The purple car drives calmly along the road, William silently drives it, and Thomas reflects. He's thinking about how to ask carefully about Helen and the others. So that William would not guess that the boy knows everything.
Finally, a purple car pulls up to Mary Afton's house. Thomas sits quietly in the bushes and waits for the right moment. Mary herself is just coming out of the house.
- Hi, mom! - William smiles as he gets out of the car.
- Wil! My son! - mom hugs her son and says something else to him, but Thomas is no longer listening.
The boy gets out of the bushes and walks slowly towards the adults.
- Oh! Mr. Afton, Mrs. Afton, hello! - Thomas smiles, approaching the Aftons.
- Oh! Hello! You're Thomas, right? A friend of my grandchildren. - Mary remembered.
- Yes, it's me!
- Hi, Thomas. - William smiles.
- Thomas, are you in no hurry to go anywhere? Why don't you stay a little longer? I made a delicious pie there.
- No, I don't need to go anywhere! If you don't mind, I agree! And you, Mr. Afton?
- No, I don't mind at all. - William says, feigning a smile.

William, Mary and Thomas managed to talk about everything in the world, while sometimes joking. But no one talked about Naomi and other tragedies. Suddenly, William starts talking about the pizzeria.
- Tomorrow, new types of pizza will appear in the pizzeria, animatronics will be updated, and they will sing new songs and play new games, and there will also be a small carousel with animals. Thomas, can you come tomorrow? You can bring your friends with you. Mom, this also applies to you.

Thomas spent the whole day talking with his parents and walking outside. But nothing helped to throw away that answer from William. Because of this, Thomas did not even immediately notice that Spencer was not with him. He's alone. In the evening, the boy decided to write to Agnes.
"Hello. How are you doing there?"
The girl replied instantly.
"Hello. Mr. Devereaux showed everything to the police, and they said they would call him in for questioning. However, they cannot completely blame him, since there are few photos, and our guesses are guesses and nothing more. The least they can do is leave William as a suspect."
"And the axe?"
"The axe is under examination. They will determine whose blood is there."
Thomas is typing with trembling hands.

The year started off pretty well, and nothing remarkable happened. Everyone lived happily and peacefully, plus, Brian found out that Masha has crush on him. Of course, the love was not mutual, and Jeremy would have been very upset, but he did not want to offend the girl either, so Brian pretended that he did not understand the hints. Everyone continued to live as usual, and everyone was happy. Until today.
Russell Davis is missing.
The same high school student, who was rummaging through things in Professor Baldi's office, is missing. Five days ago, he was supposed to come home after school, but he never came back.
The whole school was in shock. This has never happened before, and many have already started a variety of rumors. Some say that Russell was kidnapped by a maniac, others say that the guy decided to leave the city, and others already believe that Russell simply committed suicide.
However, Brian knew that none of this was true. He was sure that the green notebook with the purple star was somehow connected. And Professor Baldi, too.
Recently, the teacher's behavior has become something... Strange.
He was still kind and sweet to everyone, however, at times he became irritable and tense. Lucy joked that it was just a demon taking control of his body, and that's why he was acting like this.
But Russell was saying exactly the same thing, and he wasn't joking. This also worries Brian, but he doesn't believe it. Demons and evil spirits don't exist, right? They're just in Jeremy's games. But still, why is the teacher behaving like this?
- Don't worry, he's worried about Russell too, that's why he's acting like this. Surely he can't behave cheerfully in such a situation, as if nothing had happened? - Tiffany was saying.
And Brian really wants to believe her.

Brian was walking down the hallway of the school. There are a lot of kids around, and everyone is fussing. Someone goes to the dining room, someone to the toilet, someone to the principal's office. However, Brian is thinking about something else.
What is written in that notebook? Where is it now? What if Russell found out something he shouldn't have known? The red-haired boy didn't really want to know the answers to these questions, but curiosity was tearing him to pieces.
The boy decided to go to the toilet in order to relieve himself. When he did, he was about to leave there, but suddenly he noticed something. There was something glowing in a very narrow crack behind the booth. Maybe a normal kid would just leave, but not Brian. Curiosity was stronger, and he reached for the thing. After several minutes, the boy managed to pull out a notebook. A green notebook with a purple star. The one that Russell stole from Professor Baldi. The boy was in shock. What is it doing here? How long has it been lying here? Had Russell left it here? But if it's him, then he couldn't leave it on purpose. Maybe it fell out of the backpack and the guy didn't notice it. Brian imagined Russell coming out of the toilet, and the notebook remains behind the stall and after a long time, the guy frantically searches for this book in his backpack, but does not find it there and has no idea where he might have dropped the notebook.

Brian, Ben, Jeremy and Masha were walking home together. Miranda got sick, so she stayed at home. The guys were walking and discussing something, and Brian was trying to find the courage to show his find. He was afraid that they might suspect him of Russell's disappearance.
- "Don't worry, they're not like that. They are your friends and they will never suspect you of being involved in Russell's disappearance." - Brian thinks to himself and finally decides. He silently takes out a notebook. At this time, Ben and Masha's eyes widen.
- Where... Did you find it? - Ben asks excitedly.
- In the toilet behind the stall. Apparently, it fell out there. - Brian answers.
- Russell stole it, didn't he? - Jeremy asks.
- He probably didn't notice that the notebook fell out and left. - Brian says.
- Okay, hide it. No one should know about it except us. And especially Professor Baldi should not know. This notebook belonged to the teacher, didn't it? - Ben said.
- I... I gave this notebook to Professor Baldi back in the first grade. I thought he got rid of it. - Masha says, and everyone looks at her in surprise.
- Why did you think he'd throw it away? - Jeremy asks.
- Well... Usually all my gifts are thrown away... - the girl answers sadly.
- But I didn't throw yours away! - Jeremy smiles, and Masha looks at him like a guardian angel. Her cheeks turn pink and she smiles. Brian and Ben have already moved a little further away and are giggling at the couple.

Brian opens his notebook and flips through it. Only half of the sheets are covered.
- Okay, let's read it at home and write me what's there. - Ben says, and Brian agrees.

Of course, it is not correct to read a personal records, but what if there is a possible reason why Russell could have disappeared? Or why Professor Baldi has been acting strangely lately. Brian stopped thinking and opened diary. You won't know until you open it.
Jeremy sat back and began to read too.

Dear diary, you were given to me by my friend's daughter, Masha. She is a friendly and kind girl. I will write down everything that happens in my life in you. Well, only if I don't forget about you. Then there were the same type of recordings. The boys found out that their teacher even tried to find a girlfriend, but they all refused him. Because of this, the man was upset, but did not lose hope. And then the recordings are interrupted, and the next one was dated in the summer of 2016.

Hello, dear diary! It's been six months since the last recording was made here. I completely forgot about you! Well, it doesn't matter. I am writing this while in the hospital. Yes-yes! He looked like a man, but there was no face, no clothes, nothing... He looked like a silhouette. He had white pupils, I think they were eyes, and there was some kind of shapeless darkness coming from him... He said if I shook his hand, he would save my life. And he really saved me! The doctors said I could have died, but suddenly my readings improved! I'm damn grateful to him! I hope I'll see him again..."
The brothers look at each other in silence. Which of them is crazy: them, their teacher, or the missing Russell? What is this silhouette with white eyes? He saved Professor Baldi's life... What if this unknown person is the answer to all their questions? The boys began to read on.
"July 2, 2016
I saw him again today... He praised me for not telling anyone about him. He also explained that he was trapped in darkness, and I helped him get out of there. Now he is attached to me and will help me with all my problems. He is very kind and loves sweets! He also did not give his name, as he does not remember, but allowed me to call him Roger. The guys are sitting in shock. They begin to quickly read the following entries. There, Professor Baldi talks about Roger, how he helps him, and so on. But at one point, the recordings turn into rather creepy recordings written in a very crooked handwriting.
"I do not know what to do... He starts controlling my mind and wants to do terrible things on my behalf... He tricked me... I tried to get rid of him somehow, but he's not going to leave... I'm scared..."
The next entry resolutely answers all the children's questions.
"If anyone ever finds this diary, then know that Roger is not who he pretends to be! He has already taken over my mind and is going to destroy the world soon! He is very dangerous! Please help me, I can't handle him!"
This was the last entry in this diary. Brian silently closes his notebook and looks at Jeremy.
- It turns out that Russell was right... Professor Baldi is controlled by a certain demon, and he wants to destroy the world. - says Jeremy.
- It seems that Russell read all the entries here, and the demon found out that it was Russell who stole his diary. And kidnapped him... - Brian continues.
- Sometimes the teacher gets possessed by this demon and therefore his behavior changes, but he tries not to show it... - Jeremy finishes.
- We need to tell our friends about this. And even try to help Professor Baldi. - Brian says.
- But how do we do it?
- We need to find out more information and come up with a plan. And I even know what we have to do...

Bella sent this message to Thomas. If she wrote with dots, it meant that something bad or important had happened.
"William wasn't even left as a suspect! They don't suspect him!"
"What?!"
Thomas was shocked by the news.
"In the photo where he takes Naomi away, he explained that he just showed her Bonnie, but backstage, and then she returned to the place. Someone else took her away, like. And where he's in a Spring Bonnie suit, he said he wasn't wearing a suit, and it was someone else. The suit was checked and another person's typos were found there! Can you imagine?!"
"Maybe someone put on a costume after him."
