Chapter 1

Forrester Creations

"You know it means a lot, just knowing that you care." Hope says as she plays with her fingers.

"Hope, of course I care. You are a fantastic woman, okay? You're – You're an amazing mother, a fashion icon." Finn says as he looks the blonde woman in the eyes.

"Uh I – I think you're talking about Steffy."

"I'm talking about you. No, I – I genuinely appreciate the meaning behind Hope for the Future. I mean, infusing a social message with your line and making a difference in the betterment of people's lives. I just, How could I not admire you? Respect you? You fully embody the name of your line, Hope for the Future." They both smile at each other and let out a smile laugh. The blonde starts to rub the back of her neck.

"Headache?"

"Yeah..." the young woman replies

"Yeah, yeah." Finn says before her slowly cups the sides of Hope's face in his hands. Their eyes lock, then she slowly looks down to his lips. As Finn slowly rubs the back of Hope's neck, she starts to lean in, seeing this, so does he, their lips meet in a quick kiss. They quickly pull back and lock eyes again, then start to kiss more passionately. Finn breaks the kiss only so he can move his lips to her collar bone. The blonde sighs in pleasure. Unbeknownst to them, there is someone at the door watching and recording the pair.

The pair breaks apart, both breathing heavily. Finn keeps rubbing her neck as they try to calm down,

"Now I get why Steffy is the way she is with you." Hope says, still a little breathless.

"Hope, I..."

"It's okay Finn, I won't say anything." she interrupts him.

"I need to go home, I am sure Steffy is waiting for me He continues to rub her neck.

"Okay." Hope says, not moving or having Finn stop rubbing her neck. She closes her eyes, leaning into his hands. He finally removes his hands and stands up. He turns to go, but at the door he stops.

"You are one hell of a woman Hope Logan." he says and walks out the door.

Cliff House

"I just can't get over the feeling that Hope is trying to cause problems in my marriage. She knows how I feel about Sheila and yet she keeps suggesting that Finn spends time with her." Steffy says as she fiddles with Kelly's thermos.

"I don't know. I don't see her doing something like that, but I also never imagined that our marriage would end because she wanted Thomas." Liam says as he watches his ex-wife.

"You know she is all 'the Logan's versus the Forrester's'. And she is pissed that Thomas left her and she blames me for it." she says, putting the Logan's and forrester's in air quotes.

"She shouldn't blame you for Thomas, that was his decision." he says, wanting to touch the beauty in front of him.

"You know she does. She blames me for everything that goes wrong in her life and always has. She is always the victim when things go bad." the brunette says, glad to have the thermos to keep her hands busy.

Steffy, I..." he is interrupted by the door being opened, Ridge walks in.

"Sorry, am I interrupting something he says as he looks from his daughter to the man in front of him.

"No dad, we were just talking about Hope."

"I really don't think we should drop Hope for the Future." the older man says.

"I want Hope out of the company. She is turning into her mother." she says, hoping to get through to her dad and co-CEO.

"I have been doing some thinking Steffy, I think I want to go back to just designing. I am thinking of having Brooke step in as co-CEO for me." Ridge says, looking at his daughter for her reaction.

"No dad, I will not work with Brooke like that. Look at what she has done to our family. I will work with granddad, even Katie, but that is it." Steffy says as she puts the thermos in the pink backpack in front of her. Her father sees the determination in her face, her features set.

"Ridge, I don't think that is a great idea, you know " Liam chimes in.

"Let em think about it. I will let you know. But if I name Brooke as co-CEO, you will have to learn to deal with it." her dad says, also determined. He gives his daughter a hug and walks out, leaving Liam and Steffy alone again.

"I better go too, I have to pick the girls up from summer camp. We are going to have a movie night." he says, grabbing the backpack and looking at his ex-wife again, he wants to kiss her, but memories of her telling him not to enters his brain. He walks toward the door and opens it. He jumps back, "Oh hi." he says.
