When Raynare was put in this predicament she didn't think she'd be under Damian's custody. When Azazel had first put her under his wing, she didn't think she'd last. He brutally murdered her comrades and a whole army of priests without any mercy or hesitation, and he did it in such a brutal way that made Raynare shiver in fear each time she thought back to see all of those corpses.

Yet he spared her.

Of course, it was because he had to bring her to Azazel and so, yet she was placed under his custody and Damian could've just killed her to spare him the job of watching her. But, to her surprise, he didn't do that. He took her in and showed no desire to kill her or even attempt anything sexual with her, given her choice of attire.

He had brought her to his magically altered tent to have a bigger inside, where she met the infamous SS-Class criminal, Kuroka, which made her tense and nearly fight until Damian stepped in and told them there will be no fighting or they can find somewhere else to stay.

So the two women begrudgingly got along.

It's been a week now, and in that week, Damian had made quick trips to Kuoh and back, only taking out Stray Devils of different classes and also keeping an eye on the Devils that owned the Kuoh territory.

"Why do you continue to go to that town?" Raynare asked when Damian came back from scouting the town. "Don't tell me you have the hots for Rias Gremory. I mean, you're like nearly a thousand years old."

"Yet I look like I'm twenty." Damian retorted, sitting at the kitchen table where breakfast was always had. Raynare and Kuroka had been sitting there, having their breakfast, when Damian returned. "And no, I don't have any attraction to her whatsoever."

"Hmm, that's something. She's got the looks." Raynare smirked, despite the look Damian gave her. "But I'm much hotter."

"You wish." Kuroka snorted into her glass of milk. She smirked at the glare Raynare shot her. "If anything, he desires someone like me, nya~"

"If you two are done." Damian said with a dry tone, drawing their attention. "I keep visiting the town to deal with the Strays that they are letting roam about. Whether they know of the Strays or are unaware doesn't matter to me. It is Rias and Sona's job to protect the town that was rented to them by Yasaka and the Shinto Goddess Amaterasu. I'm also doing it to watch the boy you were planning to kill."

Raynare scoffed and crossed her arms underneath her breasts. "Let me guess, he's got a weak Sacred Gear as I thought? Nothing but a Twice Critical."

"Actually, he's this generation's Red Dragon Emperor." Damian revealed, making Raynare and Kuroka's eyes widen.

"What?!" Raynare shouted in shock and outrage. "You mean, that little pervert is the host of Ddraig? Then that means the White Dragon..."

Damian noticed Kuroka look away at the mention of the White Dragon, making him curious. "Something you want to add, Kuroka?"

"Me? No, nya~" Kuroka said innocently, but Damian gave her a hard look that told her to not lie to him or try to brush the subject aside. She sighed. "I know who the White Dragon Emperor is. His name is Vali. And he's got a desire to become the strongest White Dragon Emperor."

"Don't they all have that desire?" Raynare asked.

Kuroka shook her head. "Vali wants to fight the strongest beings in our world, straight up to Great Red himself."

That surprised Raynare and Damian, with the Fallen Angel's eyes widening while Damian blinked several times.

"Well, that's interesting." Damian said and went to make himself something to eat while Raynare looked at him with a stupefied expression.

"Interesting?! That's all you can say?!" She asked him. "This guy wants to fight Great red and all you can say is 'interesting'?!"

Damian turned and shrugged at her. "What he wants doesn't concern me. As long as he doesn't try to make an enemy of me should I meet him, then he won't be seeing an early grave."

The ladies were silent, exchanging a look.

Damian soon looked at them, looking back and forth between them. "get your food eaten. We'll be making for Kyoto soon."

"Kyoto? Why are we going there?" Kuroka asked curiously.

"Because it's where I live." Damian said, putting his plate down and starting to leave.

"It's the home of the Youkai Faction, including their leader, Yasaka!" Raynare called after him, shocked he wanted them to go there.

"Yep!" Damian called back.

"Good to be back." Damian said as he, along with Raynare and Kuroka, walked through Kyoto. As they did, Raynare was aware of the inhabitants looking at Damian with recognition in their eyes. At least they weren't focused on Raynare or Kuroka.

Raynare had been told to switch out of her usual attire since it wasn't exactly what one should wear in public. Damian told her she could keep it as her battle attire or something, but to wear normal clothing outside of it. So Raynare was wearing black skinny jeans that showed off her long, flawless legs without being indecent about it, dark blue heels, and a blue crop top, showing off her midriff and fitting her hourglass figure, especially with her large, round breasts.

Kuroka was wearing her usual attire, since it was more... decent than Raynare's dominatrix-looking outfit. Raynare had scoffed when Kuroka called her outfit 'decent', remarking that she was practically showing off her tits and legs. Kuroka had simply stuck her tongue out at her in response.

"You seem to be a big deal to them." Raynare noted after hearing the whispers and mutterings of the Youkais around them. It was like she was in some kind of tourist attraction. Albeit, this was her first time being in Youkai territory, everything around her looked like she traveled back in time to the Edo period of Japan. People's fashion, building structures and architecture.

"I've helped this place out many times before, and it helps that I've known their leader since the late twelve hundreds, just before the Mongol invasion of Tsushima Island." Damian said with a small smile. "They did want to build a statue of me some hundred years ago, but I convinced them otherwise. Having a statue would just clue my enemies and other people to my whereabouts since I live here. And I will not bring that sort of problems to these people and Yasaka."

"You know her personally, nya~?" Kuroka asked curiously, hearing the admiration and affection in Damian's voice when mentioning the Youkai leader, and it made her curious as well as jealous.

"I do." Damian nodded.

Before anything else could be said, a dozen kids came running and yelling toward Damian, most of them hugged him around the leg.

"You're that guy who saved everyone three years ago, right!?" Said a little Youkai girl.

"Yeah, that's me. What did you guys want?" Damian said, smiling at the children

"CAN WE HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH!?" They all yelled.

Damian chuckled and quickly did so, signing whatever they wanted his autograph on. Once he was done, he sent the children on their way.

"Better get a move on. Last thing I want to deal with is some of the females." Damian said, grumbling a little. At the confused look from Raynare and Kuroka, he elaborated. "It's heat season for some of them."

"Ah." The ladies nodded in understanding, and they walked on.

"Well, we're here." Damian said as they arrived outside a nice home, slightly larger than average, found in a somewhat secluded area. A ways away from the public, kinda like a private estate. Entering through the front door and was greeted with a large living room.

'Fancy.' Raynare and Kuroka thought as they examined the furniture and assortments around the home.

"Hello? Anyone home?" Damian called out and no second sooner, tiny little footsteps were heard, rushing towards them.

"DADDY!" A small blonde blur smacked into Damian's chest, the Devil having expected it and quickly caught the blur with a joyful laugh as he spun around.

"Hello, my dear!" He smiled. Raynare and Kuroka watched, their eyes wide upon seeing the little blonde-haired girl in his arms, the fox ears and tails making it obvious who and what she was. And what she just called Damian...

'He's the father of Yasaka's daughter?!' They shouted in their heads, shocked.

"Welcome back, my love." A female voice brought all their attention as Yasaka herself entered the room, smiling, her eyes on the father of her daughter. "Have a safe journey?"

"I always do." Damian said, leaning forward and the two shared a soft kiss before breaking away.

"Nya?" Kuroka tilted her head, surprised. There had been rumors of Yasaka having a man in her life, but Yasaka said nothing about it and it just stayed like that, rumors. It seems the rumors were true.

"I see you've brought some company with you." Yasaka said, her eyes locked on Raynare and Kuroka, making the Fallen Angel nervous while Kuroka sent a cheeky wave at the Youkai leader. "And one of them is a known wanted criminal."

Damian sighed. "It's a long story."

"Well, you can tell me at dinner." Yasaka patted his cheek, then smiled at Raynare and Kuroka. "Welcome to my home. Don't worry, I'm not going to harm you. You're safe under my roof, especially you, Kuroka."

"You know me, nya?" Kuroka asked.

Raynare sent her a dull look. "She just mentioned you were a known wanted criminal, you furball."

"Oh go shit on a car, crow." Kuroka shot back.

Yasaka raised an eyebrow while Damian sighed and Kunou giggled at the two funny women throwing insults at each other.

Maybe Damian should've thought this through...

And that's it for this chapter. I'm really trying to come up with stuff between the Raynare arc and the Kokabiel arc without Damian getting involved in canon.
