This fic is going to be part of a series, it is placed later in my Ben 10 x DC universe but for the basics you need to know: Ben has joined the Justice League recently, this is set after Omniverse, Ben's civilian identity was NOT revealed to the world. Aliens and plumbers still know who he is but his identity is not common knowledge to most on earth, Ben is also about 17.
This fic is basically inspired by the fact that Ben literally has fourteen children as Big Chill and they are NEVER mentioned again. And I want some baby Necrofiggian chaos!
Flash was getting done with it. He had been fighting Captain Cold for almost half an hour, and he was getting really, really bored. For some reason, his ice ray was much more powerful than normal. Ice blasts ranged farther and farther than normal. He made some quip about buying a new canister for his tech or something in some illegal black market mumbo jumbo, but honestly, Flash was just too distracted to listen.
Flash rolled his eyes as he zipped out of the way once again. "Come on, man, can we speed this along?" Another blast was aimed at his feet, and he dodged it, appearing behind the man and looking at the back of his wrist as if there was a watch there and tapping his foot impatiently. "I was going to watch a movie tonight. How about you turn yourself in now and save us both the trouble."
Captain Cold grit his teeth and shot again. "Perish, speedster!" He yelled. The blast of ice nicked the outer corner of Flash's thigh, but he managed to speed around it and punch the captain in the face hard enough to throw his goggles off into the air.
Flash put his hands on his hips standing over the now mostly unconscious assailant. "I believe the term used here would be, 'freeze'." He smirked to himself. He then looked up and started glancing around. No civilians to be seen. At least they had the common sense to stay out of the cold.
Soon enough the cops would come to pick up good old Leonard. Flash bent down and placed some automatic JLA-approved cuffs on him while he was still quite dazed and turned around. He was getting more and more bored by the second.
Just as he was about to dash away, something caught his eye. Flash turned back on his heel, bent down next to the villain, and raised an eyebrow at the glowing blue pack attached to his back. It was about the size of a large heavy-duty camping backpack; definitely new tech.
But that was not the thing that caught the speedster's eye. No... it was the fact that he could see something moving in there. The inside was mostly fogged over with frost — you would assume it was full of liquid nitrogen or something, yet whatever was in there was definitely moving quite frantically.
Flash quickly bent down, unclasped the pack off of the Captain's back, and picked it up fully. It was much lighter than he was expecting, actually. As he moved it he felt like whatever was inside was fluttering and bumping into the edges of the pack rapidly.
Flash's brow pinched together and he pressed the clasp at the top of the canister to release the pressure. The moment he heard the air hiss out as the pressure released the thing inside stopped fluttering. He could feel the hint of weight leaning to the side closest to him.
Flash managed to open the lid enough to peek inside. Two big, bright green bug eyes looked back at him, on top of its head were two blue, fluffy antennae. Whatever was inside had curled up tightly. Blue fabric, or at least a similar material, was draped and wrapped over its shoulders. It tilted its head to the side questioningly as it stared at Flash.
It made a chirping noise and Flash immediately closed the lid again with his eyes wide. "What the-" he whipped his head back and forth once more to check for more people. He could hear sirens; the police did end up finding their way there after all.
That thing looked like one of those creatures or alien-whatever's that the new recruit, Ben, could turn into with his fancy watch. The Omni-something. He didn't remember. But this basically was a smaller version of that. An adorable, fluffy version of that.
He would have to take it to the Watchtower for Ben to look at. It was much smaller than the one Ben had turned into before, so it must just be either a small one or a baby version. Either of those being used as a cold battery is bad news.
Flash strapped the large pack on his back and glanced back at Leonard, "Stay there, frosty, say hi for me when the cops show up." No response, as per usual. Does no one have respect these days? Flash took off in the direction of the nearest zeta tube teleporter.
–
Flash placed the pack down on a counter in the Watchtower. The trip was smooth sailing. The little guy fluttered around a few times, but other than that, it didn't make much of a fuss. Once they got through the zeta, Flash was terrified that the moth thing didn't make it through from the lack of movement. Luckily, he felt it fluttering around again after about a minute.
Flash stared at the roughly three-foot-tall pack up and down, constantly glancing back at it as he zipped around the kitchen trying to grab some food to put together a sandwich, he needed to regain back the energy he lost while fighting Cold.
The thing kept bumping into the edges as Flash bit into his sandwich. He was starting to feel bad for the little guy still being trapped there. How long had he been in there, being used as a power source, in the first place?
There was another rough bump and the pack almost fell off the counter. Flash caught it quickly enough. Poor guy. Maybe he should let him out and make sure he's okay. Like, what would he do if he was trapped in a small cage like that?
Flash sighed and put down his sandwich and tilted the top of the pack towards him, opening the clasps. Another hissing release of air. Once again, the two glowing green eyes stared back at him. "Hey there, little guy, so… I'm not sure what to do here. I don't know anything about what you are or how you got in here."
The blue moth made a chirping noise and brought his two little hands, which looked a little like claws, onto the lip of the opening. Now if Flash wanted to close it he would have to slam it on his little fingers. "You can come out, just don't break anything… or run away!" He quickly added. "There's a guy who is coming soon to see you. He's quite nice and should know more about you. Technically, we'd arrested him at first, thought he was the villain we were after… it was a whole thing." Flash rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
The moth tilted its head to the other side like it was trying its best to follow along with what Flash was saying. It was honestly really cute. Flash didn't fully know if the moth could actually understand English but it was sure trying.
"But you can come out of there. Do you want food?" The moth paused for a moment before sticking its hands in the air and making a jumping motion. It made a chirp that sounded surprisingly like "up, up." It was so adorable Flash didn't know what to do with it.
He reached down and picked up the little guy from under the arms and put him on the counter. It was very, very light. Like hollow bones or floating kind of light. It was also cold to the touch. Flash set it down on the counter and it sat down with its legs sticking straight out as it stared up at Flash. One of its antennae fell in front of its face. "Oh my gosh, you are the cutest thing in the world." Flash gushed.
The moth was probably about two feet tall, give or take, if it was standing up on the counter. "What do you eat?" The moth looked at him strangely with another tilt of its head. Flash picked up the sandwich he was going to eat and showed it to the creature.
The little guy didn't seem to understand, so Flash took another couple of bites out of his sandwich. The moth stared at the speedster a moment more before unfurling his wings that had been draped over his back like a kind of cloak. It used them to flutter over closer to the sink.
Now, looking at the wings, flash could see why it couldn't fly out of the pack and only flap them against the insides. The moth grabbed onto the silver faucet with both small clawed hands. "Oh, do you want water?" Flash reached forward and pulled the handle on the tap and the water spilled out.
Only after a second of looking at it, the moth touched it with its claw and it all turned to solid ice. "I'll take that as a no then?" But then, to the speedster's surprise, the moth started chewing on the metal sink faucet. "Hey hey hey, you can't do that." The little guy looked back at Flash and its antenna drooped.
"No, I didn't… aw man. Okay, wait one second I'll get you a fork or something to chew on. Hopefully, Batsy isn't too mad." Flash turns around to grab a fork from one of the drawers
"Whatcha got there, Flash?" The speedster jumped so high he hit his head on the cabinet door above the counter. He could hear the moth's chirps that sounded surprisingly like laughter.
He turned around to look at the Kryptonian who had just walked into the kitchen with a surprised look on his face. "Hey, Supes. I didn't see you there." The moth looked at Superman and then back at Flash before leaning in and trying to take a bite out of the sink again.
"Hey hey hey, remember, no eating the sink. Here." He handed the moth creature the fork he had grabbed, who immediately started chewing on the prongy end and chirping happily.
Superman stared at the moth for a moment more before glancing up to meet Flash's eyes. "Flash… what is that?" He pointed at the blue creature sitting on the counter.
"It's a kid… I think?" Flash shrugged. "It was being used as a weapon inside Captain Cold's ice pack." He gestured to the pack on the counter. "But it looks like one of Ben's Alien things, right? The blue one that phases through things." The moth looked up and was now staring at the speedster.
"It does look like him, doesn't it? Just a really small version of it. You think it's just a kid?" Superman asked.
The end of the prongs on the fork were now sticking in all directions as it held it in its little claws glancing in between the two adults. "It seems that way. Especially if this is the same species the kid turns into. That's why I brought the little guy here. I thought Ben would be able to help."
Superman nodded. "Well I just saw him a few moments ago going down the hallway he should be-"
"-Hey guys, something's not feeling right today, I don't know what it is but-" The hero in question walked into the kitchen and was dusting off his green jacket. He now stood frozen staring at the moth on the counter.
The moth stuck its hands in the air staring straight at Ben. "Momma!"

This is going to be more of a one-shot in a series. there will be about three-four chapters for this mini-fic. Cute little baby alien fic. It should definitely be finished soon! I am making this part of a series so I can pick and place what scenarios I want so I don't get stuck with writer's block. Love you all! Please tell me what you thought of the chapter and if there are any situations you want to see Ben in, in the DC universe!
