Dave could tell that Erin was teetering between anger and embarrassment as they were driven to the station at the entrance to the park. It really was al his fault, since he had been the one to assure her that there was a very small chance of them being caught there. "So, when we reach the station, I am going to book you on public indecency charges. And since it's a Saturday, you'll be unlikely to bail out until Monday."

"Monday?" Erin exclaimed, turning her head to glare at him. "You do realise that there is no way I can explain our absence Monday to Director Shepperd? That this will go on our public record, and we'll be lucky if we still have jobs at the FBI when all this is said and done?"

He nodded sheepishly, glancing up at the woman in the rearview mirror. Her eyes had widened at the mention of their workplace, and he wondered if she expected them to use that weight in order to get out of trouble. Dave knew that Erin would never allow that, that she was a stickler for the rules, even if he had pulled her out of her shell in the last few months with their sexual escapades. "You two are FBI agents?"

"Yes, I'm Section Chief Erin Strauss, and he's Special Agent David Rossi. I know that that doesn't get us out of trouble, but I hope that David can use his clout to at least get us out on bail before Monday. That is the only string I will allow my partner to pull."

The ranger nodded as they fell silent once more. By the time they reached the ranger station, Erin was silently crying, and he felt his heart break to know that he had caused her such distress. "Bella, I'll go to bat for you with Shepperd. Let his wrath fall on me, okay?"

She nodded as she leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder as the ranger parked the car. "All right, let's head inside," she said as she opened the back door for them, and he prodded Erin out, following behind her as they entered the station. "I can allow you each one call. Do you have someone in mind?"

Erin looked at him, and he nodded. "I'm going to call my lawyer, Erin's going to call our friend, Aaron Hotchner. May we use our phones to do so?"

The ranger nodded as she ushered them into a small cell that had two cots in it. Erin sank onto the one closest to the door and pulled her phone out of her pocket. Dave took a seat next to her and copied her movements, setting his own phone on his leg as he looked at her. "Who should we call first?" she asked huskily, and he sighed as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him.

"I am going to call my lawyer, and see if she can arrange to contact a judge about bail for us. Once we know what that amount is, we can call Hotch and tell him the details."

Erin nodded before yawning, and he rubbed her upper arm softly. "I'll try to nap while you make that call, as I'll assume that it will take some time."

Dave gave her a small smile as she stretched out behind him, asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow. He glanced up at the ranger, who was now sitting behind her desk writing up a report, and gave her a more sheepish smile as he scrolled through his contacts to find his lawyer. As he pressed her number, he sent up a quick prayer that she was available to talk with him, since it was close to six.

"Dave! To what do I owe this pleasure?" she asked when she answered.

"Erin and I are currently sitting in a cell in the ranger station at Rock Creek Park. We…may have gotten caught having public sex by one of the rangers, and since it's Saturday, there's no way to get bail, so we'd be stuck in here until Monday. Erin is allowing me to namedrop only in hopes that we can get a judge to agree to work this late into the weekend so that we can be out for work on Monday."

He heard the bemused sigh on the other end of the line and knew that his lawyer was frustrated with this predicament. "I will see what I can do, Dave. But don't expect any miracles from me. I'm assuming that this is your one call?"

"Yeah."

"All right, I'll have the judge contact the park directly then, once I have an answer. Hopefully you have a guardian angel on your side, Dave."

"I'm hoping the same thing. Thank you, Sarah."

"Don't thank me yet, you're not free."

He chuckled as she ended the call and then stretched out next to Erin, pulling her close to his chest as he stroked her hair. The time ticked by slowly, until the phone on the ranger's desk rang loudly, disturbing them all.

"Hello?" the ranger asked as Erin woke up, looking into his eyes. He gave her a small nod as she sat up, wrapping her arm around his waist as she rested her cheek on his chest. "Yes, sir, I understand, sir. I didn't know who he was when I stumbled upon them, I promise. A fine will be perfectly fine for them, yes. I'll let Agent Rossi know. Have a good weekend."

"A fine?" Erin whispered, and he shrugged, shaking his head. "David, I told you not to use your name to get us out of anything but this cell!"

"I have no idea what Sarah said to the judge, since I wasn't on the line with her. I promise."

She nodded as the ranger ended the call and came over to their cell. "So, Judge Harper is sending over paperwork for your fine, it will be ten thousand dollars. Do you have anyone that can bring that amount here, so that we can get this taken care of before the end of my shift?"

"That's where our other call will come into play. Erin, if you want to call Hotch and ask him to pick up our car where we left it, along with stopping at our home to grab my checkbook."

"How is he going to know where we keep things like that?"

He smiled before pressing a quick kiss to her forehead. "I told him that, just in case we got into a situation like this, and needed access to our money. I trust him, he's my best friend."

"I'm glad to know that," she replied as she grabbed her phone and tapped at the screen before bringing it to her ear and then cuddling in close to him once more. "Hello, Aaron. I'm sorry to interrupt your Saturday afternoon, but David and I are currently being held at Rock Creek Park's ranger station, and need access to his checkbook so that we can pay our fine. Yes, we did…wait, you know? Never mind, we'll discuss that when we're free. Please, head to the house, get his checkbook, and then stop for our vehicle, which is still at the parking lot for the Jusserand Loop. Yes, as quickly as possible, we only have until the ranger goes off duty in three hours. Thank you."

Erin stabbed the end call button before turning her glare on him. "I'm sorry?"

"Oh, we'll discuss this when we're home, too. Because there are words I want to use that are not fit for polite society. I love you, but I am very angry right now. So, until Aaron arrives, I'm going to rest my head on your chest and sit in silent contemplation. Clear?"

"As crystal, bella." He turned his head and pressed a gentle kiss to her temple before pulling her closer to his body as they waited for Hotch to arrive. Erin made a soft sound in the back of her throat as she rubbed her cheek against his chest, and he tightened his hold on her waist as the time passed by.

Finally, after ninety minutes had passed, the door to the ranger station opened, revealing Hotch and JJ. Erin sat up straight as the woman came over to their cell, while Hotch went over to the ranger, showing her his credentials before pulling out Dave's checkbook and gesturing towards the cell with his head. The ranger nodded and rose to her feet, unlocking the cell and gesturing for them to come out. "Thanks for getting here so soon, Aaron," Erin said as she stepped out of the cell.

"You're welcome, Erin. JJ will give you the keys to your car, since I had her drive it here."

Dave nodded as he watched Erin take the keys from JJ's hand before leaving the station with her. Once they were gone, Dave hurriedly wrote a check for the fine, following the instructions that the ranger gave him before sighing and looking at his best friend. "You really stepped in it, didn't you?"

"Oh, you noticed? I thought for sure that we were catch proof after getting away with it in the conference room, even if that was a close call. You really saved our bacon there with Jen."

"And maybe you should have learned from that experience and dialed down the risk for a few weeks. I mean, Jen and I are still having fun, and we haven't even come close to getting caught. We just know when to pull back and take less risks."

"And I am going to pretend that I heard none of that," the ranger interjected, and Rossi let out a nervous chuckle as he nodded. "Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and keep the bedroom activities in the bedroom." Again, he nodded, knowing that it would indeed be a long time before he could convince his partner to take a risk like that, though he hoped that he wasn't relegated to the guest room for too long.
