"Shadow, come quick as Mei's doing something you should see." Maria yelled.
Shadow then came into Mei's room, his eyes widening and mouth wide open as Mei was hovering above her crib, seeing fluffy lil wings impressing him and happy getting the toddler-cub to fly to him hugging her proudly making Maria take a photo of them knowing this was a good thing guessing she'd powers but Shadow was teaching her to retract them and reveal them, making Mei giggle which was sweet. "Dada." she said making Shadow's eyes widen in surprise like Maria when he cussed.
"Shadow, she said her first word and it's you. That's huge." Maria told him making him nod.
"Dada Shadow." Mei said making him choke up wiping tears away. "That's right I'm daddy the ultimate one and you're the ultimate cub." he told her unaware Maria was recording this sending it to Gerald which maxe him surprised but happy at how Maria and Shadow were raising her chuckling at Shadow saying he was the ultimate daddy and Mei the ultimate cub texting Maria making her smile as Mei was flying around getting strength on her wings as Shadow was watching proudly abd saw Sonic surprised seeing Mei flying around making Shadow chuckle.
"She grew her wings Sonic, and said her first words." Maria told him as Mei was landing on the floor hugging Sonic's leg which Maria and Shadow found cute as she knew Sonic was one of her uncles making Shadow wonder, what Sonic wanted showing up at his and Maria's house which waa a few blocks away from Tom and Maddie's house in case they needed them to watch Mei plus they weee planning a vacation to Tokyo hoping nobody would bother them if they went, plus Tom and Maddie were watching Mei while they were doing this but would bring Mei back gifts.
"Maybe they're right, we should put Mei in daycare or preschool, as she could use some friends, even if she's related to you." Shadow heard Maria say.
It was late night but Mei was sleeping after having playtime with her dad, flying outside with him watching over her, in case she got hurt or in danger but he and Maria had told her astory about an ultimate cub who had wings and powers who protexted Green Hills from harm which she loved so he and Maria were in bed remembering what Maddie had told her and Shadow about maybe putting Mei in school realising that would wait, until she was older
"Maybe when she's older, Maria when she can control her powers." Shadow said yawning, as he was exhausted plus earlier he'd been in Githam which Maria got hoping he'd be okay hearing whimpers as it was Mei going to check on her realising he'd forgotten to put on the nightlight doing that seeing her relax
