There for you
One thing is certain: He, Timothy McGee, had caught a big flu.
If anyone should see him now, he would only get the "enchanting" sight of a heap of misery.
He pulled the dark blue quilt closer to his body, hoping that he wouldn't be so cold anymore and tried to catch the rest of his favorite movie between his sniffles and the occasional coughing fits.
A faint noise tears him out of his thoughts. "Well, baby, how do you feel?" Alex asks me gently as he takes off his coat and comes over to me.
"Not so great," Tim murmurs back with a weak smile. Alex squats down next to me and puts his cool hand on my forehead. "You're pretty warm. I'll make you a nice chicken soup now, yes?"
"That sounds good," McGee mumbled and leaned further into the sofa cushions. "But you really don't have to..."
"Stop it!" Alex interrupts him quickly. "I love you and it breaks my heart that you're so bad, so just let me help you."
Shortly after, he walks into the kitchen and McGee hears the clatter of pots and pans, and it fills him with a warm feeling. Alex is simply the best.
After a while, Alex comes back to the couch in sweatpants and with two bowls of steaming chicken soup. "Here's baby for you. It will do you good."
He takes his spoon and tastes the warm soup. "That tastes wonderful, Alex. " Tim praises his partner.
After dinner, Alex finally snuggles up with him under the blanket and switches the TV to an old love movie. As the scenes pass him by, he lets himself be driven by his feelings and presses himself more strongly into Alex's arms and relaxes more and more.
Through the feeling of warmth and affection, he slowly dozes off and murmurs one last "I love you" before he glides into the realm of dreams.
"I love you too," Alex murmurs back and continues to stroke Tim's soft hair.
While the film continues, Alex enjoys the moment they are together. Even though McGee is sick, it feels like this is one of the best days they've spent together.
