Sectionals is coming up, and more tension arise because of quinn parents, and two more unannounced guest
Will apartment:
Will is standing in his kitchen. He was standing by a stove. He was stirring brown soup in a pot before kneeling down and opened his oven, seeing meatloaf cooking up. A drop of broth hits Will on his neck, making him scream in pain. He stood up to see the soup bubbling, and he made a nervous expression before turning the stove off and lifted the pot, but then felt the burning sensation on his hands, making him scream as he dropped the pot on the ground, letting the soup pour out of the pot and landed on the kitchen floor
Will sigh before putting on his oven mits he forgot earlier, and pulled the meatloaf out of the oven. He turned around and walked toward the dining area, but slipped on the soup and fell on his back as the meatloaf fell on the ground and slid away from Will. He slowly stand up in pain, and notice the broken meatloaf. A knock was heard, making Will stepped over the soup and walked into his living room, and headed toward his front door. He opened the door, revealing shelby, who smiled when the door opened
Now in the dining room. Will and shelby were sitting together, with empty chinese takeout box on the table. Will looks at shelby, who was using some chopsticks to lift a piece of tangerine chicken, and took a bite. Will says. "sorry again, i wanted to make you dinner".
Shelby grabbed a napkin and wiped her mouth before saying. "no, it's fine. I was in the mood for chinese actually. Can i have the last eggroll?". Will nodded as he handed the last eggroll to shelby, who put the piece of food on her plate. "so how's unemployment been treating you?". Shelby says "it's actually good. The school gave me four months pay so i have time to look for new opportunity"
Will: i can get you an interview with the principal at Mckinley for you
Shelby shook her head. "no, well maybe. But With the pay i'm getting. I'm using this time to help rachel". Will slowly look down while using his chopstick to move his rice around. "how is she?".
Shelby took a deep breath before saying. "she's doing good. Her main problems is at nights. The pills she's been taking helps, but she still gets night terrors sometime... I still can't believe jesse would do this".
Will: well. You got your daughter back
Shelby smiled. "yes, i did". A knock was heard from Will apartment door, making him look confused. "uhh. Excuse me". Will put his chopsticks down before standing up and walked toward his front door, and opened it, revealing his parents. Larry and mindy schuester. "Surprised" his mother said as her husband lifted up their luggage. Will, with a surprised expression, says. "Mom! dad! what a nice surprise".
Larry laugh as the two walked into the apartment. "see the look on his face. Oh we got him good". Larry put the bags down by the couch while mindy gave Will a hug. "what are you guys doing here?".
Larry removed his hat before saying. "we just got back from a sales conference in florida. And when we got back, our dam house is infested with termites". Mindy let go of Will and says. "we figured we could stay here until the house is fumigated".
Larry: you don't mind, do you, son?
Will quickly shook his head. "no, no, not at all. It's just". Will was cut off by shelby as she walked into the living room, holding her wine glass. "will?". Shelby notice the married couple
Mindy notice shelby and says. "oh. Uh, Hi. I'm mindy, Will mother". Shelby makes a shock expression. "oh, your Mrs. Schuester". Larry pointed at shelby. "who's this?".
Will: uhh. Well this is shelby corcoran. We are. Well. Uhh. We never discussed names
Shelby smiled before saying. "Me and Will have been going out". Larry looks at Will with an amazed expression. "woah. You finally moving on. I mean, i miss kendra, but i'm glad your moving on". Will smiled. "thanks dad. We were in a middle of dinner, actually". Mindy groaned. "oh no, we interrupted our son"s date. Should we go?".
Will: what, no i don't want you to go
Shelby: theirs some leftover if your two are hungry?
Will says. "i'll heat some up". Little bit later, the four are sitting in the living room, larry was sitting on the armchair while mindy, shelby, and Will were sitting on the couch. Larry lean forward and set his coffee mug on the table. "so, how did you two meet?".
Shelby looked down ashamed, and Will slowly says. "well. Her daughter is one of my students and we kinda started talking". Shelby look up at Will with a smile. Mindy says "oh, how romantic, how old's your daughter?". Shelby says "fourteen... Uhh, i got pregnant in highschool". Mindy slowly nodded
Shelby: she's a really good kid, though. She's also a member of Will glee club
Mindy, with a surpised expression, asked. "william, your running the glee club?". Will slowly nodded. "yup. That's right". Larry says "why?". Will says "well, mostly because of this kid, shelby daughter. She seem lost, but when i heard her sing. I saw potential". Mindy says "oh, but you haven't boost up her confidents, right?". Shelby, with confusion, says. "i'm sorry, what?".
Larry: hey, show business is a very competitive thing. Sometimes people won't make it and they may be disappointed
Shelby: well, yeah, but not if you try
Mindy slowly nodded. "well, yeah, but, kids need to be realistic. I mean, Will had a dream to be in broadway, but that never happened". Will sigh before saying. "it's true, i didn't maks it, but these kids have a future in showbusiness. You should see them".
Larry says. "We don't mean anything bad, but we're just making sure that your not giving them too much confidents. They'll be crush when they don't make it". Shelby looks at Will with a shock expression as he took a large sip of his drink. Shelby turn back to the schuester's and says. "well. How about you check out the glee club". Will choked on his drink before setting his cup back down on the table. Mindy asked "you mean, go to the school?". Shelby nodded, making larry smile. "i love it. We never seen where our son works"
Will wiped his mouth before saying. "Uhh, shelby can i speak to you for a minute". Shelby slowly nodded as she and Will stood up and walked out of the apartment, and stood in the hallway. Will closed the door before saying. "ok, what was that about?".
Shelby: your gonna let your parents said that stuff to those kids. I have never seen parents who break their own kids dreams
Will: they just don't wanted to see me get hurt. It didn't work out for me
Shelby: That's because they talked about being realistic you never persuade it
Will: Ok, i get it. But why did you invite them to Mckinley?
Shelby: they don't think those kids. My daughter, can't make it in showbusiness. I say prove them wrong and show them it's good to follow you dreams.. I did it because when you told me about them, i thought they might regret pushing your dreams away, but i see no that they think following your dreams is a death sentence. You gotta show them that their wrong". Will sigh while rubbing his chin with frustration
The next day:
In Mckinley high, emma walked into the teacher lounge, seeing larry and mindy standing by the coffee machine. "oh, hello. This is for teacher's only, are you substitute's?". Larry says. "oh, we are just waiting for our son"
Will walked into the lounge and says. "Hey, emma, I- Oh, mom, dad. I thought i said come around Four". Mindy says "we couldn't wait. Plus we had some time to kill". Emma looks at the couple, and Will. "oh, your Will's parents. Hi, i'm emma pillsbury". Larry wiped his nose before holding his hand out to shake emma's hand, but emma took out a couple of rubber gloves and puts them on before shaking larry hand. Larry pulled his hand away with confusion
Will: this is emma, she's the school guidance counselor
Emma smiled before saying. "it's nice to meet the parents of one of the best teacher's here". Will smiled. Mindy asked. "oh so he's a good spanish teacher". Emma winced before saying. "uhh, yeah, but i was talkin about glee".
Larry sat down on one of the chairs before saying. "yeah, Will girlfriend mention he's director of glee. He was in glee himself". Will nodded. "i was, yeah".
Mindy: he had this dream about using those skills for a career, good thing you got a teacher degree first
Will slowly nodded. "yeah". Emma makes a confused expression. "so your here to see the glee club performing?". Mindy nodded. "yeah. Will and shelby kept telling us that those kids have potential, we thought we should see ourselves". Will checked the time on his watch before saying. "they should be in the music room in a minute. We should go now, let me just get some coffee". Larry and mindy walked out of the lounge while Will started pouring some coffee in his travel mug. Emma says "your parents are. Something else".
Will nodded. "yeah. They raised me to settle instead of following my dream". Emma shook her head. "that's ridiculous. Kids should follow their passion". Will put the cap back on his mug before saying. "well, when they see my kids performing. I'm sure they'll think that"
Music room:
The glee club were all together, standing around the bleachers. Puck was playing the guitar while finn was playing the drum set that was set up beside the bleachers. The glee club are currently dancing around and singing together for fun

Quinn says "it actually feels so long since we sang together, all of us". Rachel smiled before saying. "i felt the same when i was in the hospital. Kurt says. "It's a good thing your back. Santana was a ok captain, but you are great". Santana crumped up a sheet of paper before throwing it at kurt head, making everyone laugh until a clap was heard, making the group turn toward the music room door to see Will, larry, and mindy. "alright, guys, looks loke you were practicing without me. Before we begin, i like to introduce you guys some guest. My parents, mindy and larry schuester". The group started to wave at the couple while rachel walked up and shook mindy hand. "Hi, i'm rachel berry, captain of new direction". She said
Will looks at his parents and says. "this is also shelby's daughter". Mindy looks at rachel bruises. "what happened to your face". Rachel shrugged. "it's a long story that i don't like to talk about". Mindy says "but, i mean you have bruises everyw-". Will interrupt his mom. "mom. She doesn't wanna talk about it". Mindy shrugged as rachel walked back to her group
Larry: woah, this is your glee club? this is the most weirdest group of teens i ever seen
Mercedes looks at rory with a confused expression. "why does everyone say that?". Rory shrugged. Will says "my parents wanted to check out glee themselves after i told them about you. So, why don't we give them a show. Let's head to the auditorium for more room".
Later in the auditorium. The schuester's were sitting behind Will desk. The glee club were standing on the stage. Rachel was standing by the edge of the stage, infront of a microphone stand. "alright, guys. Show us what you got". Rachel nodded as the music started blaring out of the speakers, and she started singing

Rachel makes a nervous expression before messaging her neck. Will says "What? no, she's been checked out by the doctor, she's fine". Santana patted rachel back, making her smile. Larry says "how often do you guys practice?".
Will: most of the week after-school. These guys been working hard for sectionals
Larry: it's just a competition
Will shook his head. "no, dad, this is different. If we don't win sectionals. The club is disbanded". Larry makes a shock expression. "really?". Kurt says "at the beginning we had doubts, but i think we can win". Quinn says "to hell with think, i know we can". Rachel laugh while looking at quinn
Larry looks at his son and asked. "do they have any thought on what their gonna do i they lose". Will smile faded. "what?". The glee club looked at each other before looking at their teacher. Larry says "you said it yourself, they don't win sectionals the glee club won't be around next semester. I was hoping you got them to see other clubs for them to join if the-". Will says "look i understand what your saying, dad, but did you not here those kids?".
Larry: Will, you know better than anyone that dreams don't usually come true
Will slowly looked down as larry and mindy walked headed toward the exit doors. Will looks at the group and says. "Guy's, why don't you all go home. No more practice today". Will walked out of the auditorium as the glee club looked at each other
Hallway:
The group walked out of the auditorium. Rachel continued messaging her neck while kurt, santana, and quinn were walking beside her. "do you think my voice is scratchy?". Kurt says "no. Even after being strangled, your voice is better than mine". Rachel smiled before saying. "i hope so. Sectional is almost here". Kurt looks down before saying. "what Mr. Schue parents said, made me nervous. If we lose, i'll just be a punching bag in the halls". Santana shook her head. "nah, don't worry, with our star back, we'll be alright".
Quinn looks down with a nervous expression. Kurt slowly nodded. "yeah, you right. Gotta have faith". Rachel continued to message her neck before saying. "uhh, i'll see you guys later". Rachel walked away while santana sigh. "i can't believe she made a comment on berry voice. It's perfect to me". Quinn smiled. "aww, look at you being soft". Santana elbow quinn in the stomach. "don't mention it. Berry nervous as it is, we don't need an old woman that her voice is not great". Quinn says. "everyone is a bit nervous for sectionals". Santana says "i know. Even me, but we shouldn't listen to those people because we need to believe in ourselves. Their not in glee. We are". She said with a smile on her face

Fabray house:
Quinn walked up toward her front door while singing a beat. She opened the door and walked into her house, and used her foot to closed the door. Quinn set her bag down by the coat rack. She walked in the kitchen, not noticing her parents sitting by the dining table. She opened up the fridge and grabbed a water bottle. Judy says "quinn". Quinn jumped before looking at her parents. "oh, hi mom, dad. I thought you were working late in the firm". She said while closing the fridge
Russell: well something more important happened. We looked through your practice exams
Quinn slowly looked at her water bottle with a nervous expression. "and we were a little surprised with the latest results. Your score went from a 79 to a 63. You dropped 16 points down. We never seen you dropped this low before".
Quinn sigh. "it's just one fail exam. What's the big deal". Judy says "quinn, how are you gonna get to yale with these kind of grades. Have you been studying". Quinn put her bottle on the island. "yes, mom. i have, you know i study every day after school and on the weekends".
Russell: we're just worried your slacking off
Quinn shook her head with frustration. "i'm not, dad. I barely hang out with my friends sometimes for these stupid practice bar exams". Russel stood up and says "stupid. Those stupid exams made me and your mother what we are today. How we got this house, and your gonna throw that all away, for what?". Quinn grabbed her bottle before running out of the kitchen. Russell sigh as he rubbed his hair with frustration. Judy says "i don't know what has gotten into her". Russell shook his head. "i don't know either. We've been helping her reach her goal and now she's acting like she doesn't want it"
Judy: first she dumps that perfect boy, finn hudson, and then she quits the cheerleading squad, and no she's not even trying when she's working on these practice exams we made for her
Russell points at his wife. "i think i know what's going on. It's that glee club. Their distracting her". Judy nodded. "yeah, that could be it. But what should we do?". Russell slowly says. "i think i know what we can do".
The next day:
At Mckinley High. Will was sitting across from emma, in the teacher lounge, with a mug in his hands. "even if i'm not in glee. They still tell me to look at other option".
Emma says. "their just looking after you". Will nodded. "i know, but could it hurt them to just be a little supportive for the kids. They have been working so hard to get to sectionals. My mom made a comment on rachel with the bruises on her neck. She said that her voice is scratchy". Emma made a surprised expression. "wow. That is. Well. It's". Sue walked by and says "a total confidents breaker. I did some of those to my cheerios. A little reverse psychology. Well it didn't work out with dana, she quit. But hey, begger can't be choser. What's this about?".
Will: my parents. They don't believe that New Direction can win sectionals
Sue: beats my parents still. They were away alot and me and my sister barely ate. I was a chicken bone
Will looks at emma with confusion. "what?". Sue nodded. "yup. That was my childhood". Will says "well thank you for that. Unusual story, but i'm trying to figure out a way to show my parents those kids have what it takes. My parents wanna see how i teach them, and i know their gonna bring down their confidents".
Sue: So what? i do the same to my cheerios. I told one yesterday that she is so bad that she's off the team
Will looks at emma with a confused expression. "what are you trying to say? i though you were done trying to break the glee club spirits". Sue nods at Will. "and that is right. I am all board with helping your club. I was just saying destroying their confidence really improves their skills. When i threaten to kick one of my cheerios off of the team, they work harder that day, everyday, and she became one of my best cheerios. I did the same to brittany three times. I did feel guilty that she went on that air diet. The point i'm trying to make is that i never meant to throw her out, but when i told her she will. She improved". Sue walked away out of the lounge. Emma says. "she's a little nicer now, but i still can't believe she's allowed to teach here".
Will tapped his mugs before saying. "actually. She may have a point. Maybe my parents think their not trying enough". Emma says "Will. Why do you care what your parents think so much?". Will says. "they never supported me when i wanted to go into show business, but these kids have a future and i want them to see that dreams can come true if you supported them enough".
Emma: you don't really need your parents support
Will nodded. "i know, but it would've helped me back when i was a teenager". He said before looking down
Fabray house:
Quinn walked through her front door and set her bag down before noticing her parents in the dining room, talking to a couple of people, all wearing black tie. Judy notice quinn, and walked up to her. "there you are, where have you been, and why are you wearing that uniform". Quinn stares at her mom before saying. "i am in the basketball team, this is what i have to wear during practice". Judy lean over and sniff quinn. "oh you smell".
Quinn says. "yeah, that happens when i work-out. Ever thought of trying that?". Judy took a deep breath before saying. "i don't care for that smart talk. We have an evening event with a bunch of clients from your father firm. I have a dress already picked out for you".
Quinn: mom, i'm tired already, can i just stay in my room
Judy: Quinn, me and your father been telling these people about you studying for law school at such an early age. We need you to mingle
Quinn sigh before saying. "fine. I'll take a shower. But remember to tell them about my grades dropping from a 92 to a 89". Quinn was about to walk upstairs, but judy started talking, making quinn turn around to look at her. "quinn, me and your father been talking about that actually. We think your grades are starting to fall is because you don't know what your heading for. So next week, were taking a trip to some law schools to show you where you can go".
Quinn: uhh, mom, i'm a sophomore
Judy: and you starting early will really impressed the deans. We're gonna have a tour to yale, harvard, florida state
Quinn interrupts her mother. "mom, that's alot a schools". Judy nodded. "yeah, i know. We're gonna be gone for a month". Quinn makes a shock expression. "what! mom sectionals for glee is coming up". Judy giggled while shaking her head. "i am sick and tired of this glee nonsense, do you really think you'll be a lawyer by singing". Quinn stay silent while staring at her mother. Judy walked up and put her hands on quinn shoulder. "you put to much on this to just back out. Now, go upstairs and get ready. And fix your hair, it looks dirty". Judy walked back into the dining room while quinn groaned before walking upstairs
Now at Mckinley high, Will walked into the music room, seeing the glee club sitting on the bleacher's. Will clapped his hands, gaining the team attention. "ok, guys. I have an announcement to make. I gotta say, i'm disappointed". The glee club makes a confused expression. "Look, without your knowledge, i planted mic's around the stage in the auditorium, and the results were alarming. Some of you were slacking off".
Artie: you kidding, right?
Rachel: is it my voice?
Kurt: we've been rehearsing for sectionals non-stop
Will says. "i am not naming name's. If you guys continue to do this, we can't win sectionals. More importantly. You won't be in this room next school year. I might as well just tell figgins. New Direction is shut down". The glee club started talking all at one, except quinn, who slowly looked down with a sad expression. "but i am gonna give you a chance to prove yourselve's you are capable". Will walked up toward the whiteboard, grabbed a marker and removed the cap, and wrote a word on the board. "Mash-up". And drew a line under it. "does anyone know's what a mash-up is?".
Brittany held her hand up. "it's a sex act". Puck and santana laughed as Will himself chuckled and shook his head before saying. "uhh, close". Kurt sarcastically says "was it?". Will continues talking. "a mash-up is a new song created by combining elements from two or more songs. For example, halo and walking on sunshine. That'll work perfectly. You have to prove yourself by performing a mashup on friday. And to make sure me as a teacher would not be an influence, i got some judges to see how you do. They decide if your mash-up performance is better than your last performance".
Puck: who's gonna judge
Will: My parent's, they will be judging
Santana scoff. "the same people who made a comment on berry voice". Will says "i think they will give their honest opinion without judging anyone. Don't let me down". Will walked away while the glee club looked at each other
Later, the group walked out of the music room. Quinn, santana, and brittany were walking together. Brittany says "who do you think been slacking off? i bet it's artie". Santana shook her head. "no, i hate to admit it, but he sings well. Maybe it's mike, i barely heard him sing since he joined. What do you think, quinn?". Quinn continued looking down until santana nudge quinn by using her elbow. "you, fabray". Quinn look up at santana. "what's with you?".
Quinn: uhh, it's nothing. Look, i gotta go
Quinn walked away from the two, making santana and brittany look confused. "what's with her?". Brittany shrugged
Quinn walked through the front door and headed toward her car. She opened the driver door and climb in the driver seat. Quinn took a deep breath while looking at the steering wheel beforr taking out her phone and dial a number. She waited for a couple of minutes until she heard her mother voice. "quinn, sweetie, is everything ok?". Quinn nodded. "yeah, mom, uhh. Let's do it. Let's go check out yale"
Shelby House:
Rachel was sitting in the living room, sitting in the center of a blue couch, while looking through some lyrics that were scattered around a glass table. Shelby walked up and lean over the couch. "woah, nobody in Vocal adrenaline were prepared like you are". Rachel smiled before saying. "sorry, i'll get this clean up before i go to bed".
Shelby: what is this anyway, setlist for sectionals?
Rachel shook her head. "no, Mr. Schue is working on that. We have this assignment, we have to perform a mashup song". Shelby says "mash-up, those are fun".
Rachel: not really. Mr. Schuester parents are gonna judge us and i am a little nervous
Shelby makes a confused expression before walking around the couch and sat down beside rachel. "it's just a performance with no trophy". Rachel says "i know, but i wish he could"ve picked someone more positive... Is my voice scratchy". Shelby shook her head before putting her hand by rachel throat and message where the bruises are. "no. Your voice still lights up a room to me".
Rachel: really?
Shelby nodded. "who would give you that idea?". Rachel stares at shelby for a couple of seconds
Now in the kitchen, Shelby was dialing a number on her phone and put it by her ear. She waited for a few seconds until the other end was picked up. "hey, shelby". Will voice was heard. "is everything alright". Shelby says "what gives your parents the right to make fun of my daughter voice". Will sigh before saying. "my mom just said her voice seem off. It was just that".

Shelby rubbed her eyes with frustration. "you heard what they said to rachel and those other kids, and your encouraging it". Will says "you told me to invite them to see the glee performing". Shelby says "to get through your past issue's. You have inresolved issues that you need to talk about. You told me how much they never supported you. How is what your doing different". Will slowly looked down. "i want this to work, Will. But if you continue doing this to my daughter, don't you think i can't pick my daughter over my love life". Shelby hung up, making Will dropped his arm and rubbed his eyes with frustration
Mckinley high:
In the music room, rachel was handing out a copy sheet to each member. "Ok, it took me all night, but i think i picked a good mashup". Brittany looks at the title and says "singin' in the rain? i never heard of this song".
Kurt looks at brittany and says "the song is from a 1952 movie titled singing in the rain". Rachel says "it's a classic song based from a popular musical. I would know, i watch the movie". The group gave rachel a confused expression. "i like old musicals, don't judge me". Rachel stares at the group and pointed at each one. "wait, where's quinn?". Santana says "i don't know, she was with us during basketball practice". Rachel says "we can't rehearse without all of our team here, we do it as a team, or no at all". Mercedes says "well maybe if one of us wouldn't be slacking off, we wouldn't be doing this".
Artie: settle down, mercedes
Mercedes shook her head. "no, if we don't win, it's over. Maybe it's you who's holding you back". Artie shook his head. "no, it can't be". Rory says "i bet it's mike. He hasn't sing since he joined". Mike walked up toward rory and says "i am not a singer, i'm a dancer. What about you and that heavy accent". Rachel yelled out. "ENOUGH!!". The group looks at rachel, who shook her head before walking out of the room. Santana put her sheet down ontop of the piano before following rachel. Mike sigh before looking at rory. "sorry, man". Rory shrugged. "it's all good".
Kurt: everyone is just tense. Especially quinn
Puck started hearing some ball dribbling through the vent, making him look confused before walking out of the music room, and started walking through the hallway, and walked past a girls bathroom, where inside, rachel was hiding in one of the stalls while santana stood infront of the door. "berry, look i know your in there". Santana look down, seeing rachel feet. "i literally see your feet". Rachel slowly lifted her feet up, making santana chuckled. "what's going on with you, berry? you can tell me". Rachel slowly says "why did i think i can do this right away when i was discharged from the hospital". Santana lean on the stall door. "what are you talking about?".
Rachel: jesse ruined our chances at sectionals. Not only did he stole the setlist, but he also broke my voice
Santana shook her head. "berry, your voice is perfect". Rachel says "ofcourse you say that. Your my friend, but Mr schuester mo-". Santana says "don't pay any attention to her, look, you can"t act like everything gonna be the same after. You know, but you can't let a comment affect you. She's wrong to me". Rachel whispers. "your just saying that". Santana shook her head. "no i'm not. Everything about you is perfect. Even after what happened to you, you had a smile in your face, and help the glee club. We can't do this without you. I already told you, your the heart and soul. We need you". The stall door slowly opened up, and rachel looked through the crack, revealing tear stains on her cheek. "do you really mean that?". Santana nodded. "yeah. Don't worry about Mr. Schue parents. And don't quit, you do and i'll go lima high on your ass".
Rachel laugh while looking at santana, before giving her a hug. "thanks, santana". Santana returned the hug. The two pulled away and stare at each other for a minute until rachel started to lean forward, but santana held her shoulder, pushing it back, making rachel look confused. "berry, as much i want this to happened, your still recovering, and i don't wanna push you".

Santana: you got beaten up by your scumbag of a boyfriend. I want you to heal first, both physically or mentally. I want you to be better, ok?
Rachel, with a touch expression, slowly nodded. "yeah, ok" Santana says. "we should get back to rehearsal". She paused for a minute before leaning down and gave rachel a kiss on her cheek, making her blush before following santana out of the bathroom
In the school gym, puck walked in the gym, seeing quinn dribbling a basketball before throwing the ball threw the hoop. "santana said practice is over" he said, making quinn turn her head to see puck. "what are you doing here?".
Puck: glee started and i was wondering where you were
Quinn sigh as she walked up and grabbed the ball before walking backward whil dribbling the ball. "that's still going on". Puck says "yeah, we have to perform a mashup friday. Your just gonna quit". Quinn held the ball under her arm before saying. "from what i heard, glee already done".
Puck scoff before saying. "i thought you love that club. And your not gonna do anything to help it". Quinn says "dreams die, puck. I appreciate what you've been doing for me, but turns out, it was a waste of time". Puck stares at quinn before saying. "what did your parents do this time?". Quinn looks down before saying. "since i joined glee, my grades been slipping, and they want me to take a trip to check out colleges".
Puck: colleges? we're sophomore
Quinn: they said starting early equal's success. Anyway, it'll take a bit, and they made it so i will miss sectionals
Puck: quinn, you gotta stand up to your parent's

Puck shook his head. "their trying to control your life. For once, do something that'll make you happy". Puck walked away as quinn looks down and she dropped her ball, and let it bounced away
Later, outside of the school, rachel removed her bike from the bike rack until she notice puck, loading up his truck. She pulled her bike out and walked up toward puck. "hey, puck, what happened to you during rehearsal?". Puck turned around when he closed the back door of his truck. "i found quinn". Rachel makes a shock expression. "oh, she was here. Where was she then?"
Puck: quinn has given up on glee
Rachel shook her head. "we can't let that happened, quinn loves glee and we're gonna win sectionals. Being in the club makes her happy". Puck nodded "and i can tell she doesn't wanna do this, but what are we gonna do". Rachel smiled before saying. "we remind her what she's leaving"
Fabray house:
In quinn, bedroom, she was folding a couple of clothes before setting them in an open traveling bag. After packing some clothes, she stood up and walked up toward nightstand and grabbed the framed photo of her deceased sister. Quinn sat back down on her bed while looking at the photo. "well, frannie, what would you do?". She asked while brushing her thumb on the photo. She then started hearing music from outside her window, and she stood up and walked up toward her window and opened her window up, seeing rachel standing in the middle of her front lawn. Rachel look up and notice quinn. "quinn, we got something to say. You can't quit glee, not cause it needs you, but you need it. Santana told me how you were before i came here, and i can tell. You were much happier with glee. And we picked out a song to help you understand that".
Rachel turn her head and nodded, and then puck walked up toward the house, with his guitar and slowly started to play it. Rachel nodded from the beat before looking back up to quinn and started singing

All of a sudden, a police car pulled up near the driveway, and the two officers climbed out of their squad car and walked up toward the two, making quinn look confused. One officer shined a flashlight at both puck and rachel. "can you tell us what you are doing here? do either of you live in this house?".
Judy and russell walked out of their front door, making quinn groaned. "oh no" she said before walking away from her window and ran out of her room
Russell pointed at the two. "these two are disturbing our neighborhood". Judy says. "and this boy Is. Hold on. Was our pool cleaner, he's stalking our daughter". Puck says "what, no. Quinn is a friend, and we're trying to make her understand".
Russell cut him off by saying. "we don"t care what you mean't. They're disturbing us". Quinn ran outside while putting on a robe. "Wait! stop!". Russell grabbed quinn. "honey, get back in the house". The two officers guided rachel to the squad car. "i'm afraid we're gonna have to take you to the station from questioning". The other officer pulled puck toward the car. "Quinn, don't do this. Think about how it's effecting us. Are you gonna let rachel down after what she's been through". Quinn looks at her dad and says "dad, please don't do this". Russell push quinn away before saying. "puckerman, we don't want you anywhere near our house again".
Puck yelled out. "fine! i got 34 other clients that need a pool cleaning. The lopez's for example". Puck was pushed down into the back of the police car, and the cops climb into the front of the car and drove away. Quinn, with anger, yelled out. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT!". Before running in the house. Judy and russell shook their heads before walking toward the house
In a police station, gina and shelby were standing by a bench. Gina was tapping her finger on the bench with a nervous expression. Shelby says. "so your puckerman mother". Gina nodded. "yeah, i don't know why i'm nervous. This isn't the first time i had to bail noah out of prison". Shelby laugh. "i just got my daughter back into my life, and i got a call saying she was arrested. I didn't expect that". Gina laugh. "if we're just picking them up, it's not a big deal"
Shelby: where's his father, shouldn't he be here?
Gina looks down. "that's a long story. Rachel dad?". Shelby says. "also a long story and a lot more complicated". Gina laugh and says "i bet my story beats yours". Shelby shook her head. "not a chance". The station door opened up, revealing Will. He walked up and says. "hey, i just got your message, what happened?"
Shelby: I don't know. I got a call at home saying rachel is in holding
Gina: the police told us to pick them up so it wasn't a big deal, i'm hoping
Will pointed behind the two single mother's, making them turned around to see an officer guiding rachel and puck toward them. "which one belongs to who?". Gina grabbed puck arm and pulled him toward her while rachel walked up and gave her mom a hug. Gina asked puck. "Noah, you got five minutes to explain why i got a call from work, saying my son is in holding, again".
Puck: mom, i swear, it had nothing to do with pranks
Rachel: it was quinn parents. We were trying to get quinn to join glee again. And her parents called the cops for stalking
Gina: Quinn, that sweet girl. She threw you guys in jail for talking?
Puck shook his head. "no. She didn't. Her parents did". One officer walked up with a guitar, and hands it to puck. "don"t forget this". Puck grabbed the guitar from the cop before he walks away. "we were singing to her to get her to change her mind".
Will: wait. Why did quinn quit in the first place?
Rachel: because after you told us we were slacking. She lost hope for winning sectionals
Shelby shot a glare at Will, who look down. "guys. I gotta tell you something". Puck and rachel looks at Will. "the slacking, holding everyone back. Wasn't true". He said, making rachel and puck look confusef
Will: i listen to sue and you guys that, hoping it'll get you to work harder, but i didn't expect this to happened
Rachel, with a shock expression, says. "what?!". Will nodded with a guilty expression. "i'm sorry". Puck shook his head. "uhh. It's fine i guess". Rachel slowly nodded. "y-yeah. You were doing it for the glee club. We can't be mad at you. But we need quinn"

Gina says. "well. Now all this is cleared up, i'll bring my son home. I left your sister home alone, so we better hurry". Gina looks at shelby. "nice to meet you". Shelby nodded. "you too". Gina and puck walked out of the police station. Will looks at shelby and says. "i'm sorry about the way i've been acting"
Shelby: what was all this about. Winning sectionals. Or to get your parents approval?
Will looks down until rachel spoke. "Mr. Schuester. You can't go through life to get your parents to approve on what your doing. Take me for example. My adopted parents never supported my singing voice, they make me be silent when guest are in the house". Shelby stares at rachel while rubbing her shoulder. "but look at me. Because their gone, im persuading what i love, and i'm happy". Shelby smiled before kissing her daughter head
Will slowly nodded. "why don't i take you two home". Will guided the girls out of the station and headed toward his car. Rachel climbed in the back of the car. Will opened the passenger door for shelby before climbing in the driver seat, and drove out of the parking lot and drove for a bit until he parked into shelby driveway. Rachel climb out of the car and walked up toward the front door. Shelby turn her head to look at Will, and says. "so what now?"
Will took a deep breath before saying. "i don't know". Shelby says. "you'll figure it out". Before giving Will a kiss on the cheek. "do you wanna stay for the night here?". Will slowly shook his head. "uhh, i don't think it's a good idea". Shelby nodded. "ok, i'll call you soon". Shelby opened the passenger door and climbed out before walking toward the house. Will smiled at shelby before putting his car on drive, and drove away
The next day:
At Mckinley High, Puck was standing in the middle of the hallway, taking out a couple of books from his locker until he heard his name. "Puck!". Quinn ran up toward puck, with her gym bag hanging around her left shoulder. "i've been looking for you all day. I am so sorry what my parents did". Puck chuckled before saying. "it's fine. Me and rach are fine. We weren't charged, so that's a good thing". Quinn sigh with relief

Puck: uhh, yes it is. All you have to do is stand up to your parents for once. I can tell you don't wanna go to these college tours
Quinn looks down. Puck says "i know you don't wanna disappoint your parents. But, they deserve it". Quinn giggled as puck closed his locker. "What me and rachel were saying last night. Do something you love. Not for your parents". Puck walks away as quinn continued looking down
Auditorium:
Will walked up toward his desk, where his parents were sitting by. "ok, you ready to judge?". Mindy nodded. "this is kinda cool". Larry looks at the sheet and says. "i have never heard of a mashup".
Will: your gonna love it, dad
The auditorium door opened up, and Will look up to see shelby walking down the stairs. He walked up and says. "hey, what are you doing here?".
Shelby: i just wanna make sure my daughter isn't getting her confidence broke down
Will slowly nodded before guiding shelby toward the desk, and she sat down beside mindy
In the back stage of the auditorium. Rachel was handing each member an umbrella. Finn says "i still don't understand why we need umbrella". Kurt was twirling his umbrella before saying. "it's props for our performance".
Brittany opened up her umbrella and says. "is it gonna rain inside?". Rory laugh as he closed the umbrella for brittany. Rachel handed an umbrella to santana until she notice quinn slowly walking up. "hey". The glee club turn to look at quinn. Mercedes sarcastically says. "i thought you quit". Quinn sigh. "ok, i deserve that. Look, sectionals is coming up. And all this talk about us slacking off, and the club closing down. I lost my confidence, but. If it does close down, i wanna be in it till the end. If you let me"
Rachel: what about your parents
Quinn looks down before saying. "their gonna be disappointed, but it's not about them. It's about me". Puck nodded at quinn
Rachel smiled before throwing an umbrella to quinn, who caught the umbrella, making her smile
Will started talking through his microphone. "New Direction on stage. We're about to begin".
A few minutes later, the glee club walked up on the stage and stood together. The group started tapping their umbrella to the ground in a rhythm

The group threw their umbrellas in the air, making the Schuester's and shelby start clapping. "bravo, guys!". Will turn his head to his parents and says. "so, what do you think. Did they did better here or last week?".
Mindy sigh. "oh, boy. This is tough". Larry says "they were great this time". Will smiled as he turned his head toward, shelby, who also has a smile on her face. "are they gonna use props for the competition?" larry asked, making Will smile faded into a frown. "No, using props during sectionals counts for disqualification"
Larry: well. Then what's the point in using props if your not gonna use them
The glee club looks at each other with a nervous and confused expression. "and if your not gonna use this song, your just wasting this time to practice". Will pointed at the glee club. "they just put on a show on how well their doing and that's all you can say?". Larry with a confused expression, says. "wha-". Will doesn't let him finish by standing up and walked out of the auditorium. Mindy asked. "what's wrong with him?". Shelby shoots a glare at the two before saying. "you know, a guy like your son, helping kids to persuade something they love, was raised by you. How is he your son?". She stood up and walked away
Now in the music room, will was sitting on the bleachers, watching footage of himelf and the 1992 glee club in nationals, using a projector that's shooting the video footage on the whiteboard. A teenage Will twirled kendra around before dipping her, making Will smile until the door opened up, revealing larry. He closed the door before saying. "William. This is the glee room?". Will slowly nodded. "When we lose sectionals, it's not gonna be called that anymore". Larry turn his head and notice the video. "I remember that day. You won, right?". Will nodded. "yup. It was me and... Kendra last performance". Larry made a sad smile. "i miss her too, she had a nice voice"
Will: don't try to be supportive. You made it clear in the auditorium
Larry turns back to Will before saying. "what's going on with you?". Will shook his head before grabbing the remote and turned the projector off. "dad, do you remember that i always wanted to be in broadway?". Larry nodded. "yeah. Except that summer when you wanted to be batman". He chuckled while looking at Will. "so you did know". Will stood up and walked by the projector. "will, what are you trying to say?".
Will: if you knew i wanted to be an actor, why didn't you support me

Will shook his head. "not really. Acting is all i dreamed of. But did you help me rehearse some lines? no. You were busy at sale trips. Did you sent me to a dramatic arts college that i dreamed of going? no. You helped me sign up to a different college that had only a singing club". Larry stares at Will. "instead of helping me persuade my dream. You told me to settle. And i did. But i always wonder what my life would be if i follow my heart. And no i'm helping those kids that joined glee. This club is the reason why i wanted to be an actor. And, i see potential in those kids. Something they can do that i never did. All they need is a push, not telling them to settle... God, shelby was right. Why am i trying to show the potential in those kids. You never did with me"
Will picked up the projector and walked up toward his office, but stopped when his dad starts talking. "i wanted to be a lawyer". Will slowly turned around to look at his dad. "what?". Larry nodded. "yeah. I wanted to be a lawyer. Go to law school". Will gently set the projector down on the piano. "but my dad didn't had enough money. I couldn't get a scholarship. So i started working at this company, hoping to earn enough money for law school. But my car broken down. You grandfather got really sick. And then one day, i started thinking. I am never going to law school. I stayed at the company as a sales rep"
Will stares at larry with a shock expression. "i gotten sad because i never persuade my dream. But then your mom came to the picture as the most beautiful woman in the mail room. And that love brought you in my life. So i thought if you never went for your dream career, you wouldn't be disappointed either". Will finally starts talking. "so that's why you never helped me". Larry nodded. "i am sorry, Will. I had no idea what you were going through. Obviously you've been holding in some anger".
Will: why didn't you tell me any of this, though. I don't get that
Larry: look i know being a lawyer was my dream, but if i didn't settled, i wouldn"t met your mom. And i wouldn"t have you. You is what made it worth it
Will smiled before walking up and gave his dad a hug. Larry rubbed his back before pulling away. "so. This mash-up was for my approval?". Will nodded. "yeah. I guess i had some issues in my head". Larry laugh with Will for a moment before saying. "you know. Maybe i wasn't the best father. But, i those kids got something. And you can win sectionals". Will smiled. "thanks, dad. That's all i asked". Outside of the music room, shebly, rachel, and mindy were smiling at the doorframe before walking away
Will: I gotta say, though, i'm nervous. Those kids can win, but i am scared
Larry: i was scared myself when i wanted to go to law school. But... All you can do is tell them they can do it. They put the work, and they have the talen. Like i said, all you really can do is tell them. Good luck

In the music room, Will was standing infront of the glee club. "i really am sorry, guys. I put my issues first before this club. But, i am not that sorry. You all have to handle criticism if your gonna go through this journey. Karofksy, azimio, rick, and sue. And everytime they criticize your talent, you become better. If you put that much effort in sectionals, their is no way we can lose
The glee club started cheering at each other. "First we win sectionals. And the next school year we'll get ready for regionals and nationals, and we will show people what we're capable of. So these next couple of weeks. We need to practice. Everyday to get that happening. You all ready". The glee club nodded. "YES!!!". Will smiled. "good. Let's get started"
Now in the auditorium. The glee club were sitting around the stage. Rachel walked by santan and mercedes as she started singing

The music faded away, and the glee club started clapping together while smiling. Back toward mindy and larry, the two remained standing while holding each other
