Amazing how what seems to be a common night can take a turn for the worst.

Krypto, as an animal superhero, should be used to this by now. However, he still sometimes got surprised on how what seems to be a normal night can quickly take a turn and make him be trapped in a corner.

And this happened when he went all the way to the shore, to the new mall that was being built near the old pet cemetery on the seaside, as it appeared that there was someone in there causing a ruckus and stealing from one of the fife pet stores in there which were ready for the inauguration in a couple weeks from there.

Krypto quickly made his way in there by flying, and he did find the said store, to find out it was being stolen by...

"Bud and Lou?" Krypto said as he crossed paths with Harley Queen's hyenas, both of which were carrying bags filled with stolen items form the pet store on their mouths.

"Well if it isn't the Super Pooch!"

"Well, what a surprise! I mean, on his own city, right?"

"What are you two doing here?" Krypto demanded, and that was when another voice came:

"Oh, I invited them." The small scaly figure then came into view.

"Ignatius?" Krypto said, looking in surprise at the pet iguana of Lex Luthor.

"Just thought I'd invite some friends for a little party here in this new pet store." Ignatius said, "So I invited those two... and her."

And that was when another figure made it into view jumping from one of the platforms above. It was Catwoman's cat (well, one of them), Isis!

"Hello, Krypto." She said calmly, and the Superdog could only look back at them in surprise.

"What is this? Gathering of the most dangerous animals on the state?" Krypto asked, looking at the four of them.

"Oh, just a little reunion of pets who happen to know you and are not exactly your fans." Ignatius said. "Just a little thing that the five of us decided to do."

"Wait, five?" Krypto asked, and that was when another animal came out of nowhere, dropping of the ceiling and rising to two legs, shocking Krypto.

"Yeah, Superdog." Snooky said. "The five of us have prepared this little party."

"And, now that the guest of honor has arrived..." Lou said, with his brother soon completing:

"The fun can really start!"

And they both cackled. Meanwhile, Krypto looked at the five of them. He was surprised for seeing the five of them together, but he quickly recovered.

"Okay, so, you are all here to get me?" Krypto asked them. "Well, you are welcome to try! I have outsmarted all of your in the past, and I will do it again now!"

"Oh, it is truth, Krypto, you did win all of us in the past before." Snooky said, a strange smile on his face as he reached for his fanny-pack and pulled a box from it. "But, back on the day, we didn't had these!"

He opened to reveal something inside that was glowing. Krypto looked intently at it and he quickly recognized the glows as kryptonite. But... he had never seen orange kryptonite before.

Snooky quickly passed four of the five pieces of orange stone to his companions, before picking one himself. Each one of them put the piece on the their collars, and then, they were all enveloped by an orange glow.

At that moment, Krypto realized that something was not right. Starting when Isis pointed her paw at him, causing him to be enveloped by an orange glow and then flung around hard against the walls and ceiling. As he got on his feet, suddenly Bud and Lou were both standing right in front of him, grinnig. Krypto tried to lunge at them, only for them to instantly vanish out of his sight, moving around him with a speed that far surpassed Krypto's own and pushing him from behind, making him land flat on his face as they cackled.

Next came Snooky, who lifted his paws and emitted powerful orange-colored beams from them, hitting Krypto straight in the chest and sending him flying out of the store.

"H-how...?" Krypto said as he got up, the five animals quickly catching up to him.

"Just something that Lex's company has been researching in absolute secret." Ignatius said. "This is a strand of kryptonite they discovered that can give animals super powers. They are trying to make it work on humans, but they didn't had much success so far. Once I heard about it, I decided I had to try it for myself!"

"By coincidence, I also heard about this new strand of kryptonite, and wanted to see it for myself as well. That's how me and Iggy met." Snooky said. "And that's how we found out that we had a common enemy. So, we decided that we should work together. And, we also decided to call in a few friends who also have a score to settle with you."

"And now, here we are." Ignatius said, stepping forward. As he did, his body started glowing orange, and he started to grow. That iguana who was only a fifth of Krypto's size, now as the same size as a T-Rex. "So, what about we continue this little party?" He cracked his knuckles as he looked down on the tiny Superdog.

Krypto fought the best he could. However, the powers granted by the orange kryptonite surpassed his own. From Isis telekinesis to Snooky's energy beams, and even Ignatius size with an increased strength and resilience that made him stronger than Krypto, they all surpassed him in every way. That, combined with the five that were five of them to only one Krypto, made it that the battle was on their favor.

Krypto was beaten and tossed around like a toy, his cape and collar being ripped off his body as he landed back with bruises all over his body from the intense beating he was receiving from those five animal villains.

"Looks like he's had enough, guys." Isis said, floating into the air, using her own telekinesis to levitate herself, while the others walked to the Superdog.

"This is so cool!" Lou said, "With those new powers, even the Bat-Hound will not be able to get us!"

"He will run out of breath trying to!" Bud agreed, and the two laughed. "Thanks a lot for sharing this with us, guys!"

"Oh, you're welcome, my well-humored friends." Ignatius said, and Krypto was looking at the five of them, starting to get up and getting ready to go into battle again. When Snooky pulled out another box and opened it to reveal a rock of green kryptonite.

"N-no..." Krypto said, as he felt his already beaten body become even weaker as the green light washed over him. He was soon unable to keep himself up, dropping to the ground.

"Yeah, I do love this organ kryptonite." Snooky said, "But nothing can beat the classics. Now, what you guys say of us wrapping things up?"

Bud and Lou shared a look, and they smirked.

"On it!" They said, as they went away with super speed, only to come back barely three seconds later, carrying rolls of several meters of giftwrapping ribbons from store on that same mall.

Krypto could do nothing as they approached him with the rolls on their mouths.

"Allow me..." Ignatius said, as he used his new massive size to help by holding Krypto's ankles and lifting him it the air right in front of the two like a fish from a hook.

"Why, thank you!" Said Bud with a mouthful of ribbon-roll. Then, moving at supersonic speed, the two hyenas run around Krypto like a whirlwind. By the time they were done, Krypto had been wrapped from head to hind ankles on the ribbons. Even his front legs had been placed in front of his body as he was wrapped, making him look like a very colorful mummy.

"And for the final touch..." Lou said, getting the green kryptonite from Snooky's paws and placing it in Krypto, tying it to his neck with a ribbon to be sure it stayed in place.

"Now that is a wrap!"

The two hyenas cackled maniacally, with the other three animals joining them, while Krypto could only squirm weakly and wine, as he was rendered powerless and on the clutches of his enemies.

"So, what are we doing to him now?" Isis asked, to what Snooky said:

"We get him out of the way once and for all, of course!"

"Right!" Lou said, "Uhh, how?"

"Can it not be too messy? We don't do well with blood." Bud said, and this caused Snooky to look at them.

"Seriously? Aren't you two carnivores?"

"Harley only feed us bacon and steak with rice." Lou said shrugging, and this caused Isis to think.

They were in a shopping mall that was still under construction, by Metropolis' shore and just by the side of an old pet cemetery...

ENDING 1# – CEMENT ENDING

"I got an idea." Isis said, and she used her powers to make Krypto levitate. "Come with me."

They followed her all the way to the part of the mall that was still under construction. Complete with all the materials necessary to build everything, including the cement mixers.

Under Isis instructions, the hyenas mixed some cement while she placed Krypto into one of the holes that were going to be the foundations.

"You know, I like your style, girl." Snooky said with a wicked smile as they looked down on Krypto, who could not see, speak or move, and could only squirm weakly as he heard their cruel words.

"So, I guess this is goodbye, Krypto." Isis said, "But, look on the bright side. At least you will never be alone. Once the mall is open, there will always be people in it, walking right on top of you."

They laughed at this, and Isis telekinetically made the mixer, filled with cement, spin and then lower it's mouth. The cement on it started pouring into the hole Krypto had been fit into. The poor super dog could do nothing as the hole was slowly fit with cement, covering more and more of him.

Even as his head was covered in cement, it continued being poured until the hole was full. They stood around it, watching as bubbles popped on the surface. After the last one popped, they just smoothed the cement over and they all left.

By the morning, the cement would have hardened completely, trapping poor Krypto in there forever, and no one was ever the wiser.

ENDING 2# – SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES ENDING

"So, say guys..." Isis had a smirk on her muzzle as she looked at the others. "Is anyone here a fan of mob movies?"

In just ten minutes, they were all at the edge of the pier. Krypto was laying on the ground, trying desperately to squirm firm. However, he was not able to break free from simple giftwrapping ribbons, all because of the green kryptonite tied around his neck draining his powers.

He was powerless to stop them as they tied a chain around his hind ankles, with the other end of it being connected to a bolt they stuck into a bowling ball. All of them acquired from the stores of the shopping mall, and all of them putting to use for a special purpose: to get rid of Krypto the Superdog for good.

And Krypto knew it, which was why he was squirming so much, all in vain.

"Ohh, look! The doggie does not want to take his bath!" Lou said.

"Well, that's too bad! Because he is bathing either way!" Bud said back.

"NMMMM!" Krypto whined through the ribbons over his muzzle and lips. "Nmmm! Plmmshmmm!"

The five animals showed no mercy, with Iggy becoming giant once more and holding Krypto like a doll, dangling him over the water with the bowling ball chained to his ankles.

"So, I guess this is goodbye, Krypto." The iguana said. "If you see any nice fish down there, give me a call from the afterlife, will yah? But, oh, wait. You can't see anything with those ribbons over your eyes, can you? Oh well..."

And, just like that, he dropped Krypto, who quickly disappeared under the water, the bowling ball dragging him to the bottom quickly.

The five stood on the pier, watching as the bubbles popped over the surface, until the very last one of them popped.

Krypto was no more.

With this, the five of them walked away happily, all looking forward to the things they would be able to do with their new super powers and no Krypto to get on their hair.

ENDING 3# - BURIAL ENDING

Isis smirked as a wicked idea came to her mind, which she shared with everyone. They were all in favor of it. Save for Krypto.

"Nmmmm!" The mummified dog whined, shaking his head. "Nmmmm!"

But they ignored him. He was placed on Lou and Bud's backs and carried all the way to the nearby pet cemetery. It was as gloomy as one would expect, being also kind of scary in the dead of the night. However, they didn't really mind all of that.

Placing Krypto down, Bud and Lou used their new super speed to dig a big, deep hole in just a few seconds. As they were done, Snooky kicked Krypto hard, sending him into the hole.

As he laid at the bottom, squirming and letting out muffled cries for help, the five of them stood around the hole, looking down on him.

"My friends!" Ignatius said, "We are gathered here tonight to say goodbye to a common acquittance of ours! Krypto, who sadly met his end this same night."

"Nmm! Nmmmmm! Mm nmmth dmmmd!" Krypto was in a panic, shaking his head and trying to break free from the ribbons, but his weakened body from green kryptonite could not free itself. He only managed to wiggle like a worm at the bottom of his grave as Ignatius continued to lead on the eulogy to him.

"...and so, with a heavy heart, I say goodbye to my old friend Krypto! Godspeed, Super Dog! You will be missed... not!"

And with that, Isis floated over the grave and used her telekinesis to push the dirt into it. Krypto could do nothing more than wiggle into the hole and let out muffled wails of terror as he was buried alive.

Once it was done, Snooky took Krypto's collar, with his symbol in it, and placed right over the fresh grave, signaling who was the one buried in there. Lou even went as far as to pluck a flower and put it on the grave.

With this, the five of them departed, all of them agreeing that this was the best funeral they ever attended to.

ENDING 4# - MECHANIKAT'S PROPOSAL ENDING

"What if we..." Isis was saying, but she was interrupted.

"Snooky!"

Everyone turned to see who it was, and their eyes all widened as they recognized the figure. Especially the blue cat feline.

"M-Mechanikat..."

The cyborg feline approached with heavy steps, eyes locked on Snooky as he came accompanied by a couple of big robots.

"Snooky, I have been trying to contact you for the last two days, but you are ducking all my calls!" Mechanikat said as he approached. "And then I heard you have broken into a research company without me ordering you to do so and... wait, is that the Super Dog!?" He was pointing at the mummified canine with kryptonite tied to his neck, and then he noticed the orange-colord kryptonite on the necks of Snooky and the others.

"Can someone explain to me what is going on?" The cyborg demanded, and the five other animals shared looks, before Snooky started explaining.

And what he told was quite interesting for Mechanikat.

"Orange kryptonite, huh?" Mechanikat said as he leaned over, looking at the glowing stone on Snooky's collar. "And there is more of it back in Luthor Corps?"

"No, sir." Snooky said, "Just those five pieces. But I heard that Luthor was trying to find other samples of it around the world."

"Hmmm, a strand of kryptonite that can grant powers to normal animals..." Mechanikat scratched his own chin. "This could be useful..."

He then looked at the group in general, and then, suddenly, he smiled at them.

"My friends, I have to say that I am impressed." He said to the five, "I'd like to make a proposal to all of you..."

They all shared a look as Mechanikat gave them his offer of them gathering under his command as a group of animal criminals who would help him fight the superheroes of Earth and take over it.

"What, you mean, like a Crime Syndicate?" Lou asked.

"No, nothing like that." Mechanikat said, "I was thinking more like a 'Coalition of Evil Critters'. Or CEC, for short. So, what do you think? I will sponsor you and supply you with an army of robots, and in return you will help me take over Earth and get rid of anyone who comes my way, either is it the Bat-hound or the Dog Star Patrol. Sounds good?"

The five of them shared looks and, after a small conference to talk about it, they came with a decision:

"We are in." Isis said to Mechanikat, who was only happy for hearing it.

"Looking forward to working with you, boss." Isis said to him, and then she used her telekinesis to make Krypto float all the wat to Mechanikat. "And here is a present for you, to show we are fully in."

"Oh, my! Thank you! How kind!" Mechanikat said as he took the squirming Krypto into his arms.

"I have something very special in mind for you, Super Dog..." Mechanikat whispered to Krypto, before he and his new super-powered subordinates were teleported to his mothership, Krypto going with them into an uncertain future.

ENDING 5# - RESCUE/GOOD ENDING

Just as the five of them were discussing on what to do with their prisoner, there was a huge crash, as the window above them was broken as a group of individuals made it into the mall.

"Streak!?" Ignatius said.

"The Bat-Hound!?" Lou and Bud said.

"The Star Dog Patrol!?" Snooky said.

As the group of animals came in, Ace was on the lead, floating on top of his bat-hoover.

"Just as I suspected." The hooded canine said. "And they have the orange kryptonite. Everyone, be careful."

What transpired next was a battle between the five powered villains and Krypto's allies. The powers granted by the orange kryptonite were great, but the teamwork of the good guys overwhelmed the villains, forcing them to retreat.

Snooky used a blast of energy to open a hole on the wall, which allowed them to leave as Isis used telekinesis to float all of them out of there. The good guys tried to stop them, but Snooky unleashed a wave of energy that knocked them back.

"This isn't over!" Snooky yelled at them as the bad guys made their escape.

Once they recovered, they confirmed that the bad guys were gone, and they went straight to Krypto, still mummified in ribbons and squirming weakly. Ace neutralized the green kryptonite by removing it from Krypto's neck and having it wrapped in lead foil, allowing Streak to approach and easily slash Krypto free form the ribbons with his claws.

"Thanks guys..." Krypto said as he got to his feet, recovering his strength now that the kryptonite was off him. "For a moment I thought I was done for."

However, their job was still not done. Snooky and the others were out there, and their new powers made them an even greater danger than before. They would not be easy to capture now, but the heroes would do their best.

They would bring the orange kryptonite-powered critters down, together.
