Haijimari Ao liked her job, even if it sometimes angered her when she had to tell a self-entitled brat that they really aren't all that. The best part of her job was actually that because of her quirk if the spoiled brats complained to their parents, all she has to say in response was that it wasn't her fault that the future always showed the truth. It doesn't always work, but who are the parents going to continue their complaints to? She is her own superior, which really pisses them off once they find out.
When she came to her fourth middle school to check the next generation of students who wish to go to the hero course she didn't expect that the kid everyone laughed at for signing up for UA's hero course was going to be the one with the brightest and most interesting future. Though, when she looked farther, a she had a better understanding. This kid was quirkless, and yet would be the first Pro Hero from Japan that would get a license and would get it without having to go to a hero school. It was impressive, and one that made Haijimari look forward to the next part of her plan.
No one expected this. When the woman entered the classroom and was introduced, everyone including the teacher thought that she would instantly head towards Bakugou Katsuki. As she walked down the line of desks towards Bakugou, he showed a smug look. But then, she passed right by him, which caused jaws to drop. Things got worse when she stopped next to the desk of Midoriya Izuku, the quirkless kid.
Midoriya wasn't looking up, clearly believing that he would not have been picked. Then he heard some gasps, so he looked up. When he saw her standing right next to him with a warm smile, he was confused.
"Hello."
Her smile grew and that worried Midoriya.
"Midoriya Izuku, you will be the first Japanese Pro Hero without a quirk, and one of the few that will be able to get your license without going to a hero school."
That shocked people more than anything. Then the teacher laughed. "That's enough, Haijimari. You don't need to tease him. We all know that's inpossible." But she didn't laugh. In fact, the turned and glared at him.
"If you think I am joking, I have some interesting news for you." The tone of her voice proved her seriousness. It didn't help Bakugou's ego, which he carefully built, came tumbling down with intense speed. Students near him could see the sparks starting to pop in his palms, and they worried that he was going to try attacking Haijimari.
Before Bakugou could move, the walls around them change. They shimmer and then solidify into neverending space. Literal space. Well, besides the one wall that was turned into a theatre screen.
Everyone jumped up either because they were shocked, or to admire the intricacy of the 'room'. As they did, their desks disappeared and nice, plush armchairs appeared instead.
"What the hell is this!" It wasn't a question. Bakugou was furious and wasn't going to let this extra take everything he worked so hard for away with a few sentences. Too bad for him, that is exactly what was going to happen.
"This is the best part of my quirk, I can present the future of the person with the brightest future." Haijimari sighed deeply. "I have never had to use this aspect of my quirk on a job before, but then again, most people don't complain as much as you lot are."
"But we haven't complained." One student spoke up, but when she turned to face him with a raised eyebrow he backed down.
"You might not have been complaining, but your reactions to not only his name being on the list for me to look at, but also your own teachers laughter and derision when I stood in front of Midoriya Izuku told me enough."
That was when people noticed that Haijimari was no longer standing beside Deku, but was sitting on a couch with him. In between them was a small foldout table with two cup holders. Inside were two drinks, and on the table was a decent size bowl of popcorn. In front of the bowl, was a remote. What that was used for was obvious to most based on her small explanation of her quirk.
"Sit down so we can begin."
"Uhm, what exactly are we doing?"
A feral grin appeared on Haijimari's face. "Why, the rise of the Pro Hero Iron Man."
