AN:
This is just a little story I thought up about the cast when they're done recording their latest episode. It takes place after the episode "Seeing Stars"." Now you all can see a different side of the cast when the cameras are off and the audience isn't watching, along with a bit of background for them here and there. A few light spoilers if you haven't seen the episode yet, so read at your own risk I suppose.
I do not own anything from the show, all rights go to VivziePop.
This is actually my very first story, so I hope everyone likes it and please leave a comment and let me know what you think. It will help me with creating future stories further down the road.
Anyways, please enjoy!
Story:
"Ugh, finally! I thought we'd never finish that shot!" Blitzø loudly groaned as he walked into the backstage area, his feet dragging on the ground. "I'm fucking exhausted after all that work!"
"Yeah, I can agree with that." Moxxie spoke up as he came in behind Blitzø, followed soon after by Millie, Stolas and Octavia.
Blitzø and the rest of the Helluva Boss cast had just finished shooting the final scene for the second episode of their shows second season, "Seeing Stars," and they were all tired. As usual it, like all the episodes before, had taken a long time to get everything down, having to do retakes for missed lines or other problems during production, hours of rehearsals, and all other efforts that go into making a show. Though they loved their jobs, and their show was a big hit, it still took a lot out of all the cast members no matter what little they may or may not have to do during their parts in the show.
"Aw, come on boys, it wasn't that bad!" Millie spoke up in her cheerful southern accent as she grabbed a water bottle from a nearby concessions table and took a big swig, letting out a content sigh afterwards. "Y'all did real great on all your parts." She said, flashing them a big smile.
"Yeah well, it's not easy when your scene involves you getting beat up by an angry group of humans attacking you while carrying around a little shitty dog like he's your prized possession or something like that." Blitzø mumbled in annoyance, thinking back to his big scene where he ruined the doggy adoption commercial and had a bunch of crazy humans attack him.
"Or by your own daughter, either." Moxxie added with a slight chuckle, earning an annoyed glare from Blitzø.
Blitzø was about to respond when-.
"DAD!"
At that moment, Loona came running in backstage and ran past the others, almost knocking them over. She ran towards Blitzø and slammed into him, a grunt escaping his lips from the impact and making him stumble back a step in the process, and wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.
"Dad, I'm so sorry I hit you!" Loona said, dropping down to her knees and tightening her hug on Blitzø. "I swear I didn't want to do any of the things I did to you! I swear!"
Hearing this, Blitzø couldn't help but sigh and shake his head, a soft smile on his lips. Contrary to Loona's character in the show, she was actually a vary sweet young woman who loved her father with all her heart and hated having to treat him so badly during the show.
"Aw, don't worry Loonie. Daddy's alright." Blitzø reassured as he returned the hug wholeheartedly. "I know you didn't mean any of the things you did. It was all just part of the show, sweetie." He said, rubbing her back soothingly.
"I know but-… but I still hurt you so much during the show!" Loona said before pulling back and faced Blitzø, her ears pinned down on her head and a look of regret in her eyes. "I had to beat on you so badly in this episode. More than any other episode! Damn it, why did they make that part of the script? Fuck, are you hurt at all? I swear I didn't mean to-."
Blitzø placed his finger against Loona's lips, silencing her. "Loona, it's o-kay. I'm fine." Blitzø said in a soft gentle voice, giving her a loving smile. This wasn't the first time he's had to calm her down after a show. "I'm not hurt, I promise. After all, your old man is a tough bastard, so a couple of little punches from you aren't going to stop me."
"I kicked you in the fucking balls, Dad!" Loona exclaimed in response.
"And I was wearing a protective cup when you kicked me in the crotch, remember? So, I'm not hurt, ok?" Blitzø replied reassuringly with a light dismissive wave of his hand as he did.
Loona sighed and closed her eyes, nodding her head. "Yeah, I know, I know, it's just-… ugh, why did they have to make me do that?" She asked as she looked down at the ground dejectedly. "I don't like hurting anyone in the show, especially not you, Dad."
It was true. Ever since Blitzø adopted her when she was still a pup all those years ago, she swore to be the best daughter she could be, as well as a great friend to everyone else. So while she loved being a part of the show, having to treat him and the others so harshly was hard for her to accept.
Blitzø took Loona's chin in his hand and lifted her head to look back at him, still giving her a loving smile.
"Loonie, sweetie, please stop being so hard on yourself. I know you don't like some of the things you have to do during the show, but you got to remember that it's all just part of the show and nothing more. Plus, despite your character's personality, your one of the show's favorite characters to everyone who watches." Blitzø's face then turned deadpan. "Though for a lot of those people watching unfortunately, it's for… different reasons."
Blitzø and Loona both looked to the screen with a raised eyebrow, a knowing look in their eyes.
"Anyways," Blitzø said as he and Loona looked back at each other, his smile returning, "just remember that regardless of what happens on screen, we all know who you really are, and we all love you. Especially me, Loonie." He said, moving his hand up to cup her cheek, lightly scratching it as he did.
Loona was silent for a moment before a soft smile spread across her lips. "Yeah, I know. I love you to." She said as she leaned into his touch "Thanks Dad."
"Anytime." Blitzø replied as he stoped scratching and lightly booped her on the nose. "By the way, I'm surprised you didn't hurt yourself when you kicked my crotch cup."
"Oh, trust me, it did hurt." Loona replied, looking down at her leg and cringing slightly as she felt the spot where her ancle hit Blitzø throb slightly. "I'm gonna have a bruise after how hard I kicked that thing."
"Well, why don't we head back to the dressing rooms, and you let daddy massage that a little, and maybe he can make it feel better quicker." Blitzø said as he reached up and rubbed along Loona's snout, something she loved as she smiled, and her tail began to wag behind her.
Just then, Loona suddenly felt someone grab her shoulders and pull her back with a surprised yelp. She let out a soft grunt as her back press up against someone's chest and a pair of arms wrap around her neck. Looking up, she found Octavia looking down at her with half lidded eyes and a loving smile.
"Or I could do it instead." Octavia said in a soft tone as she nuzzled her beak into Loona's hair, making the Hellhound blush a bright red, while Blitzø and the others watched in amusement.
While it was only just shown how Loona and Octavia were forming a friendship in the show, in reality they both had been in a relationship well before the show had even first begun, having known each other since childhood before slowly becoming more then friends as the years passed by.
"Hun, not here." Loona said embarrassed, looking around and see the others watching them with amused grins. Even some of the stagehands couldn't help but grin and the sight as they passed by. "Everyone's watching."
"Aw, but I get so little time to spend with you on stage, I need to catch up on showing my beloved how much I love her." Octavia said, pouting for a moment before her smile returned and she tightened her hold around Loona's neck. "Besides, I have to reward you for being so sweet to me during the show." Octavia said, planting a soft kiss at the base of Loona's right ear, making Loona's blush deepen and her tail begin to wag once more behind her.
Loona let out a small groan at this before a soft smile graced her lips and she reached up and grabbed one of Octavia's hands. Despite her silly behavior, Loona loved her girlfriends affection and wouldn't trade her for anyone else. Even if she loved to embarrass her in front of everyone like this.
"How sweet." Stolas muttered, happy to see how much Loona and Octavia were with each other.
"Well anyways," Blitzø spoke up, catching everyones attention, "how about we all head back to our changing rooms, get changed into something more comfortable and head out to celebrate another successful show. My treat." He announced proudly, poking a thumb at his chest.
"Sounds good to me." Loona replied, slipping out of Octavia's hold and standing up. "I could go for a drink and something to eat after all the work we did today." She said as she took Octavia's hand once more.
"Yeah, no kidding. I'm beat after all that." Millie said while stretching her arms above her head.
"At least none of you guys have to ware this monkey suit and a damn bowtie all the time." Moxxie complained as he took of his suits jacket, laying it over his right shoulder before working to untie his bowtie. "I'd rather be in a T-shirt and a pair of jeans any day."
While Moxxie was just as chivalrous and well-mannered as he's portrayed to be in the show, in truth he wasn't really the type for wearing such fancy suits all the time, nor was he nearly as much a perfectionist. In reality he was more laid back and didn't judge others for every little thing. Meanwhile, Millie's character actually wasn't all that different from her real self in truth. While not as kill crazy as she's shown to be, she always had such a bubbly attitude that everyone loved, but also a fiery side to her if anyone got on her bad side. It was rather ironic how, compared to everyone else's characters in the show, Moxxie and Millies was almost the exact same as they are in real life.
"HA! Suit yourself." Blitzø spoke up as he went over and grabbed his tattered slate gray collared coat from off a coat hanger and slipped it on. "I fucking love my suit in the show. One of the reasons a tolerate doing all that crap on film. After all," he showed them a toothy grin, tugging on the lapels of his coat, "it makes me look hot."
This earned him an eye role from Moxxie, while both Millie and Octavia giggled, and Loona shook her head in response, an amused smile on her lips.
"Well, I have to say," Stolas spoke up, coming up behind Blitzø and wrapping his arms around Blitzø's neck, "you indeed look damn sexy in that coat, my dear Blitzie." He said in a seductive voice, lightly dragging a finger under Blitzø's chin.
Blitzø rolled his eyes and shook his head at this. "Yeah, yeah, keep that gay stuff for the show, alright Stolas." He said, a small grin on his lips as he pushed Stola's head away from him. This wasn't the first time Stolas has teased him like this.
Stolas laughed in response as he let go of Blitzø and stood back up. "Yes of course, "Blitzie". Besides, I have a beautiful wife waiting for me back in the dressing room."
While in the show, Stolas was shown to be gay and utterly infatuated with Blitzø, in reality he was actually bisexual, but only saw Blitzø as a friend. Not only that, but Stolas actually was married to Stella in real life and loved her very much, compared to how the both of them treated each other in the show. Despite their roles, Stolas loved doing the show, especially since he was able to do it along with his beloved wife and daughter.
"Come my little Via, lets go find-."
Just as he took a few steps, Stolas came to a stop as he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. Looking, he was surprised when he saw Stella, wearing a pink long sleeve shirt with thin white stripes, tight fitting black pants and a pair of high heel shoes, sitting on some nearby crates. She had her head held in the palms of her hands, her elbows resting on her knees, as she starred at the floor below her, a sad look in her eyes.
"… your mother?" He said surprised to see her like this. He made his way over to her, with the others following soon after.
Stella was staring at the floor, ignoring the multiple stagehands passing by her, and let out a sad sigh, closing her eyes. A moment later she felt a hand on her right shoulder, surprising her and making her jump slight and open her eyes, letting out a gasp. Turning her head, she found Stolas standing beside her, looking at her with a concerned expression.
"Stella, why do you look so upset, love." He asked, his voice soft a gentle as he lightly rubbed her shoulder.
Stella stared at him for a second before she let out a soft sigh and looked away as she replied, "I'm alright, dear. Just thinking, that's all." She said, her voice soft as she lowered her head and stared down at the floor sadly once more.
Stolas reached down and took her hand in his as he asked, "what could be on your mind to make you look so upset my darling?"
Stella let out another sigh and closed her eyes, shaking her head lightly before she replied, "it's just-… I wish I didn't have to play the role of such a mean and selfish person for the show." Stella said, laying her head in her free hand once more.
Contrary to Stella's character in the show, she was actually a very loving woman and treated everyone she met with such kindness it was hard to believe she was the same heartless woman she played as during the show. She loved her husband and her daughter unconditionally and was close friends with the rest of the cast and even treated Loona as a second daughter to her since she used to babysit her when she was still a young pup. While Stella was glad to be a part of the show with the others, especially with her family, she hated having to act like such a mean and selfish woman, even if it was only for the show.
"Why do I have to play the role of some heartless bitch all the time? Parden my language." Stella asked, shaking her head lightly.
"Oh, Stella," Stolas replied as he sat on the crate beside Stella, rubbing her back soothingly while looking at her with a soft smile, "I know its not the role you expected to play, but without you the show just wouldn't be complete. Your character helps to tie the storyline together after all."
Stella let out a soft sigh at this. "I know, but it's so hard having to act like such a horrible person every time I'm on stage. Even when it's just over the phone, I still sound like such a horrible woman! That's not who I am, and I don't like acting like it!"
"I know, but its all only part of the show and nothing more, darling. We all know it's not who you really are and is just a product of your amazing acting." Stolas praised, wrapping his hand around Stella's waist and pulling her against his side. "After all, let's not forget how your acting is by far the best out of everyone else here. Which is another reason why you are so important for the show."
And it was true. Everyone was still amazed how well Stella performed when they first saw her audition for the show, with even the director herself admitting that she had never seen anyone with such great acting skills before. Especially for it being her first time acting. When Stella first auditioned, with Octavia insisting she try out for the show along with her and Stolas, she was reluctant at first when she was given her role, but she did so nonetheless and needless to say she left everyone speechless when she flawlessly pulled off her character on the first try. Stolas especially was shocked when they first rehearsed together and she actually scarred him greatly during one of their argument scenes and she yelled at him with far more force then he expected to come from someone and gentle as her, and with so much emotion that he actually thought she was truly angry with him. Stella had apologized repeatedly soon after when she realized this, but Stolas assured her it was fine and encouraged her to use that powerful acting for the show. Because of this her character seemed to skyrocket in popularity overnight.
However, while many of this popularity was from a positive reception, it was the more negative reception from the audients that bothered Stella, with many commenting on how her character was considered a "spoiled bitch", or a "selfish demoness who nobody loves". Because of this, while Stella could push through and continue with the show, it hurt that there were so many people out there who were saying such things about her. Even if it was just her character they were speaking so ill about, she knew that's who they truly hated and not her, still it felt as though all those harsh comments were directed right at her.
"I know and I'm glade everyone loves having me here, believe me I do… but so many people who've watched the show see my character and say such mean things about me. It's like they really believe that's who I really am." Stella said, looking up from the floor and meeting Stolas' gaze, her eyes sad and tears pricking in the corners of her eyes. "They don't see the real me."
"Well, I know who you really are my dear," Stolas replied, reaching up and brushing away the tears in her eyes with a soft stroke of his thumb, "and I wouldn't change you for anything. Not now, not ever. That's all that matters." Stolas assured her as he hugged her close and planted a soft kiss on Stella's cheek.
At this, Stella smiled and leaned into Stolas' embrace, letting out a soft content hum as she basked in her husband's affection.
"Me either, mum!" Octavia added as she came up and wrapped her arms around her mother and tucking her head under Stella's chin, smiling happily.
Stella giggled at this and hugged her daughter tight while nuzzling the top of her head lovingly. "And I wouldn't trade you for anything either, sweetheart." She said, planting a light peck on Octavia's forehead.
Chuckling softly, Stolas brought the two of them into a tight hug, basking in the moment shared with his beloved family.
After a few moments, all three pulled back from the hug. "Feeling better now darling?" Stolas asked, brushing his hand over Stella's long crest feathers while gazing into her beautiful crimson red eyes.
Stella nodded in response.
"Good, now then, come along." Stolas said as he stood up, pulling Stella to her feet with him. "We're all going out to celebrate another successful show, and you are coming with us my dear. After all, it wouldn't be a proper celebration without the whole cast there, now would it?" He said, planting a quick kiss on her lips.
Stella giggled in response. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather be celebrating alone with your dear Blitzie instead?" Stella asked with a teasing grin and a raised eyebrow. Octavia giggling softly behind her with her hand over her lips.
"Well," stolas replied, looking up and placing his hand on his chin, humming in mock thought, "now that you mention it, I-."
"OKAY!" Blitzø spoke up seeing where this was going, quickly coming up to Stella and Stolas while waving his hands in the air. "Like I said Stolas, keep all that gay crap for the show. Now lets get our ass's in gear and go get ready for a night of eating, drinking and not any of this Blitzie shit." He said as he began pushing the couple from behind in the direction of the dressing rooms.
As he guided the now giggling couple, Blitzø looked over at Loona and told her, "Loonie, you go ahead and get changed while I get these two love birds to wardrobe. Call up Tex and Bee too if you want and see if they want to join us or not." He said as he passed by, with Stella reaching out and lightly brushing her hand along her cheek as she passed, making Loona smile. "I'll meet you outside when I'm done." He said as he continued pushing the married couple towards their dressing rooms.
Loona giggled at this as she replied, "Ok, Dad, I'll see you at the van when you're ready." She replied as Octavia came up beside her and took her hand before they began heading for the dressing rooms as well, with Moxxie and Millie following close behind.
There were definitely many ups and downs for the Helluva Boss cast when it comes to doing the show, but in the end, they wouldn't have it any other way. After all, whether it was on or off stage, with a crew like theirs, there would always be something exciting going on one way or another.
The end.
