DRAGON BALL HARDCORE

THE FRIEZA SAGA, part 2

.

.

The Ginyu force had finally arrived at Namek, and some other distant travelers from earth weren't too far off behind them. Their first order was to bring in some top-quality scouters, and now, they have the mission to kill Vegeta and everyone else they find, then bring back the dragon balls in his possession. And so they set off to do their special task.

Vegeta knew who had just arrived, and he knew it was trouble. He sends the earthlings an ultimatum: join forces and fight the Ginyus together, or die one by one. Although they have no respect or care for each other, they saw no other way. Piccolo straight up said that he's going to kill Vegeta, but he can feel the ki of their new enemies and he decides to join forces anyway. Nail has the power to take them on, but he has the job to look after Guru at all costs, and wishes them luck. The warriors go back to Bulma's hideout, refuse to elaborate about the last four days that they were in constant fight for survival, grab their dragon ball and just leave her there. She'll be fine, probably.

Vegeta said that they had no hope of survival if they didn't allow him to wish for his immortality, but Piccolo was having none of that. But before they could argue any longer, Ginyu and his boys were already there. Vegeta tried throwing his dragon ball, but Burter caught it; Krillin tried smashing his, but Guldo took it from him somehow. Ginyu took all of them, and headed back to Frieza, ordering his men to take their picks and kill them all.

The squad decided who they would kill on rock paper scissors, and the one who had to deal with Gohan and Krillin ended up being Guldo. Turned out that he was a psychic like Chiaotzu was, and those abilities of his compensated for his lack of sheer power. Regardless, he was at the absolute back foot the entire battle, only surviving by short instances of stopping time while they showered him with ki blasts. Eventually, he managed to hold down both of them in place as they got too close, and prepared to impale them with a tree. But just as he was about to do it, Piccolo jumped in really fast and cut off his head from his shoulders. One down, no one really cared, and three to go. They got to see some really impressive power levels from these guys, the bald one with 23.000, the kid with 21.000, the Namekian with 30.000 and Vegeta, also at 30.000. No problem.

Next up, Recoome went to fight Vegeta. And to cut it short, it was an absolute wash. Vegeta put up enough of a good fight, but Recoome just didn't seem phased by any of his attacks at all. It reached a point where Piccolo tried to intervene, and so Burter attacked him to back up Recoome and started wrecking Piccolo. Then Gohan and Krillin had to make the save, barely saving Piccolo and Vegeta, but now Jeice joined as well and started to beat them up just as easily. Gohan was the last one standing, and he fought bravely like his father would've done, but he was no match to Recoome, or Jeice and Burter, and ended up having his neck broken, and clinging on life by a thread. Little did the others know, but reinforcements have arrived.

The Capsule Corp ship landed swiftly on the barren lands. The front gate soundly opened to reveal Goku, Tien and Yamcha standing there looking like absolute badasses. They instantly caught the feeling of Frieza's ki, but Yamcha didn't worry as Goku could absolutely put him down with his new level of Kaioken, although Goku himself wasn't sure. The one thing they knew is that their friends' ki signatures were really low, and they had to hurry up. And as they went, they witnessed Village upon village destroyed, without even the courtesy of burying their bodies. Tien promised that all these innocent lives would be avenged. Their training at 100 times gravity will show its spoils very soon.

They arrive just in time to save Gohan, and Goku immediately gives him a Senzu Bean to save him from death. The Ginyu force didn't see too much problem, just three extra fools to deal with; no big deal. Reecome attacked before they could even read out their powers, and for that he paid dearly. Goku gave him an elbow strike to the stomach, and he was out in a single attack that he couldn't see coming.

Goku was still holding down his power, but Yamcha and Tien stood up to face Jeice and Burter while Goku heals their allies. The number that they read from their scouters is 50.000 for Yamcha, and 51.000 for Tien. Just a little bit below Jeice and Burter's 51.000 and 52.000.

Vegeta and Piccolo were completely baffled by that revelation. Yamcha and Tien grew stronger than them in those six days? Those two couldn't match up to Nappa not more than a month ago. Goku explained that training on increased Gravity surely is a very effective form of training. Vegeta saw how powerful Goku had become, and he wondered, could it be that this low-class buffoon has become a super Saiyan like the legends? No, there was no way.

Tien and Yamcha could probably defeat them on power and skills alone, but they wanted to test drive the new techniques they developed.

On the basis of the Kaioken, Yamcha tried doing it and succeeded, but the result was quite painful and tiring just for a simple two times increase. So he wondered if there was anything else he could develop from that, and eventually he did. By focusing the Ki mostly on his limbs instead of his heart, something strange happened; his arm grew something of a ki sword. It was pretty reckless and long, but he tried it again, and again, and again, honing it to near perfect control. And the result was something that he liked to call "The Ultimate Wolf Fang Fist".

Just then, small ki streams popped from the tip of his fingers, resembling sharp claws of a wolf. At the same time, Yamcha focused his ki on his legs, and that allowed his feet movements to be way faster than it normally would. He and Jeice were fighting on the same level, yet Jeice and his scouter couldn't track Yamcha's movements because of his new technique. Yamcha suddenly appeared in front of Jeice and attacked him, but as Jeice tried to block Yamcha's new claws slashed through his arm, through his armor and almost fatally wounded his chest. Jeice immediately entered his cowardly mode, and got even more scared when he saw what happened to Burter.

On their side of the battlefield, Tien was just with his eyes closed as Burter tried to figure out what he was doing. Eventually he got bored and rushed Tien, and they started to fight. It was pretty balanced, and it was quite a shock for the "fastest in the universe" to have all his simple moves being read like he is a book, but Tien's third eye doesn't let anything escape. Eventually, he saw what Tien had been doing, as energy was visibly coming from the air and entering his body. Tien gathered that energy in his hands, and entered his pose. And so he shouted, "Shin Kikoho!"

A beam of light instantly shot out of his hands. The last thing that Burter saw was the number 260.000 on his Scouter, and then, he was enveloped by the light, and even if Tien didn't really intended to be deadly, Burter was dead and nothing but dust was left behind. And the best part: normally Tien would be completely devoid of energy after using it once, but by using natural energy with just a pinch of his own, he felt nothing and still unleashed a Kikoho just as strong if not stronger than any other before in his life.

Jeice got the memo to get out of there and call the captain; Yamcha was about to give chase, but Goku remarked that there was no point. With all the Z-warriors reunited, they had a very important matter to discuss: What are they gonna do to Vegeta?

He was still on the floor, bleeding and broken because Goku hadn't given him a Senzu Bean yet. Tien, Yamcha and Piccolo voted to leave him to die, although Piccolo wanted to kill him now rather than give him the opportunity to recuperate. Meanwhile, Goku, Gohan and Krillin were a bit unsure of what to do with him. But it was then that Vegeta used his silver tongue to get himself out of a bad spot once more.

He told them something that shook them a little: Frieza knew that they came from Earth. Even if they stop his wish, and save at least a few Namekians from extinction, Frieza will come for them eventually and slaughter them. Their only chance now was to put an end to him right here and now, and Vegeta was willing to help them if they heal him with those beans. Yamcha remarked that he was too weak now to help them against that guy, but Piccolo stated that he and Goku, as Saiyans, become stronger by surviving near-death experiences, and that his power might grow tremendously if they do heal him; but that would be a good or a bad thing? Before they could discuss it a little further, Goku just threw the bean at him. He ate it, and his first impression on the rest of the group was shooting a blast at the unconscious Recoome, killing him.

If it was right or not, it doesn't matter. Vegeta was fully healed and with his power nearly five times more powerful, at 120.000. Naturally the others were a bit freaked out by this, but Vegeta indulged into their little alliance for now. They got some catching up to do, telling the others the developments so far. Suddenly Piccolo was telepathically called by Dende, saying that Elder Guru and Nail were in danger. Frieza himself has come for them.

While the battle against the Ginyu force was ensuing, Captain Ginyu headed back to Frieza's ship, where he delivered the seven dragon balls to him, and they were ready to make his wish. However, there was something that they didn't account for; a secret password to summon the dragon. The gullible and cruel Frieza ended up killing all the Namekians, and now no one could possibly know it. However, upon a quick search with his new Scouter, he found three power levels kept at 1 far away, and went straight after them. And as Frieza faded into view, Ginyu realized that his men were fighting a Namekian too, and decided to head back as fast as possible before they killed him. But before that, he buried the dragon balls where only he could know, and headed off.

He met with Jeice halfway there, and he proceeded to explain that everyone was killed, and that the enemies now have powerful reinforcements with powers up to 52.000. Ginyu with his power of 120.000 felt pretty safe in going with Jeice for revenge. And soon enough, they met with the Z-warriors, still thinking of how to deal with the situation. Now with Ginyu here, and being more powerful than everyone else, Goku tells them to leave this to him and Vegeta.

Piccolo took everyone along to Bulma; Yamcha carried her to the new ship; they grabbed the dragon radar, and then they split again. Gohan and Krillin took the radar and went after the unprotected dragon balls now that they know Frieza is with Guru. Piccolo took Tien and Yamcha to go check out what was going on with Dende and Nail, and on that they can unlock the two's hidden potential, and help out in that fight against Frieza.

Goku was ready to double team Ginyu with Vegeta, but Vegeta had other plans. He just left Goku alone against the two, and went straight for Frieza's ship to get the dragon balls. Goku thought, "Perhaps giving him that senzu bean wasn't the best call."

Ginyu wasn't worried because he had hidden them. Now he can take care of Goku, who at full power had 90.000. But then Goku showed his mistake, using Kaioken 2x for a split second, now with 180.000 and no fatigue at all. That got Ginyu a little freaked out, but soon he saw that as an opportunity. Goku, completely unaware of what was about to happen, did nothing as Ginyu plunged his own hand into his chest and got into position.

He used his Change technique, and stole Goku's body. Goku, now in Ginyu's body and a deep wound in his chest, was simply left behind to die while Ginyu Goku and Jeice went back to Frieza's ship in order to catch up to Vegeta and kill him. Vegeta had already arrived, killed all the personnel and got a change of clothes and armor. He was unable to find the dragon balls, but that wouldn't be a problem for too long. Gohan and Krillin arrived and immediately found the buried dragon balls with the radar. Vegeta was prepared to kill them once they summoned the dragon for him. However, they too didn't know how to, and before they could've figured it out, Ginyu Goku and Jeice came to claim their heads.

He got a slight surprise attack on Krillin, but it was barely worth anything for he didn't know the Kaioken, and couldn't surpass the power of 90.000. Krillin and Gohan meanwhile, had their power continuously strengthened by Guru's potential-unlocking magic, and now they stand at 75.000 for Gohan and 80.000 for Krillin, and together they wreck Ginyu Goku. All the while Vegeta was busy beating up and killing Jeice. He was up to kill Ginyu in Kakarot's body, but soon Goku Ginyu arrived, half dead.

Now seeing Vegeta with a power of 150.000, gained after resting a little, he decided to use his Change technique on him, But Goku Ginyu jumped in front of the technique, and now everyone was back to their own bodies; Goku now was severely injured by being beaten by Gohan and Krillin. At last, Ginyu tried changing bodies with Vegeta once more, but Goku managed to throw a frog in the way, making Ginyu stuck in its body. Vegeta got rid of Ginyu's body and decided to let the frog live, as he saw it as way better punishment than sending Ginyu straight to hell. Vegeta still needed to play the part of ally until they got the password to summon the dragon, so then he decided to put Goku in Frieza's healing pod; the crappy one at the back, since he ended up blowing all the good ones in his earlier escape.

It would take a couple of hours, so he gave Gohan and Krillin some spare armor and decided to rest inside next to Goku, while Krillin went to catch up with Dende. Their plan was to waste two wishes in dumb stuff, and as the last wish send Frieza away to a remote planet with no chance of escape; Frieza would be dealt with and Vegeta wouldn't be able to make his wish for a year. So he set out towards Guru's place; hopefully the others are alright. He met up with Dende halfway there, and now Dende had his abilities ascended by having his potential unlocked by Guru.

Turns out that Frieza arrived at their hideout temple and wished to take the secret password by force. Nail then promised Frieza that he would give him the password if he could defeat him in a fight, and so they went off to a far away place. Guru gave Dende a power boost and sent him to aid the earthlings in summoning Porunga. It was their last hope, and so Dende blasted off. And after a few hours of flying, he was now here.

They reunite with Gohan, and now with Vegeta resting, they take the dragon balls somewhere far away, and they summon the mighty dragon, Porunga. The sky turned black all over the planet. He was not long like Shenron, but gigantic still, and he sure hit the gym in his free time. Turns out that the secret to summon Porunga was to just speak in ancient Namekian. So they started wishing, but just then they felt Frieza's ki approaching super fast, and it scared them. The first wish that Gohan made was that his mom would live a very healthy life, and perhaps a little less protective and demanding of her family, so Porunga granted it with no problem. Krillin didn't have a wish himself but he had a wish for a friend, which he spoke in Dende's ear, And so Porunga granted the simple wish. And for the last wish, they wanted Frieza gone to a planet far, far away that he could never escape from.

However, they never got the chance to make this wish, as Vegeta suddenly arrived at the scene, and held Dende by his neck. He woke up when he felt Frieza's ki and decided to run away, but then he saw the giant dragon out the window and saw his "allies" about to betray him. Now, his wish is very simple: "Make me immortal!"

But before Dende did what he said, Porunga faded away, and the dragon balls turned to stone. Dende knew that it meant Guru had finally died, and that brought him to tears. But there was no time to mourn or fight one another, because a pissed off Frieza just arrived at the scene.

While the rest were having their own troubles with Ginyu, Piccolo's team finally arrived at Guru's place, only to find it destroyed and with Guru sitting there alone. He explained to them Frieza's arrival and Nail's sacrifice, and said he sent out Dende to help the others summon the dragon. Guru knew he was going to die; his life was near its end way before this whole crisis even started, and he regrets not being able to protect his own people again, the same as hundreds of years ago. As his last sparks of strength, he fully unlocked Tien and Yamcha's true potential, and told Piccolo that Nail was still clinging to life and that he should go after him. He has a gift to Piccolo that he won't regret. And as for his last wish he asks the three to please protect Dende at all costs. His people's history, their art, and their legacy now is with him. For all their lost brothers in this horrible crisis, he needs to live on.

Yamcha, Piccolo and Tien, looking down, promised to protect Dende at all costs, as it was because of the Saiyans coming to Earth and learning about the dragon balls that they came here in the first place; it was their fault, and now they are committed to not let the last Namekian child die, even if it cost them their lives. Yamcha and Tien took off, going straight to fight Frieza, with their fresh new powers of 600.000, while Piccolo went towards Nail's faint energy in the opposite way.

On their way there, they saw the sky turn black like a void, and figured Gohan and Krillin were successful, and that maybe this whole situation would be cleared out like this. But no, something went wrong. Guru, feeling that an evil wish was about to be made by the dragon balls, saw no better option than to end his own life by stopping his heart. And so the skies were cleared, and the evil wish didn't happen. The great leader of the Namekian people refused to let another tragedy take place.

Tien and Yamcha saw it happen, but Frieza's ki was still on the planet. Something terrible had happened for the plan to fail, but they were sure to defeat Frieza if they fought together now. But then, Yamcha realized that something was now on his closed fist as he flew. Krillin was kind enough to make the wish Yamcha wanted.

The wish Krillin made was to give his friend Yamcha a wedding ring that was perfect for his girlfriend, Bulma; and Porunga granted it. The ring was truly perfect, and Yamcha asked Tien if he could wait a little bit while they passed over their ship. Bulma was waiting there; ready to leave as soon as the others showed up, but now she only sees Yamcha. She got really aggressive, telling him about all the perils she had to deal with for the past week, and the crabs, and the alien god-like beings. She always lets it all blow on Yamcha, not because she hates him but because she feels free and safe talking to him; she trusts that Yamcha won't turn her down for expressing how she really feels, even if she is harsh.

Yamcha came here now because he realized that he might never get another chance to do it, so he gets on his knee, shows her the ring and asks if the genius progeny of a world-class scientific enterprise would marry this bum that she found in the desert?

The look in her eyes changed from confusion to glare full of twinkles. She laughed at his joke, and jumped on top of him with a hug, asking why it took him so long to ask. She gives him a little kiss, and wonders off thinking about where they could hold the ceremony, who to call, where they should get the cake, but Yamcha was already at the door saying that first he needs to kick an evil emperor's ass; "Stay here and be safe."

And so, he blasted off and Tien followed him. On the way, he asks Tien to stay sharp and not overdo it, because he wants all his friends alive for the party.

In the battle against Frieza, Vegeta was managing to fight him one versus one with his newfound bullshit power of 550.000; winning the fight by little and destroying Frieza's scouter in the process. Vegeta knew that it wasn't all he was capable of, he knew Frieza could transform like Zarbon and increase his power with it. Turns out he was spot on, and so Frieza begins his instantaneous transformation.

He grew four times his original size, and his horns changed shape. He looked more intimidating, and was certainly more powerful than all the others present. As he himself stated, his power now should be of 1.000.000.

Krillin, Goku and Vegeta had no chance, but it turned out that Dende had his magic ability enhanced by his true potential, and now he could heal wounds on his party. That new power is what saved Gohan and Krillin from death, and Krillin even managed to cut off Frieza's tail with his Kienzan. They fought with all they had, but it seemed way too hopeless. That was until Yamcha and Tien arrived at the battle.

Frieza completely underestimated the two of them; they were no Saiyans or Namekians, just a guy with three eyes and a fairly handsome gentleman. That lack of focus got him a punch in the face by Tien that sent him flying. As Frieza crash lands on the waters below, Tien remarks, "Did the evil alien murderer just call you pretty?"

Turns out that after all this time, Guru's power still kept an effect on them. Gohan was now at 260.000, Krillin at 250.000, Vegeta still at 550.000, and Tien and Yamcha were both at 750.000 now after their long trip back. Together, they attacked Frieza. They could pose a serious threat against him with their fists, but it was a whole new level when they brought in their techniques. Tien made a single clone of himself, splitting his power in half, and sent it to distract Frieza with the others, while he stood hidden and gathered natural energy.

Yamcha started the assault by making a Soukidan, and throwing it at Frieza, but missed. Frieza smiled at him just as the attack came back and hit Frieza at the back of the head. He continued to attack him with it, until Frieza kicked the ball away and it exploded. He shouted, "What game are you gonna play now, earthling?"

Yamcha smirked, and what he did was just double his efforts. He made two motherfucking Soukidans, one for each hand, and threw it at Frieza. He tried, but he couldn't dodge both of them at once, and got hit multiple times across his body, until he said enough and rushed straight at Yamcha. But, he was surprised as Gohan suddenly came from above and kicked Frieza down towards the ground. Krillin and Tien's clone were waiting for him there, and they both kicked him to the skies again where he was met with Vegeta, who bashed him towards the ground, forming a crater on his impact. And just as he thought it was over, the two Soukidans came flying down on him really fast, and blew up in contact.

From the smoke, Frieza stood up, still smiling. That was a cute attempt of teamwork, but it was just enough to give him a little massage, and at best a scratch. Little did Frieza know, that wasn't the end of it. Tien appeared on top of him; his clone faded away, and he was ready to fire. He put his hands together in a triangle, and down he unleashed his Shin Kikoho. Frieza's first instinct was to fire a blast back, but as the Kikoho was fired it pressed down against Frieza's energy. He couldn't offer too much resistance against the Kikoho at the power of 3.750.000. He did survive though, considerably hurt, and he was mad. It was time to show these lowlifes why he is the strongest in the universe.

At the bottom of the huge square hole that Tien just opened on the land, Frieza was transforming into his Third Form. They all felt his energy increase, towering once again all of them. In a flash, all hope faded. Vegeta fired a desperate energy blast at the hole, only for it to do nothing. Frieza was now back at a normal size, fully healed from his wounds, with his head elongated along his shoulders and a new set of horns.

The first one attacked was Tien, suddenly Frieza appeared before him and with a shower of finger beams through his body. The others rushed to save him, but he still overpowered them completely. Dende was at the back lines, and he helped heal Tien. He was told to go away since this fight was at a level far too high for him to be meddling around; not to mention it was getting hopeless. Now they needed a miracle; and a miracle was soon about to arrive.

While the warriors fought Second Form Frieza, Piccolo managed to find Nail dying after a brief fight with Frieza. He was sad that he couldn't avenge his people, but he saw hope in Piccolo. From one warrior to another, they knew that Frieza must pay for what he had done, and Nail wasn't willing to die for nothing. There was one last thing he could do for Piccolo, and so he asked that Piccolo put his hand on Nail, so then they could become one and increase their powers. Piccolo's current 650.000 would be united with Nail's 250.000, added and multiplied, and the result would be the last and strongest Namekian warrior of all time. Piccolo accepted, and so the light enveloped them.

Nail was no more, and now Piccolo stood alone in this empty planet that once belonged to his fellowship; to his people. With Nail's memories he could see all that it once was, all the peace and prosperity, the happiness of the children, and the good work of the elders; all things that can't be brought back. He mired on this ungodly power given to him, and promises: Frieza will pay, and the Namekians shall not go extinct. In a flash he flew towards the other side of the planet, and there he met up with the others, beaten and bloody, and Gohan standing up while the others couldn't. Piccolo was ready for payback.

Frieza in his third form was pretty relaxed. It held the power of 30.000,000; way above anything else he ever met on any planet, except only for his father, king Cold and his brother Cooler. Imagine his reaction when Piccolo arrived, took off his cape and his turban, and proceeded to completely and utterly wreck Frieza. Turns out the strongest Namekian of all time has a very good power of 32.000.000. To say the least, the others had no chance anymore and hoped Piccolo had this on the bag. However, Vegeta did not like how things were turning out to be, because he knew Frieza should have another form, and so he had to do something. He called Tien, Yamcha, Krillin and Dende; took them somewhere else, and asked for them to attack and wound him. If they bring him to near death, Dende can heal him back and he'll be more powerful.

Krillin wasn't sure about it, but Tien and Yamcha just looked at each other. Then, Yamcha just dashed towards Vegeta and started hitting all his vital points with his Wolf Fang Fist style, knocked loose his teeth, shattered most of his bones, bruised him all over, and finally gut punched him to the floor. Tien walked over, pointed his finger and shot both his arms and his legs with a quick and precise Dodon Ray, making Vegeta start bleeding. Yamcha said, "Man, that was pretty satisfying! Can wait to see how much power he gains from this," and Tien says, "Now it's up for Dende to decide to help him or not."

Vegeta looked at Dende and saw his victory, but Dende looked at Vegeta, and saw a monster that slaughtered his brothers and neighbors without a second thought, just for his wish of immortality. Dende looked away, and Vegeta was left bleeding alone. "You damn idiots will pay for this," he mumbled faintly.

Frieza was locked in a battle with Piccolo for far too long, and he saw he couldn't beat him with this form. He praised the Namekian for such immense strength, but at the end of the day this is still the beginning of Frieza's true power. He wanted them to suffer as much as possible, and there was no better suffering than to give them hope, only to pull out the rug from under them. And that is exactly what he was about to do.

While they all gaze desperately, Frieza transforms into his final form. A more refined and simple look; no more horns or weird exoskeletons covering his chest. Now he was pure, and unbelievably powerful. With the tables turned, Frieza effortlessly puts Piccolo down. Gohan with his rage boost tried to attack Frieza, but even that wasn't enough at all. One by one the warriors tried their luck and failed. Yamcha's new energy claws couldn't even remotely pierce through Frieza's skin. Krillin's Kienzan was like a Frisbee that he grabbed with his bare hands. Tien couldn't even make a Shin Kikoho because their surroundings and Namek itself was nearly devoid of natural life. They were left trembling while Frieza just glances at them and smiles.

Dende knew things took a nosedive for the bad, and he decided to sneak away while the others were busy with Frieza, and he healed the dying Vegeta. It was the only thing he could do to save the others. Once it was done, the first thing Vegeta did was slap Dende unconscious as revenge for leaving him like that. He was so confident that with this new power he could take down Frieza that he had no problem knocking out their life saver.

Vegeta arrived at the scene in time to save Gohan from one of Frieza's death beams. He told the defeated warriors to watch in admiration, as Vegeta had finally realized the legend. He wasn't just an elite anymore, he was the greatest Saiyan in the entire universe; the legendary Super Saiyan. He now reached the power of 50.000.000; a truly incredible power. And with that he challenged Frieza to a one on one. Frieza reminded himself that he better kill that Namekian child before any of the others get the chance to be healed, but Vegeta, in his own way, saved Dende by claiming that he had killed that one himself, Frieza didn't have to worry. It was just him and Vegeta now.

Vegeta rushed to the offensive, and he thought to have Frieza on the ropes because he would only dodge his attacks. All his punches and kicks, all his ki bullets. At the end Vegeta wanted to put him down with his absolutely strongest attack. He flew up in the sky and made the sky go dark as he prepared the strongest Galick Gun he would ever fire, and he unleashed it down towards Frieza, who only smirked.

As if it was nothing, Frieza slapped all his power away like a fly. With no spiritual training at all, Vegeta never learned how to focus all of his energy into an attack to make it stronger, and that Galick Gun was no more powerful than anything else he tried. Vegeta was left completely humiliated, and he pretty much gave up. He flew down, tears involuntarily leaking from his eyes. Frieza was kind of bummed out that after all he had to kill Vegeta. He honestly wanted to play with him a little longer, but the truth was Vegeta could only reach half of Frieza's full power despite his desperation.

Frieza proceeded to break Vegeta's body just like he did to his pride and will. By the end Vegeta was left crying at his mercy. The Z-warriors on the other side weren't afraid that they would lose Vegeta, more so that they would lose their last capable fighter. They were all injured and Dende was out of the picture. Strangely enough, they forgot about the one who always arrived at the latest and worst times that they were about to face.

Being stuck to the healing pod for a good 12 hours, Goku's near-death boost was much more gradual and effective, and when he woke up, he ended up with the power of 3.000.000. Goku did not fear at all that he was about to face the strongest one in the universe, he was even excited, but he could not allow his friends to suffer any longer.

He broke free of his pod and immediately headed for the battle. He arrived just in time to stop Frieza from plunging his fist through Vegeta. And you know, seeing this Goku that they mentioned so much now, he kind of reminds Frieza of someone else. Yeah, that's right; that one Saiyan on that day he blew up planet Vegeta; that lone warrior was the only one that had the courage to rebel against him with his last breaths. It was truly touching and hilarious to Frieza; and now Goku looks so similar to him. What a coincidence.

Vegeta still had air on him to speak nonsense apparently. This time, he claimed that Goku was the real deal, a super Saiyan just like himself, and that he would kill Frieza once and for all. Frieza was more than tired from hearing this, and decided to do something drastic. With a death beam faster than light he pierced Vegeta's lung. His hubris came to bite him, as Dende was unconscious and he had no one to save him.

Throughout his life, Vegeta only had one emotion in his heart, and that was pride of his powers, his status, and his unbounded fate. He never cared for anything else other than those three things, but for the first time he lost all of them; at the same time. His powers were not enough, his class was nothing but a show that he put up for himself, and his fate was now sealed. Now, he decided to let it all go.

He cries, and in his last words he explains to Goku how the Saiyans were nothing but slaves from birth, doing everything Frieza told them to, without question. And in the end he killed them all; his father, and Goku's, as well as their mothers. All because he feared for the day they would grow too powerful, and that the legendary Super Saiyan would be born to defeat Frieza once and for all. Vegeta wants to believe that Goku is that Saiyan. "So please," he asks, "Kakarot, defeat him with your Saiyan hands and avenge… us."

And so, the mighty prince of the ultimate warrior race died. What he left behind was a legacy of destruction, pain and suffering of which he was proud to the very end.

After a moment of silence, Goku used Kiai to open a hole on the ground, and he carried Vegeta's body to make that his grave. As he buried him, he came to understand. The truth was: Goku hated Vegeta for who he was and what he did to them, but even so he admired this pride that he held high at every moment of his life. And now, Goku just wants a piece of all that pride, to help him in this fight.

As he turned to Frieza, he exclaimed:

"I am a Saiyan, raised on Earth. And regardless of what I am, and what I was supposed to be by my origins, I only know one thing right now. For all the innocent people that you slaughtered; for all the Saiyans that you murdered, and for all these Namekians that you killed… I promise.

I AM GOING TO FINISH YOU!"
