Author's Note: Welcome back to more of "The Fairly Odd Winx Club", the Crossover Alternate Universe between 'The Fairly OddParents' and 'Winx Club', inspired by the crossover fanfics of Epiclot214 and Iron117Prime.
So, here we are, the very chapter of 'Truth, Lies, and Revelations' that FINALLY puts an end to the whole Brandon-Prince Sky switcheroo. You know, how the blonde-haired Brandon is actually Prince Sky, and the brunette/brown-haired Sky is actually Brandon? And that the two switched identities and exchanged roles for security reasons. I know, it's confusing, right?
Took a lot of time to think about it and everything, so I thank you. Only one more chapter to go on 'Truth, Lies, and Revelations', and then you'll finally see how it will all go down in the epic season finale that covers Episodes 119-126.
For those of you who were looking forward to the events of Episodes 114-116, I'm sorry that I skipped them, but I already mentioned/referenced them in this chapter. Nothing personal and everything, but this very chapter is taking place immediately after those three episodes. Plus, I don't see a way for Timmy Turner and his fairies to be involved in them because they're busy getting ready for a little visit to Red Fountain to warn the Specialists about the Dragon Flame inside Bloom, but a few secrets, lies, and hijinks there are about to complicate things a little...
Anyway, that's all I have to say, and I've been doing my best on this chapter, so enjoy it and be ready for the next one very soon. Any and all comments (on the story) are welcome.
It had been a few days for the Winx Club. Bloom's search for answers about her origins and powers recently led her to the Cloud Tower archives with Brandon's help. At first, Bloom believed that she was the incarnation of the three Ancestral Witches, but a student from Cloud Tower named Mirta told her that it was all a lie set up by the Trix. A battle ensued in the forest, and a frustrated Icy turned Mirta into a pumpkin, forcing Bloom to unleash an insane amount of magical energy that sent the Trix sky-high.
The battle was won, but at the cost of Mirta being a pumpkin, she was taken to Alfea by Flora, who would find a way to change her back.
The next day, when Professor Wizgiz teaches the class a lesson in honesty, and the Winx nearly passes, Bloom visits Faragonda's office.
"You wanted to see me?" Bloom asked the headmistress.
"Yes, Bloom," Faragonda answered. "Are you feeling well?"
"Oh, yes, I'm just…a little tired."
"Well, Bloom, you've had such a busy night," Faragonda replied. "But now it's time you learned more about your past. That voice you hear night after night belongs to Daphne, one of the historical nymphs of Magix."
"Daphne," Bloom repeated.
"She was the guardian of the Dragon Flame, the power that gave birth to the Magical Dimension. Legend has it that she lives in the depths of Lake Roccaluce."
Taking Bloom on a remarkable journey of discovering her past, Faragonda casts a spell, and the two are projected into the depths of Lake Roccaluce. Walking down the bottom of the lake, the headmistress took Bloom to a cavern where Daphne dwells.
"It's okay, Bloom. Don't be afraid," Faragonda reassured Bloom just as she walked into the cave ahead of her. But just as Bloom drew closer and closer and the light got brighter and brighter, she could see Daphne holding a jewelry chest that contained a tiara…
SNAP! Bloom blinked, and she was back in Faragonda's office, only to find the headmistress gasped and exhausted.
"Bloom, I think you ought to go lie down and rest for a while," Faragonda said, pulling herself together. "It's been a difficult experience for both of us."
"But…I need to know more…," Bloom replied.
"I understand. But what you're doing may be dangerous. Now that you know a little more about yourself, you'll have to find out the meaning of what you know and saw…all on your own."
Bloom sighed as she left Faragonda's office. "Thanks, Faragonda."
But the next few days later, after passing the quiz and dealing with a nightmare monster made by the Trix with Faragonda's help, was the very day everything was shattered apart by some upsetting discoveries…
That very day was the day of an important exhibition being held at Red Fountain, where Specialists like Sky, Brandon, and their classmates demonstrated the skills they learned in class while proving that they could tame and control dragons. With many people attending the exhibition, everything will run smoothly for the upcoming event, just as Headmaster Saladin complimented.
While some familiar guests like Headmistress Faragonda and Headmistress Griffin had already taken their seats in the arena at Red Fountain, Bloom, Stella, and Flora were in Tecna and Musa's dorm room at Alfea.
"What's up? What did you want to do?" Tecna asked the girls while sitting on the computer.
"Bloom wants to go to the exhibition," Stella replied, sitting on Musa's bed.
"Did she receive an invitation?" Musa asked after playing the flute.
"No!" Flora answered, then smiled because she knew Bloom's real intentions. "Or it wouldn't be a problem, would it?"
Musa turned to Bloom with a question. "Bloom, why?"
"I've got to talk to Brandon!" Bloom said. "He's avoiding me, and I wanna know why!"
"Fess up, you like him!" Stella teased Bloom with a smile.
"No… We're just friends…," Bloom replied, fiddling with her fingers as Stella walked up to her with a smile. "Okay, maybe it's true. Brandon is special to me, but I'm unsure what I mean to him. That's why I need to talk to him today."
"Well, in that case, I see no reason to go so far as breaking the rules to get to him!" Stella said. "You can't let a little detail like an invitation get in the way! We're sneaking in!"
"I guess we're all going!" Flora said as she turned to Bloom. "All right, we'll go to Red Fountain with you."
"Thanks, girls," Bloom smiled.
"Wait!" Stella halted. "We also need to be aware of Pink-hatted Timmy. He can be anywhere, watching over our every move. Plus, I think it'd be a great learning experience."
"Learning experience!?" Musa repeated. "You just want to see your prince. But still…do you think Pink-hatted Timmy had something else on his mind?"
"And that 'something' must be what connects the Dragon Flame to Bloom and why Pink-hatted Timmy is going to Red Fountain, too," Tecna replied. "Come to think of it, we've been running into that boy many times in all kinds of places in Magix."
"And every time he told us what the Trix were up to and did something crazy to help us out," Flora added. "Does he have a magical side that we don't know about? Or he was helping us stay out of trouble?"
"It'd be no problem for Pink-hatted Timmy to have a cage that trapped the troll back at Black Mud Swamp, either…," Musa said. "Not to mention that he somehow got to Cloud Tower and found Stella's ring before we did."
The Winx exchanged glances as Flora pondered, "Then…do you think Pink-hatted Timmy is somehow helping us through all this freaky weirdness he pulls?"
"Maybe we're imagining things," Bloom shrugged.
"This is still only a theory," Tecna replied.
"Who cares?!" Stella cried. "Let's go to Red Fountain and see Sky! Ain't no way Pink-hatted Timmy is gonna be there this time!"
As it turns out, Stella couldn't be more wrong. Timmy Turner, Cosmo, Wanda, and Poof had already snuck into Red Fountain a while later.
"We're in," Timmy Turner said.
"So, this must be the Red Fountain School for Specialists," Wanda replied, amazed. "I hear most people are already in the arena for the school's exhibition."
"Then, that's where we need to go to find Brandon and the other Specialists."
But while the exhibition was in full swing with the Specialists racing, performing stunts, and showing off their skills at the arena, there were so many hallways all over the school to find the arena's entrance.
"Oh man, it'll take forever to find the coliseum," Timmy Turner groaned.
"Well, it's like I always say," Cosmo replied. "If you don't search every hallway or dorm room in the school, you'll never find the entrance to the arena."
"Oddly enough, I sometimes think that you do always say that," Wanda said while Poof nodded in agreement.
Timmy Turner sighed. "Well, come on, we can't give up now! I bet this arena must be much bigger than the Dimmsdale Dimmadome."
As Timmy Turner and his fairies continued onward, they didn't realize that Bloom and the Winx girls were already there.
In another hallway, the other Winx girls were exasperated by Stella's complaining. "I'm tired of waiting! I wanna see Sky! He's so handsome, strong, and smart! His family is gonna be here, you know. They're the richest royals in the whole dimension!"
"I'm still not sure whether your heart beats more for your good-looking prince," Musa replied, irritated. "Or for the cash he's got."
"Well, beauty is wasted if not surrounded by beautiful things!" Stella said as she continued walking down the hallway with the others following her…and laughing.
"Look!" Stella said as she peered through a small opening of the door and gasped in excitement when she saw the exhibition. "Hey, girls! We can see everything from here!"
Just then, Musa shoved Stella out of the way and looked through the opening. "I want to look, too!"
Tecna shoved Musa aside. "Okay, time's up. It's my turn!"
"Hey, my turn now. Move over," Flora said, pushing Tecna aside and looking through the opening. "Check it out. There's Brandon and Riven."
The Winx watched the exhibition in full swing, and the Specialists were about to do their dragon demonstration in front of the VIP crowd with their magic and skills after the Wind Rider event. The dragons paraded around the arena, taking flight with their wings and breathing fire. The crowd roared at such an extraordinary display, as did the cheering Winx girls.
That is until Riven had a little something on his mind.
"I'm taking you down, Brandon," Riven said, taunting. He later commanded his dragon to attack Brandon's dragon. But then, he suddenly dodged out of the way as the boomerang thrown by Brandon was heading straight for him. "No hard feelings about the 'incident' earlier, right?"
"None whatsoever!" Brandon replied.
Suddenly, the unscheduled battle between Riven's dragon and Brandon's dragon ensues as many spectators run from the coliseum.
"Now, that was uncalled for!" Brandon said as he commanded his dragon to defend itself while scolding Riven. "What are you doing, Riven? They're going to get out of control! Rein in your dragon now."
"No way!" Riven refused in anger. "I'm going to kick your dragon's butt, and then I'll kick your butt!"
"Those fools! They pitted the dragons against each other!" Codatora said as the bearded man jumped into the ring. "I'll put an end to this nonsense right now!"
It wasn't easy, but Codatora managed to quell the chaos as he used his whip and yelled at the dragons. "Back! Get back! Back into your pens! Yah! Yah!"
Soon, the dragons stopped fighting, and all four creatures returned to the giant doors as the audience cheered.
Just then, a voice appeared. "Wow! That was one dragon of a fight!"
The Specialists turned to see Timmy Turner in the ring while his fairies stood behind to stay hidden, even though Cosmo was the one who spoke up.
Brandon was surprised. "Pink-hatted Timmy! What are you doing here?! And…how did you get in the arena?"
"Uh…," Timmy Turner was about to answer, but then he gave a questioning glance at his fairies. "How did we, guys?"
Wanda studied the map. "Well, you got me. By all accounts, it doesn't make sense."
Timmy Turner just shrugged. "Oh, well. Back to business."
Riven growled in anger. "This kid is always trying to spoil a bad thing!"
"Oh, you guys are here, too? I took a shortcut."
"Is everything a joke or a game to you, kid?" Riven asked. "Why must you constantly get in our business?"
"Because my business is with blonde Brandon over there," Timmy Turner answered, pointing at Brandon.
"Me?" Brandon asked.
"I came to talk to you. It's about Bloom. She's in real danger than we realized because she's—"
Suddenly, before Timmy Turner can finish his sentence, a rumbling is heard throughout the arena, and the ground in the center of the arena cracks.
"Please tell me that was your stomach," Wanda said to Cosmo uneasily.
"I'm sure it was just thunder," Cosmo laughed but then gulped when another rumble shook. "From…under…ground?"
Just then, the ground exploded, and smoke erupted from the crevice. When the smoke cleared, another unscheduled battle ensued. This time, it was two fairies were in their aerial flight.
Both Timmy Turner and Brandon couldn't believe who it was. "Bloom?!"
Indeed, it was Bloom, and she was in the middle of a fight with a beautiful platinum-blonde girl who turned into a fairy and had some powerful magic at her command.
"Have you had enough?" Bloom said to the platinum-blond fairy. "Stay away from Brandon!"
"Brandon?" The girl asked. "You mean that little squire boy? He's all yours!"
Bloom threw energy blasts at the girl's gems, shattering them one by one. Then, she got in one last blast and hit her target.
"Gotcha!" Bloom shouted as the girl fell to the ground…right next to Timmy Turner, who she saw in surprise. "Pink-hatted Timmy, what are you doing here?"
"What are you doing here?" Timmy Turner asked the same thing to Bloom in confusion. "I thought you and your friends were supposed to be in Alfea."
"I wanted to talk to Brandon face to face," Bloom replied. "And why he didn't pick up my calls earlier."
"Well, hate to be the bearer of funny stories, but they're busy putting on a good show in this exhibition, which nobody told me that there would be dragons in it!"
Timmy Turner turned around to see the platinum-blond girl on the ground. "Who's this girl you've been fighting?"
"I never saw her before," Bloom explained. "I crashed into her, and she dropped something that projected an image of Brandon. I took her to a private place in the basement and attacked her to reveal one of the Trix witches inside her."
"And that's how you interrupted my chance to warn Brandon when the ground went kaboom," Timmy Turner said. "I hate to break it to you, but I don't see the Trix here in this episode."
Bloom was confused. "Wait, what do you mean by that? And warn Brandon about what?"
"I'm saying the Trix were never here, and I was going to warn your Brandon about the Dragon Flame inside you!"
Just then, Brandon ran to the fallen girl. "Diaspro!"
"You know her?" Bloom and Timmy Turner asked Brandon in unison, surprised.
The girl, Diaspro, got up and put her arms around Brandon. "Oh, Sky!"
"Brandon!" Bloom cried, watching this in heartbreak tears.
Now, it was Timmy Turner's turn to demand an explanation. "Okay, what's going on?! I thought the blondie guy here was Brandon, and the brunette guy was Sky."
Diaspro snapped at both Timmy Turner and Bloom. "What are you talking about, you worthless fans? His name isn't Brandon! This is Prince Sky, Prince of Eraklyon, successor to the throne, and my beloved fiancé!"
"Wait, what?!" Timmy Turner cried in disbelief.
"Did she just say 'fiancé'?" Wanda asked in surprise.
Cosmo gasped. "Beyoncé?! Where?"
Timmy Turner couldn't believe what Diaspro was saying as he angrily turned to 'Brandon.' "And you didn't tell us this now?!"
Brandon turned to Bloom, pushing aside Diaspro. "Bloom! Let me explain! I—"
"You don't have to explain anything!" Bloom said as tears filled her eyes. Then, she ran off and was gone.
"Bloom, wait!" Brandon cried, but Timmy Turner stopped him.
Meanwhile, Stella, Musa, Flora, and Tecna continue fighting over who gets to look through the opening to see the exhibition when Stella shouts, "Enough already! I'm watching the show!"
Stella peered through the opening and watched the whole thing unfold – the fight between Bloom and Diaspro, Brandon being called Prince Sky, and even Timmy Turner looking upset.
"What?! Pink-hatted Timmy's here?!" Stella exclaimed as she and the other girls looked.
Timmy Turner continued his gaze and pointed fingers at Brandon, who was really Prince Sky and the brown-haired Sky Stella knew. "Let me get this straight. I thought the blonde guy here was Brandon, the only squire to Prince Sky, who we all thought was the brunette-haired guy over there."
Brandon – or rather, Prince Sky – tried to explain. "I was pretending to be Brandon, but…"
"You're the one who had a fiancé and could have been loaded this whole time?!"
"But it was a matter of security. I just wanted to experience being a normal guy for once!"
"You lied to me!" Timmy Turner said, but then he paused for a moment. "Okay, let me rephrase that – you lied to me, Stella, and Bloom!"
"You don't understand, Pink-hatted Timmy—"
"Understand what?" Timmy Turner angrily interrupted. "That you two have been lying to us the whole time? That Bloom's Dragon Flame powers are not as important as your royalty status as Crown Prince that you've had for how long? Ugh, I should've known something was up! I came all this way just to warn you that the Trix are going after Bloom because she has the Dragon Flame inside her." Then, he pointed at Brandon and Sky accusingly. "But yet, you… You got in her head! You've been playing us for a bunch of saps from the start, just like the Trix! And I thought we were pals!"
And with that, Timmy Turner left the arena to find Bloom without another word.
Stella and the other Winx girls stood in shock.
"Poor Bloom," Flora said sadly.
"He lied to her!" Musa cried.
"So, Brandon is the real Prince Sky…" Tecna said.
Stella looked through the opening again to see the brown-haired Brandon knelt before the angered King Erendor, the King of Eraklyon. "And Sky…is…NOT! AAAAAhhhh!"
And so, the events of the day have taken all the fun out of everyone and taken a vast toll.
Brandon was actually Prince Sky. And Sky was actually Brandon, the squire.
Elsewhere, Timmy Turner searched all over for Bloom but to no avail. Then, his fairies appeared beside him.
"Sorry that the Red Fountain trip was a bust, Timmy," Wanda apologized.
"It's fine, Wanda," Timmy Turner replied. "What a confusing and crazy day."
"Well, I can't help but think about the last time we helped a prince deal with his fiancé," Cosmo said. "And it was with aliens."
"Let's just go home to Earth and do something to put this matter behind us. At least Bloom will come around…eventually."
And with that, Timmy Turner and his fairies poofed back to Earth.
Meanwhile, at Alfea, Bloom held Kiko while looking up at the sky.
"What a fool I was. To think that I could belong in Magix," Bloom said to herself and Kiko, who looked on woefully. "I made a complete fool of myself! I'm never setting foot back here again!"
I think I finally understand what Pink-hatted Timmy was saying before. Bloom thought back to Timmy Turner's words.
"Sometimes you have to hear a lie to see the truth, and finding out the truth doesn't always work out for some people."
And so, Bloom came to a sudden decision – to leave Magix forever. "My mind's made up. There's no other way. There's nothing else I can do."
