Chapter 10: Control

Andrea's POV

The Governor had built a strong community; I couldn't deny that. I walked over to the main area that I had set up for food preparation.

Amy was already there with Martinez helping her. The Governor wasn't lying; Martinez clearly wants her.

His eyes are on her every move, and to my surprise, she seems to be enjoying his attention.

"Hey, Andrea, I'm so glad you made it," Amy smiles as I walk in. She looks so relaxed in a pair of black jeans with an oversized graphic tee that says Eagles. I had given up Shane for her, so seeing her flirt with Martinez frustrated me.

I will leave you two ladies alone," Martinez said, leaving us.

"Did you like Martinez, Amy?" I asked calmly.

He is very good looking. But Shane and I are pretty much already married. I won't leave him, especially now," she says as she prepares lunch for the school-age children. She is cutting potatoes to make french fries.

I start helping her, taking Martinez's place.

"Whats going on, Amy?" I said, looking into her blue-green eyes. My sister isn't one to just stay with someone.

"Shane and I are having a baby. I'm pregnant. It's been about three months. Dr. Stevens confirmed it yesterday," she says with a mixed tone.

"Congratulations, I am very happy for you," I said as we moved on to cooking the chicken.

"I am happy for you. I heard the Governor has chosen his wife. The announcement was made this morning," Amy said, looking at me.

"He has known for a while. He was just waiting on me to accept his proposal," I said.

"I am glad you have someone to help protect you. He really loves you and Avery," Amy smiles.

I want to tell her the truth, but shes pregnant. Staying in Woodbury would be the safest place to have a baby. The Governor walks in just as we finish eating our food.

"Time to go home, Andrea," he says.

"Congratulations Governor. I know my sister will make you happy," Amy says giving him the sweetest smile.

"Thank you. I have been in love with her since the first time we met," The Governor says, smiling at my sister.

"That is so romantic," Amy says giving the Governor a hug.

I hug Amy goodbye and then go with the Governor and our daughter back to his apartment. I put Avery down for a nap in her new room that has a lot of pink inside. He has clearly been planning on us moving for a few days now, if not longer. The Governor's eyes watch my every move. Once Avery is asleep, he comes up behind me.

"Daddy's home," he whispered, his lips immediately kissing my neck. I knew what he wanted and didn't want to. Moving me out of my apartment and forcing me to wear a wedding ring should be enough for one day.

But for the Governor, nothing is ever enough, and I am constantly tested. I hear his belt drop to the floor, so I know that means he wants to make love now. I want to scream, beg him to wait until tonight, or just say no. But he has trained me hard over the past few days, so I know it's no use. It's easier just to submit to whatever he wants.

Still, it's so hard to have someone control you both mentally and physically.

"Could I take a bath first? After all that walking, I feel sweaty. It's been an awfully warm October," I said, hoping to give myself just a few minutes to mentally prepare.

"Baby, when are you going to learn to do whatever, whenever I say? I've been trying to be nice, but you really push me. Just think of it like when we work together. I am your boss. You have to do what I say when I say. The sooner you learn that, the better off you'll be," he says, taking off his pants.

"Ill get undress and go lie down on the bed," I said giving up.

"See, that's a much better response. In two days, we will be married. I need you to understand: I don't care if you love me. But I want you to obey me. Understand?"

"Okay," I replied, undressing and walking into the bedroom. I close my eyes, hoping to wake up somewhere else.
