"N-Nezu." Fushi's face was terrified. Nezu took notice of his green eyes, pupils small and eyes big. "Dear Fushi! No need to be so terrified. We have this under control." Fushi's eyes did not calm down. "They… Someone… Someone could have died." The tears began, and Fushi gripped his fists. "I don't want to be last again…" Fushi flinched. "Again?" "Again?" Nezu had the same question as he did, as the other teachers began to disperse. "I-I, I don't, I didn't…" What did he mean? Why did he say again? All he remembers is… "I don't remember…" Nezu's face was unreadable, as he watched Fushi squirm in confusion. "You must not feel well. How about a break? This event was quite stressful." Fushi nodded, his panic forgotten, but replaced with an existential dread. "Why did I say again?" He looked at the floor as Nezu left. "Who am I?"
"Fushi!" Izuku grabbed his best friend's fur coat, grabbing his attention with it. "Finally! Where were you?" "Ah… I reported- uh, nothing. I went to the… bathroom." "Huh? But, why did you transform then?" Fushi gulped. "The crowd got… a bit too much for me, so, uh, I transformed into a wolf to get away." Fushi could feel the worry that Izuku was clearly showing. "It's nothing, I swear." "You're really bad at lying. I won't pry anymore if you'd like." "...Please." Izuku smiled, but his worry didn't disappear, though Fushi wished it did. "Let's go home." "All right."
The clock struck 12:50 P.M., and Aizawa explained the day's lesson. "For today, both All Might and I will be supervising your training." The students murmured amongst each other as they wondered what that implied. "Um, so what are we doing anyway?" Sero spoke up, speaking for the whole class. Aizawa held up a card in response, on it, written 'RESCUE,' bold and colorful. "Rescue training, to prepare you for disaster relief, from fire or floods." A few students chimed in with their thoughts, whether negative or positive, Fushi himself was positive his powers would be helpful for rescue. "Hey! I'm not finished, you talkative brats." The class shut up, allowing Aizawa to continue. "Anyway, it's up to you whether or not you want to wear your costume. Some of them will hinder you in this activity, so we will provide gym clothes if you'd like. The training area is a bit far, so we'll commute by bus. Any questions? Too bad. Let's get ready."
"Fushi?" Uraraka walked up to Fushi, who had been wearing his gym suit. "What about that fur outfit you had earlier? Isn't that your hero costume? It seemed pretty good to me." Fushi patted his clothes. "Ah… Well, this outfit is a lot better than the heavy cloak and boots. The teacher said it was fine, right?" After getting a satisfying answer, Uraraka left Fushito to go talk to Izuku, who wore the same suit as Fushi. "What about you, Izuku?" "It didn't make it through battle training in one piece…" Bakugo, who was in front of the duo, kept his gaze straight. "The school's support company's repairing it, so I'm sticking with the gym outfit for now." The conversation was cut short, as Iida began inciting his class to enter the bus in an orderly fashion. Fushi tried to hold back his laughter when Iida found out the bus did not have seats.
On the bus, as Iida began to realize his mistake, Tsuyu brought something up. "Hey Izuku." "Hm?" "Your quirk, it resembled All Might's." Both Fushi and Izuku choked up, and Izuku began to stutter uncontrollably. "R-Really? No way, I mean, I-I get hurt when I use m-my quirk." Kirishima inserted himself into the conversation. "But still, strength-boosting quirks like yours are awesome! You can do all sorts of things. Unlike my Hardening…" This time Fushi joined in. "Yeah. Your quirk is awesome Izuku. It's very… Flashy." "You want to talk flashy? The top contenders have to be Todoroki and Bakugo." Bakugo seemed to pick up on the praise, as he clicked his tongue. Fushi smiled as he felt the happiness bubble up from Bakugo. His face turned to a frown when Tsuyu said, "But Bakugo's too unhinged. He'll never make it in the popularity scene." "What'd you say frog-face?!"
"Welcome!" The Space hero Thirteen greeted the students, as their jaws hung in shock. "It is USJ (Universal Studios Japan)!" "I guess it is USJ (Unforeseen Simulation Joint)!" While the kids began to talk to one another, Fushi saw Thirteen and Aizawa talking. "Probably about All Might. I can feel that familiar ache in that room… Must be out of hero time." "Whatever." Aizawa walked to the front of his class, facing his students. "Wait, I got a few things to say!" Thirteen caught up to Aizawa, as they held up their hand. "As I'm sure you're aware, my quirk is called Black Hole. It can suck up and tear anything, and I use it to save people from all kinds of disasters. But, my power," The air in the room became serious, a stark change compared to the cheery and excited aura just a second earlier. "Can just as easily kill. No doubt, there are a few of you in there who could very well do the same. To keep things simple, always remember that it only takes one uncontrollable quirk for people to die. This class will show you a new perspective, that your powers aren't only to hurt and fight villains, but to help those who need it. I hope you leave USJ with a new perspective on your quirks."
Aizawa scratched his hair as everyone began to praise Thirteen, Uraraka being the trailblazer. As he awaited his students, something caught his eye. What appeared to be a hole began to expand, and an ominous hand exited. Fushi shivered, as he felt that familiar malice. "It can't be!" "Everyone! Watch each other's backs!" Aizawa equipped his goggles, as Fushi began to sweat. "There's too many! How many are there?! Over 50?" "Sensei! Aren't there sensors for intruders?" Yaoyorozu expressed her confusion and concern to Thirteen. "Of course there are! They must be jamming it somehow!"
"Why would they attack a school for heroes, they stupid or something?" Denki watched as villains began to pour out of the hole. "No…" Fushi realized the quickest, that these were not your ordinary villains. "This place is far from the U.A., and they chose the time when the least amount of people would be here. It's a coordinated sneak attack!" Fushi snapped to Denki. "Wait! Denki! Send a signal for help!" Aizawa kept Fushi's advice in mind, making sure to give him extra points, if he makes it out of here alive. "Aizawa-sensei! You can't beat them all by yourself!" Izuku tried to stop Aizawa from launching into battle. "Against this crowd, you can't possibly erase all their quirks!" Aizawa scoffed. "Have some faith in me. I'm not some one-trick pony. Thirteen! Protect the kids." With that, Aizawa blazed into battle. "I better get a raise after this."
"Wow! He's holding them all off on his own!" Izuku praised his teacher, but he was interrupted by Iida. "No time to analyze! We must evacuate immediately!" Peeling his eyes away from the fight, Izuku followed Fushi, who was trailing behind Tsuyu. "Sorry." A shadow began to envelop the exit, blocking the student's only way out. "I can't allow that." The group stopped dead in their tracks, as the villain began to go on a monologue. "Greetings, we are the League of Villains. Forgive our audacity but… We're here, in this fortress of heroism, to end the life of All Might." The ghostly mist's yellow eyes began to scan the area. "But… It appears the Symbol of Peace is not present today. Disappointing… But my role remains unchanged." The mist flinched as three students appeared before him. One had red hair, the other a soft blonde, and the third a white. Each attacked in their way, Kirishima used a hardened fist to slam into the villain, Bakugo brutally threw an explosion, and Fushi created a rifle with rubber bullets. "Augh!"
The mist began to waver, but Fushi knew better than to back down. The mist's emotions weren't fear of losing, but annoyance and eagerness to do something malicious. "Don't let up!" Changing his weapon to a handgun, Fushi emptied his mag into the villain. "Hmph, you won't get me again." Fushi's side began to explode in pain, as he was sent flying to the left. As he flew, he felt his body pass something, and a splash of water awoke him.
"Hack!" Fushi coughed up water as his head breached the surface. "Damn it! Teleportation?" "Fushi?!" Hearing his name, he turned to the source. "Izuku!" "Phew, I thought you were dead. For good, I mean!" "You know I won't die!" Fushi's spine shivered as another wave of animosity made its way from below. "Let's test that theory kid!" Fushi felt his leg disappear, and he was pulled underwater. "H-Hey!" While Izuku was shocked, Tsuyu appeared behind him, grabbed his torso, and brought him to the ship in the Flood Area.
"I'm… Sorry for your loss." Tsuyu was still shocked, looking at the bloody water, she was sure Fushi was dead. "Huh? No, Fushi won't die." Tsuyu was confused, but patted Izuku's back, as she had nothing to say that she thought would snap him out of his delusions. "Don't look at me like that… His quirk doesn't let him die." "What? What does that mean? Isn't it regeneration and replication?" "W-well, you should ask him yourself." Izuku pointed at Fushi's new corpse, with a sedated fish-like villain next to him. "Urgh…" Tsuyu threatened to barf, while Izuku was used to such a sight. His childhood was a traumatizing one. Beneath the 'corpse,' a platform was floating up, pushing it above the water. The corpse began to repair itself, a gross sight of the organs reentering Fushi's torso sealed Tsuyu's fate to puking, as Fushi's eyes rolled back to the front. With a heave, he puked out all the water in his lungs and stomach, before looking up and waving to Izuku, as if reverse mutilation had not occurred. "Stop goofing around and get up here! This is bad, there's a whole hoard of them!"
Fushi took notice of the villains, who were quickly approaching. "Uh oh." Before they could land on the raft, Fushi created multiple weighted nets, trapping most of them. "Thank goodness for the support company." One of the villains managed to break out, but Fushi managed to sedate him with a dart gun. "Phew. That was close." Somewhere on the other side, Fushi heard a loud "Smash!" a crack, and a plume of water rising from the air. A pang of pain, somewhere in his hand, "Izuku broke a finger."
"What an idiot." The villain with hydrokinesis silently cut through the net, an evil grin plastered across his face. "I'll just sneak up on him, slice his head off, and be done with it." "I can feel your excitement." "Bwuh?!" With a club, Fushi knocks the villain to his back, leaving him to float pleasantly across the water. The other thugs decide the net is comfortable enough. "Please don't escape. It'll make things harder." "Fushi! You okay?" "Huh?" Fushi turned to Izuku, who was on land, across from him. "I'm doing alright. I'm more worried about your finger." Fushi looked around the building, his classmates doing well on their own. "Please… Let no one die."
As Fushi rowed his way over, he felt the most pain he ever had in a long time. His eyes paled as he saw Aizawa, arm crushed, face smashed, all the while Tsuyu and Izuku watched on. "Meet Nomu, bio-engineered Anti-Symbol of Peace!" The hand villain began to cackle. "Shigaraki…" The villain, Shigaraki, stopped laughing, as the mist villain came through a portal. "What? Is Thirteen dead?" The villain fully manifested, suit and metal bracer visible to all. "Incapacitated. Some students evaded my portals and… One escaped." "...What?" "I understand, that it sounds bad, but-" "Kurogiri. I'd turn you to dust if it weren't for you being our escape vehicle. It's all over man… For now." The three students watching from the water were perplexed. Izuku hoped that they were retreating for good, Tsuyu still waited for more information, and Fushi prayed that they would leave the rest of the class alone. "W-We're saved…" "But before that…" As a wave of bloodlust exuded from Shigaraki, Fushi's blood went cold. "T-This is the first time I've ever felt someone with such a destructive impulse!" "How about we kill a few kids?"
Shigaraki leaped with inhuman strength, dashing towards Tsuyu. "NO!" Fushi shouted, crashing into Shigaraki. "Brat! I'll kill you!" A lethal palm gripped Fushi's neck. "..." Nothing happened, no disintegration, no painful death, just a cold hand around Fushi's neck. "You're pretty cool, aren't you? Eraserhead…" The hero's face was smashed into the floor, stopping the erasure. Izuku cocked back a fist, prepared to smash the villain before his quirk regained effect. "Get! Off of him!" With a loud "SMASH!" Izuku landed his fist, and his arm was completely fine. "My arm's not broken?! Did I regulate the power-" "Izuku! Get away!" Fushi snapped Izuku out of his trance and barely managed to escape the Nomu's grasp, which had practically teleported to Shigaraki's aid. "Quite the move. Was that a 'Smash' that you said with it? An All Might fan, huh? Whatever."
There were a lot of things happening in that short period. Fushi was creating spikes and spears to ward off Shigaraki, Izuku was cautiously eyeing Nomu, and Tsuyu was pulling Izuku from Nomu. But before anything else could commence, the door slammed open, with smoke pouring out in waves. It was him, but he had lost his signature smile. "I… Am here!"
"Fushi…" The Architect watched over his creation. He wished he could appear before him, but it was not the correct time. Soon, very soon, he could finally warn him of the thieves. "Fushi, you must leave this place. The Nokkers are coming."
Now parts of the Fumetsu no Anata E world are actually gonna start appearing in the story. Hopefully I execute it right.
