Summary: Kagome and Inuyasha are out on a date, and run into one of Kagome's (sort-of) ex-boyfriends.

Kagome was exhausted. She had signed up for online classes to procure her final degree in order to become a pediatrician specialized not only in human children, but youkai and hanyou as well. She plans to get started in the local pediatric office that does not discriminate, but her long term goal is to open up her own office one day.
She has been working and studying nonstop for the past few weeks, living on nothing but coffee and whatever Inuyasha forces her to put into her stomach, since she is much too tired and busy to do it herself.
She looked at the clock and sighed. He should be home soon and she really misses him. They aren't used to not being together all of the time like they were before.
Inuyasha was on his way home from work, a new job working as the first hanyou chef at a five star restaurant in the surrounding area.
He had put in his two weeks with Miroku about a month ago, thanking him for the job, and then started this new one about two weeks ago. He is starting out as a sous chef, hoping to work his way up to head chef in the near future. His plan for longer down the road is to one day open up his own restaurant.
When Inuyasha came home from work, Kagome was slightly startled since she was nose deep in her studies. Inuyasha crossed his arms as he noticed her tired state. "You need to take a break and relax, babe."
Kagome glanced up from her computer for just a second as he walked further into the room. "I can't just relax, Inuyasha. I need to study."
Inuyasha sighed as his ears pinned back, arms crossed and a glower aimed directly at his stubborn girlfriend. "You didn't even take time off between graduation and signing up for more school. Come on 'Gome, just for tonight? We can go for ice cream..." He inwardly smirked when her head popped up from looking down at her laptop, knowing how much she would want her favorite treat, and he knew just how to seal the deal.
"I don't know, Yash..."
This time he couldn't hold in the smirk when he responded. "Even if it was coffee ice cream from your favorite dessert shop?" He chuckled when he heard a few things being typed, probably saving her work he mused, then the laptop being closed and she jumped up from her desk.
"Oh, hush."
He gave her an amused look. "I didn't say anything."
She mock glared at him as she grabbed a pair of jean shorts and a short sleeve blouse from the clothes drawer. "You thought it." She walked up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'm gonna take a quick shower before we go."
Inuyasha nodded his understanding as she walked away. "Don't fall asleep in there, Kagome." He laughed when he heard her muffled shout from the bathroom.
"It was one time!"
They were walking hand in hand to the dessert shop. It was only a ten minute walk from their apartment and walking together tends to calm Kagome's nerves. She wrapped her hands around his left arm and rested her head against him.
"Thank you."
Inuyasha turned and kissed her on the top of the head, nuzzling her a little, before turning back to look where he's going. "Ya need a break every now and then."
Kagome sighed. "I know. I just really need to get good grades. I was never that great at math, so I need to study extra hard."
Inuyasha moved his right hand to place it over the one that she has holding his arm. "You're the smartest person I know. You can afford to take a few breaks here and there."
Kagome nodded her understanding as a small smile graced her features.
After they made it to the dessert shop, Kagome ordered her coffee ice cream in a cone, and Inuyasha had his peanut butter ice cream in a cup. Kagome giggled at him like she always does when he gets peanut butter flavor.
They sat across from each other at a small two person booth by the window, Inuyasha growling lightly. "Lots of people like peanut butter, woman."
Kagome chuckled again as she swallowed her ice cream. "I know, Inuyasha. I'm not laughing at you, I promise."
Inuyasha rolled his eyes. "Feh, whatever." He couldn't stop the smirk though, seeing the radiant smile on his girl's face.
After the couple finished their dessert, they walked out of the shop together. The sun had just set, even though it's only around six o'clock, leaving the only lighting being the ones around the few shops nearby, and the cars on the streets.
As they were about to walk onto the sidewalk, Kagome's heart rate increased at the voice that came from behind them.
"Kagome?"
Inuyasha instinctually put an arm around her waist at another man saying her name so familiarly. Then the stench of wolf hit his nose and he growled as they turned to face the youkai in front of them.
Kagome held onto Inuyasha as she plastered a fake smile on her face. "Oh, Koga... Hi."
Koga crossed his arms as his nose twitched and he looked Inuyasha up and down before looking at Kagome. "You lowered yourself to a half-breed when ya coulda had the real thing?" He made a disgusted face. "I thought ya were better than that, Kagome."
Inuyasha growled as his eyes flashed red, but the pink sparks that raised in Kagome's skin distracted him out of his transformation.
Kagome looked at Koga as if he was a complete stranger. She had seen him as a pretty close friend before what he had done to her to cause her to cut him off for good. Now she doesn't know what she ever saw in him to begin with.
"I love him, Koga. He is more a man than you'll ever be."
Koga rolled his eyes and stuffed his hands into his pockets as he looked back at the growling hanyou. "Ya happy with yourself mutt face? Proud of procuring the sloppy seconds?"
Kagome held onto Inuyasha's hand, flowing some calming reiki into his palm to keep him from shredding the baka apart, and responded before he could.
"If I recall, Koga... I was with someone before you. So what does that say about you?"
Koga snarled. "Oh, you mean that Hojo kid who was walkin' 'round campus with his little boy-toy?" He shook his head as the two in front of him turned red in their ire. "And what does that say about you, Kagome? Sleeping around like an average whore." He chuckled. "How long before I can convince you back into my bed?"
Kagome gasped, not expecting such a thing to be said, losing her calming reiki on Inuyasha as he pulled from her grip and threw an immediate punch to the wolf's face.
Koga grunted as he fell to the ground, before he casually stood back up and put his hand to the bleeding flesh, laughing as he saw the transforming demon in front of him. He looked into Kagome's eyes, who didn't seem at all afraid of the current situation, and scoffed in her direction.
"How could you want something like that?"
"I love him." Was her only response before Koga was on his back below a snarling Inu youkai.
Inuyasha is seeing nothing but red. All he knows is that his mate was insulted and some male tried to put a claim on her. He put a clawed hand around the idiots throat and threw him down to the ground.
"Mine!"
Koga coughed as he glared at the youkai. "You can have her! Who would want a bitch who refuses a mark, anyway!?"
Kagome interrupted with a hand to Inuyasha's shoulder, stopping him from killing the wolf. "Inuyasha. It's okay."
Inuyasha growled as his bright crimson eyes locked onto her calm brown ones. "Mine."
Kagome nodded her head as she moved her hands to the collar around her neck. "See this? I'm yours." She bared her throat for him, knowing that is what is needed to be done to appease his demon, and she was quickly proven right.
Inuyasha growled as he jumped off of the threatening youkai and wrapped his hand around Kagome's throat instead, not enough to hurt her, but to keep her in place. Kagome lowered her arms back to her side as she tried really hard to keep her arousal in check; Koga was right there for crying out loud!
Koga coughed from the soreness of his throat, got back to his feet, staring at the two, and he could smell how much Kagome actually enjoys what is happening. He scoffed and looked at her disgustedly.
"You ain't the girl I thought ya were, Kagome. See ya." He ran off as Inuyasha growled threateningly in his direction, not even thinking about the fact that the hanyou turned youkai could do some damage to a defenseless human girl.
Kagome ignored the retreating youkai and kept her gaze on her boyfriend. She took in his features with great interest. His piercing crimson eyes with light blue irises in the center. His longer fangs protruding from his lips that are currently up in a snarl. The single jagged purple marking that is on each of his cheeks. She felt the familiar warmth pool pleasantly in her lower abdomen. Even as she sees what may be perceived as a dangerous youkai, she knows he would never hurt her.
Fuck her into oblivion, yes.
Actually hurt her, no.
Inuyasha leaned forward and sniffed her, growling contently when he scented her heightened arousal. He looked around, sniffing the air, seemingly trying to find a place for them to go.
Kagome's heart rate sped up at the thought.'Out here?' Somehow that made her even wetter, and judging by Inuyasha's devilish smirk, he knows exactly what she is thinking.
She was quickly spun so her back is to his chest, his right hand still around her throat as he began to walk her forward and towards the back of the dessert shop. Kagome couldn't stop the nervousness that plagued her, but the excitement was quickly overriding her trepidation.
Inuyasha was quick to pull them behind the brick building and push her back against the wall, his hand tightening just slightly around her throat. Kagome gasped when he slammed his lips to hers, all fangs and tongue, making her moan and reciprocate easily. She put her hands around his neck, but his threatening growl made her pull them back to her sides. His demand clear; submit.
Inuyasha let out a soft grumble, a way to communicate he is pleased with her, then pulled back and moved his hand from her throat to her jean shorts. He searched her eyes and smirked at her half lidded gaze.
"Mine."
Kagome nodded. "Yours."
Inuyasha flexed his claws, making Kagome's eyes widen before her hand covered his.
"Wait! Don't rip my clothes while we're out here." She doesn't know if he can understand her, but she sure as hell is not walking home naked!
Inuyasha cocked his head to the side before leaning forward and sniffing her neck. He seemed to have gotten distracted by something, because his hands moved from her shorts to grasp her waist as a large growl broke free, reverberating through his chest.
Kagome watched as he glared down at her with what seemed like confusion, hurt and anger. She didn't understand what made him feel that way, but she took this opportunity to unzip and unbutton her jean shorts before dropping them to her ankles and kicking them off haphazardly. She is pretty certain sex is going to happen no matter what he is about to say, so she might as well get rid of the barrier before he does.
Inuyasha's lengthened claws dig slightly into her waist before speaking the first real sentence since he changed. "You are not marked."
Kagome's eyes widened as a small trickle of nervousness snuck its way to the pit of her stomach. It's not like they haven't talked about it, but they agreed it wasn't the time...
"N-no... not yet."
Inuyasha's grip tightened, probably leaving bruises, but she doesn't care at the moment. A lot more has been left behind during their play anyway.
"Why?"
Kagome gulped. How do you explain to your Inu hanyou unexpectedly turned youkai boyfriend that he hasn't marked you yet because you aren't ready? She knows they are true mates. She knows they will be together forever, but she doesn't want to get marked until after they are married. She hasn't let that little detail slip because she didn't want to sway him on proposing. She wanted that to happen when he was ready too.
She also doesn't know if he'll remember any of this when he is back to himself, so she can't just tell him that either.
She took a deep breath in before speaking. "We decided to wait, Inuyasha. But I'm still yours. No one else's."
Inuyasha growled as he pushed her further back into the wall, caging her between it and his hard body. He leaned forward to sniff her neck again before lowering and sniffing along the rest of her body. She allowed him to do as he pleased; she isn't frightened, she just knows that he needs to figure things out on his own.
When he was finished with his inspection, he stood back into his previous position and leaned forward so they are only a breath apart.
"I will mark you."
Kagome felt her heart rate speeding up at those words. "Y-yes, but in the future. Not now."
His lips curled back in a threatening snarl as he gripped her waist hard once again. "I'm going to mark you inside and out."
Kagome's eyes widened as she grasped the true meaning of his words. She had just showered before coming here, so she doesn't smell like him at the moment. He wants to scent mark her. Her arousal came back with a vengeance at the thought. Before she could even do more than a small nod, he slammed his lips back onto hers and lifted her shirt up to above her breasts.

He cocked his head and looked at her questioningly for a moment. She knows he can understand her now, so she assumes he is just confused on what the big deal is. She waited on baited breath as he stared at her, then let the breath go when he decided to heed her request and pulled his pants and boxer briefs down in one go. She moaned aloud as she saw his throbbing erection spring free.
She jumped when she heard the sound of an engine starting, eyes widened for a moment as her heart pounded within her chest before she closed her eyes tight, hoping he doesn't do anything to show people they are there and clearly about to fuck out in the open.
Inuyasha growled lightly towards the unknown threat, but deemed it unworthy of his claws when the sound got quieter as whoever it was drove away from the front parking lot.
Kagome sighed in relief, the shop must be closing down soon.

Inuyasha let out a heavy breath of relief, especially scenting the complete truth from her. He pulled away slightly to look her in the eyes once again.
"What the hell happened?"
Kagome blushed as she recounted the story, from the point Koga showed up to right when they finished. Inuyasha was crimson by this point as he lifted their clothes and helped her get dressed.
"I'm sorry, 'Gome. I didn't want you to see that side of me. It actually hasn't come out since I was a kid and tried to kill my older brother." He rolled his eyes as if that little tid bit of information wasn't a big deal.
Kagome sighed as she finished putting her clothes on, grimacing at the stickiness and definitely in need of a shower when they get home, then cupped his cheeks so he could look at her.
"I love all of you, dummy. How many times do I gotta tell you that? And it was really hot, how you wanted to scent mark me like that."
Inuyasha groaned at the reminder. He can easily smell his cum all over and inside of her, and it is beginning to be unbearably hard to keep himself not hard.

He chuckled and shook his head in amusement as they continued their walk home in comfortable silence.
After they were home, showered and dressed comfortably, they layed down in bed for the night. Kagome layed on her left side and wrapped her right arm around Inuyasha's waist. She looked up into his golden eyes and smiled warmly at him.
"You definitely gave me a date to remember, Inuyasha."
He blushed adorably as he leaned down to kiss her. Then he rested his forehead against hers. "I started to remember what happened. Are ya sure I didn't do anything wrong?"
Kagome smiled and nodded as she cupped his cheek to look deep into his eyes. "I'm positive. You were a little confused on why I'm not marked, but you easily rectified that yourself." She giggled at his blush. "I promise, Inuyasha. I really liked it." She stroked his cheeks where his markings once were. "And don't forget, I could have used my reiki at any point." She took a deep breath in. "B-but... if you honestly tried to mark me, I probably would have let you..."
Inuyasha's eyes widened as his hold on her tightened. "Really?"
Kagome nodded as her blush increased. "I mean, we were born to be together. I want you to mark me Inuyasha, I just..." She sighed, not knowing how to explain what's going on in her head.
Inuyasha cupped her cheeks to keep her gaze on him. "Hey, I ain't gonna make you do that. I know how big a deal it is for a human."
Kagome sighed. "I do want that, Inuyasha."
Inuyasha smiled as he gave her a chaste kiss. "I know. Now's not the time and I understand that, Kagome."
Kagome let out a breath of relief before pulling him in by the nape of his neck for a sweet kiss. The kiss turned more insistent and sensual as the minutes ticked by and she moaned against his mouth. Their hands began working to get rid of the barriers between them.
