The Imouto Season

Day 0

Promised Island Dorm

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Wataru Minakami rolls out of bed, hearing the fire alarm going off in the dorms. He gets up, runs out of his room, then sees all 12 of his little sisters with their heads peaking out of their doors.

"What is going on, Bro-Bro?" Hinako asks.

"Why is it so loud, Brother Mine?" Marie questions.

"I don't know… I'm not sure!" Wataru exclaims. "But I think there might be a fire!"

"A fire! Oh no, Brother!" Kaho exclaims.

"Mon Frère…" Aria says, wiping away a tear.

"Quick, let me get out one of my inventions, Bro!" Rinrin shouts. "I know exactly what will help here. Let's see…"

"Who started the fire, Beloved Brother?" Haruka asks.

"That's a job for the great detective Yotsuba!" Yotsuba exclaims. "Yotsuba will have this mystery figured out right away, Brother Dearest!"

Yotsuba pulls out her magnifying glass and starts searching everywhere for clues. Shirayuki looks at Wataru and her eyes well up.

"Could it have been Hime's cooking that caused it?" Shirayuki asks Wataru. "Hime was so careful with her cooking and didn't overcook anything!"

"There's only one way to find out, Brother Darling," Chikage says, as she pulls out one of her tarot cards.

"Wait a minute!" Mamoru shouts. "There's someone down there, Big Bro!"

The girls all pause and look down the staircase, where Jeeves is waiting.

"Look, the butler!" Sakuya says, grabbing Wataru's arm. "Dear Brother and I will go alone down to see what he wants from us."

"No, let's all go down together! Let's go, Big Brother!" Karen shouts.

The 12 girls and their dear big brother run down the stairs, with Marie and Hinako both covering their ears from the loud sound of the alarm bells.

"Jeeves!" Wataru exclaims, after coming to the bottom of the stairs. "What's going on?"

"Everyone, into the limousine," Jeeves says, leading Wataru and the girls over to the limousine and opening the door.

"But what's going on?" Wataru says. "We need to know."

"You'll know when you get there," Jeeves replies. "Now, into the limousine. The driver will take you there."

Wataru enters the limousine first, and his 12 sisters all crowd into the cramped seats, with some of them fighting over who gets to sit next to their big brother.

"That seat is reserved for me!" Sakuya exclaims.

"No way!" Mamoru says. "Finders keepers, losers weepers!"

"Let Kaho sit next to Brother!" Kaho says. "Kaho lost some weight – Kaho can squeeze in!"

A man steps into the driver's seat of the limousine.

"Hey, that's you, Jeeves!" Wataru calls from the back seat. "It can't be true!"

"Never mind that," Jeeves says. "We will begin our adventure now."

The limousine pulls out, heading for part of the island that is by the beach.

Promised Island Beach

"Come on in, girls!" Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop says.

12 girls walk out on to the beach and stand on a lavender mat across from Jet.

"Are you ready?" Jet says. "This is our 16th season of Crazy Survivor – Survivor: Promised Island!"

The 12 girls all cheer and clap, before Kohaku from Dr. Stone notices something.

"There's only 12 of us!" she says. "Is this going to be the smallest season since Hikawa Shrine?"

"Wow, an easier season!" Tsukasa Hiiragi from Lucky Star says. "Maybe even easier than the ones Konata played on!"

Jet chuckles. "I wouldn't be so sure. Come on in!"

The limousine pulls up on the beach, and filing out of it one by one are the Sister Princess girls, with Wataru coming out last.

"Come on in, girls, take your spot on that mat over there," Jet stays, pointing to a pink mat. The 12 sisters look confused as they go out to the mat. Wataru then sneaks back toward the limousine.

"Good-bye, sisters!" Wataru says, getting back inside, and then leaving as Jeeves pulls away.

"But – but – Brother!" Kaho says.

"Bro-bro left us," Hinako says sadly.

Most of the girls are wiping away tears, as Jet addresses them.

"Welcome, Minakami family, to Survivor: Promised Island!" Jet says. "You 12 girls are about to play the game of Survivor!"

"Survivor?" Haruka wonders.

"That's right, it's the game show Big Brother would watch with us at night," Karen says. "You play challenges, you vote people out, and one person comes out with a lot of money."

"Exactly," Jet says. "This is a 26-day game, and you will not get to see your beloved brother until the game is over."

"Nooo!" Hinako cries, as many of the girls brush away tears.

"But!" Jet exclaims. "The one of you sisters who makes it the farthest in this game, or even wins it, gets a very special reward: a week of fun vacations alone with your brother!"

"Yay!" Kaho exclaims, and the girls start to cheer.

"You twelve sisters of Wataru, please introduce yourselves, one at a time."

Karen steps forward. "Hello, everyone, my name is Karen," she says. "Karen loves playing the piano, and Karen loves her kitten Vanilla. Karen loves her Big Brother and would do anything to be with him. Karen looks forward to playing this game with you."

Kaho is next to speak. "Kaho says hi! Kaho loves to cheer for her Brother, but Kaho is very clumsy and messes up sometimes. But that's okay, because Brother is always there to cheer Kaho up! Kaho also hopes to lose some weight out here during this game!"

Hinako steps up next. "Hina played this game before!" she says. "Hina finished 10th in Greed Island! Hina likes playing with her rubber ducky in the pool with Bro-bro. Hina wants to make friends, like she made friends with Siesta the last time she played!"

Shirayuki then steps up. "Hi, this is Shirayuki!" she says. "Hime wants to cook the rice and whatever good stuff we get. Hime's hope is to cook a meal good enough that Elder Brother will be impressed. Hime hopes you enjoy the food too!"

Next comes Yotsuba. "Cheerio, it's the great detective Yotsuba!" she says. "Yotsuba is here to check out this game and find out all the secrets this game has to hold! There's nothing Yotsuba can't find, whether it's an immunity idol or her Brother Dearest's secrets!"

Some of the girls on the other tribe look at each other in bafflement.

"Do they all talk in the third person?" Alexia mumbles.

Marie then steps up. "Hi, everyone, my name is Marie," she says. "I have a dog named Michael who keeps me company at the sanitorium, which is where I spend most of my time when I'm feeling sick. I just want to see Brother Mine smile."

"Hi, everyone!" Mamoru says, stepping forward. "I'm super good at sports, even though my Big Bro isn't! I can't wait to take part in the immunity challenges this season! I'm going to rule at the Schmergen Brawl, just you wait and see!"

Next comes Rinrin. "Hi, guys!" she says. "I want to win this game for the million dollars which can go to supplement my projects! Otherwise, I'm going to have to keep on asking my Bro to fund my research. I don't want to make him go broke, so I want to make the money myself!"

Aria speaks next. "Mon Frère… wants… me… to… play… and…"

She wipes away a tear. "…that's… all…"

Next up is Sakuya. "I'm the perfect match for Dear Brother!" she says. "Dear Brother and I were destined to be together. Once I win this game, he will see that I am the right one for him!"

Misty and Kohaku look at each other in bewilderment. "This is getting creepier by the minute," Misty says.

"You're telling me," Kohaku says.

Stepping forward is Haruka. "My goal is to become a proper woman," she says through a German accent. "That way, someday, I may win over Elder Brother. And I might gain respect from all of you by playing the proper way in this game."

Finally, up to bat is Chikage.

"Is a victory in the cards?" she says. "My tarot cards say yes. They also say that I shall wind up with Brother Darling. The stars are shining on my tribe and our chances at winning."

The other girls look at each other in complete confusion.

"All right," Jet states. "Now what we're going to do is split you guys up. I've got some buffs here in this bag. You're going to pull one out blindly and find out if you're red, orange, purple, or pink. You'll then go over to the mat of that color."

"Oh, so that's why there are those other mats," Komachi says.

Jet walks down the line, with each girl taking a buff out of the bag. They then open them up and scatter to their mats.

"All right, let's see how it is," Jet says. "Over on the pink mat, we've got Kurome, Tsukasa, Sayu, Chikage, Aria, and Haruka. You are the Hime tribe!"

"Hime!" the girls cheer in unison.

"Next, we've got the purple tribe. Kirino, Karin, Liechtenstein, Kaho, Hinako, and Shirayuki. You are the Imouto tribe!"

"All right, Imouto!" Karin exclaims.

"Orange mat. We've got Misty, Kohaku, Kyon's Sister, Karen, Marie, and Sakuya. You are the Sister tribe!"

"Okay!" Misty exclaims.

"Finally, the red mat. We have Alexia, Komachi, Sasami, Mamoru, Yotsuba, and Rinrin. You are the Princess tribe!"

"I guess it's only fitting," Alexia says, brushing her hand through her hair.

"Now, how about we get this thing started the right way, with a challenge," Jet announces. "First of all, we are now in a NEW ERA of Survivor. In the NEW ERA, every time you lose a challenge, you lose your flint as penalty. Also, we're giving you no food to survive on, so you'll have to eat coconuts or even ants. Finally, to start the game, the most you're going to get is a machete and a pot, along with flint. But you've got to earn it. That means you're going to win a challenge right here, right now."

The girls cheer while also murmuring about the lack of supplies.

"For today's challenge, you will go through a muddy obstacle course. Once you're out of it, you will bring a heavy puzzle piece back with you. Then the next person will go. After four players have brought back puzzle pieces, the remaining two players will solve a puzzle with the pieces. Then you'll untie a rod, which you'll use to lift a ring off a pole and retrieve your flint. First two tribes to grab their flint off the ground, win flint, as well as a machete and a pot. First tribe to finish also gets this."

Jet reveals a plate of vegetables.

"Losers, you'll get a second chance to win your supplies in a challenge known as Smart or Savvy; we'll get to that after the challenge. Make sense?"

"Sure!" Tsukasa says.

"I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get started."

The players all talk with each other, trying to figure out who should do what.

"I'll do the puzzle part," Alexia says to her fellow Princess tribe members. "I am above getting muddy like that."

"Yotsuba is great at detective work!" Yotsuba exclaims. "Yotsuba will check the pieces to make sure they go in the right places!"

"Okay, that makes sense," Mamoru says. "The rest of us will run the obstacle course. It'll be no sweat for me!"

"I am very athletic and skilled physically," Mamoru says. "I want to make Big Bro proud of me! And to do that, I'm going to prove it by winning this first challenge for my tribe!"

The Sister tribe also huddles to pick who should do which part.

"I'll do the obstacle course part," Kohaku says. "I'm ready to get dirty!"

"I'm with ya," Misty says. "The heavy lifting is my forte."

"I have a weak constitution," Marie says. "It would be better if I stayed back and worked on the puzzle."

"I'll stay back and help her, for Dear Brother's sake!" Sakuya exclaims.

Kohaku nods.

"The big advantage I have in this game is that I can take on any physical challenge," Kohaku says. "But Senku's taught me a lot. I'm not just a dumb blonde. And Gen the mentalist has taught me various mind games to play with my opponents. I'm a real threat to win."

The Imouto tribe looks at each other and has a hard time making a choice.

"Come on, you guys!" Kirino exclaims. "Someone's got to step up for this challenge!"

"What about you?" Karin asks.

"I'm doing the physical part! No surprise there!"

"Same with me," Karin says. "Hinako's too small to push those puzzle pieces."

"So is Liechtenstein," Shirayuki says.

"Fine, then, Hinako and Liechtenstein, you do the puzzle," Kirino says. "We'll do the hard work."

Finally, the Hime tribe talks about what they want to do.

"Tsukasa and I are taking the obstacle course," Kurome says. "How about you, Sayu?"

"No, I'm too nervous…" Sayu replies.

"Fine, then," Kurome says. "Sayu's on the puzzle. Who else?"

"May… be… me…" Aria says.

"I'm on board with that," Haruka says.

"Very well," Tsukasa says. "It's Aria and Sayu on the puzzle, and the rest of us on the obstacle course."

"All right," Jet says, calling the tribes on over. "Those of you going to do the puzzle, get on the mat where the puzzle pieces will be placed. The rest of you, get to the starting line."

Misty, Mamoru, Kurome, and Kirino step up to the starting line.

"For flint!" Jet shouts. "Survivors ready? Go!"

Mamoru takes the early lead as the players go through the muddy obstacle course. Misty is right behind her, with Kurome and Kirino lagging a bit behind. The four of them go and start pushing their puzzle pieces back.

"Mamoru making quick work of this challenge!"

Mamoru gets her puzzle piece back first, with Misty only a few seconds behind.

"Rinrin and Kohaku out for their tribes!"

As Rinrin and Kohaku crawl under the muddy netting, Kurome and Kirino get back to the mat with their puzzle pieces.

"Kaho and Chikage out for their tribes!"

Kaho slips and falls down as she rushes toward the mat. She gets up, wipes a tear away from her eye, and pushes forward.

"I will do my best!" she shouts. "For Brother!"

"That's how you do it on Survivor!" Jet yells.

Chikage gets through the obstacle course and over to her puzzle piece, while Rinrin and Kohaku are pushing theirs back to the mat.

"Next ones to go!" Jet shouts.

Kyon's Sister and Komachi head out for the Sister and Princess tribes, respectively.

"Got to get through that obstacle course!"

Chikage comes back with her puzzle pieces, and a bit later, so does Kaho.

"Next ones out!"

Haruka and Shirayuki both head out to the obstacle course, where both of them get very muddy. Meanwhile, Komachi takes a bit of a lead on Kyon's Sister as the two of them arrive back at the mat.

"Come on, next ones out!" Jet shouts.

Sasami and Karen rush out for their tribes, while Haruka and Shirayuki slowly push their blocks back toward the starting line.

"Big lead for the Sister and Princess tribes!" Jet shouts.

As Tsukasa and Karin head out for their tribes, back come Sasami and Karen with the final pieces of their puzzle.

"Get to work on that puzzle!"

Alexia and Yotsuba work on the puzzle for the Princess tribe, and it's Marie and Sakuya on the puzzle for the Sister tribe.

"Karin and Tsukasa coming back with the final pieces for the Imouto and Hime tribes!"

Karin pushes her piece to the mat, and Tsukasa does seconds later.

"Get to work on that puzzle! Aria and Sayu for Hime, and Hinako and Liechtenstein for Imouto!"

As Sayu and Aria push on a puzzle piece, and Hinako and Liechtenstein do the same, it becomes increasingly clear that these younger players aren't strong enough to move the blocks.

"Hina can't move it! Hina needs Bro-Bro's help!" Hinako shouts.

"I… can't… move… it…" Aria says.

"You should have picked your teams better!" Jet shouts. "I can't help you here!"

As the girls futilely push at their puzzle pieces, Alexia and Yotsuba finish putting their puzzle together, and Marie and Sakuya are right behind them.

"Now just get that rod untied and grab your flint!"

Alexia starts untying the rod, as does Sakuya. The other two tribes have pretty much given up at this point.

"Alexia gets her rod untied, and she's going for the flint! Sakuya right behind her!"

Alexia starts getting the flint off, but Sakuya is right there behind her. Both of them get the flint off at nearly exactly the same time.

"It's a mad dash for the flint!"

Sakuya goes and dives for hers, while Alexia is too slow to catch her.

"Sakuya gets the flint first! And that's it! Sister tribe wins flint and vegetables! Princess tribe wins flint!"

Sakuya jumps into the waiting arms of her tribemates, while Alexia gives high fives to Komachi and Mamoru.

"I'm giving you all maps to your beaches," Jet says, passing out the maps. "Sister tribe, Princess tribe, your supplies will be waiting for you back at camp. Hime tribe, Imouto tribe, you'll have a chance at getting your supplies, but you'll have to pass a test first, either Savvy or Sweat. You'll make that choice once you get back to camp. For now, you can all head on out."

The four tribes head on out, with the Sister and Princess tribes having more spring in their step.

"You're quitting this game?"

"I have no choice. I must quit."

"I'm smashing that hourglass. I don't care what consequences there are."

"You are in extreme danger. If you don't leave the game now, you may die."

"I understand."

"You know, you guys are really too much. I can't believe this has happened again."
