"Is now a bad time to tell you I'm claustrophobic?" Maxie Jones spared a half smile at her date, trying not to have a panic attack.

"Maxie, we're in a haunted house. I asked if you were sure this is what you wanted to do for our first date. Why didn't you say anything?" Matt Hunter couldn't help but laugh, despite himself.

"Matt, I didn't expect the hallways to be so narrow! It's not my fault!" Maxie defended herself , holding her hands up in surrender.

"I'm going to see if we can go back, I don't want you to have a miserable time on your birthday. It's Halloween baby, you're supposed to have a magical time." Matt glanced back at the line forming behind them, angry murmers reached his ears.

'Matt, it's okay. You're right it was my idea, as long as I have you by my side I'll be fine. I don't want to ruin other people's Halloween." Maxie grasped Matt's hands in hers, urging him to go forward.

"Are you sure?" Matt asked, looking deeply into her blue eyes.

"Of course I'm sure, come on." Maxie pulled on his arm, they slowly walked forward holding hands as they made their way through the narrow hallways of Port Charles's newest haunted house attraction. Maxie had strong heart palpitations when they exited the haunted house, the couple paused so Maxie could catch her breath.

"Do you need me to take you to GH? I'm worried about you, you have a heart condition." Matt was worried about her, he felt guilty for bringing her to the haunted house now.

"Matt, no. I'm okay. My heart is fine, I just need a minute. That's all. You're so sweet for worrying." Maxie splayed a hand over Matt's chest, smiling.

"I never want anything to happen to you, I've loved you for a really long time. Now that we finally get to be together, I don't want to lose you." Matt cupped Maxie's face in his hands.

"It took a long time to realize what I really wanted but, I know that it's always been you. Thank you for caring about my heart, I know that you'll always take care of it." Maxie nuzzled into the crook of Matt's neck, lovingly.

"Let's not think of the past. Our future is all I care about. How about we go get some ice cream?" Matt drapes an arm around her neck leading them over to the parking lot.

"With sprinkles?" Maxie asked, sounding like a little kid.

"Duh, is there any other way to eat ice cream?" Matt smirked, opening the passenger door of his car for Maxie.
