Renka and Naruto, An Early Anniversary.
Naruto woke again to the sound of drums, "Whu-," as soon as his body shot up he banged his head off one of her drums,
"Morning babe," The tomboy Miko grinned,
Naruto checked his head for blood, "Renka don't do that over my bed,"
The long brown haired buxom shrine maiden just pinched his cheek, "Don't be like that, I just wanted to make sure you'd be up for our date later,"
"I am..." Naruto said before looking out the window, seeing the sun just starting to rise on the horizon, Naruto glared at her and pulled his covers over himself, "well I will be in the morning,"
"H-hey don't go back to bed now," Renka grabbed him and started shaking him,
"Why do you want me to wake up so bad?" Naruto asked,
"W-well, It's. . . can you just like... come into the living room?" she pleaded,
Naruto sat back up and looked at her, "Hanabi blew up the shrine again didn't she?"
Renka sighed, "Yeah, sorry,"
Naruto groaned and pushed the covers away, "Fine," he slid out of bed, his feet sliding into the slippers he kept at his bedside, next was his smoking jacket that he slid on, it's pocket had his morning cigar in it, though he supposed he'd need it soon, then they walked into the living room where Renka's younger sister's Hanabi and Kafuru,
Hanabi was a very carefree and well endowed young lady, she had short strawberry blond hair, while he'd never noticed some of his friends had commented she was more shapely then Renka, and she wasn't particularly intelligent, in fact when Hanabi started to become confused she basically exploded, Hanabi gave him a big smile as he walked into the room, though her eyes were apologetic,
Kafuru was the youngest, and the least friendly sister, She had her blond hair tied into twin small pigtails, and unlike the others she was the smallest and least endowed, she had almost no friends and he was likely the closest thing to one she had, and she soaked him every time he said hello to her,
"Morning ladies," Naruto said,
"Hey hey Naruto" Hanabi said as she scratched her head, "Uhhh so Renka explained about the shrine right?"
"She did, glad to see you two didn't wait outside this time, you barely stopped shivering last time,"
Kafuru put her hands on her hips, "Quit acting nice perv, just cause you wanna scr-" Hanabi covered Kafuru's mouth,
"Sorry about her, she's cranky cause we had to walk all this way so early," Hanabi stated,
"I don't know why you had Renka wake me, you guys know where everything is," Naruto said,
"Cause it'd be rude to just pop over and sleep in your home while you didn't know," Renka said, "What if you saw one of us in the shower?"
"Wouldn't I hear the shower is on before I entered the bathroom?" Naruto asked,
"You'd better!" Kafuru spat, "If you walked in on me or the others in the shower I'll bury you,"
Hanabi frowned, "Be nice Kafuru, he's letting us sleep here tonight,"
Kafuru turned to Hanabi, "Cause he want's to bone our sister,"
Hanabi smiled, "Yeah, but she wants to bone him too,"
Both Naruto and Renka's cheeks turned red, Renka coughed, "T-tea!" she cried, "Anyone want tea?"
"I'll get the beds set up!" Naruto called and ran back to his room,
Kafuru turned from Renka and the retreating blonde, ". . . First time I think those two have run away from anything,"
After the tea was made and the beds were ready Renka sat at the table with her shaking hands holding onto her mug, Naruto on the other hand walked into the room, "Beds are ready, feel free to get food, or showers or whatever," he said his cheeks still a deep red, "I'm going out for a smoke," he said shoving his cigar in his mouth, he pulled a lighter out of his pocket, as she opened the door he tried lighting the end of his cigar, but nothing but sparks emitted from his lighter, "Shit not again," he groaned, near him was a table with a bowl, he tossed it onto a pile of lighters on the table and took another lighter out of the bowl,
*Click* "Out" he said as again nothing but sparks, adding it to the pile, taking another out of the bowl, *Click* "Damn," and another, *Click* "Seriously?" he asked adding another to the growing pile of lighters,
As he continued Kafuru elbowed Renka, "Weren't you going to give him something today, it looks like he could use it early," she whispered,
"What if she didn't bring it?" Hanabi asked,
Renka pulled a black box out of her pocket, Hanabi and Kufuru shared a look, and quickly both had Renka on her feet and pushed her over to Naruto, "H-hey,"
"Easy," Naruto said grabbing her shoulders, as both looked at the other's face they blushed and turned away from each other,
"Sorry about them," Renka said, "You know my sisters," she said idly as she played with the box,
"It's okay," Naruto said, "I-," he stopped as Renka shakily held the box to him,
"Y-you pr-probably d-don't remember," she said uncharacteristically nervously, "B-but thi-this is for our. . . anniversary,"
He looked down at the box, then back to her, then he raised his hands, "Wait right here," he said taking the cigar from his mouth and running into his kitchen he pulled open a drawer, and pulled out a similar box and ran back to her, "If we're doing this now, then I got you this,"
Renka looked at his gift and he looked at hers, "H-how do we do this?" she asked,
"Well... I uh, no idea," Naruto said,
"Maybe Renka should give Naruto his g-," Hanabi said before Kafuru covered her mouth,
"Quiet you" Kafuru hissed, "It's getting good,"
Renka blushed harder, "Do you two have to watch?"
"But Hanabi has a point," Naruto said shoving his box into his pocket, "I'll take yours first,"
As Renka turned to him she realised his cheeks were just as red as hers and she smiled, "O-okay," she handed him the box and he opened it, inside was a gold heart necklace, as he pulled it out he realised it was upside down, quickly Renka took it from his hands and put it around his neck, "It fits," she gave a sigh of relief,
Naruto held up the necklace, suddenly her realised there was an engraving on it, it was both their names with a small plus between them inside a smaller heart, "Huh," he smiled, "It's fancy, I like it,"
"Press it in," Renka said, Naruto did, *Click* and with the click a small flame came out of the top of the heart, "I figured since you kept losing your lighters and couldn't find any with any gas in em, I'd get you that," she laid her fingers over the gold heart, "That way you'll think of me anytime you look at it,"
"Thanks Renka," Naruto smiled, "Mine looks like crap in comparison," he said putting the box on the table behind him, "but here," he said handing her it,
Renka opened the box and smiled, "Great minds eh?" she asked pulling a similar gold heart necklace, though Naruto's was thicker hers was longer and right side up, she put it on, "Well how do I look?"
"Great, as always" he said, "But there's a thing on the side," Renka took the heart into her palm, it like hers had an engraving on it, but instead of engravings hiding a button, hers said, "To you Renka my love, keep us all close to your heart," she smiled before she opened it, "Aww," inside were two pictures, on one side was one of her and her sisters when they were younger, and the other was inside a photobooth where she and Naruto had their first kiss, she blushed as she remembered how awkward it was, he'd been trying to kiss her cheek and she'd been trying to kiss his, it was accidental, and the picture caught both of their shock when they realised their were making out, "D-didja have to choose that picture?"
"I... couldn't find the other one," he said, "It was the only one where we-,"
Renka smiled and stood on her tiptoes, as she gently pressed her lips to his, "w-we can always get another," she said with a blush,
"Wooooo" Hanabi cheered,
"Get him sis!" Kafuru
"H-happy two year anniversary Smokey" Renka said,
"Yeah," Naruto said dreamily, "I mean, happy anniversary Tomboy,"
They stared at each other for a few minutes, then Renka shoved Naruto's cigar back into his mouth, "Enjoy your smoke,"
"Y-yeah, you too," He shook his head, "I mean-, I love you,"
They both blushed harder and then she shoved him out the door, "Y-yeah! you too!" she cried as she slammed the door shut,
Her sisters laughed and Renka buried her face into her hands, "Shush!" she cried,
