Our Heroes Get High
Bakugo was growing impatient. The other extras were taking too long and there were only two guys there! "Screw this", he said, and he charged into the fray before Kendo and Mineta could grab him. "Dammit, Bakugo", growled Setsuna as she took off after him. "DIE!", shrieked Bakugo as he rocketed forward, knocking his head against Daigo's stomach! The mantis Faunus flew back, only to teleport behind Bakugo, kicking him over! He then pulled out his gun and aimed it against Bakugo's head, only for a purple ball to attach itself to the barrel! Setsuna then punched Daigo in the face! "Nobu, help!", Daigo ordered.
Nobu let out a mighty roar as his skin turned purple, his shirt ripping away as he turned into a large ape-man! As he charged forward, Momo threw down some spikes, pierce Nobu's foot! As the ape-man howled in pain, Kendo sent him flying back with an uppercut from her giant fist! Daigo tried teleporting over, only for Todoroki to send a volley of ice flying at him! Daigo dodged the attack before teleporting forward and punching Todoroki in the face! But then, Melissa threw her heels at him, distracting him long enough for Kaminari to send him flying with an electric punch! Nobu then shoulder-slammed Kaminari, only for the ape-man to be hit by by a metal baton thrown by Momo! Nobu then slammed his fist onto her, knocking her onto the pavement, only for Bakugo to drive him back with an explosion to the face!
Daigo teleported around, kicking Kendo and Setsuna away as Nobu punched Bakugo away! Just then, mist seeped into the area as Setsuna flashed a wicked grin. Daigo and Nobu swung their fists against the smoke, seemingly fighting people who weren't there. Just then, a large rock flew through the air and slammed against Nobu, knocking him back! Everyone covered their ears as a high-pitched squeal filled the air! As Daigo cried out in pain, Iida ran forward, shoulder slamming him! Before the mantis Faunus could retaliate, Momo hit him the stomach with a baseball bat!
Daigo teleported around, kicking Iida into Momo! But then, Ochako threw some sand that Yui enlarged, sending a volley of rocks hit Daigo and Nobu! Bakugo fired off several explosions as Nobu punched at the smoke as Todoroki watched. The minute Daigo teleport over and kicked Bakugo, he accidentally took some of his nitro sweat with him. That was his undoing. As soon as Daigo teleported to Nobu, Todoroki fired a jet of flames, causing the nitro to explode! The sound rocked the Central Tower, possibly alerting the terrorists inside, but Daigo and Nobu were down. The sound of the Green Gorilla roaring in the distance had removed any thought of the villains getting reinforcements.
"They're down", said Camie, "Now what?" "The computer systems are on floor 80", explained Melissa, "If we all run, we can make it floor 50 via the elevator and take the stairs the rest of the way". Todoroki though he heard Mineta groan, but nonetheless, the short boy followed Melissa, Momo, Bakugo, Kaminari, Iida, Kendo, and Camie into the building. "We'll be right up after you", said Setsuna. "No", said Momo, "You're staying with Kyoka and keeping Eri safe". Setsuna wanted to protest, but her cousin's glare left no room for argument. "We'll keep an eye out for Midoriya", said Kyoka, "The rest of you do what you need to do". "Here", said Momo as she tossed over a radio, "Call us if there's trouble". With that, the first group ran inside.
High above, Dr. Merlot typed a command into the computer database, downloading some files onto a flash drive. "What are you doing?", asked Wolfram. "Working with you has its downsides, but following up on an old passion of mine isn't one of them", said Dr. Merlot, "I wasn't always the Grimm Doctor, you know".
"Cute", said Wolfram, "What about the task at hand?" "The vault won't open, despite my best efforts", said Dr. Merlot dismissively, "Only an Alpha member of I-Island can open it". "So crack the firewall", said Wolfram. "Only if you wish your prize to be in oblivion", said Dr. Merlot, "Our hostages will be more than enough to open the vault. However, if you wish to stay and see the plan through, I suggest we wait at least another ten minutes". "Very well", said Wolfram, "Our robots may have been beaten, but our challenger draws near. I look forward to seeing the Titans clash."
As soon as the first team got off the elevator, they hid behind a wall as some terrorists scoped the place out. "It was nothing, probably a computer issue", said one of them, "Let's head back up to watch the fight". As they walked off, the team rushed up the stairs with the terrorists none the wiser. "Team 2 is going to be up here any second", said Camie. "How many floors until we get to the computer terminal?", asked Iida. "From here", said Melissa, "About twenty eight." "Why can't we just have Iida super speed us up there?", asked Mineta. "And let you and Kaminari get away with another cheerleader prank?", snorted Momo, "Not on my watch". "Come on, Yaomomo", said Kaminari, "You really think we'd do something like that in a situation like this?" Momo leveled her glare upon him, forcing Kaminari to drop the topic. "Show us the way, Melissa", said Momo. "Right on it", said Melissa, "Follow me".
That same moment was when Ochako, Yui, Mina, and Todoroki got off the elevator a few floors above them. "Darn, second time tonight", grunted Ochako. Just then, the two terrorists from earlier saw them! As they aimed their guns, Todoroki fired a blast of glacial ice, entrapping them!
Two floors down, the first team felt a chill in the air. "Found the others", said Kendo. Everyone raced up the stairs to see Todoroki kick down the door for Ochako, Mina, and Yui. "We're probably compromised", said Yui. "We're almost there', said Melissa, "Just fifteen more". As everyone ran up the next ten flights of stairs, some of the terrorists repelled down, readying their machine guns! Bakugo fired an explosion that knocked two of them against the wall, where Todoroki froze them in place! Momo then created a large shield that blocked the other two terrorists' bullets! Momo then channeled some of One for All into her right arm and punched the shield, sending it flying into the terrorists and embedding them into the wall!
"Damn, Yaomomo!", exclaimed Mina as her eyes sparkled. "Heh, I guess I've been holding out on myself", said Momo nervously. "There, the last floor", said Melissa as she raced forward, with Momo and Camie just behind her. Momo created a large battering ram and smashed through the door with it! "OK, what now?", asked Camie.
"We need to disconnect the central processor and redirect the servos through another network", said Melissa as she opened up the hard drive, "As soon as I take this out, there's going to be a minor electric surge." "I can handle it", said Kaminari as he pulled open the switch box and placed his hands upon it. "Todoroki, I need you to keep the console cool so it won't catch fire when I do this", said Melissa, "Make sure the temperature is consistent". "Right", said Todoroki. "I'm ready", said Kaminari. As Todoroki sent out small bursts of cold air into the control console, he sent out minor surges of electricity as Melissa pulled the hard drive loose. Instantly, the electric shocks surged through Kaminari's body, only for him o not get hurt. "How'd that happen?", he wondered aloud.
Before he could question it further, Swordkill ran in to attack, turning both of his hands into steel blades! Mineta threw a purple ball, only for Swordkill to slice through it and kick the short boy out into the hallway! Iida then slammed his shoulder against the blade wielding villain, giving Momo time to pull a sword from her left arm. Swordkill slice Iida's leg, knocking him down! Camie ran forward and kicked Swordkill in the head, dazing him enough for Momo to punch him in the face! Swordkill stumbled into an office overlooking I-Island as Momo bore down on him with her longsword! Swordkill used both of his blades to block, then pushed back! He slashed through the blade with his right one, ready to stab with his left! Momo blocked the attack with the Full Gauntlet!
Swordkill slashed twice and missed as Momo swept out his legs! The terrorist then kicked Momo, sending her crashing into the window! Swordkill then kicked a desk that sent Momo crashing out of the building! Thinking fast, Momo threw up a grappling hook and climbed back up, only for Swordkill to raise his blade, ready to cut the rope. "NO!", cried Melissa as she leaped onto Swordkill's back! "Get off me, bitch!", he shriek as he threw her off, slicing down her forearm! Enraged, Momo channeled 15% of One for All into her body as she leaped forward, smashing a punch into Swordkill's stomach that sent him flying through the wall, knocking the terrorist out! The crimson flames in Momo's diminished as she ran over to check on Melissa.
"Are you alright?", asked Momo as she began creating some bandages. "I'm alright, just cut up", said Melissa as Momo applied the tourniquet to her bleeding arm. "Is he still here?", asked a panicked Mina. "Out cold", said Melissa, "Now, all we have to do is reconnect the hard drive now that the servos are redirected". "Well, do so", said Momo.
With that, Melissa put the hard drive back and typed a command into the control console. "There", she said, "That should reboot in about five minutes. When that happens, Uncle Might and the rest of the Heroes should be freed". "What about the terrorists?", asked Mina. "What about them?", snorted Bakugo, "We have them on the back-foot, and I don't know about you, but I'd rather go upstairs and wreck them now before Shitty Deku gets here". With that, Bakugo blasted open a door and stormed up the stairs, leaving the others in disbelief. "Guess we gotta go save his ass again", sighed Ochako. Before everyone could follow him, Mineta saw something in the distance. "Guys, are those more robots?", he asked. Momo pulled a pair of binoculars from her thigh and peered into them. "Those aren't robots", she said, "They're drones". She handed the binoculars to Melissa. "That doesn't make sense", said Melissa, "Why would the villains bring in camera drones?"
Up above, Wolfram smirked as he beheld the simultaneous approach of the drones, the Asset, and the Green Gorilla. "It would appear that a problem has occurred", said Dr. Merlot, "Somehow, the systems have been compromised". "Already?", asked Wolfram. "Not to worry", said Dr. Merlot, "We still have the drones, the Asset, and the hostages under our control. We need only open the vault". "So do it then", said Wolfram. "You heard him", said Dr. Merlot with a nod. In an instant, David and Sam were forced into the entrance of the Archives by the last two terrorist henchmen.
They lead the hostages to the vault and pushed them forward. "Open it", commanded Wolfram. "As you wish", said David. He and Sam placed their hands on the scanners, which read their palms and opened the eight locks holding the vault door shut. As the door swung open, Wolfram trailed his hand along the metal as he entered, his eyes genuinely aglow with wonder. "What a beauty", he said in awe. "If I had my way, none of this would be locked away", said Sam. "Well then, which one is it that we are looking for?", asked Dr. Merlot.
Before any of them could figure it out: "DIE!" Wolfram sighed as Bakugo rushed into the vault, setting off small explosions that knocked the henchmen out! Wolfram then pulled some of the metal out of the vault door and used it to bind Bakugo to the floor! "Unless you're hoping to blow off your arms, I suggest you stay put", said Wolfram as he aimed a gun at Bakugo's temple. "That's too far", said David, "I hired you to help get the machine I built, not to kill people". "You hired us to make sure the Heroes wouldn't interfere", responded Wolfram, "I'm only doing my job". David was about to object, when he saw Melissa standing at the entrance of the vault, horrified by the truth.
"Melissa, I…", began David, but he was cut off. "How could you?", asked Melissa, "How could you allow yourself to work with murderers like them?" "I had to", said David, "It was the only way". "NO!", said Melissa, "You had other ways, better ways." She held up her bandaged arm. "Look what they did to me", Melissa said while weeping, "If they get want they want, they'll do this to more people, only worse!"
Soon enough, Momo, Iida, Mina, Ochako, Todoroki, Kaminari, Mineta, Kendo, Camie, and Yui ran in. "Ah, good", said Wolfram, "Sam". At once, Sam pulled a gun and leveled it against David's head! "I suggest you all stand down", said Wolfram, "I-Island has some of the best doctors on the planet, but even they can't heal a bullet to the head". With no choice, our heroes surrendered. "Good call", said Wolfram, when suddenly, his watch beeped, "Oh, wonderful. Doctor, show them what they're missing". At once, Dr. Merlot pulled out a small cube and casually tossed it to the center of the room. The cube projected a hologram showing the Green Gorilla arriving just outside as the drones filmed his approach for the news. "Green Gorilla, meet your demise", smirked Wolfram. The Asset appeared, causing Momo to gasp in horror…
