Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 92 MILF Safari Part 1
Later that night, somewhere on the channel between Sunny Town and Fuchsia City,
Lincoln and Pikachu were sitting on the Water Taxi, as it was taking them and a few other passengers from Sunny Town to Fuchsia City, "Pretty soon, that sixth badge will be as good as mine!" Lincoln mused, looking on at the next city with great intent.
"You got a strategy against the Poison Types we're going to be facing?" Pikachu asked.
"And how. My main strategy will be to go in with Steel Types, as well as Pokemon that can use either Ground or Psychic Type Moves. I'm thinking Gawain, Metang, and Mawile, for sure. But I'll have Gengar, Spirit and Andrea ready just in case the rules allow for more than three Pokemon," Lincoln replied.
"Sounds like a solid plan to me," Pikachu approved.
"Attention all passengers, we'll be arriving at the Fuchsia City momentarily. Please collect any and all personal belongings before disembarking. Some fun stuff to enjoy during your time here includes the Safari Zone, home to many Pokemon that aren't found easily around Kanto, as well as the Pokemon Preserve, where you can go on an actual safari to observe Pokemon in their natural habitats, the Big P Pokemon Ranch, owned by the renowned Laramie Family. And for those of you who are itching to get into the Pokemon League, then the Fuchsia City Pokemon Gym is the place for you!" the skipper of the Water Taxi said, as the port drew ever nearer.
"Alright, first order of business will be to locate the Pokemon Center for the night. After that, we'll track down and challenge the Fuchsia Gym," Lincoln stated, as the boat pulled up to the dock. The passengers all began to disembark, "Now, where to go to find the Pokemon Center?" he wondered, as he began to wander the streets.
"Shouldn't we call Brock and Misty over first?" Pikachu asked.
"Oh right! That would make things a bit easier," Lincoln replied, as he used his amulet to open a portal to the Cerise Lab, where both Brock and Misty were waiting, along with Bobby, the boys and Sid. They all passed through, "Well, this certainly is a pleasant surprise. You guys here to check out the Safari Zone too?"
"In a way, yeah, we are. The Professor encouraged all of us to come and try to catch some rare Pokemon from the Zone," Clyde replied, sharing a firm handshake with his best friend.
"But we're also here because the girls were acting… very strangely," Bobby replied.
"Strangely in what manner?" Lincoln asked.
"They kept muttering something about 'milk' and 'Miltank'. We couldn't make heads or tails, but things were… awkward for us being there," Rusty explained.
"So, at least for a day or two, we're going to be spending some time outside of the Lab, doing some of our own Research Findings. At least until whatever's going on with the girls has blown over," Zach added. Lincoln, upon hearing the words "milk" and "Miltank", blushed brightly. This, however, didn't go unnoticed by his friends from Royal Woods.
"What? You know something we don't know?" Rusty asked suspiciously.
"Uh, sorry! A gentleman such as I never kisses and tells!" Lincoln nervously replied, his face somehow looking like an abstract piece of modern art.
"So you DO know something!" Zach accused, as he and the others, save for Bobby and Goh, tackled Lincoln and wrestled him to the ground.
"The girls were probably just thinking about Miltank Syndrome," Goh commented, catching the boy's attention.
"'Miltank Syndrome'? What's that?" Bobby asked.
"It's an uncommon condition that develops among women in all of the Pokemon Regions. In short, they can produce large quantities of highly nutritious milk from their breasts, even without having children. Researchers attribute this to the high nutrient content in the food served around the many regions," Misty explained.
"Wait, y-y-you mean that…?!" Rusty exclaimed, as he, Liam, and Zach thought of Polly, Tabby, and Giggles in cow print bikinis, staring passionately at them, each with large breasts. All three boys got gushing nose bleeds from that very thought.
"That was kind of my first thoughts too, along with Carlota, Girl Jordan, Stella, and Haiku too. Bobby, Clyde, how are you two…" Lincoln cut himself off when he saw both boys staring out across the bay, both of them having gone transparent somehow.
"I never thought a bay river at night could look so elegant," Bobby and Clyde mused in perfect unison.
"And they've lost it as well," Lincoln sighed.
"I'm sure it'll pass," Sid replied.
"Wait, how come you weren't acting weird like the others were, Sid?" Rusty asked.
"Because I grew up in Kanto and have known about Miltank Syndrome since I was little. Something like that may be a bombshell for the others, but for me, its common knowledge," Sid replied.
"Well, in any case, we should get to the Pokemon Center for the night. We've got a busy day ahead of us tomorrow, what with Lincoln's Gym Battle and all," Brock said, as they all began to move.
"Fuchsia City's the place that specializes in Poison Type Pokemon, right?" Zach asked.
"That's right. After I challenge the gym there, I'm going to call over Loona and Gwen for a date, and the mothers from the Monster Realm, and Nana's mom as well, to check out the Safari Zone," Lincoln replied.
"So, what Pokemon can we expect to find in the Safari Zone?" Clyde wondered.
"Rare ones like Tauros, Kangaskhan, and even Chansey. I plan on catching as many different Pokemon as I can!" Goh proclaimed, as they arrived at the Pokemon Center.
"Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Center. You're all up rather late," Nurse Joy greeted.
"On the contrary, I'm just in time to bear witness to your exquisite beauty, Nurse Joy!" Brock flirted almost instantly upon entering.
"You might be on time, but we're all late for bed!" Misty growled, pulling Brock away by the ear.
"Man, Brock is something else," Rusty commented.
"He's certainly not shy," Bobby commented.
"Speaking of beds, Nurse Joy, do you have any rooms available tonight?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do. Enough for all of you," Nurse Joy replied.
"Awesome! Now I'll get some much-needed rest before my Gym Battle tomorrow!" Lincoln proclaimed.
"Oh, you're here for a Gym Battle?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Yes, that's right. This'll be number six," Lincoln replied.
"Oh, well, it certainly does seem like you've been waiting a long time to come and try for your Soul Badge, but unfortunately, Janine, the Fuchsia City Gym Leader is going to be out of the Gym for at least another day," Nurse Joy replied in an apologetic tone.
"Aw man, really?" Lincoln moaned.
"Yes, I'm afraid so. She, along with the former Gym Leader, Koga, and the Gym Trainers of the Gym, are all working with Yurei, and the Maiden's Peak Gym Trainers to help drive off some poachers from the Pokemon Preserves and the Safari Zone," Nurse Joy explained.
"Well, I guess that does take priority," Lincoln sighed, hanging his head in defeat.
"But if it's any consolation, you can try heading to the Safari Zone. I'm sure you'll be able to catch a lot of Pokemon there," Nurse Joy suggested, trying to make Lincoln feel better.
"Yeah, I suppose you have a point there," Lincoln replied, just as someone entered the Pokemon Center.
"Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise!" they all looked to see Yurei, along with Amber and Chad. They were accompanied by at least four other people, three of whom were dressed as ninjas. The first of the ninjas was a young teen girl, with purple hair done up in a ponytail. She wore a bright pink scarf around her neck. The second was an adult man, with spikey black hair, and a stern look on his face. He wore a red scarf and face mask. The first ninja was a young woman in a hot pink jumpsuit, with mossy green hair. The fourth individual with them was a middle-aged woman with wide hips, almost on Rita's level. She had long, blonde hair, and wore a khaki zookeeper's outfit. She also wore hooped earrings. Sid was the first to speak.
"MOM?!" she exclaimed.
"Sid? I wasn't expecting you here tonight. But it's still great to see you. How are things at school?" Sid's Mother asked.
"Things have been fine, Mom, but I didn't expect you to be working in Fuchsia City today!" Sid replied.
"Yes, well, I was called in because the Preserve Warden asked me to come and help tend to the Pokemon that were injured because of the poachers. But enough about me, are these some of your new friends?" her mother replied, seeing the unfamiliar faces with her daughter.
"Yes, that's right. These are my friends from Royal Woods in America, Lincoln, Clyde, Rusty, Liam, Zach and Bobby, as well as Brock and Misty. Guys, this is my mother, Becca Chang," Sid said, introducing them all.
"Please to meet you, ma'am," Lincoln greeted on behalf of himself and his friends.
"Oh, so you're the American that's been conquering gyms as of late. And you've bested three of the strongest Gyms in Kanto no less," the teen ninja girl commented.
"Yes, that's right. I've come to challenge Janine, the new Fuchsia City Gym Leader to a battle," Lincoln replied. The girl almost tripped over but was quick to correct herself upon hearing the "new Gym Leader" remark.
"Well, look no further. I am Janine, Leader of Fuchsia Gym after my father, Koga, here," the girl said, introducing herself and the older ninja man.
"Oh, so you're the new Gym Leader Koga told the rest of us about!" Misty commented.
"Indeed I am. As for you, Lincoln Loud, I accept your challenge, but I won't be able to anything until the day after tomorrow, on account of trying to run those poachers out of the Preserves," Janine stated.
"Perfectly understandable. But if there's anything we can do to help out," Lincoln offered.
"As much as we appreciate the kind offer, young man, we must decline. The Pokemon Preserve is a protected area, where catching Pokemon is strictly prohibited. Outsiders are NOT allowed inside unless they're on a tour or have special permission from the Fuchsia City Council," Koga replied, politely declining Lincoln's offer.
"But if you're looking for something fun to do while you're waiting for us to finish things at the Pokemon Preserve, why not go ahead and check out the Safari Zone?" Amber suggested, bringing up the Safari Zone like Nurse Joy did.
"Well, since our hands are tied, we might as well. Not to mention you can get in some additional training before your Gym Battle," Misty added.
"Ok, sounds like fun," Lincoln replied.
"Good. I await the chance to battle you, Lincoln Loud," Janine said, as she and the others gave Nurse Joy trays full of Pokeballs, "If you would be so kind as to top us off, Nurse Joy?"
"Right. You can count on me!" Nurse Joy said, taking the Pokeballs to the back.
"In the meantime, I'd better call my family," Lincoln said, heading over to the Video Phones.
"We better do the same," Bobby suggested, as he and the other boys went to go call home.
Meanwhile, at the Reynolds House, morning,
Since it was finally the weekend again, the Reynolds sisters and their mother took their time getting up. And it helps that it was a three-day weekend too, giving Lori and Lynn some much needed time away from their hecklers. Now they were all seated at the dining room table, enjoying a nice breakfast of waffles, "So glad we can have something other than what we've been used to," Rita commented.
"I'll say. Eggs, bacon and cereal are good and all, but nothing wrong with branching out," Luna replied, savoring the soft, warm texture of the waffle she was eating.
"So, what's everyone's plans for today?" Lana wondered. It was at that moment that they heard the familiar buzzing of Lisa's wristwatches going off. The screen showed "Fuchsia City", which meant only one thing.
"Lincoln must've arrived in Fuchsia City!" Rita exclaimed. Lori and Lynn felt themselves tense up. They just had to talk things out with Lincoln, even if he wouldn't properly forgive them, they had to get everything off their chests.
"Should we invite Uncle Lance and them over?" Lola suggested.
"Hmm, now there's an idea, Lola. I'll go ahead and phone them up. You girls head in and get started talking with Lincoln," Rita instructed. All of her daughters got up from their seats, and headed upstairs, with Luan carrying Lily up, "Oh, Lori, Lynn?" she called out to both sisters.
"Yes, Mom?" Lori asked.
"Remember, if you both decide to go through with talking to Lincoln, just remember, be mindful, and keep your cool, even if he chews you out," Rita instructed.
"Don't worry, Mom. We're prepared for that eventuality," Lynn replied, admittedly still worried that things might go south for them.
"Good. I'll come up once I get off the phone with Lance and the others," Rita said, allowing both sisters to head upstairs to join the others.
"Alright, Lori, Lynn, it might be best if the two of you stay off to the side and out of Lincoln's line of sight. We'll put you on once things are ready," Lisa suggested.
"Fair enough," Lori replied, as she and Lynn stood off to the side. Lisa then answered the call, displaying Lincoln's visage.
"Hey guys! Been a while since we've last talked," Lincoln said.
"Yes. Last we spoke was during that P-1 Grand Prix where you entered with Primeape, if I'm not mistaken," Lisa replied.
"So, bro, what've you been up to since the last time we spoke?" Luna asked.
"Hang on a moment, where's Mom?" Lincoln asked. And just as he asked that, Rita came in.
"Sorry I'm late. I just called Lance and Sharon. They'll be over in a few minutes," she replied.
"Hmm, even with Lisa recording this call, I'd rather they be here to talk live," Lincoln commented.
"We understand, Lincoln. So, until they DO arrive, I think it'd be best to turn it over to these two," Lisa said, turning to Lori and Lynn, "You two are on," she said, as she and the others vacated the room, giving both sisters some privacy to talk to their brother. Lincoln was just as tense as they were upon seeing them.
"Uh, hey, Lincoln," Lori awkwardly greeted.
"Hey, Lori, Lynn," Lincoln greeted back, his tone being neutral. He knew these two must finally be ready to talk things out. However, words alone wouldn't convince Lincoln.
"You're looking good," Lynn said.
"Well, you can thank all the adventuring I've been doing and great food they have here in Kanto that I've been eating," Lincoln replied, in a more casual tone, hoping to try and help his two sisters feel more at ease with talking to him.
"We'll cut right to the chase, Lincoln… We… were complete idiots for prioritizing luck and romance over family," Lori began.
"It wasn't until our time at that… horrible asylum that we realized our mistakes. And by then, it was too late. We caused so much damage to a lot of things, our reputations, our relationship with our sisters, but more importantly, with you," Lynn added.
"Well, to be fair, I did have my own hand in the whole mess, what, with carrying on your superstitions, Lynn," Lincoln replied.
"But you wouldn't have had to do that if I had just acted like a real athlete, a real winner that day if I had just accepted my loss with a grain of salt," Lynn argued.
"True, but a bittersweet, er… silver lining to this is that I've finally found something that I'm passionate about. Granted, it's taken me far away from home, but the point still stands," Lincoln retorted.
"Even so, it was wrong of us to treat you the way we did. What we're trying to say is that we're truly sorry for putting you through all that Hell," Lori replied.
"Hmm, well, that's all well and good, Lori, but all I have to go by when you say that is your words, and that's not nearly enough to convince me. Sure, I've made my own share of mistakes that came at the expense of you and the others, but I at least act on it to try and set things right," Lincoln replied. Both sisters were a little disappointed that Lincoln wouldn't forgive them but were relieved to have that weight lifted off their chests.
"So, what exactly CAN convince you?" Lynn asked.
"Well, like Lori once said, 'actions speak louder than words.' If you two want me to properly forgive you, then you have to show that you truly deserve to be forgiven. But that's not to say that I won't have the two of you barred from coming in and talking to me when I call," Lincoln replied. Lori knew that this would be coming too and knew it would be hypocritical of her to make him follow that rule and not follow it herself.
"Well, at least we made SOME progress with working things out with you," Lynn commented.
"Indeed. Now, if you'll get Mom and the others, I can start sharing stories from my most recent adventures," Lincoln requested.
"Yes, quite right," Lori said, as she went to go let the others in, "Ok, we're good to get started," she said, just as they all heard the doorbell.
"Oh, that must be Lance and them! I'll be right back," Rita said, as she went back downstairs to answer the door, while the girls reentered Lisa's room.
"Where's Mom?" Lincoln asked.
"Uncle Lance and Aunt Sharon just arrived. They'll all be up in a few minutes," Luna replied. And true to her words, Rita entered the room, with Lance, Sharon, their kids, Emily, and Mr. D-Ragon in tow.
"Sorry we're late," Rita said, as she and her daughters stepped aside, allowing Lance and Sharon's family to speak to the white-haired boy.
"Hey there, kiddo! Good seeing you again!" Lance greeted Lincoln.
"It's been so long since we've spoke, Uncle Lance! You, Aunt Sharon, and our cousins all look to be doing well," Lincoln greeted back.
"We could say the same to you, Lincoln! How are things in that Kanto place?" Shiloh asked.
"Feels like every day is one adventure after another! There's no shortage of awesome stuff over here either!" Lincoln replied.
"So, where are you calling from?" Sharon asked.
"Fuchsia City. I just arrived here about maybe half an hour ago. This'll be where I'm going to try for Badge Number six," Lincoln replied.
"What sort of Badges have you earned so far?" Shane asked. Lincoln pulled out his badge case, showing his five collected Badges so far.
"I've earned the Boulder Badge, the Cascade Badge, the Thunder Badge, the Primal Badge, and the Phantom Badge. I've heard that trainers can get a Soul Badge from the Poison Type Gym here in Fuchsia City. Though, I'm not expecting it to be easy to get, even with the strategy I've cooked up," Lincoln replied.
"What's your strategy? And why do you think it won't be easy?" Lance asked.
"Well, my strategy is to go in with Steel Type Pokemon, since they don't take damage from Poison Type attacks. As for why it won't be easy, it's all a part of the Badge System the Gym Leaders use. The more badges a challenger has, the tougher the team they'll use," Lincoln replied.
"Needless to say, Lincoln's facing tougher opponents every chance he gets, and each battle make him and his team stronger than before," Lisa chimed in.
"Precisely, Lisa," Lincoln replied. It was Emily's turn to come up and talk to him, "Hey Emily! How've you been since the Valentino incident?"
"Much better, and so have all of the other girls you rescued from his control," Emily replied.
"That's good to hear. So how are you liking it in Royal Woods?" Lincoln asked.
"It's truly a wonderful place! Of course, all the stares I get from the townsfolk is a bit uncomfortable, but there doesn't seem to be any disdain," Emily replied.
"Well, the Interspecies Bill is still fairly new, so humans aren't used to you and the others from the Monster Realm just yet. But give them a little time, and I'm sure they'll accept you as a part of daily life," Lincoln replied.
"True," Emily replied. Sharon then helped Mr. D-Ragon up to be in view.
"Lincoln, this is our other Exchange Student, Mr. D-Ragon. Mr. D-Ragon, this is Lincoln, our nephew," Sharon said, introducing the two.
"Please to meet you, sir," Lincoln replied.
"Likewise. I got to say, you're quite well mannered, especially for a pre-adolescent. I pity the fool who lacks manners!" Mr. D-Ragon replied.
"Yeah, I'm sure you do," Lincoln replied, trailing off towards the end.
"So, what have you been up to since the last time we talked?" Rita asked.
"Let's see, the last time I called home was when I was in the P-1 Grand Prix with Primeape, but the last time I updated you on my adventures was right up until our final day in Celadon City. So, why don't I start after that? Will that be alright with the rest of you?" Lincoln asked his aunt and uncle's family.
"Oh sure, Lincoln. Lisa gave us digital copies of all your past calls home, so we're, more or less, up to date," Lance replied.
"Alright then. But first, I've got some more data for you, Lisa!" Lincoln said.
"Oh goodie! I've been itching to see what new Pokemon you've encountered!" Lisa replied. Lincoln inserted his Pokedex into the slot on his end.
"Data transferring… data transferring… Data Transfer Complete," the same computerized voice said.
"We've got the data, Lincoln!" Lisa proclaimed.
"Good. Hopefully that'll make things a bit easier with these next few stories. Anyhow, our first stop on our way to Fuchsia City was a large canyon just outside of Celadon City. That was Grampa Canyon, where the Great Fossil Rush was taking place," Lincoln began.
"A Fossil Rush?" Shelby asked.
"Basically, a bunch of Fossils of Ancient, Extinct Pokemon were being discovered, which was attracting all sorts of people, who were wanting to try and find them, either to display in Science Museums, or have them restored into extremely rare, extinct Pokemon. That was the event where I hung out with Lucius, Stolas and the rest of my fiancé's fathers. I even encountered King Deviluke there as well. Things… were kind of tense between him and my future monster fathers in law," Lincoln replied.
"Wait, when you say 'restore,' you don't actually mean…?" Shane asked.
"Yep. The Pokemon Regions have the technology to restore Pokemon from fossils. During our time at the dig, Lucius and the others and I were able to not only find treasures like Nuggets, Star Pieces and Comet Shards, but we also managed to find a grand total of three fossils that I could restore. Well, actually it was Lucius and them that found the Fossils. But I traded them the treasures I dug up. They said they were going to commission some dwarves to fashion them into accessories for Charlie and the others," Lincoln explained.
"That is so awesome that you've got your own dinosaur Pokemon! So, what ones did you get?" Lana asked.
"Well, first, you should understand what Fossils I was given, first. They found and gave me a Skull Fossil, a Jaw Fossil, and a Sail Fossil. In that order, they were stored into a Cranidos, a Tyrunt, and an Amaura. Lisa, if you would?" Lincoln requested.
"Say no more, Lincoln," Lisa replied, as she brought up the newest batch of Pokemon data, which included the three fossil Pokemon in question.
"Whoa, is that a T-Rex?!" Luna exclaimed, seeing Tyrunt.
"And is that blue one a velociraptor?!" Sharon questioned, looking at Cranidos.
"Well, more accurately, this 'Cranidos' specimen looks more like a Pachycephalosaurus. Even so, I wouldn't want to get a headbutt from it anytime soon," Lisa replied, noting Cranidos' spear shaped head.
"Yeah, but during our time at the dig, the X-Rockets were planning to blow up large chunks of the canyon with dynamite. Me, and several others attempted to stop them, only for the floor of the canyon to open up, sending us and the X-Rockets into a cave several miles below the Earth's surface," Lincoln continued.
"Oh my! That sounds terrifying!" Emily exclaimed.
"It was, but that was a walk in the park compared to what happened after that. See, inside the cave we landed in were living specimens of ancient Pokemon like Kabuto and Omanyte, as well as their evolved forms, Kabutops and Omastar. But they were only cupcakes to the Aerodactyl that came and nearly tried to eat me and my friend, Red. It was this sort of scenario that allowed Inferna, Spirit, Dragonair, and Grovyle to evolve into Charizard, Flygon, Dragonite, and Sceptile. They battled fiercely against Aerodactyl, but it wasn't until the Legendary Pokemon, Raikou, appeared and struck Aerodactyl with a Thunder Attack. It was going to finish it off, but I convinced it to spare Aerodactyl," Lincoln explained.
"You wanted it to spare the creature that tried to eat you?" Mr. D-Ragon questioned.
"It wasn't exactly Aerodactyl's fault in the first place. The dynamite explosion woke it and the other living Fossil Pokemon, and they were naturally cranky because of it. Aerodactyl was so amazed by how I was trying to save its life, that it agreed to join my team," Lincoln explained.
"So, not only did you get a bunch of restored dinosaur Pokemon, but one of them was a living specimen to boot? That's extraordinary!" Rita exclaimed.
"Yep. After we left Grampa Canyon and found our way to a Pokemon Center, we decided to portal back to Pewter City to get our Fossils restored. It was there that we visited Brock's family, and where I took on the eldest of his younger brothers, Forrest, in a battle to see how good he was, since Forrest was going to take over the Pewter Gym. It was at that time that Aizami, my Ivysaur, evolved into a Venusaur. And I got to tell you, he was tough!"
"We can only imagine. So, what happened after you got your fossils restored?" Lisa asked.
"Well, our next stop was a city by the name of 'Hophophop Town'. That was when I took part in the P-1 Grand Prix with Primeape," Lincoln replied.
"We saw what happened when you battled in it. It must've been rough for you," Lucy commented.
"Yeah. But to be fair, I wasn't expecting Raigo to be a pushover. He showed that he earned all of his Gym Badges for a reason," Lincoln replied.
"So, apart from the P-1 Grand Prix, what did you do in that town?" Luan asked.
"Well, first, there was a string of bizarre circumstances that have been happening three days prior to our arrival. First, a bunch of kids went missing, then there was a bunch of Pokemon at the Pokemon Center who were out of energy. Like, they could barely stay awake. Anyhow, we teamed up with Officer Jenny and found out that the cause of these events was a Pokemon Lovers Club, who were utilizing the move 'Hypnosis' from a Pokemon called 'Hypno' to help them fall asleep. Effective, sure, but the side effect was causing problems for the rest of the city, and was the cause of the children going missing, so we had to use Hypno's pre-evolved form, Drowzee to fix the mess," Lincoln explained.
"Hmm, it would make sense for a side effect like that to happen," Lisa murmured.
"What do you mean?" Shiloh asked.
"See, from what Lincoln's saying, Hypnosis is a move that's traditionally used in battle, but it was being used for something other than that, which was causing all of that to go down," Lisa explained.
"Exactly. After that, Brock took Misty and I to somewhere called 'Breeder's Steet', where the latest in Pokemon Grooming was being sold at salons and whatnot, which also included some really bizarre trend of dressing up your Pokemon with accessories and makeup, which, in my opinion, made them look absolutely gaudy. It was here that we found a salon that Brock was particularly searching for. It was run by a woman named Suzie, who opted to bring out a Pokemon's true beauty through means of good grooming and massage to improve their health," Lincoln continued.
"Is grooming really that important for a Pokemon?" Mr. D-Ragon asked.
"Oh, most definitely. Suzie taught me and the others that massaging Pokemon a certain way helps not only relieve fatigue, but it can also help give them more energy. For instance, in the case of Pikachu here, rubbing the electric sacs on its cheeks helps to alleviate some tension that builds up after it has a battle where it launches off a lot of Electric Attacks. In fact, massaging and grooming my Pokemon was what ultimately led to my Buneary evolving into a Lopunny," Lincoln replied. Lisa then pulled up data on both Pokemon.
"So, you're saying that getting your Buneary to like you more as a trainer enabled it to evolve?" Lisa asked.
"Yep. It happened once before when Bruce, my Golbat, evolved into a Crobat. Anyways, after that was the P-1 Grand Prix, which, well, you all saw on TV, so I'll just say that I left Primeape in the care of one of the trainers I encountered there to try and master Rage Fist and skip that one. Our next adventure after leaving that city took us to a small village nestled somewhere in a forest. The townsfolk there were pretty nice people. They made medicines for Pokemon from herbs found in the local forest. Of course, with how bitter the medicines are, Pokemon naturally can't stand the stuff, even though it's good for them. Anyhow, the village itself was being plagued by a rogue Scyther that claimed the forest as its own," Lincoln continued.
"What does a Scyther look like?" Lana asked.
"Imagine a human sized praying mantis with huge, scythe like claws. Fast, powerful, and vicious, it kept all the villagers from going into the forest to collect their herbs," Lincoln explained.
"That sounds awful! You didn't go and fight it, did you?" Emily asked.
"We had to. That Scyther was causing problems for the people of that village. Anyhow, we tracked down the Scyther, and after a fierce battle between it and my newly evolved Blastoise, Raphael, as well as having a less than pleasant encounter with the X-Rockets, I was able to catch it and add it to my team. It was also during that time that my Egg hatched into an Eevee," Lincoln explained. Lisa began pulling up information on the Pokemon he was mentioning.
"Here's what they all look like," she said, showing everyone images of the Pokemon from that day.
"That turtle looks like it has cannons on its shell!" Rita exclaimed.
"And you weren't kidding about that Scyther! It looks tough!" Luna added.
"And it was tough, too. It wasn't until after a hard-fought battle that I managed to catch it. Anyhow, our next stop was Stone Town, which was a quiet little town at the foot of Evolution Mountain, which was also the place to go to find Evolution Stones. Along the way, we found an Eevee tied up and left inside of the hollowed-out trunk of a tree. After getting the information from the tag on its collar, we decided to bring Eevee back to its home, which was having a big garden party for a club that was dedicated to raising Pokemon that evolve through Items," Lincoln continued.
"When you say 'Items', what exactly does that mean?" Sharon asked.
"See, some Pokemon evolve after they've gained a certain level of experience, others when they like their trainer enough. In fact, Pikachu here is one species of Pokemon that evolved with the influence of an item, namely a Thunder Stone," Lincoln explained.
"Oh, I think I get it now," Sharon replied.
"Yeah. It was also at that party that we encountered the girls from the Monster Realm, as well as their classmates from the school they attend, who were there on a field trip. Not only that, but some of the guys from the Cerise Labs were also there, researching Item Based evolutions. With them there, I was able to use a King's Rock and a Metal Coat to help evolve my Poliwhirl, Mesmer, and Scyther into a Politoed and Scizor, while also helping Clyde evolve his Slowpoke into a Slowking and Brock evolve his Onix into a Steelix," like before, Lisa pulled up each entry Lincoln just listed off.
"Oh, so Scyther goes from having scythes to having pincers?" Lori asked.
"And with Poliwhirl into Politoed, I can understand," Lana added.
"But what about these other Pokemon you mentioned? Onix, Steelix, Slowpoke and Slowking?" Shiloh asked.
"Well, I only traded with Clyde and Brock temporarily so that we can evolve our Pokemon. We're going to need all the powerful Pokemon we can get in our future battles against Team Rocket," Lincoln replied.
"Man, I would've loved to see that Steelix up close," Lana pouted.
"Well, if I ever manage to find a wild Steelix, I'll try and catch one," Lincoln replied, which sort of cheered up Lana a bit, "Anyhow, after our time at the party, we opted to stick around Stone Town for a few days so that I could participate in a Pokemon Contest that was held there. And this time, it was the Toughness Division, so I decided to go with Kingler and Lucario."
"Are Pokemon Contests the same as Gym Battles?" Shelby asked.
"Not quite. Sure, there is a battle stage, but Contests are more about showing off your Pokemon in a flashy manner. In this case, I was supposed to show off how tough Kingler and Lucario were. But before the Contest, a few other things happened. First off, I followed some advice I got from Professor Oak and tracked down someone living in Stone Town that could help me master Mega Evolution. The person in question was an elderly man by the name of 'Giro'. He tested me, Brock and Misty for our worth of using Mega Evolution. And much to my surprise and relief, the Pokemon I had that were capable of Mega Evolution were all close enough to me that I could use Mega Evolution with nary any consequences. Of course, we had to get used to using it, but that was to be expected," Lincoln continued.
"Well, practice does make perfect," Lance replied.
"And how. After that, one of my alien fiancés, Nana Deviluke, invited me to some big Intergalactic Conference involving several other alien representatives from different corners of the galaxy, and- GAK!" Lincoln was cut off when Zach came up from behind him and put him in a headlock, clearly jealous of what Lincoln had just said.
"YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU GOT OT GO TO SPACE AND MEET A BUNCH OF OTHER ALIENS BESIDES NANA AND THEM?!" Zach yelled.
"ZACH…! CHOKING…! NOT… BREATHING…!" Lincoln tapped out, allowing his alien enthusiast friend to release him. The others came to restrain Zach, while Lincoln caught his breath, "And to answer your question, yes, I did go to space and meet up with Nana and her sisters, along with several other alien friends of theirs, including three other princesses, who I… may or may not… have got engaged to accidentally," Lincoln sheepishly. Zach and the other boys from the lab just stared at him, dumbfounded.
"Damn, little Loud, didn't think you had it in you!" Bobby commented.
"So, Lincoln's not only engaged to Monster Royalty, but now he's got some alien fiancés too?!" Lori exclaimed, clearly shocked to hear this.
"Lori? Last I heard about you, you got sent to… that awful sanitorium," Bobby said, shuddering at the thought of the mental asylum.
"Well, Lynn and I were able to make great progress, which allowed us to be released early," Lori replied, as she looked away. She knew that she had no chance of getting Bobby back as a boyfriend, and figured it would be a waste of time trying to do so.
"I see. Sorry for interrupting your call home, Lincoln," Bobby said, as he and the boys dragged a now unconscious Zach away.
"That boy with the glasses seemed… spirited," Emily commented.
"You mean Zach? Yeah, he and his family are alien enthusiasts, and are always wanting to try and prove their existence. I won't go into too much details, other than the fact I met several major royal families, and the girls from the Monster Realm also joining in the fun. Anyways, soon as we got back home to Earth, the next day was the Pokemon Contest, which I managed to barely win," Lincoln said, holding up his Ribbon Case, with both of his winning ribbons in it.
"Oh, they're gorgeous!" Shelby exclaimed.
"Yep, not to mention proof of my Pokemon's hard work, much like my Gym Badges. After the Contest, the three of us decided to take a shortcut to Sunny Town, where another Pokemon Contest, this time, a Coolness Division Contest, was being held. Halfway through the shortcut, we encountered more of our friends from the Cerise Laboratory, who were investigating a Mass Outbreak of Pikachu on Evolution Mountain," Lincoln continued.
"What does that mean, a 'Mass Outbreak'?" Shane asked.
"It means there was many a single species of Pokemon. The last one I dealt with was an Outbreak of Grimer in Gringey City, where I caught a Grimer, as well as a Muk. The latter was more than willing to be part of the team, but the former can't stand me, no matter what I try," Lincoln replied.
"Sounds like how Raphael was when you first caught him," Lola commented.
"Yeah, but I think Grimer might be worse behaved. Anyhow, the reason for this Mass Outbreak was so that the Pikachu could find Thunder Stones, since Evolution Mountain attracts Pokemon that evolve with Stones. During this time, I managed to catch a pair of Pikachu and Raichu. Two of them seemed to have taken a liking to Pikachu," Lincoln explained, much to Pikachu's embarrassment.
"Oh, so now your Pikachu's going to be getting some ladies of its own?" Rita mused.
"Probably. After that, we, along with our friends from the Lab, made it to Sunny Town, where I would go to try and earn a third ribbon. But the night before the day of the contest, I took Girl Jordan, Stella, Haiku, Carlota, Amber, the Hex Maniac from the Maiden's Peak Gym, and Midori out on a date," Lincoln further explained, as his sisters, even Lori, looked giddy from this news, "Anyhow, the next day, I went into the Contest with Gengar, who won in the Appeals round, followed by Inferna in the Battle Stage. I managed to make it all the way to the final round, but Inferna was defeated, but not without putting up a fight. That Cloyster my opponent used was tough!"
"Oh, too bad about your third ribbon, sweetie," Rita said.
"Eh, I'm not too broken up about it. I'll just retool some strategies and get my Pokemon some training in and try again the next Contest. After that, I took a Water Taxi over to Fuchsia City, which led me to meet the new Gym Leader of Fuchsia City, Janine, as well as her father, the former Leader, Koga. And the rest led to right now," Lincoln concluded.
"Well, you certainly have been busy!" Sharon commented.
"Yeah, being a trainer has been one of the most fulfilling things I've done for myself," Lincoln replied.
"So, is tomorrow going to be when you take on that Janine girl?" Lana asked.
"Afraid not. Janine, along with Yurei, and all the trainers from both of their Gyms are dealing with some poachers that are causing some trouble on the local preserves. It'll be the day after tomorrow that I'll be taking her on," Lincoln replied.
"So, poaching's a problem in places like Kanto too?" Lance asked.
"Unfortunately, yes. Either by Team Rocket or independent poachers. Thankfully, with so many powerful trainers helping out, the poachers will no doubt be run out of town, or, even better, thrown in prison," Lincoln replied.
"Well, if you're not going to challenge Janine right away, what'll you do in the meantime?" Lisa asked.
"That's easy; The guys and I are going to check out the Safari Zone," Lincoln replied.
"What's the Safari Zone?" Lynn asked.
"It's an area in the Kanto Region with Pokemon that aren't easily found anywhere else in the region. I'm planning to invite Charlie and the other's mothers for the same kind of bonding day I had with their dads. Based on what I was told the last I saw of them, both Milt and Loona's moms will also be joining in," Lincoln explained.
"Well, as long as you're making sure to be careful. I don't know if those poachers will invade the Safari Zone, but I'd rather you not get mixed up with them," Rita warned.
"Don't worry, Mom, we'll be sure to steer clear of them. The only chance I can see us getting mixed up with those poachers is if we have no other way to escape. But the Safari Zone should be large enough to the point where that probably won't happen," Lincoln replied.
"Well, in any case, if you see anyone suspicious that looks like they'd be a poacher, just duck somewhere and hide until they've gone," Rita urged.
"Will do, Mom. Anyhow, I'll send over another batch of Pokemon after I've won at the Gym," Lincoln replied.
"That's more than acceptable, Lincoln," Lisa replied.
"Good. So, anything new happen on your end?" Lincoln asked.
"Not that much. Everything's been going by as it usually does," Luan replied.
"Emily and those Siren Sisters are going to be starting at Royal Woods High on Monday," Sharon pointed out.
"Yeah. I've been looking forward to this, but my legs still feel like jelly," Emily admitted.
"Perfectly understandable, Emily. Anyhow, if there's nothing else you guys want to talk about, then I'll go ahead and hang up now," Lincoln said.
"We understand, Lincoln. Have a good night," Rita said, as the call ended.
"Ok, so that went by smoothly," Luna commented.
"Does Lincoln always tell stories of his travels in Kanto when he calls?" Shiloh asked.
"Oh, most definitely. His adventures are the basis of my latest novels, which is just as much of a plus as hearing from him," Rita replied.
"Well, that Safari Zone thing might add a lot more to your novel," Emily replied.
"No doubt about that," Rita replied, as everyone vacated the room, "So, what are you all going to today?"
"We're going to go get the last of Emily's supplies for her new school year," Lance replied.
"We just need to some extra pens and pencils, and some notebooks," Sharon added, as they exited the house.
"Well, just be safe on your outing. Royal Woods can be a very hectic place at times," Rita advised.
"We will, Rita. See you around," Sharon said, as they all piled into the truck, and drove off.
"So, were the two of you able to apologize to Lincoln?" Rita asked Lori and Lynn.
"We did, but, just as we expected, he wouldn't forgive us that easily, saying we have to physically show that we do care about him," Lori replied.
"Well, that is to be expected. But hopefully you'll have SOME peace of mind, right?" Lisa asked.
"True, but we have to figure out HOW to show him we care. Simply supporting him in his quest for more of those badges and participating in the Pokemon League won't be enough," Lynn replied.
"Yes, quite the conundrum," Lisa replied.
"I'm sure the two of you will get your chance, but it will take time before that does happen," Rita stated, as she and her daughters went about their morning.
Back with Lincoln,
"Alright, now that that's taken care of, I should contact Charlie and them about their mothers," Lincoln commented. Just as he pulled out his amulet and was ready to call them, he was approached by a young man in what could be considered a magician's outfit.
"Sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help but overhear that you've got yourself an ornery Grimer?" he asked.
"Yes, that's right. Unlike the Muk I previously caught, it just doesn't want to cooperate with me," Lincoln replied.
"I see. Well, how about this then? How would you like to trade your Grimer for my Grimer?" the young man offered. This perplexed Lincoln to no end.
"Uh, not to sound rude or anything, but why trade my Grimer for another Grimer?" Lincoln asked.
"Well, why don't you see for yourself?" the young man said, as he tossed a Pokeball, which released a Grimer, but it was a swampy green color, with yellow lips and what appeared to be crystalline teeth.
"Whoa, this doesn't look anything like the Grimer I have!" Lincoln exclaimed, as he took a moment to scan it.
"Grimer, Alola Form, the Sludge Pokemon, a Poison and Dark Type. Grimer took on this form from a diet consisting mainly of garbage. What appear to be crystals are actually lumps of toxins. If one falls off, lethal poison seeps out," Dexter explained.
"That's right. I caught this one when I was living back in the Alola Region. I've been wanting to catch a Kantonian Grimer for the longest time but could never find one. So, a trade like this benefits both of us. I'll get a Grimer I've been wanting, and you get a rare Regional Form of Grimer. So, what do you say?" the young man asked.
"I'd be crazy to say no to that! It's a deal! But I have to make a call to some individuals in the Monster Realm first," Lincoln replied.
"Oh, got connections there?" the young man asked.
"Yeah. It's a bit of a long story," Lincoln replied.
"Well, either way, I'll be waiting by the Trade Machine," the young man said, leaving Lincoln to make his calls.
Lincoln rubbed each ring on his arms, initiating the call, "Hello, Charlie? Verosika? Are you and the others there?" he asked.
"That we are, Lincoln," Charlie replied.
"Ok. I'm calling to let you know that I've made it to Fuchsia City," Lincoln replied.
"Oh, that's the place you said you would take our moms to have your bonding day, right?" Milt asked.
"That's right. So, if each of your moms aren't too busy, I'd like to invite them over to check out the Safari Zone," Lincoln replied.
"Oh sure, Lincoln! Our moms all made sure to have their schedule cleared for just such an event," Miu replied.
"We'll let them know that you'll call them over tomorrow," Octavia added.
"Just so you know, that'll include both my and Milt's moms too," Loona added.
"By the way, did you challenge the gym already?" Charlie asked.
"Afraid not. The Gym's closed until the day after tomorrow, since the Gym Leader's helping to rid some of the local Pokemon Preserves of poachers," Lincoln replied.
"Oh, that's too bad. But at least you'll have an opportunity to take me and Loona out on our date?" Gwendolyn asked.
"Sure thing. How about tomorrow night?" Lincoln suggested.
"Sounds good, as long as it isn't a Full Moon," Loona replied.
"I checked a lunar calendar a little while ago. The next Full Moon isn't until next week," Lincoln replied, much to Loona's relief. She would rather NOT go crazy to "get with Lincoln" and land herself and him in trouble with both realm governments, "So, I guess we're a go for tomorrow?"
"Sure are. I'll be sure to bring one of my best, homemade dresses," Gwendolyn replied.
"Great! I'll see you both tomorrow. Oh, and Charlie? You'll pass the message off to Vaggie and her mom, right?" Lincoln asked.
"Not to worry, Lincoln. I'll make sure they get the message," Charlie replied.
"Great! Thanks for that. Well, I'll talk to you girls later," Lincoln replied.
"Ok, Lincoln. Have a good night," Verosika said, as they hung up the call.
"Alright. A quick text to Nana and I'll go deal with that trade," Lincoln said to himself, as he used his Pokedex to type out a text message to Nana.
"Hey Nana. I've just arrived in Fuchsia City. I was wondering if your mom was busy with her work. If not, could you extend an invitation to her so that she can join in an in-law bonding day out. I'm planning to head to the Safari Zone with the moms of Charlie and the others from the Monster Realm. Thanks a bunch,
Lincoln Loud."
"… And send!" Lincoln said, reading over the message one last time, before sending it off, "Ok, now all I have to do is wait for her reply. For now, it's time for a Trade!" he said, as he left the Video Phone area, and found the young man from before, standing next to a machine of sorts with two cylinders on each side of it.
"Hey there! Was wondering where you were," the young man commented.
"Sorry, had to make some important calls to the Monster Realm," Lincoln asked, as the young man placed his Pokeball into the machine cylinder, "Alright then. Just give me a moment," Lincoln said, as he swapped out one of the Pokeballs on his current team with the one holding his Grimer. The then placed the Pokeball into the machine, "Alright, and now I just pull the switch," he said, as he pulled the switch down, which activated the machine, sucking in both Pokeballs. The screen on the machine showed both Grimer being exchanged between the two trainers, before popping out on the other side.
"And that's all there is to it," the young man said, as both of them tossed their Pokeballs, releasing their new Grimer.
"Grimer, Alola Form, has been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter stated.
"Sweet!" Lincoln exclaimed, kneeling down to talk to Grimer, "Hey there, Grimer. I'm Lincoln Loud, and starting today, I'll be your new trainer," he said, introducing himself to his new Alolan Grimer.
"Pleased to meet you!" his new Grimer happily greeted back.
"Thanks for the Kantonian Grimer!" the young man said, as he recalled his new Grimer and walked off. It was then that Lincoln's Pokedex pinged with a message from Nana.
"Lincoln, my mother said that she's got enough time out of her busy schedule to come and visit. She says she would love to join in the Safari Zone,
Nana," the message read. Lincoln typed back.
"Great. I look forward to it. Oh, and could also tell her to dress in something that she won't mind getting dirty. I doubt we'll have any trouble in the Safari Zone, but I would rather not have one of her nicer dresses get ruined or dirty," Lincoln typed back. In seconds, he got a reply from Nana.
"Sounds feasible. I'll let her know," she typed back.
"Great! I'll see you around then," he typed back. Lincoln let out a yawn, feeling tired from the day's events.
"Welp, time to go get some dinner, then on to bed," Lincoln said, as he went to join up with the others.
The next morning, on a path leading to the northern part of the city,
Lincoln and friends were now following Nurse Joy's directions, and heading to the Safari Zone, hoping to make plenty of rare catches, "Alright, time to fill out my Pokedex some more!" Goh exclaimed.
"You've been making progress with your Pokedex, right Goh?" Lincoln asked.
"That's right! I've already managed to catch ever Bug Type Pokemon in the Kanto Region, which was a nice, easy step for me," Goh replied.
"Always good to start small," Brock commented.
"So what about you guys? What about your goals?" Sid asked the friends from Royal Woods. They all had looks of contemplation on their faces.
"Truthfully, we only really came out to the Kanto Region to get a little taste of the action Lincoln was getting as a Trainer, so we've never really thought of what we wanted to do," Clyde replied.
"Well, for me, my goal, at least for the moment, is just to enter the Indigo League, and hopefully win it. And maybe the Grand Festival too," Lincoln added.
"Well, you're all sure to find what it is you want to do. It'll just take some time," Misty replied, just as a big sign with jungle like decorations came into view. The sign read "Welcome to the Safari Zone."
"So, this must be it?" Liam asked.
"It is. We'll take you guys in to get settled in," Brock said, as they approached the main office.
"You guys go on ahead. I'll be a moment," Lincoln replied, fishing out his amulet.
"Ok, Lincoln," Misty said, as Lincoln began using his amulet to make the calls.
"Miu? You and the girls there?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes Lincoln, we're all here. And our moms are ready to come over," Miu replied.
"And that goes for Ms. Carmine as well," Charlie added.
"Alrighty then. I'm opening the portal now," Lincoln replied, as he opened the portal. And in seconds, Lilliana, Elanor, and all of the other mothers of his Monster fiancés passed through, including Carmilla, an older hellhound woman that he figured was Loona's mother, and a brawny looking minotaur woman wearing leather straps and armor. All the other mothers were wearing what looked to be typical safari attire, including dome hats and a full khaki outfit.
"Hello, Lincoln. It's been quite some time since we last saw you," Lilliana commented.
"I can say the same to you and the others, Lilliana," Lincoln replied.
"So, this is the boy that's engaged to my daughter?" the minotaur woman asked, lifting Lincoln up to get a better look at him.
"Yes. Lincoln, this is Milt's Mother, Jellisa, a Warrior Breed Minotaur, as well as Loona's mother, Gilda. Jellisa, Gilda, this is Lincoln Loud, great grandson to one of our husband's grandfather's friends," Elanor said, introducing the three.
"Hmm, a little on the scrawny side, wouldn't you say?" Jellisa asked bluntly.
"Well, I'm not really into athletics, so I'm not going to be brawny," Lincoln replied respectfully.
"Well, in any case, tell me. How far have you gotten with our daughters?" Jellisa asked.
"I-In what way?" Lincoln asked, confused as to what the minotaur woman was asking.
"I mean, have you gotten to the point where Milt would allow you to milk her by hand? Dairy Breeds like her only allow males to milk them if they truly trust them!" Jellisa clarified. Lincoln blushed upon remembering how he milked Milt back in Stone Town. The blush was enough to answer Jellisa's question, "Ah, so you DID milk her then?"
"W-Well, to be fair, she was feeling pretty stressed with how heavy they were and wanted me to try milking her. She seemed to enjoy it though," Lincoln shakily replied.
"Hmm, well, at least you know how to take care of that, at least," Jellisa commented, setting Lincoln down. Now, it was Gilda's turn to speak with Lincoln.
"So, tell me, Lincoln, how are things with Loona?" she asked.
"Well, we haven't gone on a date yet. We agreed to go out tonight, along with Gwen. But we have been able to hang out a little bit when I invited her and the others over for like perfume shopping or watching special Pokemon competitions," Lincoln replied.
"In any case, we should go ahead and get a start on our little expedition. How exactly does this work?" Stella asked.
"Well, I only just arrived here with my friends a few minutes ago, and I haven't gone inside the main office yet, so I don't know how it works. Plus, I'm also waiting on one other individual to arrive," Lincoln replied.
"Wait no longer, Lincoln," the voice of Sephie said, as she was seen approaching them, "I hope I'm not to late joining this little party."
"No, your majesty. If anything, you're right on time. These are the mothers of the girls from the Monster Realm I brought with to the conference that was held the other day," Lincoln said, introducing the mothers from the Monster Realm.
"A pleasure to meet you all. I am Sephie Michalea Deviluke, Queen of the Planet Deviluke, the supreme power in the entire universe," Sephie said, introducing herself.
"The pleasure is ours. I am Lilliana Magne, Queen of the Entire Monster Realm."
"Elanor Mayday."
"Gilda Von Throne."
"Jellisa Fraser."
"Stella Owlgore."
"Rasha Meridian."
"Kiken Roketto."
"Carmilla Carmine."
"Well, now that we're all acquainted, why don't we go and learn more about the rules of the Safari Zone?" Lincoln asked, hoping things won't escalate like they did with his future fathers in law back in Grampa Canyon.
"Sounds good," Lilliana said, as they made their way into the main office, where the others were waiting.
"Hey Lincoln, we were wondering what was keeping you," Clyde commented, before noticing Lilliana and the others, "Ah, now I get it."
"Have you guys already signed up?" Lincoln asked.
"Yep. The warden is already going to get our Safari Balls," Misty replied, as an older man came out from the back, pushing a cart containing what appeared to be buckets, each filled a number of Pokeballs with camo print upper halves inside each of them.
"Alright. Each of you gets 30 Safari Balls. These are the ONLY devices you're allowed to use to catch any Pokemon inside the Safari Zone. Try any funny business, and not only will your time in the Safari Zone be cut short, but you'll receive a one year ban from it. Which is to say nothing of what me and Thunderbolt will do," the man said.
"Your… 'Thunderbolt'?" Goh asked, only for the older man to whip out a revolver.
"I don't think it needs to be said that I take my job as the caretaker of the Safari Zone VERY seriously, right?" the man asked.
"Uh… not at all, sir," Rusty nervously replied upon seeing the gun.
"He does seem dedicated," Elanor whispered.
"Not to mention strict," Rasha replied. The man then noticed the women from the Monster Realm.
"Am I to assume that you ladies are representatives of the Monster Realm?" he respectfully asked.
"In a way, yes, we are. We're here by special permission to spend a day with our future son in law. I hope it's not an issue to let us join in his Safari Zone experience, right?" Lilliana asked.
"Not at all. But since you're not trainers, you won't be able to get any Safari Balls to use during the session, and you'll also have to follow ALL of the rules these youngsters have to follow as well," the man replied.
"Speaking of, what are the rules for the Safari Zone?" Lincoln asked.
"They're straightforward and simple: Each individual trainer is given 30 Safari Balls to use during their time here. As soon as you run out, come immediately back here. You can use any tools you have on you to find Pokemon, but you're only allowed to use the Safari Balls. Regular Pokeballs are strictly forbideen," the man explained.
"So, like, if we have fishing rods, we can use those, right?" Lincoln asked.
"Exactly. You can also use your Pokemon to traverse patches of water or smash apart breakable rocks. However, you're NOT allowed to use your Pokemon to battle any of the wild Pokemon that reside here," the man added.
"Oof, that'll make catching Pokemon here a lot trickier than I thought," Lincoln commented.
"Well, those are the rules the owner put into place," the man replied.
"Wait, you're not the owner?" Sid asked.
"No, I'm the warden. Kaiser's the name. The owner goes by the name Boaba," the man clarified.
"Well, in any case, could I sign up like my friends did?" Lincoln asked.
"Of course. Just let me see your Trainer ID, and I'll get you your Safari Balls. As for the rest of you, each of those buckets have your names on them, so go ahead and take them," Kaiser said, as he ushered Lincoln over to the front counter to get him settled, while the others took their individual buckets. After scanning Lincoln's Trainer ID, Kaiser gave it back to him, and handed him a bucket full of Safari Balls, "Now, if you'll all follow me, I'll let you into the Safari Zone," he said, leading them all outside, and over to a gigantic gate. He pressed a button on a panel, which began to open it up, "Remember, once you've run out of Safari Balls, you're to return here immediately, without exception."
"We will," Lincoln replied, as he and the others entered the Safari Zone.
"Alright, so how about we all split up and see what we can catch?" Goh suggested.
"Well, Clyde and the other three will have to stick with me. After all, I did promise their parents I'd keep an eye on them," Bobby reminded.
"And with five sets of eyes, we'd have a better chance of spotting more Pokemon," Rusty added.
"So how about we meet back at the office once we've had our fill of the Safari Zone?" Lincoln suggested.
"Sounds good. But remember to be careful," Misty warned, as everyone broke off to explore the Safari Zone on their own.
Alright you guys, I've got two new chapters for you here and now. I would've put them into one singular chapter, but what I've written is at least 80 pages long, and the word count was in the 10,000s, almost into the 20,000s. I'm uploading both chapters at the same time, so just so you're all aware.
