Welcome to the next chapter of RWBY: Team DUSK, before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:
Guest: Thanks. I'm happy to hear that the beach episode was great, it was lacking in the light novel, seeing as not everyone wanted to have fun on the tropical island. On top of the lime, between Daniel and Weiss. I'll keep on ensuring that it's a good chapter.
Anonymous: Well, I won't spoil a single thing. But, I am interested in what your thought is.
altajir95: Thanks. I'll continue doing that.
The Session, Pt. 5
On Sapang Island, yet another day passed, with those three teams waking up in the morning and some groggily preparing themselves. The first thing on their minds would be the breakfast brought to their respective rooms, of course, by the animal drone staff. However, in the room shared by Daniel, Ruby, and Weiss, Ruby was surprised to find the heiress cuddling with Daniel, which Weiss was flustered about after being mentioned. In the room where Yang was rooming with Blake and Sandra, the three found themselves sitting at the in-room table to eat.
"Ah, this place is awesome. I made some random requests for toppings on my pancakes and got them."
Yang replied, staring down at the large pancakes with a collection of sliced fruits as toppings, drenched in a new kind of syrup that she hadn't heard of.
"I can't believe how someone like you and Ruby can eat so much and not gain much weight," Sandra pointed out as she started with her morning coffee. "I can understand your sister, seeing as she runs around A LOT."
Sandra thought of the times when it looked as if Ruby couldn't remain in one spot, then looked on with shock as Yang took a big bite from the pancakes.
"Hm, I have good genes, I guess," Yang replied, almost mewling from the sweat taste that danced around on her tastebuds. "Plus, I do train too. I mean, I didn't get this body from doing nothing."
As if to exemplify her point, Yang posed in front of Blake and Sandra, both of whom stared at the blonde sharing a similar blank expression. After a moment of silence, the three enjoyed their meals without having a single complaint about the taste, sweetness, or texture.
"You know, I never thought this would happen."
Yang pointed out, catching their attention.
"Hm, what?"
Blake asked, after taking a bite of the fish breakfast that was surprisingly prepared too.
"Us three sitting here and talking like real friends."
Yang replied.
"And why's that? You're the one who roomed us three together."
"Oh, I don't know. How about the first time we met, you were rude, ignored me, and called my 'jugs'?"
Yang teasingly replied.
"Gah…."
Sandra reacted, almost coughing up her coffee recalling those moments where she was rude to almost everyone in their friend group at some point. Being reminded of that point almost made her flustered, and embarrassed by the things said yet everyone treated her no differently.
"Um, I'm sorry about that."
Sandra apologized, looking flustered at the thought.
"Oh, you're looking so adorable nowadays. I can't imagine our Blakey making a face like that."
Yang teased, causing Sandra's face to become brighter.
"And don't call me Blakey."
Blake could give no the response aside from that.
"Heh, well, I'm not blaming you for anything, Sandra. I'm just saying that it's odd how things play out sometimes, you can never guess what'll happen next."
Yang pointed out, still laughing as Sandra was looking nervous and flushed about that, but maintained a serious expression as much as possible.
"I never really thought that I would be able to sit down with anyone and have an actual conversation with them."
Sandra admitted, holding the plastic fork in her hands.
"I often heard that Vacuo is a tough place to live in. Is that the reason?"
Blake asked.
"It's part of it. In Vacuo, if you're able to survive you're accepted, but some there people develop a skewed sense of doing whatever it takes to survive," Sandra pointed out, as Yang and Blake listened. "I traveled alone through a harsh desert before making it to actual civilization until Vacuan Huntsmen found me at Coquina."
"Hah, you were alone that entire time?"
Yang looked surprised having heard that from Sandra, not hearing about what her past was like from Daniel and the others on Team DUSK. She wasn't alone as Blake found herself surprised to hear that. It wouldn't be the first time she heard something sad, having heard some stories from the members of the White Fang, including a story from a close friend. But, none of the Faunus she knew of were from Vacuo, most were born in Atlas and Mistral, two of the worst possible places for them to live.
"Yeah, from the time I was nine, almost ten."
Sandra revealed, causing them to look stunned.
"Y-You were nine?!"
Yang looked surprised to have heard about that from the person herself.
"And what about your parents…?"
Blake tried to approach things with some subtly.
"Well, I never really knew my dad and my mom never talked about him. And the whole me traveling through the desert alone was my mom's idea," Sandra looked to find the obvious expression of shock that could be seen on their faces. "I told you, Vacuo has different standards than others."
"But, just leaving your daughter alone like that is insane!"
Hearing those words caused Yang to tighten her fist as some emotions built up in her stomach, with her eyes all but turned a bright red. It was a surprising reaction from the blonde, who seemed the most emotional.
"Yang?"
Blake reflexively reached her hand out and placed a comforting hand on Yang's arm, causing her to realize what she had done.
"You don't need to get so mad for my sake, Yang. It doesn't matter anymore anyway."
"What do you mean it doesn't…," Yang asked, her eyes still red, but noticed the expression on Sandra's face that made her realize it and made her eyes turn back into their lilac color. "…oh. I'm sorry."
"…Sandra, I'm sorry."
Blake couldn't come up with any other response aside from that.
"It's fine. It happened a long time ago, but I guess that it still hurts to think about. If you think about it, if it wasn't for that then I wouldn't be standing there," Sandra replied, before looking forward. "And I would have continued to act like my mother in an attempt to keep a part of her with me. But, I realized that I was pushing back my identity to maintain hers. Or, at least, I was keeping up the personality that I thought she'd accept."
"…is that right?"
Yang asked under her breath, as if putting herself in the same position as Sandra whose mother did that, and in the end, couldn't interact with her anymore. Among her most intended goals in life was finding her birth mother to learn the reason she left her and their family.
"Come on, that face isn't like you, Jugs," Sandra teased, causing an instant reaction from Yang, who looked right up at her. "I never felt attached to Vacuo, all I knew was my mother and the tribe. I never had strong intentions of finding out who my dad was. So, I wanted to find somewhere that I could belong. …and I might have gotten a hint as to where that is."
Sandra said that last part under her breath, almost hinting at that emotion to them, but Blake could somewhat get the gist of what she said.
"Well, you'll always have a place with us. I mean, if you don't get bored of us."
Yang stated, smiling with her usual cheerfulness caused the two introverts to smile themselves.
"I doubt that, it seems as if things happen when we're doing the simplest things."
Sandra added, wearing a smile herself, as the three continued to eat their respective breakfast while having just a casual conversation. It was, of course, a surprising and ironic thing because these three didn't have the best first impression. But, there the three young women sat having a genuine and friendly conversation with one another.
After the people found themselves charged up for the morning, there was something that the group promised to do the next day. There was another place where their group was interested in seeing what the training facility was like in person. The three teams came to that agreement, having downloaded the map from their official site, then followed the directions on their Scroll.
Arriving there, the group found themselves standing in front of the training facility's entrance, which opened upon their presence. Upon entrance, they could of course see the animal drones running about and working with those who wanted to see the training room, but the numbers were fewer than the three teams. It didn't take long for the teams to receive proper instructions and rented three different training rooms each for their team.
In the training room rented by Team RWBY, the four women had already gotten straight into their sparring against their robotic opponents. All four were dressed in training attire brought instead of their combat attire, but armed with their weapons.
"Yah!"
Ruby let out a battle cry as she leaped and swung Crescent Rose at the first android armed with a polearm. It resulted in a small clash of weapons between them, with the android making some surprisingly decent actions to defend against her attacks. But, there was another fact that made this training doable for the four young women, it wasn't a single android. Almost a horde of androids were fighting Team RWBY, with them needing to fight and watch their backs at the same time.
"You know, I'm kinda surprised that we're not fighting animal drones."
Yang stated as she let out a flurry of punches into the first three androids, knocking them back with a good deal of force. She glanced around a couple of times to notice she and her teammates remained close to one another but still fighting against androids.
"Well, it would be inefficient for even their training facilities to have people fighting against animal drones instead of more 'human' shaped."
Blake stated, holding up her Gambol Shroud and its cleaver sheath, dual-wielding them against the androids who proceeded to crowd around her. She nimbly avoided the ones that came close to attacking her from behind with their weapons. Her comment about them not fighting against animal drones made sense to the three women who managed to catch onto that.
"Blake's right. Besides, machines or not, I really wouldn't feel comfortable attacking a small animal."
Weiss stated as she swiftly struck the androids in front of her with Myrtenaster, thrusting the point into it, and then swiped the rapier. She then avoided strikes from the androids by moving her body aside like a dance, not losing her balance.
It was something that caused the members of Team RWBY to continue fighting against the android horde, not losing their ground against them. The group was informed that the training rooms were modified to be durable, so there wouldn't be much damage from Dust. On top of that, damages done to the training androids were also to be expected. But, there wasn't enough space for them to do any big moves as the four women remained near one another.
It almost looked as if the training androids were adapting to their maneuvers, seeming to function on the same AI as most of the other animal drones function on, but not to the same level. Ruby couldn't use Petal Burst much, having almost no functional room to maneuver around much. So, that limited her to direct combat using Crescent Rose but managed to fend off the androids.
"Well, this is certainly more than I thought would happen for the first time," Weiss stated, as she swung her rapier and struck the android in front of her. After getting enough space, she twirled and then positioned Myrtenaster in the air before thrusting it into the ground. She created a glyph big enough to surround the group, before sending the surrounding androids into the air. "Maybe if 'someone' didn't put in some random settings, this wouldn't have happened."
"She's right, sis. You shouldn't have messed with that wall tablet."
Yang said, turning around with her arms behind her head and whistling innocently.
"Hey! Yes, I turned it on and touched 'some' things, but then you started pushing as many things as I did!"
Ruby countered.
"It's both you're fault!"
Weiss stated as the androids started returning to the ground, but then immediately starting back up armed with their respective weapons. It was that moment of reprieve that allowed Team RWBY to regain their bearings, and then stand side-by-side as a team.
"Well, this is an unexpected situation that'll make for a good experience."
Blake stated, thinking of the times she found herself in similar situations against androids. Of course, all of those times came as a terrorist fighting against Atlesian Knights and stealing Dust from them.
"I guess so. But, still…."
"Well, Daniel said that unexpected situations are the best for getting real experience. So, let's keep on working to get the groove that Team RWBY had back at the Emerald Forest," Ruby stated as she prepared Crescent Rose in her hands, Weiss sighed but then smiled too. She wasn't alone as Blake and Yang shared a similar smile on their faces. "Alright, Team RWBY! Let's go!"
At that, Team RWBY kept fighting against the training androids in front of them, this time with the partners both fighting together as a group. It would be the first step of the Vytal Festival which was split into four teams, then two, and then the single matches. So, their first step was getting used to fighting together as pairs before they got into fighting as a team. Due to their joint efforts the number of training androids that fought them in hordes all started dwindling.
After the training session ended, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang found themselves sitting down on the floor, with a good amount of sweat built up. Several breaths escaped from their mouth due to the amount of time spent simply fighting against the training androids. It took a couple of breaths and drinks from the water brought there before a relaxing breath escaped their mouths.
"Well, that was sure a workout."
Yang stated, almost feeling refreshed from working out like that.
If she had to be honest, she did plan on having a good time through their break, but fighting against androids like this made her happy to have listened to Weiss.
"But, we didn't need to fight against 'that' many."
Weiss stated, again not liking the fact their first training session was against that many training androids.
"Well, it worked out fine in the end, right?"
Ruby replied and asked, leaning closer and smiling at her partner, who glanced right back at her with a sideways glance. She couldn't help thinking about the maneuvers that their group made in combat against those androids as partners. Weiss couldn't help admitting that she and Ruby worked well together as partners in different ways, a lot of them, not in the manner she initially thought.
"Hm, I was wondering something."
"What?"
"What gave you the idea for your Myrtenaster?"
"Oh, well."
Weiss found herself picking up Myrtenaster from off the ground, her rapier that was close to silver, combined with revolving chambers similar to a six-chambered revolver; there was an addition of red shades that made the Dust shown seem almost red to those looking at a particular angle.
"My older sister, Winter uses a rapier, well they're dual rapiers that make up one. I got the idea from seeing her weapons," Weiss revealed as she held Myrtenaster in her hands. "I watched Winter training a lot and I saw how well our family's semblance worked with it. She let me use a practice rapier that she got from the Norden Family and told me to see if I could wield one. I tried for some time and I might not have been that good at first, but it felt comfortable in my hands."
"Ah, it reminds me of what inspired me to make Crescent Rose. Our Uncle Qrow's Harbinger, but I kinda sucked at using a scythe and he had to teach me A LOT about using one."
Ruby replied, recalling the first memory of seeing her uncle using his scythe, a rare weapon that few people have used before in combat.
"Well, I based Myrtenaster on Winter's swords, but I made improvements so it would become my original work," a smile formed on Weiss' face as she looked down at her beloved rapier as she held it up. "Winter said Myrtenaster was complex, but said that it was the perfect weapon that could be among the most memorable. But, of course, she said that a weapon is as good as the Huntress using it."
"Is that why you wanted to be perfect?"
Ruby asked, recalling she mentioned that before in the Emerald Forest.
"It's part of the reason. If I want to master a perfect weapon, I need to be perfect to use it fully," Weiss stated as she positioned the rapier in her hands. "But, I'm wondering if that's the right way."
"Well, you're still a first-year. So, I doubt that now's the time to be questioning yourself," Yang pointed out, raising her arms in the air and smiling. "You'll make mistakes, but that's the point of learning, isn't it? At least, that's what Dad used to tell us when we made mistakes in training. So, don't be so down on yourself, Weiss, you'll find what feels right for you."
Yet again, Yang showed off another hint of wisdom for the teammates standing around her.
"You're right Yang, which is odd to say."
"Yeah."
Weiss and Blake almost teased causing Yang to pout and stare at them, but Ruby had another reason.
"That was some awesome advice, sis!"
Ruby in a surprising moment moved and wrapped her arms around Yang in a moment without warning, causing her older sister's heart to almost melt.
"Heh, thanks sis."
Yang wrapped her arms around Ruby's back with a smile, rubbing her cheeks against hers.
"…."
In that instance, Ruby made an almost despondent look, which didn't go unnoticed by Yang, who placed her hands on her sister's shoulders and pushed her back a bit; all so that she would be facing her.
"What's wrong, Rubes?"
"Um, it's nothing. I know I said this to Jaune, but I do feel as if I'm not doing the things a leader should do a lot of times. I mean, the reason that we weren't arguing about what to do here was because of Daniel. I told Jaune that he couldn't afford to be a failure as a leader, but do I even know what it takes to be a good leader?"
Ruby replied, causing Weiss, Blake, and Yang to listen to her worries, glancing at one another before looking at their leader.
"Well, you're too immature. I'm honestly surprised that we made it this far."
"You're a bit childish and don't understand a lot of things."
"You're also a self-proclaimed weapon-obsessed weirdo."
"Ah, you're all so mean!"
Ruby shouted moving from her so-called best friend, teammate, and sister as if she'd wanted to run off without a second thought. But, stopped her by getting too close for her to even attempt to run off.
"Heh, come on, Rubes don't be like that."
Yang smirked, poking her sister's nose.
"You might not be a good leader yet, but we're not the perfect teammates yet either."
"Ruby, you're two years younger than us. And you're likely the only student in history to have been enrolled into a Huntsmen Academy at the age of fifteen. So, you have all the time to learn what'll make you a good leader. Don't try to compare yourself to Daniel."
"So, don't doubt yourself when you haven't failed yet, Rubes."
"Heh," Ruby giggled as her sister ruffled her head, with the members of Team RWBY sharing in the laughter too. "So, let's rest up and try another setting!"
[Alright!]
Feeling invigorated, the three agreed with Ruby about continuing with their training. There was no question it was obvious the reason Daniel was made the leader more often than not. And she did appreciate the things that he'd always do, but there were moments when she felt as if she wasn't measuring up as a leader. But, of course, learning that Daniel went into the actual work, living through real situations, and without help made her realize it didn't mean she wouldn't be a good leader herself in the future.
After the three teams finished their respective training sessions inside the Starhead Training Rooms, they chose to return to the hotel. Of course, among the many things in the hotel, there was a spa that the women among the teams decided to head to. In the facility, they could see that several women were there themselves dressed in the hotel's light clothes and robes for the different messages or services there.
"Ah, going to the spa after a workout is going to be awesome."
Yang happily said as she noticed the different services being provided by the robots there.
"I don't know about getting a message from a machine though."
Weiss thought, not knowing what to think about the cold and hard embrace from a machine.
"Hm, I don't think that the other people here are complaining about it."
Pyrrha noted, seeing that the people there weren't complaining about the services being provided. So, it meant that for them there wasn't a single issue with the machines giving them things such as massages and the like.
[So, what are our lovely guests looking for today?]
A female Flamingo Drone asked.
"Hm, messages for eight women."
Yang replied, having been a part of the agreement between the eight women there who had been training for the entire day. Plus, for them, it would be the first time that either of them had gotten something such as this, it also included Weiss. Despite being the Schnee heiress, she hadn't received something like a message, not that she wanted someone else to touch her body like that.
[Oh, wonderful. There just so happens to be an opening. Please follow me.]
At that, the female Flamingo Drone was leading the eight younger women to the room where the messages would now be held. It was during this the women could see the different sessions that were being held in this area, with them seeing the different possibilities for them. Arriving at the room, the eight women could see several spots where they could sit.
Standing in this particular message room were monkey-type androids with different figures, almost as if to suit their patron. But, from the impression, the women could somewhat notice that the androids seemed female based on design alone.
[Good evening, I would like to welcome you to our message room. Here, we'll be providing the usual messages and we'll do so based on your preferences and needs.] The main monkey drone, who looked like an orangutan stated kindly. [So, if you would be so kind as to disrobe and lay down on the massage tables, then we'll start.]
After that, the women disrobed revealing the simple white undergarments worn underneath which were provided by the spa facility to make the massage easier. As instructed the eight women sat down on their stomachs on top of the tables which were designed for comfort.
"Huh, well this is going to be a first for me."
Pyrrha stated, speaking through the face cradle.
"Heh, same here. I never thought that I would ever get a massage."
Nora replied, kicking her feet back and forth.
"Heh, unless it came from Ren, right?"
Alyssa teased as Nora's cheeks turned red, but her smile didn't fade.
"Heh, that would be something wouldn't it?"
Nora asked back, not expecting a response, not that she would even hear one because of the fantasy playing out in her mind at the moment.
"So, I take it that you and Nora have started talking to each other more?"
Sandra curiously asked.
"Yes. I'm surprised that I got to learn a lot more about Nora and Ren than I somewhat did," Alyssa replied, thinking back to the conversations she had with Nora and Ren last night. "Also, I didn't think that I would learn a certain hammer-wielding ginger often says some cute things in her sleep."
"Oh really. I do?"
Nora asked, almost amused by those words.
"Nora, I tried telling you that before. You do often speak in your sleep and say some things often."
Pyrrha replied, almost smiling at the thought of her teammate not listening to something so basic, but seemed to be about them.
"So, what does Nora say? Is it embarrassing?"
Ruby curiously asked.
"Yes, what do I say in my sleep?! Is it about Ren?! Is it about pancakes?! Oh, is is about the bear riding a unicycle in the middle of a blizzard, wearing a party hat, and playing the accordion?! Please tell me! Oh, I gotta know!"
Nora replied, almost unable to contain her curiosity and bursting with unrestrained energy and imagination, which hadn't changed since the first time they met.
"Well, it was about you eating an entire castle made of pancakes with fountains of syrup."
Alyssa replied, almost amused from saying that.
"Ugh, I can feel my teeth hurting about that."
Sandra stated, imagine a castle made of pancakes with syrup fountains.
"Also, I was the one who told you about the dream with the bear riding the unicycle and playing the unicycle that next morning," Pyrrha informed giving a kind smile. "It was because you couldn't describe the instrument it was playing. I almost thought you weren't paying attention since you looked half-asleep, but it sounds as if you could still somewhat recall it."
"Hahaha. Oh, now I think I remember."
Nora's laughter caused the others to join in, almost as if the laughter itself was contagious.
"But, it was surprising to hear that Nora and Ren have traveled around together as children."
Alyssa stated, recalling the conversation that she had with them, of course, it wasn't the entire story and she had enough awareness to realize that.
"Yeah, Ren and I went from place to place around Mistral, but not really the lower parts like Daniel said. Both of us have been through a lot together, but I'm happy that we made friends here."
Nora sounded as if she was the happiest in this instance as she made friends that she and Ren could talk to like this without any concerns.
"Same, the closest thing that I have ever had was Yang."
Alyssa stated, noting that for the longest time before Beacon Academy, the one person she could call her closest friend was Yang.
"What about me?"
Ruby asked, pointing to herself.
"A friend's sister. Besides, you never went along with my simple requests. And it always hurt my feelings."
"You wanted to dress me up in different clothes, then take pictures to embarrass me."
"But, they were so cute. And Yang agreed with me."
"Oh, that cat outfit was sooo cute. I think I still have that back in our old room."
"I thought I got all of them!"
Ruby sounded surprised that there were still some pictures remaining, causing the others to laugh at the three's banter about the past.
[Now, we'll be getting started, dear patrons.]
The Orangutan Drone informed, causing them to notice the monkey android positioning themselves at their eight respective clients, who seemed to start preparing themselves for the contact. It looked as if the androids held up a bottle of massage oil in their hands, then systemically opened and positioned it above their backs.
[…!]
On reflex, the eight women simultaneously flinched feeling the cold sensations on their backs. But, the biggest of surprises came from the androids placing their supposed metallic hands on their back.
"Huh, are these supposed to be metal hands?"
Yang asked.
"They feel rough, but not cold."
Weiss added her thoughts.
"It doesn't feel weird, but it feels a little odd."
Blake thought that the sensation and coldness of metal almost felt nonexistent in these androids' hands, making all of them almost too curious about their creation.
But, those thoughts almost became non-existent themselves as the androids started the massages, their current focus being on the women's backs. Neither of them experienced a massage before, but the android's fingers were pressing down with a good deal of strength, but not enough to cause pain or discomfort. From the massage oil being spread and the smell of incense, the eight young women felt their bodies relaxing and the tension of their muscles decreased.
"Ah~ Oh my god, this feels amazing~"
Yang almost moaned as the tension in her muscles decreased.
"This is quite nice~"
Weiss couldn't complain as she felt an amazing pressure.
"It's so weird, but it feels great~"
Sandra couldn't stop herself from feeling something amazing.
[It's good to hear that you all are enjoying yourselves. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe our female patrons are Huntress-in-Training.] After receiving confirmation from them with a thumbs up, the Orangutan Droid nodded her head. [I thought so, the muscles of your body are far more developed than a normal female. But, Huntsmen should pay more attention to their body and health. A lot of research was put into the services and massages, we implement massages that provide relief and benefits. I hope that it'll provide some aid for your future.]
At those words, the young women could understand the science behind it, but their minds couldn't process all of it. But, it started making sense as the monkey droids started starting the muscles that the women seemed to use the most and others that would help them.
"Um, guys there is something that might have changed between Jaune and I."
Pyrrha stated, causing their attention to be directed at the redhead.
"Oh, a message and gossip, this just gets better and better."
Yang stated, being interested in what she heard.
"So, what happened?"
Alyssa asked.
"Um, well, I guess that since Jaune saw me in my swimsuit before. I think that might have caused him to see me in a different light. Plus…."
Pyrrha started, with her face turning bright red from the thought of something else.
"Pluuus?"
Yang asked almost in anticipation of what would happen next.
"Um, yesterday, when we were playing together yesterday, Nora kinda pushed Jaune into me by accident and I'd tried catching him a the last moment. …and then Jaune…fell into…," Pyrrha replied, seeming to become flushed from thinking about what happened. "…my chest."
""Ooooh.""
Yang and Alyssa seemed to reply teasingly, not helping Pyrrha in feeling less embarrassed than she already was.
"Well, I'd call that some progress. I'd kinda imagine that brought out whatever feelings weren't there before."
Sandra noted, knowing that Jaune might not be the easiest person to notice someone's attention.
"…I know, but it was so embarrassing."
Pyrrha groaned thinking about what happened.
"But, this is a good step, isn't it?"
Weiss asked, knowing the feelings that Pyrrha had for Jaune and how much she wanted him to notice them, an emotion that the heiress could relate to.
"Yeah."
Pyrrha replied.
"Well, then should I do it again?!"
Nora asked excitedly, almost happy that she managed to help.
"No, that's fine, Nora."
Pyrrha instantly replied, not wanting that to happen again, even if it turned out to be effective.
"Well, let's see what happens now. So, let Jaune come to terms with what happened and plan out another…," Yang paused at something else that happened during the massage. "outtinnng."
She felt the android's hands beginning to vibrate causing an instant reaction from vibrations that was focused on her leg muscles.
[A good amount of focused vibrations would help too.]
The Orangutan Droid replied, causing them to realize what was going to happen next.
[Aaaaah~!]
The others groaned, almost moaning from what was included in the massage, causing their minds to almost be all but relaxed from the sensation. And it continued, the women almost felt as if they were floating on clouds.
"Huh, so that happened?"
Daniel asked, the person being asked that question turned out to be Jaune.
Like the women, the four young men in the group left for the male spa, finding themselves sitting inside a sauna instead of a massage table. Daniel, Hunter, Jaune, and Ren sat in the wooden room with towels wrapped around their waists. As the sauna was filled with steam, raising the temperature, the young men had sweat pouring from their pores. But, this didn't stop them from sharing a casual conversation. Similar to Pyrrha, the blonde friend was sharing what happened with his redhead partner.
"I am sorry about that. Nora was going after me and you happened to move in front of me."
Ren apologized, with Jaune scratching his head.
"No, you don't need to apologize," Jaune stated, letting a breath escape from his mouth. "But, man. I still feel as if I need to apologize to Pyrrha. I was embarrassed by that entire thing, but it would've been worse for her."
"Hm, well this is Pyrrha we're talking about. It wasn't intentional, so I doubt that she'd hate you about it," Daniel stated, leaning back as he stretched his arms. "Right, Hunter?"
'Yeah, she wouldn't react negatively about something like this if it was an accident. She once forgave a student at Sanctum Academy for almost hitting her with their spear after getting knocked out of their hand.'
Hunter signed, which Daniel translated.
"Is there anything that Pyrrha wouldn't forgive?"
"Well, I do think that it might be the first time Pyrrha considered breaking someone's legs after Cardin had bullied in front of all of us," Daniel replied, before turning to Jaune with a teasing smirk. "Of course, I'm sure her partner blowing her off for a while didn't make it better."
"Please don't remind me of that. Just thinking about it makes me feel worse."
Jaune groaned thinking back to that moment when he wasn't sure about being a leader or feeling as if he didn't belong at Beacon Academy, then felt better as Daniel patted his back.
"I'm sorry. She didn't hate you even then, she was just worried about you."
"Yeah, if there ever was anyone closer to a saint then it'd be Pyrrha. A superstar anyone would want to be around helping a loser whose family didn't believe that he could be a Huntsman chose to help him just because. Huh, it almost as feels as if I used up years of luck just for that."
Jaune stated, almost laughing at the thought of the irony of the weakest student getting help from one of the best students possible.
"Heh, it wasn't just because. I mean, this is Pyrrha, she'd help anyone. But, with you, she saw that you had great promise that turned out to be true seeing as 'someone' has large amounts of aura despite not training or knowing what aura even was. Also, you led three trained people against a Death Stalker and acted based on the situation which is what I'd call talent," Daniel said, causing Hunter and Ren to nod their heads in agreement as Jaune was flushed about the compliments. "My uncle always used to say that the person who everyone thinks is untalented has talent that no one can see. But, this time around Pyrrha saw it before anyone else."
"Hahaha, right. And I can't let those expectations go to waste," Jaune looked determined to ensure that everyone who believed in him wasn't proven wrong. But, then the particular incident returned to his mind. "But, guys what am I going to do about Pyrrha."
"What happened at the beach doesn't have to change how you interact with Pyrrha."
Ren stated, with Hunter cosigning with thumps up as if agreeing with him.
"They're right, it doesn't have to change 'everything'. I mean, it's not like you two kissed by accident," Daniel said, with Jaune thinking about what if that was the case and caused him to blush deeply. "Alright, alright, cool down before you overheat. Come on, Jaune takes things slow and doesn't overthink things, then ends up saying something that really will make things awkward."
"Alright, I'll just take things and don't say anything that'll make things worse."
Jaune breathed and wanted to ensure that things didn't escalate to a degree that he wasn't prepared for. Or even damage the relationship that he treasured with Pyrrha. But, all without Jaune's knowledge, his three friends right in that instance shared a single agreeing nod as things progressed. After that, the four young men decided to just relax and enjoy the rest of their time in the sauna.
Reuniting with the eight young women of their group, the refreshed men were surprised to find them almost on cloud nine or experienced something enlightening. But, the young man managed to learn that it was caused by whatever type of massage they received. It reached the point where the group decided to return to their rooms until they calmed down from their experience, lasting until it was close to nighttime. Having come down from that enlightening spa visit, the eight women were each surprised about the results.
But, at the same time, they had never felt any better almost as if they just had days worth of sleep, then woke up refreshed. It even felt as if the women would return to training right then and perform to the absolute best of their abilities without trouble. However, the group simply chose to relish the lingering relaxation that remained until their third day passed on the island.
On the fourth day, the group returned to the beach, this time dressed in different swimsuits which still caught the sight of some people. For Jaune, seeing Pyrrha in another swimsuit seemed to have caught his attention, which sparked hidden glances, smiles, and thumbs up from their friends, like Yang, Daniel, and Alyssa. Instead of going out into the water, the members started to break apart to see what else was there to do.
Hunter found himself sitting around and seeing the different people who gathered at the beach to either enjoy the scenery or have fun, no different from them. As he walked around the beach, feeling the sand on his feet, unknown to him there was someone following behind.
"Hm, I wonder what we'll be doing next. It felt good going to the sauna. I haven't gone to one before. I wonder if Mom will like the photos we took. Maybe we can come…."
As Hunter thought that, he was surprised and almost jumped as soon as someone's arm wrapped around his.
He turned his head around to find Neo standing with him and smiling.
"…."
"…."
He was confused about why she approached him, but noticing how close she was to him to the point where her chest pressed against him made him blush. More so, as he noticed her wearing a black bikini that showed off her body, which looked to be mixed with pink.
'Hello.'
Hunter signed with his free hand and it seemed as if she could understand that.
After that, she stepped from Hunter, then started making a series of hand and body motions. But, oddly enough, among the things that he learned from his father was understanding body language. She then pointed to herself and then pointed at Hunter with a smile.
'So, you want to do something together?'
Hunter signed as Neo nodded her head, she then stepped aside positioning her hands as if she was presenting something there. Behind her, there was the super jet ski banana boat, which was a motorized banana boat and it seemed as if she wanted to ride it with someone. And because Hunter looked to be the only one who could understand her, it meant he was it.
"…," Hunter thought about it as Neo looked at him waiting for a response, then smiled a bit. 'Okay.'
"…!"
At that, Neo clapped her hands together while making a pose and started skipping to the jet ski banana boat.
"…."
Hunter was almost confused about what was happening at the moment, before looking around to see whether or not his friends were around to tease him. After confirming they weren't and not wanting to be rude, he started to head in the direction of Neo. But, then stopped and looked at her for a moment.
'Um, what's your name?'
Hunter signed, asking that question.
"…?"
Neo looked around, getting into a thinking position, then found a stick on the ground, before starting to write into the sand. Hunter looked to find that she was writing her name, or alias in this situation: Camille Creme.
'Well, nice to meet you, Camille.'
Hunter signed before extending his hand for the stick to write, which Neo gave him, then wrote his name: Hunter Upson. After that, the two who became acquainted with one another, decided to start riding around on the banana boat. But, Hunter rode in the front as Neo wanted him to be the one driving around, as she remained in the back. As he was getting acquainted with the controls, Neo was still sitting in the back, finding herself thinking of the reasons this was happening.
Arriving there, Neo got acquainted with the inner workings and structure of the base through her semblance, but she had to be careful. She learned much about what was happening around this island, being well aware of the issues between them and Roman. But, Neo was aware she couldn't pour her full attention, as it would be weirder if a supposed teenager wasn't enjoying their vacation.
And through some coincidence she'd become acquainted with Hunter, someone who was there on vacation too, giving her a reasonable alibi. So, he was a convenient person to….
"Got it."
"…!"
Hunter managed to start the jet ski banana boat, making it speed forward almost making Neo lose her balance a bit. She forced herself forward, wrapping her arms around Hunter's waist, and caused her breasts to then be pressed against him.
"…!"
It caused Hunter to blush from what he felt on his back but then felt a harder impact from Neo slamming her fist on his back. He was smiling wryly, feeling apologetic about what happened, and couldn't see that the passenger behind him was pouting. No matter, Hunter still rode around on the motorized banana boat with Neo holding onto him and seemed to enjoy the ride.
As Hunter and Neo were doing that, Weiss and Blake were sitting underneath the umbrella and in a beach chair; the white-haired heiress wore sunglasses and drank a tropical drink and black-haired Faunus was reading. They weren't alone as Alyssa and Sandra lay down on the beach blanket wearing relaxed expressions. Seeing these four beautiful young women sitting on the beach caused several men to have their attention directed at them, but the four ignored the attention on them.
The members of Team JNPR were having a volleyball match further from the group, an idea that their boisterous hammer user energetically suggested. It ended up being boys versus girls, with Nora holding the volleyball in her hands, tossing it into the air, with Pyrrha leading up to knock it toward the boys' team. The first to move was Ren who moved to push it up with his arms, sending it up for Jaune to knock it to the girls' team. That back and forth between them continued, but it seemed as if the girls' team started having the advantage.
At the beach, Ruby and Yang decided to take a simple walk around the beach near the water together, with the sisters relishing in the quiet. Most notably, the two were wearing shorts that went well with their colors. It was the first time that they took a trip outside of Patch, with heading out to Vale being the closest thing to leaving home.
"Hm, it's insane that we're here, right Rubes?"
Yang stated, looking at the ocean.
"Yeah, I wonder what Dad would think seeing this place."
Ruby wondered.
"Well, he said that he went around himself as a Huntsman. So, let's show off the photos that we took."
"Yeah, that sounds good. It was so fun hearing the places that Dad and Uncle Qrow went around as Huntsmen. It always made me curious about seeing the other kingdoms too."
"Same. You know, I always wanted to explore the world and experience as many insane adventures as possible."
"Yeah."
After a while, the sisters stopped moving and simply took a seat to see the ocean's movements in front of them, which was a good spot.
"You know, Rubes, I was so surprised to hear that you ended up getting enrolled into Beacon Academy with me too. I thought I would be the third-year student who would have to look after her cute little sister, then beat away all the guys interested in her."
"Yang~"
Ruby seemed to complain as her older sister wrapped her arm around her and brought her closer into a hug; but not the usual one that would make it hard to breathe. But, she could feel how much pride Yang had in her, more so from their interactions in the Bullhead heading to Beacon.
"But, I could tell that Dad was a bit worried that you were coming two years early, and with guys there too. But, he knew that I would be there to back you up too."
"Yeah, I wonder what Dad would think about us somewhat getting involved with criminals in our first year. It hasn't been the first semester yet."
"Heh, he'd probably be a mix of proud and worried. I doubt that any dad would be proud of their daughter getting involved with criminals. Plus, the same guy too."
"Yeah, Torchwick."
Ruby said, thinking about the last time that the man shot her with his weapon.
"Ah, don't worry, we'll get him later. If the Huntsmen don't get to him first."
Yang stated, seeing that Ruby was frustrated from the last confrontation the two had before.
"I wonder if we're getting too ahead of ourselves in dealing with people like Roman."
"Hm, yeah. I can see that, we're still first-years getting involved with criminals. Plus, there's the fact that he's also involved with the White Fang. So, this might get more dangerous than what our team can handle. Blake and Dani thought it was weird that those groups were working together."
"It makes me wonder what will happen with them."
"Well, whatever happens, Team RWBY is always coming to come out up top."
"Heh, of course."
At that, Ruby found herself resting her head on her sister's shoulder, causing Yang to glance right at her sister for a moment before smiling. Both wanted nothing more than to relish in this moment of doing the one thing that the two dreamed about doing as children. Yang was sitting down on the beach with her little sister and friends, there wasn't a single thing she could complain about.
"Hey, ladies."
After a couple of minutes of silence, someone's voice caught their attention. Yang was the first to look up and see three Faunus standing there. She could see that the leader was a Lion Faunus with lion ears, his friend was a Tiger Faunus with a tail, and a Bull Faunus with horns. Seeing them, she and Ruby stood up to their feet, with the younger sister remaining by her older sister. From looks alone, Yang could tell that the young men were quite the handsome bunch with well-built physiques, but they weren't her type.
"Yes."
Yang replied, not wanting to sound rude, but that might end soon depending on how things go.
"Well, we were just walking around bored before noticing you two sitting here doing nothing. And decided to see if you wanted to have some fun with us."
The Lion Faunus said, sounding confident in himself.
"Well, I was just sitting around with my sister enjoying the beach. Thanks for the consideration, but we're fine."
Yang stated, keeping her cool.
"Come on, you're on a beach alone and sitting around. I know a lot more stuff that you and your sister could be doing. So, why don't you two come and join us for some fun?"
"…."
Ruby started feeling uncomfortable hearing those words, something which Yang felt as she could feel her grip on her arm tightening ever so slightly. And it was that slight action that caused the blonde's lilac eyes to almost turn a deep red, surprising them.
"Look, I'm trying to be nice. But, if you keep bothering us. I'm going to…."
As Yang was going to threaten them in the same way as she did to Junior the last time they met, there was one more person who arrived.
"Hey, what's going on here?"
It was Daniel standing there looking at what was happening here with some mild concern, staring at the Faunus, on top of how nervous Ruby looked.
"Daniel."
Ruby called out, sounding much happier than before.
"…Dani," Yang felt a similar feeling as her red eyes turned back to their lilac color, soon a sudden idea came to mind, causing her to smile. "Bae~"
"…?"
Daniel was almost surprised as he noticed Yang 'running' to him 'scared', then wrapped her arms around his right arm. He didn't show the slightest hint of resistance as she started doing this in front of the guys who seemed to have been harassing them. It didn't take Daniel long to realize that Yang was playing the part of his girlfriend in an attempt to undermine them.
"What's wrong," Daniel asked, sounding concerned, then turned serious yet calm eyes toward the direction of the three Faunus. "Hey, were you guys bothering my girlfriend?"
"Yes, they were being mean to me and Ruby when we were minding our business."
Yang replied, sounding as if she was feeling sad. But, on the inside, she was trying her hardest not to laugh at the act that she was putting on. She then tried not to blush too much as she felt Daniel wrap his arm around her waist to further comfort and showcase their closeness.
"…."
Although Ruby was aware that it was a ploy to get the men to leave, it still didn't stop her from pouting. She then walked over to Daniel and Yang standing beside them, continuing with the act.
"Look, we didn't know that she was seeing someone. I mean, seeing a beautiful girl with a figure like that would get anyone's attention."
The Lion Faunus tried ending things there.
"Yeah, you should be more careful. Unless someone steals her away."
The Tiger Faunus added.
"Right."
The Bull Faunus finished.
"Ah, I don't need to be worried about that. Unlike most, I know how to treat a woman like a woman, instead of an object to be taken," Daniel said, speaking in such a tone that it almost caused Yang's heart to flutter. "But, you are right, I guess. I'll be careful if someone is going to continue bothering my girl. But, does that mean I'm going to have to make an example out of someone?"
Daniel said that last part with a strong and definite tone, making them feel the seriousness behind those words. It made the three Faunus who felt as if they were alpha males feel as if they met someone who could challenge them for that claim and win. Daniel could see that the men were considering those words carefully based on what he saw from their animal ears and tails.
"A-Alright, we'll be going."
The Lion Faunus said, with his two friends following behind him at a quick pace.
Daniel and Yang remained in that same position as the men kept taking some glances back, almost as if to wonder if they were girlfriend and boyfriend; not that either of them were all that intuitive. At that, Yang turned around, intimately wrapping her arms around Daniel, then moving to kiss him deep on the cheek. And that solidified their 'relationship' with the three running off.
"Well, that was something."
Daniel said, blushing at what Yang did.
"Heh, I did put up a believable performance."
Yang stated, smiling at what happened, but blushing herself about what she did.
Among the things she and Daniel did, she kissed him before, being the first time that she did that, and thinking of the feeling of having his arm around her. She fought hard to not show how red her face turned from doing those kinds of things in front of someone she wasn't even dating.
"You sure did, sis."
Ruby stated, sounding jealous, causing Daniel and Yang to share a similar look.
"Aw, no need to sound like that."
"Right, Rubes."
At that, both Daniel and Yang joined in on 'consoling' Ruby, ranging from rubbing her head to rubbing and pinching her cheeks. It started reaching the point that she was aware that the two were teasing, causing her to pout as she waved her hands around.
"Alright, stop it, stop it!"
Ruby stated, causing them to laugh at her reaction.
"Alright, alright. Hm, this is a good spot," Daniel said, noting that Ruby and Yang had been sitting here for a long time to appreciate the scenery. "So, wand to take a group photo?"
Daniel asked, pulling out his Scroll.
""Yes!""
Ruby and Yang replied.
"Alright, come together."
At that, Daniel helped up the Scroll at a distance from himself as Ruby and Yang came in close beside him, with the sisters smiling happily. He took the photo causing a white flash, with them pulling back to glance at the photo that seemed to turn out well.
"Send it to our Scrolls later. If you're lucky I might make it my wallpaper."
Yang stated, smiling.
"Heh, do whatever you want."
"Heh."
Ruby laughed, feeling happy about taking that photo with Daniel and Yang.
"Hm?"
Daniel seemed to react to feeling 'something' off.
"What's wrong?"
Yang asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Kyaa!"
At that moment, the sound of a woman screaming caught their attention, making the three turn their heads to see her pointing at the ocean. The three then shockingly saw a series of crustacean-type Grimm coming right out of the ocean of varying sizes, with their white exoskeleton, legs, and claws.
"Carcinus! It's a cast of Carcinus!"
Someone shouted out, recognizing the Grimm that came from the ocean, which then started coming out in much higher numbers.
"Why are Grimm showing up?!"
Yang shouted confused about the sudden appearance of Grimm.
"I haven't seen these types before."
Ruby said, looking stunned before Daniel exclaimed.
"Ruby start getting the people to evacuate! You're faster than either of us with your semblance and could get them out of harm's way faster!"
"Alright!"
Ruby could see the reasoning behind it, then started heading out to start heading out to the others with Petal Burst, leading them to a safer location. From this angle, Daniel could see that their friends and teammates all started to move having noticed things progressed into this abrupt Grimm attack. Of course, none of them were armed with their weapons or gear which were stored in their hotel rooms. A lot of their fighting styles relied on their weapons, leaving them to focus on evacuation.
"Yang, let's deal with as many as possible!"
"Alright!"
Yang agreed, bringing her fists up.
Neither Daniel nor Yang had their weapons either, but it didn't matter as the two were as effective without them in the first place. After engaging their auras, the two started rushing at the much larger Carcinus that appeared on the sand. Yang punched the Grimm's exoskeleton, while Daniel kicked it, knocking it back a bit, with the smaller ones started to converge on them. It caused the young man to start stomping on and breaking their far immature exoskeletons, causing them to burst into black smoke.
"Ugh, these things are too small to deal with."
Yang complained as she started kicking away the smaller Carcinus.
"Right! Yang, up!"
Yang turned to see Daniel linking his hands together, making her realize what he had in mind. She didn't hesitate to run straight for him, leaping in Daniel's linked hands, who then launched her in the air. Just as that happened, the smaller Carcinus gathered around Daniel, but he didn't look worried as runes manifested in his hands.
"Daniel!"
Just then Weiss arrived, pointing her finger at Daniel, then made a hand gesture as a glyph manifested under his feet. At that, he looked thankful to Weiss, before 'enchanting' the runes into the glyphs, causing a mix of wind and flame to circle it, turning into a small fire tornado that burned the smaller Carcinus surrounding him.
"Thanks, Weiss!"
Daniel called out as he appeared from the fire tornado, who gave a faint smile.
He then noticed that most of his team and friends came together with impromptu weapons in their hands. Yang then came down and slammed her fist on the bigger Carcinus, causing it to buckle on the ground.
"Dani, there's a kid in the water!"
"What?"
Daniel looked surprised as Yang pointed into the water where the kid was supposed to be.
"Yeah, a mother said that she couldn't find her son! She said that she think he might've snuck back to swim."
Ruby stated, informing him about that.
"Hunter and the girl he's with are too far to get him. I saw a dark shape in the water and I think it's a Grimm."
Yang said, getting their attention.
Daniel looked around to find a jet ski that looked to have been abandoned.
"I'll go and get the kid," Daniel said before starting to run off with the jet ski to get the kid, he then turned around for a bit and pointed his fingers at the impromptu weapons in their hands. "This might help!"
At that, the group could see that runes appeared on some of their weapons, meaning that they all received some kind of enchantment. It didn't take long for Daniel to reach the jet ski, which was still somewhat in the water, then started up the engine. He sped off in the direction that Yang pointed at, going as fast as possible to get the kid before anything happened.
Daniel saw that Hunter and 'Camille' were a fair distance from the child in the ocean, seemingly on a raft that he was riding on. He was pushing the jet ski as much as possible to reach the kid, but he could see a Grimm in the water, Daniel noted a black dorsal fin poking out of the water, a Grimm Shark.
"Wah, mom, someone, help!"
They looked to be panicking, but too scared to move and didn't want to get into the water. It turned into a race that involved Daniel and the Grimm Shark, both of which charged straight for the child for their two different purposes. Before reaching the kid, Daniel titled the jet ski, while drifting and grabbing onto the kid by the waist, just as the big Grimm Shark leaped out of the water in an attempt to devour him.
"Alright, get behind me."
"O-Okay."
The kid got in the seat behind Daniel, who sped off as the Grimm Shark chased behind them. It started speeding up behind them, making ferocious biting motions at them. A shark and a Grimm was a dangerous combo, similar to a shark being drawn to fish's blood in the water, this shark was drawn to the child's fear. Just then, the Grimm Shark felt several impacts on its back from behind that pierced it. Daniel took a discrete look to see it was from Hunter attacking it from that distance.
Similar to others, Hunter didn't have his bow or arrows, but he had his semblance and training. For Neo, the thing she witnessed was the first thing that she had ever seen someone do. As he kept driving behind the Grimm Shark, it was a situation she wouldn't realistically be part of. Neo wasn't an average or inexperienced person, but Camille was a simple Huntress-in-Training on vacation. So, she needed to play the part.
"…."
But, she didn't expect to see what Hunter could do. It was a simple gesture that no one would think of as special, he didn't do anything aside from run his hand through the water, and then toss the water into the air. But, the surprise came in the form of the water droplets turning into projectiles that pierced the Shark Grimm without losing their momentum. All of Hunter's hits were accurate, almost without a single one missing. It, of course, had to be due to a Semblance, but Neo of all people was aware of the kind of accuracy required for this.
"Alright, let's settle this," Daniel stated, knowing that he couldn't keep running from the Shark Grimm forever, then he turned around to reassure the kid. "It's going to be alright. Don't worry. Just close your eyes and don't panic."
"O-Okay."
Daniel used the same runes that he used on Blake's ribbon to ensure the kid wouldn't fall off, then turned around as the Grimm Shark looked to be preparing to charge. He didn't hesitate to charge straight for the Grimm Shark, which did the same thing. Daniel retrieved the black pocket knife that he kept in his pocket, then prepared it with his aura focused on the knife and adding in as many basic enchantments as possible.
As the Grimm Shark leaped into the air to bite them, Daniel prepped the jet ski, then made a sharp turn, swinging the knife in his hand. It was then that a blue crescent slash was released from the blade, horizontally splitting the Grimm from the mouth.
"And this is why I never go anywhere without a knife."
Daniel uttered under his breath so that the kid didn't hear this.
He looked to notice that Hunter was approaching him with a disguised Neo still riding behind him and looking as natural as possible, which didn't go unnoticed by Daniel.
"Kinda a wild first date, right," Daniel asked, with Hunter blushed deeply and couldn't come up with a response, then noticed his partner holding out his fist. "Well, thanks for having my back, partner."
"…."
Hunter smiled at that, with him and Daniel fist-bumping, before heading back to see what was happening back at the beach.
Returning to the beach, Team RWBY, JNPR, and DUSK, not counting Daniel and Hunter had the big Carcinus on the ropes. To keep one of its enlarged armored claws at bay, Blake wrapped a rope she found around, keeping it closed, Nora, Ren, and Jaune helped keep it back. All while the others kept on attacking the Carcinus with their impromptu weapons which received basic enchantments. It was much harder to damage it with basic weapons, but the runes and glyphs made it easier. Based on appearance alone, the Carcinus has a strong exoskeleton and almost none of the weapons could dent it.
But, there were two people that the teams could place their bets on, the two blonde women who kept fighting the Grimm barehanded. Both their semblances based on appearance alone give them the kind of strength that can break an armored body. Ruby, Pyrrha, and Sandra kept attacking it the most, with the latter two being more on the attacking sides seeing as their temporary weapons were almost no different from their real ones. It raised its armored claw in the air to strike them, but it was then pierced through with what looked to be water.
"We're back with the kid," Daniel called out with Hunter being shown holding his clasped hands together with runes circling in front of him, as a water beam was fired from his hands. He then looked to Weiss, formed runes in his hands, and signaled to the blonde young women. "Weiss!"
"On it!"
She positioned her finger underneath Yang and Alyssa, manifesting glyphs under them, and then Daniel added those runes on it, causing the design to shift a bit. But, the two blondes seemed to be covered in a much stronger aura, as Yang activated her Semblance, causing her hair to shine golden almost as if it were set ablaze and her eyes to turn a bright red. With that buff, the two dashed straight for the Carcinus, thrusting their fists upwards, causing it to be sent upwards with an insane amount of force; creating a shockwave that blew away the sand.
It cracked the Carcinus' exoskeleton and caused its body to vanish in the black mist that seems to make up their unusual species. Seeing that the small-scale Grimm invasion seemed to have been done, the three teams sighed relieved.
"Well, we handled that."
Jaune stated, seeming relieved.
"Yeah, but that was completely unexpected."
"No kidding, where did they even come from?"
Alyssa and Sandra added, not knowing when or where these Grimm came from.
"Yeah, even for Grimm, their attacks are never this random normally."
Daniel stated, with the kid being led over to his mother who seemed to have returned by Neo.
"Do you think that something like this would happen again?"
Ruby asked worried about another group of Grimm coming too.
"Well, this is quite the surprise. I wasn't expecting a Grimm Invasion this time around to disrupt our patrons while on vacation," an unfamiliar voice caught their attention, causing them to turn to see who it originated from. "I also wasn't expecting that the Huntsmen-in-Training would come in and handle things in our stead."
Behind them, there was a bearded middle-aged man dressed in a professional business suit, with what looked to be a cybernetic left eye and a cybernetic left arm. He wasn't alone as there were a collection of drones hovering around him.
"Ah, who are you?"
Yang asked, confused about this man's presence.
"Oh, who am I?"
He responded to Yang's question with another question, then the music started coming from the surrounding drones, with them wondering what was about to happen next.
"Um, is he going to…?"
"Yeah, I think he…."
Alyssa and Sandra wondered.
"I am Fort Lee, the succeeding chief, the innovative executive, the futurist officer. The CEO of Starhead Industrial…."
The man, Fort Lee kept singing in front of the team, causing them to stare at the man as the drones continued to not just play music, but move around in rhythm of the man. As he kept moving around the drones came together to form stairs that Fort Lee started walking on. The people from the three teams stared at the CEO wearing blank expressions on their faces aside from Nora who seemed to find this amusing. Nonetheless, the man continued singing without end.
A/N: Well, this is the end of the next chapter of RWBY – Team DUSK, well this is the beginning of the incident on Sapang Island and in RWBY: The Session. It started with Yang and Blake talking to and learning more about Sandra. And Yang, of course, has some personal feelings about what happened. It then went to their training in their training facility, with them getting more into Team RWBY's training and some concerns that Ruby has when it comes to being a good leader. I should note that I added in the detail that Monty didn't want Myrtenaster to look as if Weiss was carrying around a rainbow. So, I added the detail that Myrtenaster has red shades that make the loaded Dust look red since it's often shown having red in most promotions.
So, their vacation continued with Ruby and Yang getting harassed by some Faunus men before Daniel stepped in, then played the boyfriend. There was some moment between Hunter and Neo, who decided to have some fun. It then went to them fighting off some aquatic Grimm, a Carcinus, a Grimm Crab, and then a Grimm Shark before a kid got eaten. And in the end, the three teams met Fort Lee with his singing performance.
