Author's Note: As the title implies, what you are about to read is partially an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth with characters from the Kung Fu Panda movies, particularly the second film.

While there have been some alterations to the text, and the depictions of the characters from the movies, I believe that this version stays true to what made this story a timeless classic for so many people for the past four-hundred years.

Various members of the Animated Shakespeare Company are preparing to perform a production of "The Scottish Play," and are looking over the cast list.

Cast:

Lord Shen as Macbeth

Master Viper as Lady Macbeth

Master Crane as Banquo

Master Shifu as King Duncan

Master Po as Macduff

Master Tigress as Lady Macduff

The Soothsayer as The Witch

Master Croc as Malcolm

Lord Shen: This is going to be great! I was practically born to play this role.

Po: Well, you do seem to have a dramatic flair, so it only seemed fitting that we let you play the title character.

Crane: Is it a coincidence that both Banquo and Mac-I mean, the Scottish King are both birds?

Shifu: Thank goodness you didn't say the title. I heard that if you say it inside a theater it brings about bad luck, and yes, it is just a coincidence that both of you happen to be birds playing these characters.

Tigress: We already had enough of that in our own stories. Either being captured or in the case of Tai Lung, defeated to the point that poor Crane has to carry the rest of the team back the Jade Palace to recover. Let's just hope no one slips up and says that while in the theater.

Viper: I kind of wish Monkey and Mantis were here. But someone has to take care of things back home while we're away.

Shifu: Alright, tomorrow we will start rehearsals.
