Chapter 1
After the events of Quadratum, Sora is finally back home again, but things were far from over.
In Twilight Town a few days after Sora's return, Roxas, Xion and Naminé were showing Kairi and Aqua the old mansion, in the Bistrot, Sora was trying the new options that became available while he was gone, back at the mansion, Aqua and Xion started training in front of the mansion and Naminé was watching while Roxas was Showing Kairi the white room. It's when Roxas sees a watch that wasn't there before:
- Uh Kairi, is that yours?
No. – She replies as she takes the watch, she sends a message to Sora asking if he knew about that, it was interesting that this watch had only one button on it.
Kairi pressed the botton on the watch to see what would happen and everything went silent, she looked around and saw that time slowed until it came to a complete halt, nothing except for her was moving anymore, she looked at Roxas and he was unmoving, completely still as if a Stopza was cast on him, she looked at the window where Xion and Aqua were supposed to be training with Naminé watching, but all she saw was a bright light covering everything there, probably some attack from their training, she couldn't see anyone there due to the brightness hiding any sign of them being there, she presses the botton again but time doesn't return as she sees that Roxas was still frozen like a statue in the very same pose as before, absolutely useless currently.
Kairi then decides to get out of the mansion, she goes around the big ball of light covering completely the training and heads into the forest to go to the town. There were many heartless in the forest, but this wasn't a problem for her since none of them were moving at all, so she takes her chance and slash all of them while time is stopped, then she keeps going to the town.
Once Kairi arrives, it's easy to notice that everything was stopped here too, she walks for a bit until she's closer to the center, it's when she notices someone very familiar walking in the distance, a boy 16 years old with brown hair, the kid was wearing a black jacket and black shorts with some red in his outfit, but sadly for her he was paused too, even Sora was frozen in time!
- What kind of time magic is this? It is affecting an area way bigger than I ever saw any stop spell reach, i guess this is something bigger than i first tought – Kairi said to herself.
She looks at Sora and noticed him frozen in a walking pose in the middle of the tram rails right in front of an incoming tram, it looked like he was distracted looking at something on his phone so he probably didn't notice the tram right behind him.
- Oh boy... at least he's still our Sora.
Kairi grabs Sora's stiff form then drags him to the side of the rail, after doing that she looks at him again and has the great idea of taking the phone of Sora's unmoving hands, he was reading the message that she send him so that's why he was distracted, she opens the phone's menu, there were many games that he probably play, a bowser and a gallery, as Kairi opens his gallery and all she finds is a lot of photos of him with his friends, what did she expected? And also... a lot of Mickey-shaped objects for some reason.
-Oookay... didn't expect that, but still, what exactly happened and why everything is frozen...
- It's because the flow of time of this reality is stopped, so anything will be stopped, no matter the distance, neither their powers – Said a misterious voice.
Kairi then jumped in surprise:
- Who's there? I know that voice from somewhere...
She sees a man in a black coat with a hood standing in the top of the tram, then she continues talking:
- And if that is the case, how can i be moving?
- It's because you were touching the watch that in case you haven't noticed, it's connect to the another reality, one of them pauses the flow of time of this world, and the other resumes everything, a little trick my master invented to get someone that shouldn't have came back here, but one of the watches ended up here by accident making things a little harder for us.
Kairi then blocks a fireball than was suddenly towards her as the figure starts to speak again:
- You shouldn't be in our way, i can't fight here since the Master wouldn't like for me to accidentaly hurt our prize, that kiddo can't escape forever, haahahaha- as he vanishes.
- Prize? Is he talking about Sora? I have to do something about all of this.
Kairi then goes to Sora's statue again, she looks at his face, still so pure after everything that has happened, but now he's absolutely unaware of anything that was happening right in front of him, he saved her and their friends many times, he learned a lot about self love in Quadratum and was even capable of coming back by learning things himself with other people from there, but this time, was her turn to protect and save him for real this time...
