Sorry that this took so long to update, but I had to finish the previous story before I got started on this one, so here is the much awaited sequel to my Pokémon Colosseum fic's second chapter. I plan to do something different with the PokéSpots, but we can get to that later, so for now, enjoy it.
News of the abduction of the SS. Libra has spread all around. It was all over the news and the internet. Rumors began spreading that a new Shadow Pokémon has shown up for the first time in five years. Their fears were now confirmed.
Meanwhile, over to a stadium, there is a boy with spiky red hair, green eyes and pale skin. He wears a yellow zipped up vest worn over a black long sleeved t-shirt with orange stripes down the sleeves, jeans which too have orange stripes down them and big brown boots. He also wears a small black bag around his waist, and a pair of goggles around his neck. He is using a Salamence against a Metagross.
"Salamence! Use Earthquake!" The boy ordered. Salamence stomps on the ground and Metagross is struck.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" The boy's opponent ordered. Metagross fired a Sludge Bomb at the Dragon Pokémon.
"Dodge and use another Earthquake!" The boy ordered. Salamence avoids Metagross's Earthquake by flying. The Dragon Pokémon slammed on the ground again, to make another quake, hitting the Iron Leg Pokémon. Metagross was knocked out.
"Yes! I win again!" The boy proudly said.
The battle turns out to be a simulation exercise.
"Alright, Michael. That'll do it for today," a young man said. He smiled. "Yes, sir, that was a well-played battle."
"Well, it was nothing. All I did was use a super-effective move against that Metagross," Michael said.
"I'll say you did, Michael. Your battling skills have improved by a tremendous amount. I mean, it was so impressive the way you handled that holographic Salamence with aplomb. You took command of it as if it were the same as your Eevee," the battle coach said with praise.
"Well, the professor wanted me to be ready for the real thing, so he has me practicing in the simulation battles just to get me ready," Michael said.
"And you look pretty ready for me. But don't you think it's time that you've gotten more Pokémon other than your Eevee? I mean, Eevee may be your only Pokémon, but you can't rely on Eevee forever," the battle coach said.
"When I'm good and ready. Until then, I'll stick with Eevee," Michael said.
Meanwhile, over to a dirt farm, former members of Team Rocket, Jessie and James are currently working on their dirt farm. James now wore a white tattered shirt and black ragged pants and dark gray boots while Jessie wore a white tank top with a blue sports bra underneath. She wore a short skirt and sandals. Jessie and James worked up a sweat. Jessie and James had acquired some new Pokémon along the way. Jessie has gained a Seviper, a Dustox, a Woobat, a female Frillish, a Gourgeist, a Mimikyu, a Chewtle, and a Scovillain while James has acquired a Cacnea, a Chimecho, a Carnivine, a Yamask, an Amoongus, an Inkay, a Mareanie, a Morpeko, and a Grafaiai.
"Another day, another pile of dirt to work on," James said.
"You've been saying that ever since we got here, James," Jessie groaned.
"Am I repeating myself? I didn't notice," James said. Jessie just sighed in annoyance.
"Things have been hard for us ever since we got fired from Team Rocket. One of the reasons why I'm happy my mother is dead. She wouldn't see me as a lowly dirt farmer while I'm working with dirt like I was a lowly Diglett. Why did we have to pick this place to live in?" Jessie asked.
"It pains me to remind you that the reason we came here is because we can't ever show our faces in Kanto ever again. And not to mention, coming here was your idea. You're the one who said we should leave Kanto forever," James said.
"Oh, right. Why did I have to say that?" Jessie asked.
"Well, we should count ourselves lucky that we found this place when we did. You, me, Meowth, and the Pokémon living together on this farm," James said.
"What's good is a farm if we can't grow anything? The seeds we got are useless, and we haven't even seen one sprout," Jessie said.
"It'll be worth it. After all, a city wasn't built in a day," James said. Jessie groaned in more annoyance. She noticed Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Mime Jr were missing.
"Hey, you brought up Meowth before, so where is Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"Oh, I sent him out for some water an hour ago. I sent Wobbuffet and Mime Jr with him because he could use the help," James said.
"How does it take someone an hour just to fetch some water?" Jessie asked.
Speaking of which, Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Mime Jr are pulling a bucket of water out of a well.
"Well, we got the water. Help me carry it, guys," Meowth said. Wobbuffet and Mime Jr worked with the Scratch Cat Pokémon with the bucket. "Careful, guys. We don't want to spill it. Again." The three Pokémon slowly and surely carried the water to the house, trying their best to be absolutely careful not to spill it. Before they could be halfway back to the house, they tripped and the water spilled out. "Idiots! What part of 'careful' did you miss?!"
Meanwhile, Professor Oak and his guests have arrived to the lab as a staff member stepped out with a smile.
"Professor Oak and company, I presume?" The staff member asked.
"Yes. We came all this way to meet up with Professor Krane," Professor Oak said.
"And at an opportune time. Please, come in," the staff member said as Karen, Ventus, Aqua, the D-Team, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the dinosaurs entered the lab.
"You don't mind if the three of us let out our Pokémon, do you?" Max asked.
"Not at all. Please," the staff member said. Max has let out a Shieldon as Zoe has let out an Axew and an Amaura, and Rex has let out a Gabite. They continued to follow him as they arrived to the office of a Professor Krane. He wore a white lab coat over a lime-green buttoned shirt, tan pants, and brown shoes. He has messy brown hair and wore a pair of round frame glasses. With him is a woman with brown hair in a bun on top of her head. She wore a pink suit dress, a black skirt, stockings, and black heels.
"Professor Oak, welcome. I'm so glad you could make it here," Professor Krane greeted.
"I'm pleased that you called me and invited me down here, Professor Krane," Professor Oak said. Professor Krane noticed his old teacher's gusts with him.
"I take it that they're with you," Professor Krane said.
"Yes. Meet Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Max, Zoe, and Rex. Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Max, Zoe, Rex, meet Professor Krane, my old student," Professor Oak introduced.
"It's nice to meet you," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Lily. My son should be arriving here, so it's good timing that you've come," Lily said. And her sense of timing was spot-on as Michael entered the office. "Ah, Michael. Your timing is perfect."
"Hey, mom," Michael greeted. He noticed the group in the office with them. "Who are they?"
"Right. Michael, allow me to introduce you to my old mentor, Professor Samuel Oak. With him are Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Max, Zoe, and Rex. They come from the Kanto region," Professor Krane said.
"Kanto, huh? It's nice to meet you," Michael said.
"Likewise," Karen said. Michael then looked at the dinosaurs and he gasped in shock.
"Hey, I don't think I've seen Pokémon like these before," Michael said.
"Actually, they're not Pokémon. Max's Shieldon, Zoe's Axew and Amaura, and my Gabite are. They're dinosaurs. This one with me is Ace. He's a carnotarus," Rex said.
"This is Paris, and she's a parasaurolophus," Zoe said.
"And this is Chomp, and he's a triceratops," Max said.
"Dinosaurs, huh? They're pretty on the small size," Michael said.
"Yeah, wait till you see them get bigger," Max said.
"Anyway, meet our partners, Michael. This is Blossom, along with Ven's Pikachu, Sparky. Terra's Pikachu is Thor, while Aqua's Pikachu is Eclair," Karen said.
"Pikachu," Blossom said.
"Pika," Sparky said.
"Chu," Thor said.
"Pika, Pika," Eclair said.
"Oh, how adorable," Lily cooed, looking at the Pikachu and the dinosaurs.
"Michael here is Lily's son, and he is also a Pokémon Trainer as you can see," Professor Krane said.
"Really?" Karen asked.
"Yes. In fact, I have been hearing songs of praise regarding Michael. He is quite a Pokémon Trainer," Professor Krane said.
"Oh, Professor Krane, I really wish you wouldn't be praising my son so much like that. I don't want any of my children to be spoiled rotten," Lily said.
"Oh, there's nothing to worry about. Both Michael and Jovi are wonderful kids," Professor Krane said, smiling.
"Speaking of Jovi, I don't think I've seen here since lunchtime. You haven't seen her, have you?" Lily asked.
"No, I haven't. And if I had, I would have already sent her your way," Professor Krane said.
"I see," Lily said. She turned to her son. "Michael, I hate to bother you, but could you go find Jovi for me?" Lily asked.
"Sure thing, mom. If she's somewhere in the lab, then finding her will be a piece of cake," Michael said.
"Thank you so very much, honey. I wouldn't be able to afford to take some time off right this instant. She shouldn't gone too far, so check outside, too, just to make sure," Lily said.
"Sure thing," Michael said.
"Well, why don't you make this a perfect time for you kids to get to know one another?" Professor Oak suggested, turning to his old student. "This should give us a chance to discuss research and see this project of yours."
"It'll be my pleasure, Professor Oak. I have been working on this project for the last five years, and I want to be ready for what's coming our way," Professor Krane said.
"Of course," Professor Oak said.
Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the D-Team knew they were talking about Shadow Pokémon, and there was one sighted very recently.
As they went to find Jovi, they did use it as a time to get to know each other.
"Wow! Ven, you mean you, Terra, Aqua, Max, Zoe, and Rex actually live on the beach?" Michael asked.
"Not really on the beach, but close enough," Terra said.
"We've been there our whole lives," Aqua said.
"Well, except for when we went with my cousin for the Pokémon Leagues," Ventus said.
"Ven!" Karen said.
"Pokémon League?" Michael asked.
"Yeah. Her brother is the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto and Johto," Ventus said.
"You mean, Sora Ketchum, the same Pokémon League Champion?!" Michael exclaimed in shock. He quickly shook it off. "No way. It can't be true."
"It's true. In fact, he's a picture of us to prove it," Karen said, showing Michael a photo of Sora and Karen celebrating their birthday. "Sora and I have the same birthday, so we're twins."
"It might be photoshopped," Michael said.
"Photoshopped?" Karen asked.
"I don't think it matters right now, because we should be looking for Jovi," Rex said as Ace nodded.
"Rex is right. I think she might be playing with Adon. He's always playing hide-and-seek with her. But I should pick up my PDA first," Michael said. With that said, the group entered Michael's room and picked up the PDA. "There. It should be good to have with me in case I get some messages." Karen, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Michael, the D-Team, Blossom, Sparky, Thor, Eclair, and the dinosaurs went to find Jovi over in Adon's area. They saw a man hiding under a table.
"Adon, did you see Jovi anywhere?" Michael asked.
"Not since we started playing. I've been hiding under here for a while, but I was starting to wonder what was taking her so long," Adon said.
"Is there anyplace she could have gone?" Michael asked.
"The only other place I can think of would be Dr. Kaminko's manor," Adon said.
"Who's Dr. Kaminko?" Max asked.
"He's an inventor. He lives in a mansion that isn't too far from the lab. But if she is there, then I better get here. I mean, she is very playful," Michael said.
"Well, I hope you find her soon, because my back is starting to hurt from being under here for too long," Adon said. Michael sighed.
"Well, I'll be seeing you later," Michael said.
"Actually, we're going with you," Terra said.
"Seriously?" Michael asked.
"Yeah, just seems like something we gotta do," Karen said.
"Besides, it's a good excuse to see more of the new region," Karen said.
"I guess you can tag along," Michael said.
Arriving in a new region, they've met Michael, and it begins by finding his missing sister. Stay tuned for more to come.
