folks! We do not own pokemon

Sen: A pretty lacklucster author note...

Mako: You try doing three jobs, it's murder.

Sen: Workaholic.

Mako: Indeed. Let's get the show on the road.

3rd P.O.V

"This is bullshit! This is my island, my school and genetics is my subject-why the hell can't I teach?!" All of his teachers, secretary and even the custodians were all there in the meeting room. The first day of classes have ended.

For the most part, for many of the professors it was a good day. They got to meet their new students, do introductions and set up the foundations for their classes. But...the same could not be said for Mr. Wes Snagro.

Who was the one who called the meeting in the first place. He was not happy that he was sent on a wild goosechase, running late, just to find his boss was teaching instead of him. He found many of his co-workers glanced around, several of them annoyed to be here in the first place.

"Because we've had endless complaints over the years when you taught genetics. Most of the kids who reviewed felt that all you did was just flaunt around your special rare pokemon. I was hired by your secretary so you could better manage the school and that secret garden of yours."

For a moment the principal froze, panic in his eyes. "Wh-what? Secret garden? What secret garden-I don't have one!" At that Wes gave him a deadpanned expression. Not that he was in the mood before, but right now he definitely wasn't in the mood for any bullshit.

Just hearing what he did out of his supposed boss's mouth was enough to irritate him. He didn't move from his home region just to put up with such immature idiocy. He rolled his eyes, filtering his mouth long enough to where he didn't get too rude.

"You do realize everyone is aware you have one right? In fact another reason why you have so many hired teachers and dorm leaders is to help make sure kids aren't going missing trying to find the damn thing. There's enough liabilities just for the fact that this is a school and man made pokemon habitat."

The island owner snarled, returning to the original conversation link. "And if my class today was any indication before you so rudely interrupted me, those reviews were utter bullshit. I know the information, I have the passion and the examples!" The two glared down at one another.

Wes sighed, feeling a headache coming on. Mr. Mizuki wasn't wrong that he had the class focused on him, however that doesn't mean the reviews weren't true. "It was only the first day, man. They were more surprised that there WERE examples beyond the typical shiny pokemon." The headmaster found himself grumbling.

"At least I HAVE examples. I had already vetoed you using your purified pokemon to explain." Wes raised an eyebrow, unbothered with that comeback. Even before he sent in the official paperwork, he figured his pokemon weren't going to be accepted.

Despite believing that the students should learn the follies of human experimentation going too far and how negatively impact pokemon breeding can be, he understood why he was rejected for going into that particular subcategory. That wasn't even the point of this conversation however.

"The only reason you have examples is because you act like a tauros in a china shop. The moment you get a hint of a special pokemon nearby, you literally do everything and anything to get it. Between that and your secret garden-it's a miracle you haven't been jumped by the student body."

Wes sat down, resting his boots on the table with a yawn. "Besides this is supposed to be a basic class. A way to ease students-first years especially into the subject. We don't even cover those specific mutations until the end of the semester and even then they're briefly discussed." Sen slammed his hands on the table.

Causing the furniture to bounce slightly, as well as startle some of his other staff. "That is also bullshit-those particular types of pokemon-regardless of rarity are important and should be talked about! Why isn't that in your curriculum Wes?!" Putting his boots down, he reaches for his briefcase.

With a swift thrust, he slid his curriculum folder across the table. Showing each day's topics, homework assignments, project days. Everyone blinked at how detailed and organized Wes' scheduling was. He even accounted for sick days, bad weather and the headmaster's random event days.

"All that stuff there is vital information for students who know little to nothing about pokemon mutations and genetics. If I want to discuss your topics, or from what I'm hearing-you go on talking about it, then either the semester has to be extended or I get a more advanced genetics class in addition to beginner courses."

Before the eccentric headmaster could say anything or even open his mouth, his secretary threw his two poke into the discussion. "We can't do either!" Like a child throwing a tantrum, Sen smashed his fists on the table. "Why not!?" This was an outrage.

Mr. Finnegan simply adjusted his glasses. "We don't have the budget, and lengthening the semester would not only be impossible to do since we follow the national school systematic code but it would also mess with the students and their schedules." Sen couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Don't have the budget? The budget!? With all the money i've thrown at this island and school how the hell do we not have the budget!?" His second in command huffed, immediately picking up his notes.

Something that made everyone silently groan. "With the new additions you wanted completed by the end of the summer, paying the staff, cleaning all of the buildings in preparation for the semester-that damn joltik infestation-" He rambled on and on.

Just listing all of the things that went in the school's budget. All on their own-not counting the new additions to the island-weren't too expensive. But combined? It added up. Fast, especially with the unpredictable catastrophes that took place throughout the semesters.

"...with all of those costings, there is no savings. Unless you plan on throwing even more money into this, doing a donations event or get sponsorships throughout the seasons, it's not happening." Mr. Mizuki growled. He wasn't listening to half of what he was told but he got the message loud and clear.

The money currently in use wasn't enough for additional classes. And as much as he HATED to admit it to himself-Wes knew what he was talking about and his notes were to perfection. But that didn't mean he was happy about it.

For now...he had to play nice. "We'll go over new potential classes and budget costs over the next official meeting..." No matter how much Wes' smug ass expression pissed him off. "Does that mean we can go now? I don't know about all of you-but I already have papers to grade."

XxxXxxXXXXxXxXxX

Mizuki mumbled to himself as he slammed his office door closed. He huffed, his shoulders still tense and stiff when he made his way over to his desk. "What a shitty day!" Now that he was free from his peers he allowed his frustration to full consume him.

Ruining what little good mood he had earlier that morning. His fingers tapped the wood at a rapid pace as he flipped on his security cameras' monitors. It didn't matter if Wes was right and his secretary was scheduling future meetings-he could still be salty about not teaching dammit.

Even worse was that his carefully, concealed secret was not only known to Wes, but the entire school! It was an outrage! "How did they find out!?" There had to be a drilbur lying under his nose somewhere...he just had to find out which of his staff found out and released the information.

A sigh escaped him as he grabbed his remote, flipping through the various sections of the school. The first screen revealed the Natu pass, a young girl was out on the waiting bench. She was a bit of a distance away, but with how loud she was, there was no issue hearing her conversation on her pokedex.

"Like can you believed this? Between my ex cheating on me, having the share my dorm with some loser AND my teachers giving me homework the first day I've had enough." The principal scrunched up his face.

He was never in the mood for gossip(unless it involved a new rare pokemon of course.) and he most definitely wasn't in the mood for bratty queen bee drama. So he immediately skipped over to the next. This time he found a surprise.

What the hell was a kid doing on top of one of his roofs? "Dad, trust me I'm fine. i'm just helping a lost celebi find it's way back to its proper time. Yes yes. I'll be on time tomorrow for class or my name isn't Pro Tag Kun! I'll call you at the end of next week for the latest update. Love you-oh arceus no!"

Poor kid...he just got abducted by a wild drifloon. He'll be fine. Probably. Though Mizuki has never met the kid, he knew Pro Tag's father. They were actually good friends, matter a fact. And both the father and son duo were known for their extreme luck, so he wasn't worried.

He moved on, making a mental note of that celebi. "Hello, Poke-Essentials, Jordan speaking. Oh yes! We do carry curry packets. Though I'm afraid we're out of stock right now. With us hitting fall season, people have been buying them by the dozen, especially for camping trips..."

Even poorer Jordan. His sweet, lovable, fool of a nephew was still working. He wished him all the best with whatever Karen was probably on the other line. He raised an eyebrow when his next video feed had a huge amount of people. Wasn't there a curfew set up for the first week?

"Alrighty boys...we've officially finished our first day of classes. And you all know what that means-The Crimson Carvanas are back in action to rule the fishing spots of this school!" That reminded him...

He needed to come up with new events. Just because he couldn't mess with the stupid class curriculum didn't mean he still couldn't have fun. This was his school. And he refused to die of boredom and a shit load of paperwork. "Fishing clubs...hm..." Plans were being made.

to be continued

Author Notes: And ending it there. Gotta say I was glad I decided to talk to sen about potential route for this chapter. I was not coming up with much after the meeting. So frankly this story was going to be put on a mini hiatus until we could figure something out.

Well, I may still have to do that because of school and work but hey, this is another one done and we're ending it here. Alright guys, this is it for now. Thank you all so much for reading the story. If you like please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would be very much appreciated. Tchao for now.
