Chapter 13

Author Notes: Its been quite some time since I've gotten this out-but considering I've been trying to stockpile again, I guess I can't be too annoyed with myself. But I got a little plan up my sleeve so things really need to get rolling if I'm gonna meet my deadline.

But oh look-friday the 13th, how the wonderful world works. Chapter 13 for the 13th day of the month. Here's to hoping not too much bad luck flies my way huh today? Now time to get this shindig started, here we go. Of course we do not own Pokemon.

3rd P.O.V

"Man...what a day." Shishiki sighed as she settled onto her bed. Her back sank into the mattress while her pokemon surrounded her. "Well...we made it guys. Met all of my teachers and got my homework done to boot."

A yawn escaped her as she tilted her head towards her pillow. One by one her poke-companions snuggled up on her sides. All of them found themselves closing her eyes, settling into a deep sleep. For about an hour before she heard her door slam.

With a wild shriek she sat up, smashing her head against her bedframe as her pokemon, who were also scared, leaped towards the shadowy intruder. "Ow ow! Stop, stop it!" Immediately Shishiki flicked the lights. Finding a boy around her age, yelling as her companions attacked him.

"Wait wait-Shishiki right?" She paused in her hunt for weapons to bash the male's head in, on top of allowing her pokemon free reign on murder. "Who the hell are you?" She glared from beyond her mattress, finding all of her friends (they were all getting treats for this one) pinning the stranger to the floor.

Joltik especially looked eager to give the guy a shock of a lifetime. "I'm in your types 101 class! Pro Tag Kun, I sit like three chairs from you!" Now that she wasn't screaming her head off or at the risk (or rather as big of a risk) of a heart attack...she took a note of his features.

He DID look familiar. "You have fifteen seconds to explain why you bashed into my room before I let my pokemon kill you." He blinked, confused. "Fifteen? What?" Tick tock goes the clock as she crossed her arms.

"You would've gotten five if I didn't recognize you, but you're running out of time. Start talking." He raised his hands above his head. "Ok ok. Sorry. I didn't mean to bash your door open but I was desperate to get away and yours was the first one I found unlocked." The implications behind that were awful.

From now on she was locking her door. "Why the hell were you-" Her door slammed open again, this one actually making a hole in the wall. This time a team of random people in weird sparkling clothes and neon shades entered. "Hand over the jirachi!"

Shishiki didn't know what the hell what was going on. "Labunni, Joltik, Bonsly go!" What the tiny creatures lacked in size, they made up with power. Combining their might, they pushed the people back. Allowing for Pro Tag to shut the door and (this time) lock it.

"Phew...thanks for that." Shishiki still wasn't happy with him as she scowled at him. "Yeah yeah, that's great and all, but if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to sleep before dawn. We have classes tomorrow." At that the boy blinked at her.

He was silent for a few minutes, leaving her even more annoyed. "You're...not going to ask why those goons were after me? Or care that I may possibly have a jirachi in my possession?"

A yawn escaped her, making her rub her exhaustion away. "No. I'm just here to get my degree. Whatever is going on with people that aren't trying to give me heart attacks got nothing to do with me." He stared at her, again absolutely speechless.

"Can you do me a favor? Two favors?" She raised an eyebrow at the sparkle in his eyes. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Something told her this guy was going to be a headache and a half. Especially if this was how their first official meeting outside of classes was going to be.

Still...she would hear him out. "First...can you take notes for me should I happen to miss Duplica's class?" Ok, that seemed doable. Nothing too crazy. "And the second?" Pulling off his backpack (wait was he wearing that the whole time) he revealed the legendary those creeps were hunting for.

The little star pokemon smiled and waved. "Can you keep jirachi in your room tonight? I promise those guys won't come in or mess with you anymore, but I need this little guy safe." What was her life right now? All she wanted to do was go to school!

"This is going to cost you. Big time. Now call security and get out before I change my mind."

A groan escaped Shishiki as she slammed her head on the table. She was so, so, SO done. Her dark ringed eyes were narrowed in irritation. Arguably, her day was fine. She got her breakfast, made it to each class without being ambushed by random battle junkies and classes went pretty smooth.

The freshman took her notes, the class had discussions, the bell rang, rinse and repeat. But it was much harder to enjoy a decent day when lacking some serious z's. It was only the second day and already she was exhausted.

Lifting her heavy head up she glared at the notes she took for Pro Tag, irritated that he still hadn't message her or showed up. "Let's play Labunni! Play, play!" Her classes ended an hour ago, and as adorable and precious as the little wish maker was...she wanted her payment.

The more the guy decided to waste her time, the more she was adding on interest. Her fingers tapped on the table in her dorm, impatient as she checked the clock. Again, no knocks, no messages or calls. She was tempted to call him herself. He was listed in the student registry for battles...

It probably would've saved her time, and him some royal due...but he said he would handle everything last night. So she sat there, watching the legendary pokemon play with hers with cheery smiles. All wonderful stuff that was making it really hard to focus on her homework.

There were so many things she wanted to do. She wanted to go see her additional water pokemon to do Tracy's entries, but that would mean heading back to the Crimson Carvanahs, not a bad thing but she didn't feel like walking or trying her hand with the teleportation system (she really needed a teleport pokemon...)

Then she wanted to raid the kitchen so she could come up with a healthy dish that was safe and editble for fire types without turning it into charcoal for Whitney...bitch was already assigning projects but at least this was a somewhat easy one.

Then Duplica wanted her to look up an easy guide to sewing...for clothes that could best work with pokemon of course. Can't have material being intolerable to fire for a charmander or easily tear when placed on a sandshrew.

Something that had absolutely nothing to do with her class, but whatever, that was simple. The problem in addition to needing to do all those things at the same time, was the lack of energy she had. "At least professor Wes didn't assign anything."

There was only one class she hadn't officially done yet, and that was Mrs. Hales' origins and mythology class...that would be tomorrow's adventure. The student sighed, before grabbing her brand new laptop. She signed into her school account and went through the student forums, looking for the latest news of the school gossip chain.

In all honesty she couldn't stand rumors and all the bullshit that went with newspaper clubs. But considering how crazy this school was, it wouldn't hurt gaining some information that could be useful should the need arise.

Rumor-Runaway bellossom?

Question-Is Ms. Duplica single?

Info-How the teleportation stations work

Info-Club festival

A hum ran through her while she clicked away. The only one that seemed interesting was the club festival bit, but she couldn't be bothered fully diving into the carbink hole since it had 189 comments on it. So she switched gears, scouring the services available.

Through the library, she found the online media site for movies and online books. Jordan's shop that was apparently advertised on the main page popped up as an option too, and even the teacher's information desk had a subsection.

Curiously she scrolled through for Mrs. Hale, her eyes widened in surprise. "I'm being taught by Champion Cynthia's granny!?" Now she was excited. "Tomorrow's going to be cool~" Already she was interested in it because it was a mythology course, but now...the world seemed all the more brighter!

Sleep deprived? Tired? What were those? Annoyed because someone was now banging on her door? Absolutely. "It better be him." Jirachi immediately hid underneath Shishiki's bed as she stood up from her seat, stretching her arms above her head.

A yawn escaped her, cracking her jaw as she approached her door. After waiting for ages, Pro Tag finally arrived, looking sheepish on top of looking like he was hit with a series of smoke bombs.

"Hey..." Shishiki was not impressed, she crossed her arms, walking back in. "Sooooo how was your day?" She rolled her eyes, taking a seat on her bed, patting it to alert the little steel/psychic type that it was safe to come out. "Fine. There were no issues..." Jirachi beamed when it saw Pro Tag.

It floated over, giving him a hug before returning to sit on Shishiki's shoulder. "Good! I'm glad. Thanks to you, this little guy will be able to go back to their thousand year slumber with no issues~" That was all fine and dandy, she supposed.

However she was more interested in getting her payment and more importantly, her assignments situated. "Were there any notes from class?" Immediately she threw the stack of notes and homework assignments for the next few days. "Time to pay up Pro Tag."

The boy in front of her nodded, pulling out his wallet. "How much?" Her smile turned wicked, her eyes narrowed. "For taking in a legendary, making a copy of notes and waiting for you to come back...that'll be 200,000 poke." It was funny watching him freeze in place.

Even more when he dropped his wallet. There wasn't a single bill to be found in there. It was so empty she was surprised mothims weren't flying out. "C-care to repeat that?" If the poor fool thought she was a good person, he was sorely mistaken.

She was here for her education. "Exactly what I said. Got a problem with it, I can bump it up for you wasting my time." Every bit of cash she had was going towards schooling. If someone was going to barge in, begging and demanding she help them, she was going to want payment.

Like hell she wouldn't make sure her reward was absolutely worth it. "This is robbery! A bike costs less than that!" Shishiki crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. He found himself flinching as a dark aura surrounded her.

"I've been waiting for a message from your sorry ass all day, I talked to Duplica for you so she wouldn't screw you over for not showing up alongside those notes AND I kept the little star pokemon safe and entertained...you can't complain when you literally barged into my room last night and begged for my help. I warned you that you would owe me. Now put up and shut up."

To be continued

Author Notes: I think some greed is long overdue for what my character has dealt with. No shame! And can we talk that Pro Tag wants to equivilate the price of a bike to babysitting a legendary? No? It just bothers me? Fine then.
